This restaurant is a must especially if you love fresh French cuisine ! Locally sourced we had snails, mussels ,steak tartare with a bottle of wine . The food was absolutely outstanding ! The lady of the house was very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The restaurant brought back happy memories of when I would eat out in France at a local restaurant. A beautiful dinning area ❤️. After our meal we sat outside and had a glass of wine to finish off an outstanding evening. Soft lights and a blanket if you are feeling chilly . You read reviews of service a little slow ! This is a place where you relax and enjoy amazing food not just in and thrown out for the next customer. Great find. Stopped for Sunday afternoon dinner and sat outside in the garden, so lucky. We had the duck breast with rhubarb, oh my it was delicious. The bottle of red from St Emilion was also excellent. Will definitely be back.

The Bistrot Bardot is a hidden gem in Wapping, nicely decorated and with a lovely atmosphere. The service and quality of food should be improved though. I arrived, sat at our table and waited for service for quite a while. The onion soup was good but the other dishes were average and didn't tally up with the price they charge for. I would come and have a drink, especially in summer when the the garden is open, but give the food a miss.

So so cold inside even when wrapped in blanket and overcoat. Service very slow and food tasty but lukewarm.

The service was first rate and the food was very good. The music was a bit loud and the song choice was a bit strange but we asked our excellent waiter Sue if could be turned down and the night improved immediately. We had a great night out and would return. The old pub setting is cosy and quirky as well.

Was to be the highlight of our London trip. Such a quirky and atmospheric venue, I loved it! Looking forward to seeing the evening’s menu as the online sample menu was very French but sadly didn’t live up to expectations. We were the only customers for our early evening booking. I understand that a small menu can provide a better quality dish and having the restaurant to ourselves could also have been a positive experience but sadly that wasn’t the case. The wine list was expensive wine but our selection was delicious. First course was limited, didn’t reflect the sample menu and our first choice was not available. Reluctantly chose steak for a main dish as there was little else to chose from; it was cooked to my liking and huge but sadly too tough to eat. Accompaniments and sides were sad and we left without dessert because a take away ice cream was more appealing.

A fab, secret location, in London. We had a team breakfast there this morning. The food was very tasty, the staff were friendly and the setting was wonderful.

I was taken here by my family for a fairly big birthday a couple of weeks ago and have to say, yet again, it was exceptional. The food was great and the service outstanding. It is a bit of a haul for us to get there (we live outside London but the children don't!) and if it was closer I would definitely become a regular..

Had been meaning to come to the Turks Head for a while as it looks so nice. Arrived, sat at our table and waited for service for quite a while. Finally got a drink then waited longer for someone to take our order. After around half an hour we decided to leave. Shame as it seemed like a good spot.

Four of us had a fantastic Sunday lunch at The Turk’s Head. The food, wine and service were all fabulous and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. I note the fact that someone else has highlighted the problem with the booking system. We had the same experience, being able to book online for an indoor table that morning when in reality all tables inside were already taken. Luckily with a lot of shuffling around of tables and some other diners, a table was found for us. I’d really recommend the restaurant but they do need to get the booking system sorted to avoid disappointing people. In the meantime I think it’s worth booking on the phone!

It's very hard to review this restaurant as although we had a confirmed booking for dinner indoors they told us we would have to be outside on the terrace. I showed the maitre d' the booking confirmation but she just shook her head and insisted that there was not a table for us inside, even though we could see tables free inside. I showed her the booking confirmation I had on my phone but she said it must be a systems error. There was no apology and she only tired to save the situation after she had spoken to someone on the phone (the owner, manager?) where she still insisted there was a table outside for us. Obviously I cannot review the food, but if it is anything like their service I shudder to think what that might be like.

When we arrived at the restaurant we asked if we could sit inside, although there was plenty of space this seems like an inconvenience to them and it took far too long to be seated. There were 4 beer options on the menu, however this reduced to 1 when we came to order. Our party ordered a croque monsieur amongst other things for starter, only to be told five minutes later there was no croque monsieur as they didn't have the ingredients - there did not appear to be much in the way of communication between the waiting staff and the kitchen as this was not the only thing they didn't have. The customer service from the waitress was severely lacking and following the starters plates were not all cleared before the next course came, however during this course plates were taken whilst people on the table were still eating. Unbelievably I also had two unfinished bottles of beers taken off me, very bizarre. To cap it all off there was a issue with the bill where we had been charged for more than we had, and when this was brought up with the waitress she challenged us in an accusation manner before challenging us that we had not paid enough on the bill which had to be explained to her. I would say that the chicken main course was lovely and the food was generally good but the attitude of the staff and general feel of the place was lacking.

