Tuck & Tanner in Nottingham

You advertised that you were showing the grand national horse race in the pub, however when we got there we had to ask for the tv to be changed over to the correct channel and then there was some sort of private party going on and their music was so loud that we couldn’t even hear the tv and ended up leaving and going back home to watch it. There was kids being allowed to ride round the pub on scooters and someone had even been to tescos to buy his own sandwich to bring back and eat , the whole place is a joke and I keep revisiting as I live so locally but each time I regret it!

Had a carvery here today with my family. It was my first time at The Tuck and Tanner and we had a great time. Carvery was delicious, service was good and staff were really friendly. We'll definitely return.

We visited on a Sunday even though it’s a busy time the service was great with no long waiting times. Jacob was nice and kept checking everything was okay with our meal, and Ricky on the carvery was super friendly! Overall lovely!

We had a really nice meal at Tuck and Tanner. The staff were really friendly especially Jacob and Maria. The food came out really quickly and was of a better quality than many pubs we have eaten at. The Doner Kebab I had was amazing and a welcone change to the menu,

Great pit stop for some food and music and atmosphere is great. Food came quickly and service from the bar was the same despite being a busy Sat. Jacob was tentative as were Maria Phoebe, Lewis and Oliver. Thanks guys

Beautiful breakfast! I've had coeliac disease for 13 years and this is the first breakfast I've eaten out that did gluten free sausages, I usually end up just having bacon, egg and hash brown and paying the full price of a breakfast but here I was able to eat all that came with the breakfast including the toast. The quality of the ingredients and the way it was cooked was spot on. Would definitely recommend!

Very enjoyable food with nice staff. Lots of space for families and kids as there is a little park incorporated in here. Also a very good location near Tesco and some major points in the city/town

I want to give you some Disappointing Feedback for my Visit. My Wife had booked a Table for 3 for Mother's Day from the Website as it showed a Set 3 Course Meal and the Menu seemed very nice, when we got to the Restaurant we asked the Young lady where the Menu was for Mother's Day a older Blonde hair lady came to us and said well we have been doing Carvery's now for 5Weeks therefore we are sticking with that we also have the normal Menu, she then said have you booked it off the Website I said yes she replied yeah they haven't updated it yet Disappointment number 1. Whilst eating our food there was 2 young Girls who cleaned the tables they were stood together when one of them asked if the food was ok I said yes as we had only just started on our Starters not 5Minutes later the Ginger hair girl asked me again how's the food I replied the same as it was 5 minutes ago, I under stand asking people if the foods ok but to ask not once not twice but 6 times is a little to much especially as they were both stood together the 1st time. what annoyed me even more was as soon as I had finished my last Chicken Wing the girl removed my dish without asking if it was ok, the black hair girl then came back and said do you want your Main I said no thanks I've just finished my Starter please give me 5minutes all of a sudden she was back with my Mains obviously my wife and Mother In Law had opted for the Carvery so they was in a queue which took awhile and the Carvery wasn't the best to be told you can only have 1 piece of Crackling isn't the best especially when the piece is about 5cm by 5cm. My Wife doesn't like Confrontation where as I don't mind it especially if I feel people need to be told the Service or Food isn't up to scratch but as my Mother-In-Law was with us I decided id just send an Email, so overall our visit wasn't the best and I hope you can see why we were so very disappointed to be advertising a Set Menu then to be told no we are doing that now seems like false advertising and there were several people who had also done what we had done. I

Great pub , excellent selection of drinks and food , staff always friendly and always a good vibe around the place . Great for families of all ages

I came here with family food was amazing, phoebe was great very helpful, would recommend this beautiful pub to anybody.

Staff were very helpful and friendly while ordering food, they fully understood the changes needed to the order due to food allergies and food arrived quickly and was very tasty

Nice pub, drinks are pretty expensive for the area I think, food was good, and all reasonably priced. Very friendly barstaff.

Disappointed as some of the food wasn't there ie onion rings rump steak also meaning mixed grill was off as well. On the plus side the staff were amazing from the greeting lady with shaved back and sides blood on top

Lovely pub they even had a quiz on that was fantastic bar staff and food runners all introduced there selfs both Jemma and Demi that served us fantastic service and very understanding on picky orders. Jacob brought us our food and left us to eat till we had finished was lovely not being interrupted like other places when you get your food. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of going.

