This small family-run delicatessen is a great place to shop locally for wholefoods and locally produced goods, including hand-made bread, local jam, honey and chutneys, biscuits and cakes, various local beers and other drinks, cheese and meat as well as plenty of ideas for small gifts. There are also a good number of vegetarian products. Plenty of non-food items too such as genuinely environmentally friendly household cleaning, soap, toiletries, even socks! Really amazing what is contained in this TARDIS-like shop! There is a café in the back of the shop which is popular with walkers (I can’t comment as I haven’t been to the café myself), and also a separate counter for buying loose local cheese and there’s always a great selection including my favourite Cuddy’s Cave. The one gripe I have being the use of throwaway plastic wrap/cling film in an otherwise very environmentally friendly shop. I must mention the fantastic “tea wall” (as I call it), a large section of shelving containing such a huge range of tea, including herbal and fruit teas (sadly no Dr Stuart’s recently so I have had to buy online). There is also a range of locally roasted coffee. Although we prefer to buy from small local businesses can be difficult to get what we need locally (we aren’t fans of the one local supermarket at all) so Tully’s is really good to pop into for certain items. All in all it’s an essential local store which I enjoy visiting. We recently had family visiting from the Netherlands who enjoyed visiting Tully’s too.

Popped In for what we Expected to be a coffee befitting a “Deli” Can safely say it was the worst coffee we have had They even got our cake order wrong Mentioned it at the till and their response was “oh”

I have been taking a family member in a few times as they recover from illness. When we were paying for items at the till, the staff greeted a lady who came in and spoke to her respectfully even smiling. When they turned to my family member, although they are a regular customer, there were no kind words or a smile. I was not happy to see a family member treated with indifference. There seems to be a lack of good customer service in a rothbury. Treat your customers well and they will happily return.

Called in to pick up some local produce, I was really looking forward to trying the local cheeses. unfortunately we were greeted by an extremely unfriendly, miserable member of staff who demanded we sanitise our hands at the door. I tried to explain I had my own and had just done this before entering the store. The women refused to listen to me and proceeded to talk over the top of me. Working in retail management myself I find it shocking that a member of staff would treat customers in such a disrespectful way. I appreciate Covid guidelines must be followed but a bit of common sense would not go a miss. We left the store without purchasing anything due to this women’s bad attitude, given the tough trading climate that most retailers are facing I’m not sure how this women can justify loosing sales due to bad customer service, she obviously doesn’t care about the business she works for. Very disappointing and will not be returning.

This place offers a great range, from the ordinary to quite special. Quite a surprise in such a small village. Some items are really quite pricey and I must remember to check before purchase!

Unless you like eating in a pub, there is not a lot of choice of cafes in Rothbury. The seating area in Tully’s deli is very small - just four basic tables - but if you can get one don’t hesitate to make it yours. While you can get a sandwich, the best option may be to go for one of their sharing platters which they will tailor to your particular taste / likes. Very good quality food, reasonable prices and a friendly service. If we lived nearby this would be one of our regular haunts. Another local, independent trader that is trying to do something different. Give them your business.

This place appears to be a typical deli - but so much more! The staff are lovely, they are so friendly and welcoming and seem very genuine in their welcome. We wanted a lunch that did not include bread so, a lovely lady, invited us to select anything from the deli that they sell to the public and she would make up our lunch from what we select. It was very tasty and exactly what we asked for and wanted. What a great idea, sell deli food to those who take it away but also sell it as lunch to those who want to eat in. If you're in Rothbury, DON'T miss out on Tullys and the wonderful ladies who run it.

Every time, but every time, I go in to Tully's (the deli side) I hope that I will leave feeling good about the experience - but it never happens. Yes it's expensive, but there is an excellent selection of local and other craft cheeses plus plenty of other quality foodstuffs that make for a real treat. However the staff are generally unhelpful, unhappy and unresponsive. And today was no different. I felt totally unvalued. I wondered if it was me being sensitive, so I asked a member of staff at another shop nearby. She said that every time she went in to Tully's she found staff to be miserable and unaware of customer needs. So I didn't feel so bad at feeling bad... But I just want Tully's to be better. It could be such a great shop, but it isn't. Compare its customer service with that of the hardware store opposite, Alderson's, and the nearby florist's - both of which have brilliant and knowledgable staff. So please Tully's - do something. Better leadership? Staff training? Something else? I don't know - but what you are doing at present isn't right.

This is primarily a deli but hidden away at the back is a small but very nice tearoom. There isn't a huge range of food but what there is is very nice and it's worth a trip to Rothbury just for the small lemon pastry thingies. The prices are fine, staff pleasant and there is a good choice of reading matter for those that want it. I would happily go back again.

