Lovely atmosphere inside and out, friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you, they was so good with my 4 year old son and amazing food, lots of food to chose from on the menus, we had a lamb shank meal, mixed grill and my son had sausages off the kids menu, all came out piping hot, lovely quality and perfectly cooked it was that nice we had desserts, the sticky toffee pudding and custard was amazing, definitely be going back, Plenty of free parking spaces.

Amazing service and food as always. Lovely venue and friendly team. Always go above and beyond. Thankyou I will be back.

We called in one teatime, had a warm welcome, had great, friendly and quick service. The food was good value for money and the puddings were 🤤 (see pic below, sticky toffee pudding and custard!) I was especially impressed with Dean (that’s the name on my receipt) he was friendly and helped me use my Blue Light app on my phone. Will deffo call again. Sam.

Absolutely awful dining experience ☹️ Firstly the pub was freezing cold with no heating/ radiator nor fire on therefore my elderly mum sat there shivering with cold. The Sunday lunch food offering was hardly edible, from frozen, tasteless and waterlogged vegetables, frozen roasts that were grey inside 🙄 extremely fatty beef, soggy Yorkshire pudding which again frozen and to top It off the whole dinner was only luke warm. The latte coffee was tasteless. The toilet had no paper which is wholly unacceptable given it was Sunday afternoon. All in all we will not be returning to this establishment and I not recommend wasting money as there are many nicer restaurants in Wilmslow.

We spent the afternoon at the Unicorn for our Sunday dinner. There were seven of us (four adults and three small children). The staff were very welcoming, courteous and accommodating. We were in a separate room from the drinkers, which was ideal for the little ones. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the pub itself is very attractive. There is a kids' menu as well as the main one. Everyone agreed that the food was delicious and very reasonably priced, and the portions were generous. Nice wine list too! It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, thanks to the delightful staff, in the dining area, on the bar, and of course in the kitchen. I would recommend this pub to anyone, unreservedly. A big thank you to everyone involved, and our compliments to the chef!

Excellent! First time coming here. Came with a friend and her children for the children's Pumpkin Party and what can I say excellent from start to finish. Hosted by a lovely lady called Keisha who always made sure the kids were kept busy and entertained and let the grown ups have a catch up. The children thoroughly enjoyed the food and desert and it was lovely and freshly cooked. Can't wait to see what other events this lovely pub has on, first visit but certainly won't be the last! Thankyou to all involved for today!

Very disappointing experience . We were told on arrival that everything battered was off the menu which meant 4 out of 9 of us couldn’t have our choices. The chicken strip starters were very rubbery, the humous was tasteless as was the mint gravy (think they forgot the mint!) with the lamb shank ( the meat was however nicely cooked) . The coffee machine including tea wasn’t working, the food took ages, there was a lack of cutlery and serviettes left in the centre of the table and we had to grab from other tables. The portions really varied ( lasagne was cut in slices and plonked in a dish, one person got half the size of another and only one piece of focaccia but another had two slices? ). The soup and fish cakes were apparently very nice. The brownie was a small piece of choc sponge with sauce ( overpriced) . Table for 9 celebrating a big birthday was in the bar under the tv playing football ( to be fair , I didn’t book the table so maybe the person who did had been told about the poor location) ? Overall, a disappointing experience .

Extremely poor service and to call themselves a restaurant is a joke. Booked table on line and arrived on time. Purchased drinks and asked if we wanted to order food, but two large parties had arrived earlier than their prebooked time and ordered their food and that there was a one hour waiting time on food. Tried to explain that this should not be allowed to happen, but the so called manager was not interested. Whilst we finished our drinks, we saw over half a dozen meals being taken back into to the kitchen, so it could have been a wise decision not to wait for food. If you intend to use this establishment be prepared to wait for food, maybe take a sandwich with you.

Lovely family pub, 1st visit family (including our dog) get together in this fantastic pub, great atmosphere, gorgeous beer garden with entertainment, staff were welcoming and friendly, we all really enjoyed our food. Dean&Callum were so helpful and even provided treats for our dog! We all had a great evening and will definitely return when next visiting! A very well deserved 5* all round.

We go regularly to the Unicorn and our kids love it, there are activities for them to do whilst waiting and the kids menu offers a great variety of things reasonably priced. Good quality food and a friendly atmosphere- would recommend!

This is a great pub serving classic pub grub with friendly and attentive staff and the quality of the food is great.

We visit this pub semi-regularly for the quiz. The food is good and the service is attentive. The first time we visited, they'd run out of the Chocolate Fondant dessert, but otherwise they've always had what we want. The ale selection is good too.

Called in on way to pick up family from the airport, lovely food, Callum and John very welcoming. Very convenient for the airport too!!

Visited the Unicorn for pub quiz Tuesday. Quiz host was fun , welcoming and entertaining We had a nice meal, good value. The staff were fab. Very rare to be able to say this these days. Lovely local pub with really friendly staff - shout out to John and Callum who didn’t mock us too much when one of us ordered mash with a side of garlic bread! Really welcoming - makes you feel comfortable. I had the confit duck - absolutely delicious - compliments to the chef! This is a regular stop for us and we enjoy it every time.

Visited as a family of 10 so reserved a table and also pre booked roasts as it was a Sunday. We had the chicken sharing platter for starter (along with a few other bits) and it was really good and good value, the mains of fish, scampi and lamb shank were also very good however unfortunately the roast were disappointing. The Yorkshire puddings were rock hard and unable to be cut with a knife and the stuffing was very doughy/stodgy. The puddings were all very good, and I think between us we ordered most of them. We were asked to order drinks at there bar as they were short staffed which wasn’t an issue at all, the staff were really lovely and they always helped bring the drinks to the table once ordered. We were in a quieter part of the pub which suited us as we had three generations of family, and being on a large table can make it hard to hear conversations if I’m a loud area. The bill was very reasonable for both food and drinks. I would like to think that the issue with the roasts was a one off and it wouldn’t put us off returning but maybe ordering something different. Overall a very pleasant family meal out.

Eat here regularly and the food is always excellent and the staff are amazing. They always go above and beyond in helpfulness and service, especially as I am often with an elderly and immobile relation.