Was served someone's else order and the quality was shockingly poor. McDonalds would have been better and cheaper. Handled my complaint incorrectly. So sad to see a local go down hill.

Absolutely shocking service and food. We had tried a couple of other places first but fully booked. Went to order beef burgers but had none. Warning bells should have kicked in then. Ordered two chicken burgers and ultimate chicken burger with two side of chicken...

Popped in for the first time with family on Saturday service was great really enjoyed our food.Locals were friendly and inviting,staff and manager were great.Will definitely visit again.

We came a few month's ago and couldn't faul it and today my husband ordered the large mix grill the chicken Gammon and chip's were fine but the steak was tough not many chip's sausages were burnt and dry.i had the Sunday roast beef it looked lovely but it wasn't the best stuffing was cold beef tasted processed carrots green bean's and brocoli was raw.

My son had his 12th birthday party here. It was brilliant nothing was too much trouble for the friendly helpful staff. Anna was especially helpful and kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was tasty and service was prompt. Highly recommend

We did enjoy the food Very nice as usual But the Foster's tasted watered down and just not right manager refused to refund drinks and had to buy a different brand The entrance stunk of weed as you walked in and there was a lingering of the smell in the pub Everything was fine as normal as it usually is but the manager refused to refund or replace drinks as no one else had complained Bar staff and waiting staff excellent

We came here with our 2 sons who are 6 and 7, the boys had gammon and chips and ate it all. The staff and atmosphere are great, it’s a family friendly place and we will definitely come again.

We came here in a large group for a birthday meal, the food and service was excellent. The bar staff Jemma and Demi managed to serve us quickly and the server Jacob was very attentive.

Friendly and informal. Nice choice on the menu and very good to have a choice of menu, especially the non gluten options. Overall enjoyed the meal , just disappointed that my custard was only warm with the jam sponge. I used to work in catering, so I tend to be more understanding when things don't always work out perfectly. Hot custard is great ; only warm custard won't make my world "crumble ."

My family and I popped into Tuck & Tanner on Christmas eve. It were busy & the staff was rushed off their feet. Regardless of how busy they was the staff was friendly, accommodating, smiling and very helpful. We ordered the cow burger, spicy burger, fish & chips, x2 kids meals, x2 garlic bread. they was all beautifully cooked and served hot, however the fish was so beautiful it was flaking not much the batter could have been a tad crisper but overall delicious. Its clear to see the staff work hard to make sure everyone who walks through the door gets 100%.

There is always a wide choice of food available here. The food in genuinely nice on a pub level sort of bracket. Plenty of seating and the staff are friendly and proffesional. Occasionally get some loud customers but this is due to no fault of their own.

Overall a good staff Christmas meal. Had a few problems with cold food and uneven tables which led to a spillage. Jacob was our server who did his best to help with our queries.

Had a lovely time today at Tuck and Tanner. The Bar staff, Maria and Brodie, were very polite and took our order quickly. Nice, hot food prepared by Ollie, Ricky, and Rhianna. Only downside was there was not much gravy but our server, Jacob, quickly resolved this by bringing us an extra pot of it! Overall a pleasant experience :)

Come bk to change reviews from 5 to a 3. Because ever since place shut from covid lock down time it's never been the same. I use to eT 3 to 5 times a week in the place before covid. Only too few visits after it opened bk up to see the place had changed the locals had changed and not in a good way. Ain't been in for even a pint in prob 2 years now

Decided we didn't want to cook and remembered seeing Tuck & Tanner a few days prior. Arrived just after 19:30 and ordered, food came pretty quickly and was hot and cooked well (£45 for two pints, 2 starters and 2 mains is a pretty good...

Customer service was very pleasant: menus displayed food options clearly and service was very good. Only thing was that the food from ordering to being delivered to the table was a bit slow (20mins) for lunch time (I have one hour lunch break) so felt a bit rushed when eating the well prepared meal (side salad looked a bit tired 🥱) but overall a lovely place. Oh yeah! Nice clean toilets too

We booked a table for 24 people to celebrate my daughter qualifying as a Midwife. From the moment we stepped in, the service and friendliness from the staff was fantastic. Every step was clarified with us first and the food was absolutely spot on. A big shout out to Jacob who served us and explained everything so well, thank you so much. Came to the Tuck and Tanner for lunch after doing the weekly shop at the nearby Tesco. Greeted by Larissa who served us, she is very polite, approachable and helpful. The food was delivered in great time and was lovely.