Seriously good Deli, a vast array of local Northumberland produce, especially the cheeses. The girls working there are extremely pleasant, enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They also have a small seating area where you can get a light lunch/snack or afternoon tea. I had the toasted Bannock and the ginger cake, both delicious and highly recommended.

I was expecting good things from here when I popped in for supplies. I was disappointed by the lack of local produce. The veg on display was really quite old. Suffice to say the courgettes were ‘dimpling’ which is a sign that they will be ‘over’. The was a selection of cheeses and charcuterie however apart from that it was a fairly standard selection found in any deli.

We are staying nearby and in the dead of winter surrounded by snow we were looking to warm up with a coffee. Tully’s is a deli / small 4 table cafe. Large pot of coffee £3. Would have done 4. Toasted bannock was delicious. Deli is well stocked with many local cheeses Very impressed with a super find

Visited 6/10/17 for coffee which was okay but the attitude of one of the older female staff was deplorable. She never smiled once and was quite abrupt when my wife asked for the bill. In my books one of the most important things in cafes and restaurants should be friendliness and a nice smile. We won't be going back.

Stumbled upon the cafe/tea room having been attracted by the excellent deli and grocery offering. The tea room is very intimate (posh phrase for small) but not really the worse for that. Coffee very good and freshly made with toasted teacake as a bonus. It;s clear that the tea room is not the primary purpose of the shop and I'm sure the food choice is limited but we liked it and would go back.

The ability to choose your platter from the deli is first rate - so you get your favourites and the service first rate too. The tables are very small and if the cafe was full, there would not be sufficient room to enjoy your meal. We were there on a very hot day so the somewhat stigion location was a boon..

You would barely know there was a cafe area unless you see the sign outside as the cafe is tucked at the back in a small, windowless back room. There's a simple menu which provides for good wholesome food which you are to pay for. What you don't pay for is the delicious aroma of cheeses, meats and other dairy products in abundance. Well worth the visit alone! The staff were lovely, tea in a real teapot and china crockery. This ain't no McDonalds and long may it remain so!

Used the shop on advice of B&B owner who served Craster kippers at breakfast. We wanted to bring some home, but not keep them in our room, so bought them in advance and shop kept until our departure. Picking them up gave us opportunity to buy some lovely locally produced foods as gifts for friends - local chocolate, cheeses, biscuits, jams and chutneys. We probably paid more than planned but quality and variety was good.

A wonderful shop with a wide range of products which you don't realise are essentials until you have seen them! Super coffee, wide range of local cheeses, a truly special black (I bought an entire one which they wrapped in ice packs so that I could get it home safely) and very helpful, friendly staff. There is also a small area with tables where you can sample their super local produce and coffee - which we did! If ONLY there were more shops like this - especially where I live on the Sussex / Surrey borders!

Needed an early light lunch. Sandwiches can be made from the deli ingredients." From £2.50. " But you have to ask what bread they may have and salad is on offer but not on the menu. This is the second time we have visited Tully's. If you like cheese this place has a good selection that you wouldn't normally be able to purchase elsewhere. Alright a Deli can be a bit wacky compared to Tesco's but you know the food here is loved not just a product for sale. Tully's support local produce and local causes. The staff are friendly enough and efficient at what they do. Every town should have a Tully's

This is a tiny alcove at the back of a delicatessen with only four tables. Nevertheless it was everything you'd want in a teashop. Great coffee (according to my husband), Earl Grey that actually tasted fresh and generously sized toasted teacakes with loads of butter. It was delightful.

Looks lovely and village like from the outside but the staff always seem reluctant to help, slightly surly. I expect to pay a bit more being a small independent village shop but some of their prices are scandalous! You can get the same goods in the co-op a hundred yards away for a third of the price.

Large chain, standard menu offerings, busy, noisy setting, but good sea views, nice outside area. Food came quickly once managed to order at the busy bar. Burger sauce was the best item. Small burger Pattie, creamy coleslaw, hubby had monkfish scampi, bit over battered. Both sets of chips under cooked, when we were asked how our meal was, our reply was just received with blank stare and no response before waiter cleared our plates and left! Buffet breakfast the following morning as we expected! Basic sausages, overcooked black pudding, the bacon, mushrooms and hash browns ok, had run out of baked beans, but at least you could order different eggs if didn’t fancy fried.

It was ok but nothing to push the boat out for. My daughter wanted chicken tikka panini but apparently had no tikka, I asked for a sandwich on brown bread cake but they had no brown bread cakes left. Really?? And this was only just after noon. Nothing special about the ham sandwich which all in all tasted bland. The dog ate most of it.