An Interesting menu. An ambient environment. My meal however fell short of the menu description. I would come and have a drink in the garden again, but give the food a miss.

We dined at this little eatery tonight it’s such a niche little gem nestled in wapping park could be anywhere so funky THO !! Service and food don’t tally up with the high price they charge for average food . Shame there is a lack of management. So won’t return

We had breakfast here this morning and it was absolutely excellent. Great coffee and a top full English breakfast. Most notable, however, was the service, which was absolutely outstanding. A team who obviously valued their customers. We’ll definitely be back.

had an amazing dinner there, went a few years back & it was a bit disorganised, more like a greasy spoon pub but now its cool and very stylish. I love the new interiors and the menu was great. The burger with blue cheese & parmesan fries was great, as was the steak & dauphinois. decent wine list and not too pricey by London standards. My only criticism is with the budgies in a (very stylish) bamboo cage: 1. I dont agree with caging birds, ever.period. 2. I don't think live animals should be used as entertainment /ornamentation to make money from (however indirectly) 3. they are flipping irritating as hell - think chatting with your dining partner, hearing other diners, with music playing in the background all with the frequent high pitched screeching of 2 stressed out birds.

The Turk’s Head is my new favourite hangout. I can relax or have a drink with my friends and I often work from there because they make the best coffee and the food is delicious! You can taste its all home made and the quality never falls short.

I had a leaving party at the Turk's head on a Friday night and was overwhelmed by the beautiful set up in the cafe and also the great hospitality provided by the team. From the moment I enquired about wanting to host my leaving dinner at the Turk's Head, Lee and JJ were without a doubt the friendliest people. They were incredibly accommodating for us. Not only did they open the place for us for the evening, but they were also very flexible around the menu, set up and food order requests. The venue felt very special indeed - with a cosy vibe, yummy cocktails and overall great food! My friends loved it there, and couldn't have asked for a better place for a send off!A big thank you to the team at the Turks Head for welcoming us!

Mi experiencia en The Turks Head siempre es un placer. El personal es muy amable y el servicio está fuera de este mundo. La comida es, como siempre, puntual y se le sirve rápidamente. Tengo que mencionar la salsa de manzana casera que acompaña al cerdo asado ridículamente excelente. Homemade bramley apple sauce is a stand out with the pork loin. Kids also enthusiastic about eating here (can't get over how good the home made mice pies are!). Lovely atmosphere for a relaxed Sunday. Our favourite local.

I have lived in Wapping for a while and this place just adds so much to the area, the breakfasts are amazing, the Sunday roast is so spot on. I recommend whenever I can!

Este es nuestro café local, Wapping está un poco hambriento de algo que no sea italiano (hay 6 restaurantes italianos), así que esta es una gran opción. La nueva administración lo hizo mucho más acogedor e introdujo algunos elementos más nuevos en el menú, no lo he probado, pero ahora sirve asados un domingo que mis vecinos dijeron que es encantador. Los desayunos son súper sabrosos y son amigables para los niños, especialmente el nuevo gerente. Definitivamente lo recomiendo ahora!

I have been coming here for ages and buggies and families have never been a problem (it’s situated next to a park and playground- they have a children’s menu) Since the change in management we have been made to feel a total inconvenience when arriving with a buggy or have been rudely turned away. It’s is such a shame as it was such a nice place to go. I don’t think it’s really to do with a lack of space but rather that the new manager (Irish guy) just doesn’t seem to want buggies in the cafe at all.

Had a great break here while waiting for our Airbnb. Great lattes and breakfast! Will definitely be back.

Well where can i start we made booking for my dad's birthday 4 adults 2 kids food was phenomenal service was outstanding staff where so friendly and entertained the kids during our whole visit and the manager went the extra mile even treated us to selection of wonderful apple pie and a beautiful cheese cake would highly recommend and cannot wait to return definitely advice to booking as it was busy all through lunch but again fantastic place amd cannot wait to return!!!!

I’m sure it’s lovely, and it’s my new local so I would’ve visited often. However, I walked in with a pram and was made to feel like I’d walked in with something disgusting. Not only did they allow me to struggle through the door with no help, but they then TURFED me out and said ‘only one pram is allowed in at one time’. Never have I ever been made to feel like my baby is an inconvenience, never have I felt so singled out as everyone turned to stare at me. Being a new mum it was the last thing I needed to hear. Horrid horrid place. I will now never visit.

