Very long waiting time. We had booked table at 6 and was waiting for service half an hour. From 6 it took 2 hours to complete our orders. We are disappointed.

We had booking at 6 pm . We. Have been waiting 30mins for the waitress to get our order and another 1.5hrs for the food to be served. The food was nice but the portions are a bit small. As we all been seating at the same table food was given in a random order , so some of us already have finished with their food while others was still waiting . I don’t blame the waitress as she was a nice lady . But they should have more staff to be able to run the service. To your reply- First of all you should inform us when we was booking about preorder.nothing was mentioned. I’ve been in so many other restaurants -bigger and busier than yours and never have to wait for food more than 2 hours. That’s ridiculous and very disappointing.

The restaurant is super food, the atmosphere is great, come and you won’t regret it.

My partner took me to experience her side of the worlds cuisine, and honestly the table was blown away. Very friendly, the food was delicious, great selection of drinks. We had a selection of dishes for the table. A special mention for the soups that came out to start! Great dive into the world of soups! Nothing like I've ever had! We shall return, thank you so much!

We came here to try some traditional ukranian dishes; and we were blown away! Not only was the food delish but the prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was lovely! It was the perfect afternoon! We plan on returning with more family members in due course. The staff were the perfect amount of friendly and proffessional! Definately worth the trip!

Just ordered Uber eats from this restaurant and I must say it's amazing. Unfortunately Uber doesn't let to leave comments so I'm commenting here. The portions may look small but they really aren't I feel incredibly full and had to leave the dessert I ordered for later cause there's no space in my stomach. The wait was longer than the app stated but I wasn't actually expecting it in 25 mins as I'm pretty sure food there is prepped for order. I think the mashed potato should be called creamy mash cause my god it is creamy. Everything was fantastic. First time ordering but most certainly not the last.

I visited here with my parents. We each ordered something different - holubtsi (cabbage rolls), deruny with mushrooms, chicken and cheese, and bograch finished off with Napoleon cake. All of the dishes were absolutely delicious. Genuinely, this was one of the best meals out I have ever had. The food was exceptional. Will definitely return when we can! Go to this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

Welcome to Wednesbury on Wednesday - wet, cold, grey, windy - some Ukrainian Sunshine is exactly what I need - hot chicken soup and Varenyky and just a little something sweet to finish with. The decor is great and I appreciate the authentic music playing - travelling without needing to travel. I've spent a lot of time in central Europe (and a happy, but short, time in Ukraine) and this is the sort of proper authentic home-style cooking you need on a bitter spring day. Hours later and I am still feeling pleasantly full. I'll be back to try some of the dishes I haven't had before. Atmosphere - I am sure that when it is packed, for a special event, this place feels great - but Wednesday lunchtime I was unable to generate a buzz on-my-ownsome.

Delicious food, but a bit expensive considering the portions

Five went for an early dinner. We all enjoyed the Ukrainian music videos, the decor and the food. And we ate too much. " Just like home" my friend said.

Me and my Ukrainian lodger Maksym went to visit the sunflower restaurant to try some good authentic Ukrainian food and it was wonderful to be there trying Ukrainian food for the first time . The food was delicious and filling and the restaurant was very friendly with some nice touches and info on Ukraine with pictures and drawings. I would definitely recommend a visit to this friendly little gem and Julia the owner was wonderful too making us feel welcome. Please support local independent businesses and definitely Ukrainian ones in the UK . Brent.

I have been to Ukranian Sunflower quite a few times now and tried different dishes each time and so far they have all been first class. The Napoleon cake is to die for! If you have not already been, I would strongly recommend a visit - you will not be disappointed.

Wednesbury may not normally be on your list of destinations, but now it should be. This restaurant is a wonderfully authentic slice of Ukraine. I felt transported back there in every way - the decor, the music, the hospitality of the host. The food was all very tasty - between the four of us we had borsch, bograch, varenyky of various flavours, amazing chebureky, salo on black bread, cabbage and carrot salads. We were struggling to squeeze in dessert, but it was worth the effort, especially the light crepes with tvorog and raisins and Napolean cake. The children opted for pancakes with strawberries and chocolate spread, and they enjoyed kompot and coke to drink. We had beers and coffee. I was very glad to learn that soon they will be stocking Ukrainian beers, so we need to come back!

We went to the Ukrainian Sunflower to celebrate the new year. It was an amazing night, food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. This is not the first time we have been here, each time it gets better and better. I highly highly recommend this place, the food is out of this world nice. The prices are good and the food portion is great. They even do takeaways if you want to try traditional Ukrainian food at home. A great place that serv fresh and quality food for a very good price, my wife told be that this is definitely how homemade ukrainian food shuld taste, yes you have to wait a hit for the order to arrive but if you stop a second to realise that is all freshly made the extra 5 minute of wait is not a problem at all, staff speak English perfectly when we spoke to them (so I don't understand people that complained about it??? the bed reviews also look like people who never eaten there that just give a pure reviews due to the restaurant origins) definitely will come back as eating her bring back good memories for my wife childhood, the place have definitely a home a like feeling

Went with a group of friends mid week, good atmosphere. The restaurant is set out in a traditional Ukrainian style. Yulia was very welcoming and talked us through the menu. Very traditional Ukrainian food, wholesome, very tasty and home made, Great value. The borsch with a soft garlic roll in olive oil was to behold. Bring your own alcohol or there is an off licence next door. Certainly would recommend.

I went there with family. Not many food options. My children was struggling for choice. I and my daughter ate two different salad- "shuba" and "olivje". All ate some pork cutlets and potatoes. No any sauce... After that we get honey cake and pancakes. Food and atmosphere was good.

We were a party of 5 and each had food and a drink, total came to £45 which is reasonable. The food and service was amazing! Highly recommended. The portion sizes are big, and they honey cake was outstanding. The only thing we weren’t too keen on was the seating as all very hard with no cushions, but still had a very good experience.

After a highly anticipated wait to eat here, and travelling just over 100 miles, trekking cross-country, I can safely safe this restaurant is worth more than its weight in gold. Along with my girlfriend, we came during a quiet time and even still the atmosphere was extremely pleasant. It was very clean, and put off a homely, traditional vibe that can't be replicated in other establishments. Despite our eyes being bigger than our appetite, we still managed to eat more than our weight and some, with plenty left to take home. The food was top class, freshly made and of high quality. A particular stand out for me was the Borscht, which as a first time experience, left nothing to be desired. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who enjoys a nice cosy and comfortable environment in which to enjoy mouth-watering homemade food, to visit here!! 10/10 would come again ⭐🌻💙💛

The courier was late, the order time was changed twice. The courier doesn't speak English. The food was over-salted and of course arrived cold because I received my order 1-1.5 hours late.
