Proper Towny pub. 7 different lagers in tap, not much else. No complaints

Pretty typical pub, plenty of options and nice small private spaces to drink. Literally everything on tap for anyone and everyone. Pleasant little pub with a spacious outdoors.

A friendly welcome after our travels back from a visit to Manchester where it was really rather late but everyone there in full good spirits. Soany in our group so we sat outside in the undercover shelter. A great casual pub. Beautiful pint of Directors.

Great local pub and what really makes it is the fantastic staff. Service with a smile, lots of banter and a good laugh. Especially rate the brunette with loads of tattoos, funniest and most intelligent person I've encountered in Nantwich. Landlord should definitely give her a raise!

Old-man (and dog) boozer with low ceilings but a tarp-covered beer-garden that expands to the old carpark in the summer. Cheap but in need of a few odd-jobs doing (in the gents, for example, where the cistern is without a lid).

I've always experienced the nicest of atmosphere's while at the boot & shoe. The staff are always jolly & considerate.

We had eaten out in Nantwich and wanted a bar to watch the footy. After being disappointed at the White Horse and The Vine, I went to the Boot & Shoe. The landlord could not have been more accommodating. He had space for me and my partner, despite there being another 3 in the party. He then came to find me and said that people had moved and the other 3 could join. We were delighted. He was relaxed and chilled but covid regs were maintained. The girls serving were polite, friendly and the whole evening was great (despite the result!) We are about to move to the town and look forward to drinking there again. Thank you to the team..

Friendly folk, staff are two half's of useless. Waiting 30 mins for our order to come out. A lad called Tom working in there is one of the most useless customer service staff in have ever come across. Would not go back soon

Pub itself is lovely along with the majority of the staff, however one of the waitresses was so disgustingly rude I am truly in shock, to swear and shout at customers is absolutely unacceptable and I certainly won’t be returning. From what I’ve heard from others it seems to appear she has a recurring attitude with girls which is extremely immature and I’d expect members of staff to be above that catty behaviour. Many people who I have spoken to have noticed this so clearly it needs resolving immediately or will impact the lovely business behind her.

Great pub and usually love going there, however we have now had multiple bad experiences with one of the servers. Young blonde lady who swore and shouted at us throughout the whole night, and was doing the same to others sat in the pub too. Has ruined multiple evenings for us now so we won’t be returning

Went for drinks with friends and was spoken to very poorly by a young blonde waitress who proceeded to swear, on multiple occasions, at my and my friends and has made my experience at this lovely pub unenjoyable the last few times I’ve been. She called us disgusting names that to me should be a fireable offence, and after speaking to other people in other pubs that night it revealed we were not the only ones disguised by her behaviour considering her job is to look after the customers, not bully them into wanting to leave.

It's a nice clean and tidy pub,with friendly bar staff and a good atmosphere.The only draw back is the types of lager that are on sale.Apart from that this is a brilliant pub with an excellent beer garden.

Disappointed that at 9:50pm the doors were locked and we were told to drink up....if it was half 10 then yes I'd understand.... but not 9:50... been a regular in the pub since I moved to Nanttwich and tonight was the 1st time I have ever felt unwelcome and that my custom was unwanted!

Haven't been in here before. Friendly place not very busy on Tues afternoon. Clean, and music at sane volume. Well stocked behind the bar. Clean lav (men's - didn't check the ladies') Wifi (cloud) not connecting - please re-boot the router or otherwise fix. Barman was sympathetic but had no access to the router upstairs.You need to change your opening times here from 11.30 close to 23.30 - internet thinks you are only open for half an hour :)

Called in here for a quick drink, very quiet for a Saturday night. Not much going on and lacked a bit of atmosphere.

Ok pub but, for pities sake, if you like real ale stay away from the Crispy Piggy ale...You have been warned! (Alright, some might like it but it's beer but it tastes of apple sauce. Yes really...)

