One of the best restaurants in Ormskirk....food spot on.

Would have given 5 stars for everything food was fabulous but very smokey inside would go again but only if I was going straight home after could really smell food on us when we left

The Food was very nice and tasty and the restaurant would have got a 5* but only got 2* because there was a 12% service charge added to the total of the bill. I already cancelled another group visit because of this charge and I won't be coming back. Customers should be able to choose to tip and not be forced to pay.

Paid £70 deposit when booking which wasn’t deducted from the bill until I requested it. Then because only 5 of the original 7 booked for were present they only refunded deposit for 5 people, so £50 instead of £70 despite fact we all had starters, mains & 4 desserts Terrible attitude & had to make my taxi wait 25 minutes while it was sorted. Usually have our work night out there at least once a year but will never go back again.

Lovely place. The food tastes amazing, all fresh; the staff very friendly. Overall a place I would come to again in the future. Thank you.

Consistently wonderful tasty food, been many times and would highly recommend.

We came for a meal this evening, the service was brilliant. My young daughter is coeliac and the staff where very accommodating and very helpful. The food was outstanding.

The staff are helpful, friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. The food is well presented and of course it's personal preference but I find it delicious.

Go too place in Ormskirk. We've been going for years and never had a bad meal or experience. It is also useful for a takeaway, but still prefer to dine in. Food is always delicious, hot, tender cooked to perfection, and a good wine choice

Went on a Saturday night. Table not ready for when we booked. Let us have a drink at tye bar next to two tables having food. Service very slow. Very loud atmosphere. Food was good.

Absolutely authentic, delicious Turkish food. The chicken and lamb shishes are sublime. You should also try the ciğer tava starter: cubes of fried floured liver in a pomegranate sauce with sumac (I think) and finely sliced parsley and red onion. I'm not a huge fan of liver, but I could have had two of them.

Great food but waiting on staff(not all) didnt look like they wanted to be there(fair enuf for a sat night haha)..apart from that...Briĺliant 👍

Food was lovely , we had wings and the cold platter for 2 as starters . No sooner had we finished our starters we had staff buzzing around clearing our players , we were asked if we wanted our Mains straight away but as we had just finished our starters we asked for a small break in between . A manager ( I assume) then came over and said a break between course has to be arranged at the point of ordering ( no mention of this either on the menu or when staff took the order ) and as such we can either have our mains straight away or we could have them held back which in his opinion would spoil the quality of the dishes. We opted to have them sent straight away and the quality was second to none ( we had Salmon , Sea bass and Lamb shank ) , staff were attentive and food was lovely but to be rushed through courses on a quiet point of the evening ( it was when England kicked off ) is unacceptable. Turquasz was a recommendation and food wise I could find no fault but the logistics of getting the food out needs working on

Can’t deny the flavours in this place. Food is fresh and fragrant. Been here 4/5 times and still haven’t been disappointed. The food is consistently heavy.

The food was absolutely delicious, the portion size was reasonable for the price and left me wanting more. Had the Lamb Skewer and was nervous at first as Lamb can be quite chewy from some places but was cooked to absolute perfection. Halloumi fries and the accompanying sauce were delicious too, first time eating here and will 100% be back.

The service and food are really good . The portions are a good size and may even be too much for some.

The food hear is excellent, very juicy kebabe meats cooked on a grill were lovly and to die for. This traditional turkish layed out restraunt adds to the buzzing friendly atmosphere ..definitely going g again...soon....

Amazing as always. Never had a bad meal here and the Efes always washes it down well. The Turquaz special is a must! It’s the only thing we’ve ever had as I don’t see the point going for a half measure when you get everything for about £20.

First time we have been, daughter recommended it for my birthday and it was fabulous 👌 would highly recommend to anyone, nice little touch off them at the end for my birthday very appreciated 🥰

Food was excellent. We tried the sharing platter starter, chicken biftek, and lamb skewers, and all were delicious! Although, the lamb just had the edge! The restaurant itself is very lovely inside, with a big open grill, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!

Ate here early on a Saturday and glad we booked as it was very busy. Food was excellent and served efficiently with a smile. Only criticism was that the draught beer was a bit meh. Would recommend.

Had an awesome time at this place yesterday! The vibes were cozy, and the food was off the charts. Started with a cold mezze platter – hummus, babagoush, vineleaves, and other on point. Then one of the best kebabs I ve eaten in North West, juicy and full of flavor. Staff was super chill and helpful. Fair prices for the whole experience. Totally recommend if you're into legit Turkish eats in a cool atmosphere!

We decided to try a Turquaz takeaway to celebrate a midweek anniversary as neither of us could be bothered getting ready and going for a meal after we’d been to work and played sport - we were NOT disappointed! It is absolutely as wonderful at home as it is in the restaurant. Best ‘takeaway’ by far!

