If you want an amazing steak cooked perfect to your liking this is the place to go ( Beverley road). Khrystyna (owner) and Victor (chef) go out of their way to make your visit as pleasant as possible and all Victor's food is cooked fresh to order using the finest produce..I couldn't recommend a place more highly for a relaxing meal and drink

Waited for my car service at HOME. I preferred the pesto and mozzarella toast. I wasn't expecting a double decker / club sandwich, but it was DELICIOUS. First time I've eaten here and I'll definitely be back. Chilled atmosphere and friendly service.

I came back after the management change pushed by the amazing experience I had previously. This place never stops conquering my heart, the food remains incredibly tasty and delicious and the coffees are outstanding. Also, the portions are generous for a great price. The service is impeccable, kind and efficient. Overall, a pleasure to spend a nice Sunday morning with the new team :)

I recently visited the newly opened Cafe Home, and it was an absolute delight! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with cozy seating and beautiful decor that makes you feel right at home ( like the name suggests 😊 )

I was honored to try the sea bass and mussels; it would be a crime not to talk about the food; it’s worth visiting to be transported to Europe.

Strange and terrible place it shouldn't be but it is. I was stared at the whole time I waited for my bacon & tomato buttie maybe they thought I was from the very nearby bail hostel I wasn't. hostile environment even down to me asking where the toilets are and being told "THERE AREN'T ANY USE ASDA" it seems it's permanently closed and honestly, I'm pleased terrible experience

We went for our family Sunday Lunch today to support this restaurant on their last day of opening. We have been long standing customers and have eaten there frequently, introducing many new customers to them. We arrived at 1pm and were told we had the table until 2.30pm. We placed our order as soon as we were asked to but our food did not arrive until 1.55pm leaving us just over 30 mins of the allotted time left. I assumed as it was their fault that the food took so long to arrive this would be factored in to the timescale offered to us. However, when we were asked by the waiting staff if we would like a dessert and we said yes, another member of staff came to inform us that we had run out of time and could not have a dessert and had to leave. We had only just finished our main meal. When we pointed out that it was unfair that the other tables in the sitting (including one group who had actually arrived several minutes after us) had got their food much quicker than us and were able to have dessert and coffee the manager said with a smirk ‘perhaps that’s why we are closing then’ She then went on to reiterate that she wanted the table back now as they were ‘trying to make money’. It is important to note that there was no-one actually waiting for our table. We pointed out that we still had 15 minutes of our allotted time anyway and were told that the dessert wouldn’t be ready in that time so basically it was tough luck. We had not even finished some of the drinks we had purchased with our meal. I am at a loss as to why we were treated so poorly particularly as the manager will know that my daughter has eaten there so often in the past. I cannot state that I will not go to this restaurant again as today is their last day of business but I can say that I am deeply saddened by today’s experience, particularly for my daughter as she has been a staunch supporter of this restaurant and was gutted both for herself and for them to hear that they were having to close. We all now completely regret having given them our custom in the past. What a legacy! Addendum: Despite what the latest reviewer has posted (probably a friend of the owner) my review is not false and having looked at the other negative reviews it seems our experience today was not a one off. Having been given a time limit on the table of an hour and a half, we waited an hour for our food. I don’t think it was an unreasonable expectation that our time at the table would be extended accordingly to allow us to enjoy the meal we were purchasing. I am surprised our behaviour was interpreted as rude by the person responding to my review. Perhaps they would have preferred us to just rush down our £82 meal, keep our mouths shut and be grateful. A restaurant that has ‘ IT’S OUR LAST DAY SO PLEASE TIP GENEROUSLY’ written on a board and then treats its customers with contempt is not an ‘amazing’ restaurant in my books.

Fantastic food & wine at a great price unbelievable with todays norm.

We have visited here a couple times now, Valentine’s Day and Sunday dinner and we have had an awesome meal and experience each time! Catering for all our dietary needs, and even offer vegan Yorkshire puddings for the 2 in our family with allergies. Friendly and attentive staff and banging food! Easily the nicest roast I have ever had. It is delicious and the place has a lovely cosey feel to it. You pre-order when you book a table, and it is only open on certain days. It does a lovely meal though. There are alternatives and extras. I went with the Steak the first time I came here and this is the second time I went, so I tried the vegetarian roast. Absolutely stuffed afterwards. Delicious!

