Tudor Rose Cafe in Bromley

The second Penge eatery I have found to discriminate against registered,uniformed service dogs and refuses to let them enter the premises... thus preventing the disabled human entering their cafe too. Very disappointing conduct.

First time going to Tudor Rose Cafe and it was exactly what I wanted. Full English, cooked well, decent size and comes with bread and a lovely cup of tea. Lots of options and combinations to choose from. Nothing too fancy and that's how it should be. Also love that the interior hasn't been modernised so it has an inviting feeling. Will definitely come back.

Would not recommend. The Cappuccino tasted watery rather than creamy. Had better cappuccino's elsewhere. Omelette was OK, chips / beans nothing special, didn't really work together as a whole meal. I've had better elsewhere. I don't think they've worked to improve their menu at all in the last couple of decades... There was a random jug of chickpeas behind the counter which looked like it had been left there for many days... I would recommend going to A's Café or Hutch's Café instead if you are in the area.

The perfect breakfast cafe experience. The staff are very friendly and polite, they were happy to change things up on the menu slightly upon request. They were prompt to come and take our breakfast orders. Coffee comes with creamer in it by default, so if you prefer black coffee it's worth specifying when ordering.

They gave me a bacon roll ... with 1 and half pieces of bacon! I've never experienced that! 2 slices is just standard! The roll was huge but the filling was small. The staff seem to stare at you! Weird atmosphere. I gave them 3 stars because the man took the roll back and put in 2 full slices of bacon. The hot chocolate wasn't nice. I won't come back here unfortunately.

First time . . . . And the last! Being hungry, i looked for the biggest breakfast on the board - THE MEGA Breakfast. Now, from my experience of having "the ultimate" from whatever cafe, they always have included either chips or bubble as part of the breakfast - not this one, so i ordered a portion of bubble. The total came to £11.20!! And when the MEGA breakfast arrived, it didnt even include a spoon full of BEANS!!! The plate didnt look like it had over 11 quids worth of food on it (oh, and the bubble was that pured, it was spreadable!) An absolute rip-off

This place saved my life. Otherwise I would died from hunger :) Veggie English breakfast + Coffee = 8£. Perfect.

The food was great. Well cooked and nicely presented. The portions are very generous, large and it's fairly priced. Well worth a visit

This is my go to cafe for breakfast, I order via Uber eats. The food always come hot and they give great portions sizes. I will high recommend!

The vibe was off. Was stared at all through my breakfast, as if I was an alien. Complete racist vibes from this joint. Won’t be going back. My bill amount was shouted across the restaurant. No manners.

I came in during my lunch break to order some food. As I walked in I told a staff member behind the till that I wanted a burger meal for takeaway. As i received the meal and paid, the staff member told me that I had to pay extra for the bun for the burger itself. This ended up costing me £7. After charging me extra for the burger, I get back to work to finish my meal. I open the packaging to see a child sized portion of chips, a soggy bun, a minuscule burger and a sausage that was burnt. I then showed everyone at my work and they also agreed with me. I called to ask for a refund or to add more to the meal I was having. Instead I was told I was crazy for even thinking of calling them and I was wasting their time for calling about a “perfect meal” Don’t come here, I’ve eaten nicer ready meals for cheaper.

So I ordered the full breakfast with extra black pudding and a tea. It was honestly absolutely delicious - like every item on my plate was perfectly done? You may think that's easy for a breakfast but nah. The bacon, oh the bacon. Crispy but still meaty! I mean this had some proper crunch in places while still being properly meaty and having just the right caramelization happening on the fat. The egg, though done as a round puc had just the right amount of crispy on the bottom, and a lovely liquid yoke for showing on my toast. Oh and the toast! Not council issue bread this, good fresh bread with that lovely loaf shape. And plenty of it! The black pudding was on the thin side for my preference but I'm sure most would prefer it - it being clearly well cooked throughout. Even being a little thin for me - no complaints here. Mushrooms - lots of places overdo these but not here. Again fried to just that right point. Why can't I do mushrooms like these at home? The hash browns... Now my only slight beef here is that I like my hash browns to form a palisade, holding my beans back from the rest of the breakfast. But no, these were on the other side of the plate. A bit of structural engineering of my own set me right here though. And like everything else these hash browns had a lovely crisp texture on the outside while being fluffy inside - so again - perfect. The beans? Lots of sauce, but still plenty of the little blighters in there. Yes. This was a lovely breakfast. I will be coming back here again when next I'm in the area.

Lovely staff, great portions for the price, standard cafe food cooked well and served hot, loved the bloomer loaf toast and good coffee, lost stars as i asked for black coffee, got a latte, the menu was dirty and seemed to not been cleaned for quite some time, and the second star was lost due to the toilet area smelling of fish!!!?!?!!? Also no hand drying towels, otherwise it was a nice cafe!

Brilliant Local Cafe for those weekend mornings when you need a Full English breakfast, after a night out OUT. Staff are always friendly, service is great and the food hits the spot every time. One of my go-to places and this morning will be no exception. Thank you Tudor Rose for keeping it real with the bubble and squeak, bacon, mushrooms sausage, beans, eggs, toast, a decent coffee and fresh orange juice. 👍🏽

Very good place. Big breakfast, was perfect and their Cappucino is amazing. Café parfait pour tester le English breakfast. Le Cappuccino est très bon et les repas sont copieux. Je recommande absolument.

Lovely staff and a cracking bit of grub!!! Spilled my sippy cup all over the floor but a nice young lad named Aykut cleaned it up for me absolute gem! Over an hour away from where I live but I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a cracking cuppa and the toilets are bare calm

Great location in Penge with good view to people watch. There's plenty of room in the Tudor Rose. Many cafes try to fit in too many tables and chairs. You could easily fit in a wheelchair or two. Breakfast was good, I would return here.

Staff don't have any manners and don't say thank you and certainly don't look like they appreciate your custom ??? Toilets smell and look dirty . My food taste of nothing and my tea was like p*ss ... I definitely won't be coming back

I like to spend my lazy afternoons here. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and even if you have finished with your drink or food they don't rush you out the door just to make space for another customer. The place is really picturesque with lots of nice art and flowers and offers a nice background, which I use very often for my work. Even if you are not the type to spend a lot of time in a single spot you'll enjoy this place as you have an option to take your coffee with you and enjoy it on your way. As far as coffee prices go I dare say this place is below average for the quality you receive. Overall a nice cafe