We had an excellent Sunday lunch ..roast beef and all the trimmings , the vegetables particularly delicious and plenty.. We chose three puddings and although all delicious the highlight was the apple pie and whipped cream . Staff were all charming and welcoming .

Si bien es muy fácil escribir una buena revisión en cualquier día habitual en cualquier bar / restaurante, es más difícil, y una prueba para el personal, escribir una buena revisión en un día lleno de problemas de servicio. El sábado tenían problemas técnicos y habían perdido un montón de pedidos y, al mismo tiempo, carecían de personal, en cualquier otro día, esto habría resultado en una revisión de una estrella (en un momento en que era mi intención), pero la forma en que trabajaban juntos superar el problema y hacer de la comida una experiencia agradable hace de este un merecido comentario de cinco estrellas. La comida que pedimos fue fantástica, aunque tardó un poco en llegar (a veces sucede). El personal fue muy amable y plenamente consciente del impacto que la situación estaba teniendo en sus clientes e hizo todo lo posible para asegurarse de que estaban rectificando la situación. A través de todos sus problemas, todavía se aseguraron de que el gluten y las alergias a los lácteos de mi pareja (sí, salir a cenar con ella es un proceso difícil para todos los involucrados) se resolviera por completo. Tengo pensado volver porque si consiguen cinco estrellas en un mal día, no puedo imaginar lo bueno que sería un buen día.

Having last reviewed an excellent brunch here, with my daughter, I risked taking my wife for coffee and cake! Twice! And she loved it.

Great Veggy Breakfast - halloumi, mushrooms, avocado, beans, eggs, potato hash brown - just delicious. Cappuccino was in a great big hot cup with lashings of chocolate powder - fantastic. Hubby enjoyed his Full English big portions and power smoothie.

There were lots of staff, the Monmouth coffee was excellent, the full English was well cooked, the sausages in particular were tasty.

Food & coffee is reasonable but the staff seem they are doing you a favour! Terrible service, overpriced and honestly not worth it!

We literally love this pub perfectly located at a corner near the park and able to embody the spirit of the community (as it was the intent when the building was rescued), but the service was barely acceptable and the food not as good as in the past experiences we had, with burned up croquetas and a small plate of fettuccine with an unusual pesto. The veggie burrito were bland and not so inspiring. We have seen better and we know we will come back to improvements

I usually get my coffee here (Monmouth) at weekends but we stayed for brunch and was so pleased I did. There is a nice courtyard at the rear under trees adjacent to a playground and park which is a perfect spot in nice weather. My son devoured the pancakes with Nutella, maple syrup and cream, whilst we had the open breakfast burrito and the veggie breakfast. Including the coffee in the price of the veggie breakfast is a nice touch; the portions are very generous.

Went here with friends on a nice sunny day and sat outside in the small garden and had coffee - it is just lovely. The food on offer looked good and I would like to go back here to experience it more fully.

Me recogió un periódico gratuito para leer y hojear las migajas de la mesa. Cuando abrí el periódico y comenzó a leer, encontré que fue el papel del día anterior.

Sono stato in questo locale con degli amici nella mia breve vacanza a Londra, ci siamo trovati molto bene, abbiamo assaggiato un pò di cose e le torte in particolare sono veramente squisite! (Consiglio la Red Velvet). Nota di merito a Valerio ed Harry, veramente cordiali e simpatici! Ci ritornerò alla mia prossima visita a Londra!

8 descendiente en la cabeza. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida, a pesar de una considerable parte, en este ex-pub. El servicio era excelente y el desayuno. Entre nosotros probamos la mayoría del menú delicias; se necesita una gran apetito para comer dos de los huevos y bacon panecillos, por no mencionar la torre de panqueques, uno de los miembros del grupo incluso tenía la resaca de desayuno (y no se podía comer de todo! ! ! ). Todos preparó con un montón de buen café - la factura era de alrededor de 60 libras para todos 9. Esta fue nuestra segunda visita, y volveremos. Realmente merece la pena probar si están en las inmediaciones. Nota hay un bonito parque infantil para los niños de todas las edades! ) justo al lado y accesible directamente desde el jardín.

Paramos aquí un domingo por la mañana durante un paseo en Wapping. El ambiente parecía agradable con zona de estar al aire libre. El servicio era amable y rápido. La comida era el desayuno estándar que es difícil equivocarse con! Agradable parada cuando en la zona.

