Twelve in Bristol, City of

Visit to Bristol can’t be complete without a visit to Twelve :) THE best flat white going. Alongside some of the fantastic home baking…had to be Bakewell Slice. But also a boxful of cakes to takeaway to share, including Orange & Pecan cake !

A visit back to Bristol isn’t complete without a visit to Twelve ! Short walk from the suspension bridge you find amazing coffee and cake. Flat white and Bakewell slice is my favourite combo…get a slice to warm up for home with ice cream too ! All served with a smile, and if you’re lucky meet the cafe ‘pup’ too

Tastefully decorated coffee shop ( indoor/ outdoor sitting) with amazing coffee and cakes. Lovely coffee and the nicest bakewell tart I’ve ever tasted. Plenty of choices for sitting in or out and very well ventilated even indoors ( visited in July). The lady serving mentioned she bakes herself with her mum’s help, which always sounds like a winning formula to me …. Well done ladies

Vaya, qué joya de descubrimiento ha sido este café; ¡sorprendentemente pueden surgir cosas buenas a partir de 2020! El café es excelente, no puede superar su Flat white. Pero las tartas caseras son otra cosa. . . en cada visita me sigo sorprendiendo de lo buenos que son! ! Tienen una variedad cambiante de bizcochos blandos y esponjosos, como café, zanahoria y limón, pero también tentadoras bandejas y pasteles. El café se encuentra en el "pueblo" de Clifton; un pequeño café estupendo para disfrutar de un café relajado y un pastel después de explorar Clifton o la cercana Ashton Court. Hay varias mesas arriba / abajo en el interior y también mesas en el frente para esas mañanas soleadas. Por último, pero no menos importante, no hay que olvidar el cálido y amable servicio. . . Si no fuera por la necesidad actual de cubrirse el rostro, ¡no tengo ninguna duda de que sería recibido con una gran sonrisa cada vez! Una visita obligada en Bristol, que sin duda se convertirá en tu lugar favorito.

¡Café delicioso! Nos detuvimos a tomar un café para llevar que era encantador. ¡Los pasteles también eran tentadores! Definitivamente volveré a parar allí pronto

A lovely, friendly calm environment to meet with friends for coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. I particularly love the eggs benedict and homemade cakes which are always served to an excellent standard. Congratulations to Jenny and her staff for bringing an independent, eatery to the heart of Clifton yet away from the hustle and bustle. Look forward to our next visit!!

Every time I’m in Bristol for work I visit this lovely little cafe! Jen and the team are super welcoming and their brunch and coffee is amazing!

We have been here a few times. The food is well cooked and well presented by happy staff. Definitely worth checking out. WiFi is good too so great for nomad working!

Twelve has the most amazing cakes, lunch and breakfast, their coffee is the only one I will drink. It is a wonderful place to sit,eat, read the paper. The staff are so friendly and greet you as soon as you walk in the door. I can only say that if you haven’t visited yet then you are missing out on something special

We have visited this cafe/restaurant a few times as we live locally and want to support it however unfortunately more than once have been disappointed by the speed of service. We took my sister there yesterday who was visiting Bristol for some lunch. The staff there are friendly, on waiting to order I heard one member of staff tell a customer 2 before me there was a 30 min wait for food - she didn't reiterate this to me however. We then waited over 45 mins for our food which we had only ordered avocado on toast and a poached egg and my partner had the full breakfast (the beans arrived cold). We did mention the wait to the waitress but she just commented that they were busy and everything comes out in the order it was ordered (however it was late sat lunchtime and there were empty tables by this point). On previous visit the waits have been long and we have been served a jacket potato with only very small amounts of each topping even though these extra toppings had actually doubled the price of the meal. On this occasion we were told the chef was new and did get an apology and told it would improve. Otherwise the food is ok in quality but seems to take a very long time when it is quite simple dishes. A suggestion would be for busier times for an extra staff member in the kitchen so that multiple dishes can be prepared simultaneously. We would like to continue supporting Twelve but each time we come we are less inclined to.

Found this delightful place by chance this morning. On our walk into Clifton village, we decided to follow the signs to Twelve. Whilst currently hidden by some scaffolding, do not walk past!! There is a warm welcome and the coffee was very enjoyable. Menu looked exciting so next time will make sure that we are there for lunch. Certainly an extensive choice. Will most definitely be back

This place should be way more popular than its neighbours around the corner. It's a light, happy and energetic place. Great for breakfast, lunch or just passing some time with the computer!

We only had coffee on this visit but the staff were very friendly and the coffee and ambience were excellent, as usual. It is worth going very slightly off the beaten track to find this unique coffee shop instead of going to big standard national name.

It is definitely worth while to take a few more steps from the Clifton Arcade (by the way - an overrated attraction) to Twelve's. It is a very cosy café with tasty food. If it is warm enough, you can sit outside in the backyard and relax. As it is not directly by the Arcade, it is less busy than the other restaurants. There is also free wifi available.