Fabulous small restaurant, with lovely staff and gorgeous food. This is a dog friendly establishment....which is fine, however I was shocked to see a dog owner allowing their dog (large grey hound)to sit on one of the sofa's and then cover it with a blanket!!! Guests have to sit on those sofa's, so really put me off. Disappointed with the dog owner, this is Home, but not your home! This is not the fault of the restaurant and I will be back ....just won't sit on the sofa!

It was the wife's birthday, we have eaten here before and was happy then and was happy again tonight. The food and drink is all quality . No vast menu done poorly , but a small menu done very well . Their is a meat , fish and vegan option. The young lady front of house is friendly helpful and knows her menu. It has a lovely vibe and the music selection fits perfectly in this perfect restaurant . AND even when I ran back in asking for spare food to feed the local fox on Beverley Road , Home helped me out . We are already organising our next visit. Well done all x

It was the wife's birthday , so I wanted somewhere special. Home is special, great quality food , good selection of quality drinks and a lovely chilled vibe . They don't try some vast menu , they concentrate on a small menu done very well . The young lady front of house is helpful , friendly and knows her menu . As we was leaving I met the local fox running across Beverly Road , I ran back in asked if they had any spare food . Not a problem they passed me some food . So even the local fox now loves HOME ASWELL .

FAVOURITE place to visit, wish we had chance to visit more often! Staff attentiveness is always 10000/10, menu changes are always fantastically delicious choices, and cocktails are spot on! We’ve had a private party here, family catch ups, date nights. Always, ALWAYS recommend to absolutely everyone!

A wonderful and memorable meal! Oh boy the menu was great too. It’s so hard to choose. When we eventually did the food was amazing. The restaurant was full as it was mad Friday, but the service and food was 5 star. Thank you ladies you were amazing. We all can’t wait to come back!

Sunday evening We had oysters which were amazing as was the rest of our food. The staff were super sweet and what great value. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I asked if I could sit on the armchairs and she said yes but they were fully booked. Did this mean I would be served or not? I was really confused and then she asked why I was angry and grinding my teeth! I couldn’t believe it. I’m 60 and have a jaw tremor! Both women were now scowling at me and asked me to leave. I’m a regular at this place and they know me. I’m really upset and very angry. Obvs I won’t go back.

Food was nice. However the restaurant was very busy and the waiting staff seemed overwhelmed. We had a fairly long wait to be offered drinks and food order. We ordered desert and it took ~30mins to deliver some ice cream for the kids! Before we were served dessert, we were asked to move to the sofa area because they needed to make our table up for the next booking. This was just plain rude. At no stage did the waiting staff apologise for the delay nor ask us how the food was. My impression was that Home has gone downhill.

Had a large booking and had to change the numbers a few times The staff were kind ,patient and understanding .we had a lovely evening ,the food was lovely the , setting and staff were great .would definately recommend and will be visiting again x

Visited Home restaurant as part of our Dining Group. We were not disappointed. They serve quality food with fresh ingredients, they offered vegetarian / vegan options and I must say I had the best Banoffee pie I’ve had in a while. My choice for the evening was the courgette linguini.. it was perfect. The delicate taste of lemon and capers dressing was gorgeous! My friend had the Sunday roast which she heartily recommended. There is something for everyone with a choice of vegan, fish or meat.. The portion sizes are really generous. There is local art work on the walls which you can purchase along with your wine and food. Definitely a place to visit again for me.. so much more from the menu I want to try out!

Excellent service from very friendly staff, great range of food available for carnivores, herbivores and pescitarians alike. Drinks to suit all, prices very reasonable. All round enjoyable experience.

Good portion sizes, lovely staff

The food was delicious, cannot fault it. However, after waiting an hour for the food we were still expected to leave the table within an hour and a half. Leaving only 30 minutes to eat our main meal. No option for another drink or dessert afterwards. The waitress was apologetic, however this ruined the experience and I wouldn't wish to return unless the system was improved. If you take an hour to serve the meal you cannot expect the table to be clear within an hour and a half. Not acceptable.

Superb little restaurant. Had the breakfast options which are really tasty and value for money. Good coffee. However if you have a big group of friends they may find it harder to accomodate you

My first time visiting this restaurant, I will definitely be back. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the sea bass, the fish was cooked to perfection as was everything else. The service is amazing. Lovely, welcoming, friendly staff, this place is a gem!