Un largo día por delante de nosotros y la lluvia caer elegimos la cabeza turcas como nuestro propiciando la parada. Y lo contentos que estamos. Ambiente encantador, amable, correcta con el menú de desayuno inglés extraño toque venezolano (desayuno burrito la próxima vez). Mi desayuno magdalenas eran sabrosos, huevos benedictinos de mi esposa puso una gran sonrisa en su rostro y mi hijo mayor hicieron un intento valiente en el inglés. Volveremos para cenar otro día.

En un soleado domingo después de un sábado noche esta fue una alegría. Estar fuera disfrutamos de nuestro abundante desayuno cocinado, batidos y café. Servicio tomó su tiempo, ya que estaba ocupado, pero estuvo bien para nosotros. Mucho espacio para los niños pequeños. El servicio era amable y eficiente, a pesar de lo ocupados que estaban. Las tartas también tenía muy buena pinta, pero no tuvimos la habitación después del gran desayuno.

Mi compañero y yo éramos las únicas personas en el lugar en una mañana soleada de los días laborales. El Expresso era amargo y bastante horrible. Tuve el vegetariano desayuno y mi pareja salmón ahumado y huevos revueltos, ya que había leído que lo hicieron muy bien. En realidad, ellos no! Un poco de salmón frío establecido en la cima de huevos revueltos. estuvo bien, pero no es genial! Mi desayuno vegetariano, aguacate, Queso anuncian incluyendo halloumi y croquetas de patata. Por 8 libras. 50 me esperaba aguacate fresco, fresco y un hash casero Halloumi marrón. Llegué, y un guacamole picante de patata congelados marrón y barato el mismo para el halloumi frito que es. Las setas no eran agradables. Éramos las únicas personas allí todo el tiempo. Que fácilmente podría haber producido algo impresionante. Rebanadas de aguacate fresco, UN PAR DE PIEZAS DE recién asada A LA PARRILLA Y PATATA HALLOUMI todo tan fácil! 20 libras por dos espantosos desayunos. No gracias. . . Y conseguir un poco de café decente!

I do live in the neighbourhood and have been a regular here. I particularly like their outdoors/garden area, which I frequently use in the afternoons for a light (delicious) meal and carrying on with some work over a cup of coffee. The environment is very informal, peaceful and cosy. A local gem!

Went to Turks Head and was very disappointed. Ordered Eggs Benedict, Pancake Stack & 2 soft drinks. Waited 30 minutes and charged over £20. The eggs were undercooked & slimmy, the pancakes dry and served with canned cream. Won't be going back.

This is definitely the place for locals and children are welcome and it is close to a playground. Not pretentious, can relax and just enjoy each other's company. Tad expensive but reflects the area. When a lot of the places in wapping are touristy it's nice to have a place like this.

A lovely listed old public house that is situated next to a pleasant park and playground. When we visited this cafe there were six large buggies in what is quite a small space, with children everywhere. The interior design is incohesive and rather bare. The word Wapping in neon (with copious wiring) takes up most of one white wall and the reason for its presence is unclear as the light is garish, the sign ugly, and all the patrons are local so one assumes that they know where they are. The food is alright but the coffee is weak as it is served in huge cups. During our visit four customers sat in a row on laptops. The loud noise masquerading as music and the din from the children makes conversation difficult. It is also unduly cramped as too much space is given over to the preparation of food.

Lovely place with great staff and top notch breakfast & coffee! Family friendly with a pleasant garden to sit in enjoy a relaxing morning in Wapping.

I like the food (hamburger and "hangover" are great) . The new beers are so recommended. The stuff is nice and polite. Outside there's a cozy garden to drink a tea or a coffee.

Рядом с пабом есть небольшой парк, и в хорошую погоду можно присесть за столик прямо под кронами деревьев. Место очень старое и очень английское. Туристы там бывают, но основная часть посетителей - это местные жители, которые сюда ходят и поесть и пообщаться. Еда здесь вполне приличная, типичная для английского паба. Атмосфера очень дружелюбная и расслабляющая. Цены обычные для Лондона, обслуживание вполне достойное.

About as good as anyone could reasonably expect a lazy Sunday breakfast with the papers could be. Lovely coffee and great food. My sons pancakes were particularly great.

Great friendly local restaurant that can't do enough for you. Love breakfast there with lots of choice and friendly staff.

Went here on Sunday morning with my girlfriend, we both chose to try the chorizo, cheese, egg,salsa,guacamole and sour cream open breakfast wrap and it was delicious!! I ate literally all of it! There was plenty of it as well as we were not hungry until 8pm that evening so had kept us fed from 11am. the staff are great also just a shame there isn't more seating but that cant be helped. Love it!1 we will be back very soon!

