By far the best coffee in Hull. I am sat writing this as I drink it because I feel every one needs to know about it. Amazing all round! the atmosphere is so chill and calm il be going out of my way to come back here .

Hidden away a bit, this is an unflashy gem. Good food, fine coffee. Heartily recommended.

Cocktails are fantastic here and the people who run it are very genuine and give you a warm welcome. Need to visit next time there is a food service as I have heard good things.

The only place to go for coffee in Hull, it’s the best coffee anywhere really, in my opinion; a lot of places I try out of town just don’t live up to still. The food is also amazing, so worth a trip for one of the special wine pairings events. There’s also incredible cocktails and wine. It’s a really stunning space, super friendly owners who really know their stuff about their offering. 100/10 recommend

Coffee, wine and cocktails are excellent. On all three fronts probably the best in hull. The cheesecake is next level! The atmosphere, service etc are so welcoming. This is a gem of a venue...love it!

Dropped in for a coffee and sandwich because it looked like a bustling, trendy cafe.... and it is! The premises have an "industrial" look and feel in it's design and a large veranda which would have been even better had it been slightly sunny 😎 It's slightly unusual in that they only had 2 sandwich options A or B. Both were cheese based. A was brie, cheddar and cranberry in a fabulously fresh grained brown bap. Option b was gorgonzola, cheddar, tomato and caramelised onion in the same bap. Probably the best "cheese" sandwiches ever! Faaabulous! There are numerous coffee variety options which the team are more than happy to discuss with you and the coffee was noticeably tasty with exceptional presentation if you have a white! We also observed some very nice looking white wine being poured for another table, so an even better reason for returning the next time that we are in Hull

Lovely Brie and Cranberry sandwiches coupled with great drinks in a friendly cosy atmosphere. Recommended

Didn't try the food, very fancy and rustic, bit steaply priced for a latte 3.50 but tasted great though it was only a small drink. The hot chocolate looked delicious. Worth the visit.

Best specialty coffee in Hull, usually 3-4 beans available for pour over plus batch brews. Nice changing selection of pastries. No wifi but a nice work space inside and outside

Great coffee house in the centre of Hull. We were visiting friends in the area who highly recommended the place, so we just had to try it. Owners are very friendly, coffee was perfect and the fresh banana loaf was the best that we have ever eaten. Will definitely be going again the next time that we are in the area.

This place has best coffee in Hull. Bit tucked away in the arcade, but when found, it’s a gem of a place with great service and friendly baristas.

Great little coffee bar situated in the gorgeous, historic arcade. Calm, ambient music, polite service and good banana cake. Has seating outside to front of premises. The arcade is worth a visit and this establishment certainly is too.

Popped in for a couple of takeaway coffees. Super foamy and tasty, just not piping hot as you’d like. Cool little space.

Lovely place for a coffee or hot chocolate choice of different milks available as well a decaf coffees you can also buy coffee etc in the shop staff very friendly including the little helper pipp the dog whose job it is to look cute and get as many strokes and fusses as she can xx

Two beautiful coffees, my oat milk latte was delicious as was the dairy one. Vegan savoury pasty from opposite Two Gingers completed a lovely lunch. It was really good to be able to sit 'inside' outside and be warm enough to enjoy our coffee. Lovely environment.

Amazing, proper hot chocolate. Also while places are only open for outdoors seating, Two Gingers's outdoors seats benefit from a good roof to help shelter you from the rain!

They make a mean flat white and have plenty of coffee accessories, various brewers and filter papers for sale too.

Coffee in the tiniest cup ever, yet it wasn't espresso. If you have a spare 20 seconds to enjoy your coffee - feel free to visit this place. I like large, hearty mugs and like to spend some time sipping my favourite beverage, so It's unlikely I will visit this place again. Also- not a great choice of products either. But it's a nice, cosy place otherwise, with a charming old-fashioned decor and similar music.

Popped in here to escape rain as I fancied a coffee, very friendly and the coffee was very nice, also had the raspberry flapjack, definitely recommend

I had high hopes for this place, given that they served single estate coffees, and had an Mahlkönig EK43 and a Victoria Arduino Eagle One espresso machine. Unfortunately, the inside of the cafe was in a dire state of disarray, with stock that hadn’t been put away and a mountain of dirty pots which were waiting to be washed. The tables didn’t seem to have been wiped at all and were covered in crumbs, which is pretty shocking given that we’re smack bang in the middle of a pandemic. The barista girl working there could have easily had time to clean all this mess up, given that she didn’t really have that many orders to prepare, but every free moment she had was spent talking to her friend sitting inside the cafe. The girl didn’t seem to have much knowledge about speciality coffee, as when I asked if they were offering any interesting coffees as espresso on that particular day, she chuckled and seemed bemused. The girl took my order and started preparing my espresso before she had asked my girlfriend what she wanted. As a consequence, I had finished my coffee before my girlfriend’s pourover had even been brewed. I could easily ascertain that the quality of the beans themselves was very good, from both mine and my girlfriend’s coffee, but my espresso was extremely underextracted and sour and the serving temperature was relatively low. I assume this was as she failed to preheat the relatively thick and large cup which it was served in, as it had quite a large thermal mass and must have sucked a lot of heat out of the relatively small volume of coffee. My girlfriend’s pourover had some origin character, but I felt as though the brew ratio was somewhat off, and much of the acidity was masked by what I assume is simply unadulterated, hard Hull tap water. When these guys have probably paid a lot of money for an expensive water filtration system, it seems perverse to brew pourovers with water straight from the tap. Like I said, the girl didn’t seem to have much of a clue. Also, the temperature of the brew was cool enough for my girlfriend to drink straight away, which I can only assume is due to the brew temperature being much lower than ideal, as I brew pourovers every morning at home and usually have to wait at least 10 minutes until it reaches that temperature. Most shockingly, the barista girl wasn’t wearing a mask at all, which as of today (Wed 14th Oct) is directly in contravention of UK government guidelines, and the girl didn’t seem very interested in enforcing the rule for any of the mask-shy customers. If the management cleaned the place up, trained the staff, spent a bit of money on the interior decor and utilised a bit of music to give the otherwise soulless cafe a bit of atmosphere, I’m sure it could be a lovely little spot, in which case I’d be quick to return, but otherwise I’d give it a miss. I’m sure you can get a perfectly enjoyable take-out flat white or whatever, and the owners of the business would have been horrified to see what state the girl had left their cafe in, but nevertheless my expectations were not even remotely met.