Standard old English pub. Lots of good seating options, central location so easy to meet up with friends and family. Good prices and a good selection of drinks for a small place. Best part about the night was the friendly and welcoming service.

This was the third pub on our Nantwich tour. Not many in but the locals were informative. Even had very nice free hot pies. perfect

There is no live music. There is a TV, but it doesn't show anything. And the cider is good! It’s not clear, but there are empty barrels on the street.

Shame there’s no bouncy castle anymore because the kids loved it and only some football but still great beer and nice to chill in the beer garden.... there is no food here so don’t expect to much...

Been in a few times, in the day time its a lovely family friendly and welcoming pub, dogs allowed also! At night always busy atmosphere and lots of drinks choices at reasonable prices. Also, great location right in the centre of Nantwich and so perfect if you want to have a walk and shop, or a great place to start or end a pub crawl of all the pubs Nantwich has to offer!

Not been in for ages, they used to have a good selection of well kept ales. Now just the same old beers you see everywhere else. 3 of us had different beers, none of them were good. Shame

Came here on Wednesday lunchtime for a pint and sat outside in the beer garden. Staff were friendly and other drinkers were too. An old fashioned pub with a good atmosphere and overall good prices and customer service.

He revisado este pub el año pasado y nos encantó. Anteriormente estaba ocupado. Volvimos ayer bien, qué cambio. El lugar estaba vacío y las mesas todos abollados. Sólo queríamos una comida en el bar, así que nos quedamos y tres de nosotros pedimos pizzas desde el menú muy limitado en la pared y un nuggets de pollo y patatas fritas. Pronto llegó a decir señora pollo nuggets así que no era sólo la pizza, mi amigo no le gusta la pizza así que él tenía sólo patatas fritas. Nada más estaba disponible. Cuando llegó las pizzas eran tan pequeñas que servían en la placa lateral.Nunca había visto este pequeño pizzas Pizzas sólo normal, nada especial.El precio era alto con comida para los 4 de nosotros venir a más de £35 para esto. La señora nunca llegó a ver aunque éramos los únicos comer fuera de un muy pocas personas en el lugar.Es una pena que tenía algo que decir. Cuando entramos no despedirse o estaba bien, así que nos marchamos y nos fuimos a la siguiente pub, unos 3 puertas, estaba lleno!No nos volveremos aquí y serán la difusión para mantener lejos a menos que te encanta pizzas diminutas.

Paramos aquí para algunas bebidas, yo bebo gin y me sorprendió ver la gran selección de ginebras de aquí, me quedé muy impresionado, por decir lo menos. El personal era muy amable y servicial, incluso me bayas desde atrás para adornar mi ginebra! ! Se asegurará y volver aquí! !

I always pop in with my dogs when I am in Nantwich. Great food for extreamly reasonable prices. Bar staff are warm and friendly and always welcome me and my little dogs. Old pub with character warm with a real fire in winter so cosy.

Another great pub offering a large selection of food for many different types of clientele. Always guarenteed excellent service from the bar and kitchen staff. With options of eating in or using the outside garden area.

When the weather is nice me and my wife can enjoy a nice drink and our son loves the bouncy castle. Staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable.

Mientras caen los amigos que visitamos en Nantwich estación de tren. No volveré. El lugar parecía estar lleno de perros. Los miembros del personal eran animales petting y girando a verter las bebidas para los clientes. Como un grupo de 4, intentamos puentear un par de mesas redondas en la ventana. Tuvimos que lavar las manos antes de la resistencia de nuestro estar. Tiene obviamente decidió en su preferido, y no clientela no calificar.

Fuimos de un té el sábado sobre las 6 de la tarde. Había mucha gente, pero encontramos una mesa para nosotros tres. Servidor educado que era rápido para traer las alfombrillas y cubiertos. No esperar tanto y todos elegimos el pastel de carne con cerveza,...