I didn't buy food. Strictly a pub as far as I could tell. Real ale selection. Not full of hipsters so five stats from me.

Food was so gorgeous and Burak snd staff were so nice and friendly and looked after us all night, we will definitely be booking again all the family enjoyed it.

It was the best dinner I have ever had in my life, the garlic mushroom from the starters was delicous and I loved the lamb chops despite the intensity, the manager burak was very funny, the grill chef recep smiles a lot, I don't want to hesitate to say that he is positive, thank you for everything turquaz family 🫶🏻❤️

Food was really nice. Although it was quite salty. Not much choice for vegetarians, but what do you expect for a barbecue restaurant

I absolutely love this place, stunning decor, the friendliest most attentive staff but that food is just WOW. The chicken is the best I’ve ever had in my entire life, and at 50 that’s no mean feat. Best Turkish restaurant in Merseyside in my opinion.

Lambs kidney for the starter was out of this world

Excellent food fresh tasty nice spices and texture, love herb fresh bread acondiment and chill sauce very fresh. Great survice and Turkish music in background is a nice touch. I definitely will return again.

Brilliant food. Value for money. Big portions, so additional sides not required. Ended up taking mine home. Mix up on booking 2nd time. Very busy place. Sometimes several staff ask u if u want a drink, but the food makes up for it. Friend is GF and struggled a bit with choices

It's quite loud, and the staff didn't acknowledge my request for some cutlery. But the food is fantastic. The stuffed vines and mixed skewers were so tasty 😋

Unbelievable food once again. Won't go wrong with the turquaz special. Lambs liver starter and the garlic prawns were incredible.

This restaurant is a Jewel in Ormskirk. The service was exceptional, the food couldn't have been better. Perfection always. Highly recommended.

The special grill is well worth a punt and the veggie option stew very tasty.

Fantastic, the food here is stunning, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It has a lovely atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. Fantastic place keep up the great service and quality of food.

I haven't had a chance to come back since 2019 although I loved it, finally came again and it's as good as I remember. The only thing I dislike is that the rice portion is very little compared to the amount of meat on your plate. Otherwise fantastic, very tasty!

The food is lovely. We ordered a cold sharing platter and, whilst it certainly came out of the fridge preprepared, it was certainly very, very lovely. The mains were great but the drink menu is a little limited. Nice wine and beer isn't hard to source these days. But overall fabulous food.

Every mouthful was a fresh joy.. loved it. Real people serving, real food.

Wow what can I say !! Absolutely amazing place we have been on a quest to find somewhere that was equally as good as our previous place in Lytham, this has far surpassed that !! Food was truly delicious glad we found it

Visited as a party of seven; which included the grandparents.My parents are fussy when it comes to eating anywhere and usually stick to the same restaurant all the time, but as this was our treat, they were open to try something new.I love Turquaz, have always had a great meal each time we’ve visited and I ordered numerous takeouts during lockdown, all excellent.My stepdad is coeliac and it can sometimes be a worry for him to eat food that is unfamiliar - hence sticking to places he feels comfortable, but the staff put his mind at rest and were very attentive at discussing menu options for him & providing gluten free bread etc.The food did not disappoint, we all had a fantastic meal. The prawn starter is divine and for mains we had, Salmon, lamb shank, chicken wings, lamb kebab and lamb ribs (as well as a kids meal) - all food was devoured, even the rice and salad is superbMy parents have now found a new favourite restaurant to add to the only other place they regularly eat at - so that is indeed high praise.Already looking forward to the next meal, which I know won’t be too far away!

We definitely won't be going back to this place, after booking a table a week in advance we were put right by the bar and kitchen, too hot and noisy, we asked to be re seated and were put in the corridor by the door, excess cutlery from our table was put back in the drawer without being washed...

This was a properly unexpected treat. On my first visit to ormskirk, I found myself in need of somewhere to take my family. We’re a mixed bunch, often quite picky, and this was also the first time I’d had Turkish food. The atmosphere - quite on theme - reasonably normal restaurant affair, sitting at tables, toilet facilities are adequate- music was a bit loud The service- excellent, knowledgeable staff, very friendly - timely service of meals - not push The food - sea bass: cooked really well, well spiced- chicken: lovely, spiced very well and can taste the charcoal- salmon: a good portion size, well spiced - prawn Guvec; reasonable- fries: excellent, well fried and spiced with a flavoured salt - rice: the star of the show, perfumed and lightly spiced with cinnamon

First time here and was unsure what to expect. Went for the calamari and the special kebab. Food was fantastic, especially the lamb chops. Service was good if a little rushed. Plenty of space around to relax. Will visit again.