By far and away the best coffee shop in the area (certainly up there for the UK too). Superb setting, service with a smile and people who love coffee. A venue that attracts both like minded coffeenaughts and those who just want to appreciate the ambiance it provides. Currently they also endeavour to offer two coffees of varying flavour profiles so you can wet your appetite however you're feeling, such attention to detail is hard to find on this front. I cannot recommend this place enough, absolutely spot on.

Quite shocked at the reviews left here. I have visited about 7 or 8 times in the past 6 months and have found it expensive, cold, uncomfortable and the staff quite rude. The coffee is quite nice so maybe to take away it wouldn't be so bad but overall I would choose another place to sit inside and enjoy a coffee.

First visit the other day. Great service. Makes a change having a barrister who makes conversation while they make you a drink rather than leaving you standing awkwardly at the end of the counter. Lovely coffee too. Feels like a cross between a science lab and a trendy coffee shop.

Flat white knocks the competition outta the park- these guys know their stuff- just a bit disappointed with the food offerings- you used to sell amazing cakes and traybakes- what you had on offer was nowhere near as good as previous visits. Love the safe community feel in the arcade

In a world of brain numbingly complex coffee choices. Sometimes by moving past the chains, you ha find a gem. We found a gem. High quality coffee, good service and cosy surroundings. Don’t waste your time on the chains or their so called coffee’s. they maybe called coffee shops, but what they peddle rarely tastes of actual coffee.

... although not the cheapest. You have to pay premium prices for your flat white at Two Gingers, but it’s worth paying a bit extra for the top quality which is unmatched elsewhere in the City based on our research.

Popped in for a coffee and had a fresh baked FlapJack....wi Popped in for a couple of cappuccinos, and ended up having a couple of fresh baked flap Jack with chocolate... Wow...Amazing....great place, great Guy....what more can I say....Brilliant asset to Hull.

Seriously some of best coffee I've had anywhere in the world. The flat white was punchy but velvety smooth with great tasting notes. The pour over was next level! People in Hull are crazy lucky to have these guys here. Hit it up!! Oh. And the nicest guys around too. Spent a good hour talking about coffee, milk, and Hull.

We popped here while out shopping on a rainy afternoon. The coffee beans were freshly ground for our drinks...americano with milk and mocha. Lovely coffee, nicely presented, just needed to be a little hotter. Friendly staff and a nice shop.

It might have been one of their off-days, but the service was minimal and the staff seems unhappy. Our coffee (in mugs with no handles) was hardly warm - so did not need handles anyway! Not inclined to visit again - sorry

Very very fine coffee, packed with flavour. I have slightly off-piste coffee preferences, but they catered admirably. The decaf Americano had a little froth of crema and tasted like the real thing - not an easy thing to find! They even had some oat milk for me. On the downside they had only some slices of a cake to eat.when I went, and I saw cinnamon buns on the menu that were all gone. Otherwise it is presumably devoid of food - I asked if there was anything else to ear but they had not even a crisp. The ginger chap at the counter did not know if there were any dairy ingredients in the cake, and understood I couldn't eat it for allergy reasons, so he very kindly suggested I could look in Marla's sandwich shop across the walkway and bring something back. All in all I'll be going back, but not when I'm hungry. It's a great little place in a lovely old arcade, and let's face it, what you want most from a coffee shop is good coffee!

This superb coffee shop serves the best coffee I have ever tasted. Talented baristas Luke and Aron really know their coffee! Served along with tasty fresh bakes and nibbles in the beautiful surroundings of Paragon Arcade, it really is a top place to hang out and experience coffee at its finest.

I hurried out to this place for a much needed flat white coffee (with a cinnamon bun of course) soon after our arrival in Hull for an overnight stay to see six (of eight) of our grandchildren the next day. It has apparently been refurbished very recently (you could still smell the fresh paint) and so it’s looking very smart.

Two Gingers is a great little place for coffee and cake whilst out shopping. Located in the Paragon Arcade. Warm welcome and efficient service. Small seating area or take away. Great to support a small independent business that is top on quality and customer service.

2 ginggers is a great place for coffee stop and cake whilst out shopping in city centre. Small premises in the paragon arcade but they do offer an eat/drink in facility in addotion to take away. Friedly welcome and efficient service .