Now in its second iteration since opening as a caff several years ago, the space has been updated and the outside has had a number of tables added in an improved space.Definitely a place for breakfast, esp on a casual Saturday but also good for a lunch and lighter fare, too

I have to admit to being a regular customer at the Turks Head Cafe but that's for a good reason, it's outstanding. It's busy all day but not too busy so there is always space to enjoy a coffee, a snack or a proper meal. Or a beer as the Turks Head Cafe serves alcohol too. I enjoy a full English breakfast usually but sometimes switch to the burrito breakfast for a change. Both are very good value for money, just depends on what you like. There are daily specials cooked by the resident Italian chefs, I love the pasta especially Pasta Alla Carbonara. Yum! Sometimes I just like a simple snack so tend to go for the jacket potato with a choice of three toppings for a bargain £3.50. Vegetarians are well catered for as well and cake lovers, try the lemon drizzle cake. Or the red velvet cake. Or... well you get the idea. The Turks Head Cafe is very child friendly as it is a family oriented place so bring the kids. The garden is a real oasis, there is no way you would think you are in East London sitting out there in the sunshine.

We ordered omelettes for breakfast this morning with tomatoes, chase and ham; unfortunately, it did not look like an omelette, but more like a fried egg that was mixed on the pan. they looked very greasy and to be honest the tasted very greasy as well. all 4 of us are not feeling very well. called to complaint, but got a very blunt answer that nobody else was complaining and that is how they make their omelettes.WE had a bad experience in the past, but I though it just happened, but unfortunately it is a continues issue.As we work nearby, sometimes we pop in for a glass of wine or lunch; wine glasses are always dirty; last time 2 out of 4 glasses were with remains of lipstick of another customer; that day, we ordered some food and it was brought by a chef to a table. However, he was holding a kitchen towel and to be honest it was so dirty, I lost my appetite. I truly believe their have issues with hygiene, food quality and service and will be reporting them to Food Standards Agency.

Only been the once but looks like it was suffering from the own success. The food (cooked breakfast) was delicious and the staff polite and attentive but it was a bit of a wait for food to arrive. Will definitely visit again as long as I have the time.

There isn't much wrong with the place. Great cafe for breakfast or brunch, Shoreditchy decor which prob cost a few bob, innovative menu - burritos, tapas and cocktails in the evenings. But ... It used to be a great cheap and cheerful greasy spoon where all sections of the community came in. Since the revamp, the only true 'caff' in Wapping has become a hipsters delight. Nothing wrong with that except the staff are too cool for school and given to talking only to each other or the hippest customers, the OK fry-ups are expensive with too little bread, the local history stuff on the walls has gone, so have all the older people, and you'll be lucky to squeeze your wheelchair in here given the way they've reorganised the tables. I wouldn't say this is a community cafe despite the quiz nights.What makes this place great, weather permitting, is the outside space adjacent to the park and trees. I was pleased to see the pitiful community veg plot has been dispensed with.

We ordered 2 coffees these took 12 mins to arrive (/The coffee was a poor quality and lacked any flavour) The waitress asked if we would like any food, we ordered 1 cod and chips with beans and a cheeseburger no salad just cheese and fried onions. (I thought it was funny that the waitress had no check pad) on the way back her phone rang and she stood chatting on it, then totally forgot to order the food so by the time this was sorted out it was an hour and ten mins until we received it. The Cheese burger charged £9 was nothing special it was cheap mince moulded into a beef patie and cooked in a soft roll with cheap cheese and raw onion even though I had specifically asked for cooked onion this item is seriously over priced. Oh and the portion of chips was tiny and full of scratty bits. My companions Cod and chips, The fish was overcooked leaving the batter almost uncutable he got a lot more chips though, The beans arrived half way through the meal and were in the pot that they had been microwaved in which burnt his fingers no warning was given that the dish was hot. o also noticed this place charges £7.50 for a 3 egg omelette (who they buying the eggs off Faberge?) All in a;; it was a terrible and over priced experience served by people who are not suited to serving the public.

This an oasis in the shadow of The City - the garden in the summer and snug fire in the winter. The coffee is good (just tell the staff how you like your coffee, and it happens) and the red wine and cheeky cocktails are good if you're indulging. And not expensive by normal cocktail prices. Tasty range of food - wraps, pastas, salads, breakfast dishes, specials etc. Cooked freshly too, no frozen bought in stuff as far as I know. Kids meals £3.50. Best of all, the genuine welcome. Looking at some of the other comments here, maybe it doesn't always show when they are very busy, but most of the time customers are greeted as friends.And if you're passionate about supporting independent outlets, this is a genuine family business and the owner is around most days.