Walked in and the staff were outside smoking. Had to wait 10 mins for him to finish.Sat for most of the day watching the owners dog go in and out of the kitchen. I would find it interesting to see what cheshire east council said about animals in the kitchen.not a bad pub, they are nice people its just that Id never eat there and the service is hit and miss

Me and my friend visited for lunch as we wanted some good pub grub, but unfortunately we didn't look at trip advisor reviews before coming! when we first got here we just got grunted at telling us where the menus were and then after we'd eventually got to order, we waited a good 40 minutes for our food and considering there was no one else in here when we ordered, I think that's ridiculous. There was another table of 2 who came in after we'd ordered for food, and they had got their food, eaten it and left before we'd even got ours! we most certainly shall not be coming back here again!

Very popular pub. Good atmosphere most of the time. Good classic pub food chips with everything. They do have different ales on from time to time. Good pub if you want to watch the football.

We visited during the summer and thoroughly enjoyed the company, the laughter and the drinks. The staff were extremely pleasant and most welcoming.

I will never return to this place after today. Took a comfortable 5 minutes to get served, every time I went to the bar. Then, despite having the menu in my hand along with the correct money, I was told that the menu price was wrong, and it was actually 4.95 instead of the stated 4.25 for a toasted sandwich. I refused to pay the extra. Then it took 40 minutes to arrive. I will be telling all my friends never to go there. Lazy, miserable, thoroughly incompetent staff. A smile costs nothing. Unfortunately, there was not an option to give a negative amount of stars.

I live locally and don't go in here often because it does seem to incredibly busy most of the time, which should be a good sign? I've asked friends why is it so popular? It's not very clean and always seems quite rowdy, the universal opinion seems to be that it's popular because they have pretty barmaids! We had a couple of burgers, it took an age 45 mins for the food to arrive, the burgers were average and the staff seemed to treat us an inconvenience, seems we missed the pretty barmaids as well! All in all not great.

Visited, with my step-son's family, including 5 children. It was a busy Friday, early evening. They have a beer garden with a bouncy castle set up for the younger children and a screened off area for over 18's -for smoking I presume. The meals are cheap and cheerful. They have no fuss easy to see gluten free options too. For a basic meal and a relaxing drink it's worth going.

OK so the bar is small and it can get pretty cramped in there, but its still a pretty decent pub. Staff were friendly, very decent pint of Tetley Gold, prices were reasonable and they had loads of TVs showing the football.

This pub is a regular stop for us whether we are looking for a Sunday lunch or midweek pub grub. The staff are always very welcoming and serve a range of good hearty pub food at a good price. Took a friend this week for lunch enjoying a hot beef Baguette served with homemade chips in front of a roaring log burner...excellent.

Why do pubs serve food when the staff serving aren't interested in doing so. Good drinking pub there are so many nice eating places in Nantwich before I would go back again

This is a very, typical british pub. but the food is soooo unexpected.I've eaten here twice now, once with my partner and then I brought my family. The food is sooo cheap for the value! I recommend the Nachos but not as a starter, there is tooo much!The burgers are amazing! There is also a bouncy castle outside for little onesHowever, the decor may need updating.

When i moved to nantwich, the food is not the best but the atmosphere is great the little mini festival they have in the summer is great too! cant fault it for that.

Worth noting, this is a Manc Pub, if that's your bag go for it, for us it isn't, just sayin... Beer is fine, but there are so many others that serve good beer, they don't have tomato juice, really!

I had fish and chips which consist of three small strips of over cooked fish, the chips were over cooked too and hard to eat, as for the over nuked mushy peas....my wife asked for scampi and curly fries as she doesn't like chip, but when the meal came out it was chips, plus the scampi was also over cooked.Staff need to pay attention and the cook should leave.

Found a lovely little pub in Nantwich called the boot and shoe the bar maid Nicola was very friendly and welcoming and was more than happy to help what a credit to the pub she is the food was great value for money and good portion sizes my wife and I will definitely visit again soon.

The place is a tip. Only go if you like badly microwaved food. Barstaff are only interested in regulars. ' Nil point'