A really homely place, you really do understand why it's called Home when you're there! Great cooking. Don't be put off by the small menu, it's a carefully thought out selection where every dish is made proper and with great flavour. Nothing phases the hosts, we were a large family group asking a lot of questions and ordering a lot of varied drinks. Every drink was presented quickly and to the right person even though we ordered individually and randomly. There's interesting cook books, trivia games, art and vinyl for after dinner consideration when you're enjoying the EXCELLENT Bloody Mary, Margerita or other cocktails on offer... Draft beer also thumbs up. Thinking it's in an odd location? It is. But you've got some great walkable pubs nearby, Newland Avenue is round the corner and we went on to Vox Box karaoke bar (thanks to the aperol spritz) ... Which is at the other end of the street, 10 mins walk max. Thanks Home for a great evening! 👏

We went to Home following a recommendation. Probably had one of our best ever brunches! Great service , great decor , great atmosphere, and very well cooked food . Easy to assemble a personalised brunch, always a win. We had scrambled egg and salmon, steak sandwich , And steak and fried eggs . Fab orange juice . Highly recommend

We were so excited about trying this restaurant for Sunday lunch as recommended by friends. From the start we got a bad vibe ... I booked days ago..yet we were kept waiting as the waitress checked my name twice as we stood by the door. Asked for the drinks menu was told to read the chalk board at the back in the wall. All menus on chalk boards on the wall whether drinks or food . Friends said try the bloody Mary but wasn't on board or cocktails We were not offered water like everyone else Asked the waitress about the Gins she named 4 and said I forgot the others...ordered the Sevilla gin and was given ordinary gin. Really long wait before getting served for drinks then food then dessert then the bill. Service was poor . The food was presented beautifully and was delicious. Cannot fault the food. Sadly the experience was not we expected so giving it a 3 ⭐ for the food as service let it down big style and we left disappointed and sadly will not be returning ... A big NO !

Super delicious curry. Very friendly and fast service as we had only 40 minutes before catching our ferry. Much better food and better value than dinner on the ferry! Looking forward to coming back for breakfast sometime.

Absolutely my favourite place in Hull by far. A true neighbourhood place with great food for every part of the day. Must have been dozens of times and it has delivered every single time.

Had the king prawn thermodor for starters and the ribeye for main. Both was delicious and cooked perfectly. Definitely will be returning because the Sunday lunches looked amazing. Very friendly and cozy atmosphere.

Cool setting, great music, lovely staff and excellent food. Whether brunch, lunch, dinner or Sunday roast. Very veggie friendly, great fish - oysters always available, brilliant bloody marys too. One of my favourite places anywhere. Definitely recommended. Basically weekends only - wish they were also open earlier in the week.

Visited for the first time after friends' recommendation. What a wonderful recommendation it was. We had a table at 1pm on a Sunday and could choose from the main menu. A good number of starters and 2 meat, 2 fish and 2 vegan main dishes....

Visited here on Sunday, food,atmosphere and service was excellent. The cafe is nice and warm as it has a wood burning fire. Highly recommend

This is a great place with a regularly changing menu that uses the best of local, seasonal produce. A great place to stop for a light bite or a full meal. Great selection of drinks and excellent service. Can't fault it.

It was a little on the pricey side, having said that, the food is freshly prepared by two lady chefs, good presentation and flavoured beautifully. No faults all great, i had the jerk chicken, loved the spiciness and fresh coriander lovely chips too... The desert sticky toffee pud with ice ream, really good however some was a little burnt on top... Cara needs to be taken not to burn it.. cheers lovely staff .. if i lived in Hull would definitely visit more times.

The food was absolutely amazing, such friendly staff. It's a chilled out vibe not a fancy restaurant...so depends on what vibe you want out of an evening. I'd definitely return for the food though 10/10.

Really enjoyed the rib eye, served with amazing triple cooked chips. One of the best I have had for a long time. Small quirky restaurant, lovely atmosphere, even had a game of connect four with a bottle of red. Highly recommend.

The food at HOME is incredible! We often visit here and every time they go above and beyond to cater for my needs due to Allergies, which is very rare to find. The atmosphere is warm, cosy and HOMELY! We can always count on having a fantastic meal with great cocktails. Would highly recommend.
