The Whitemoor in Nottingham

We used The Whitemoor for a wake and Jamie, the Manager could not have done more for us. He is friendly and overwhelmingly accommodating, hospitality is clearly his calling. We used the pubs catering which was excellent and the back room of the pub which is beautifully decorated and intimately sized for the occasion. We are extremely thankful for Jamies hospitality, ensuring absolutely everything ran smoothly on the day.

I've had 2 events here within 2 weeks of each other and I could not praise management and staff enough!!! Ever so accommodating and easy going. Always down to help! Amazing, speedy and friendly service, staff are always smiling. Pub is spotless. 10/10 customer service 10/10 would highly reccomend hosting an event here. Bar and toilets within seconds of the function room. Willing to go above and beyond to help you out. Just all around amazing!

I hired the upstairs function room in the whitemoor pub for my 25th bday party and I’m so glad I did. Jamie the owner was amazing from start to finish. He made sure my party ran smoothly and I couldn’t thank him enough for that! He left us decorate the room from early which was amazing and offered to help us set up and get the room ready 🥹 The function room was big enough for a balloon arch (mini photo booth) a Dj, food, tables + chairs as well as a dance floor for me, all my friends and family. Honestly I couldn’t recommend this pub enough! Service was really good & the staff were lovely :) I’m deffo booking the room again !!!

One of the worse places I've ever been to. 1. dj can't even play requests 2. food comes out when they say so on private parties 3. they don't give what is included in price 4. other party's help them self to other party s food and staff are not bothered 5. took over an hour to get tables cleaned 6. if you want a party NEVER COME HERE

Having been for Christmas dinner last year and enjoying it . I thought I would treat the family. Although the starter was ok the service was very slow and the main course of turkey dinner was not the mash potato was lumpy and the presentation was awful. We didn’t receive the champagne sorbet and the dessert of Xmas waffle was missing the advertised whipped cream. When we came to pay we was given the wrong bill we told them and got told ‘you shouldn’t have said anything’ we received no apology and I have messaged them to complain and they haven’t even bothered to reply. I found the whole experience awful and will definitely not be eating there ever again

Having been to The Whitemoor last Christmas for Christmas dinner and enjoying it I thought I would give it a go again this year . I really did not enjoy the dinner the mash potato was very lumpy and also a long wait between courses . We did not get our champagne sorbet as advertised on the menu and also the Xmas waffle should have been served with fresh cream which was missing. We found the whole experience disappointing and has definitely made us not to try again. Also was a mix up with the bill but being honest told them no apology found their system very disorganised

Food nice, great price, and fast service

First time we visited this pub with my sisters we thought the Prosecco was expensive at 22,00 pound a bottle ordered food it wasn’t great sent the pie and mash back twice the pie was burnt on the inside mash was instant veg was soggy my daughters curry wasn’t very hot Didn’t get an apology or a refund as the manager was upstairs and no member of staff could give a refund , so my niece paid £12.00 and didn’t get to eat anything I really would not recommend this pub at all absolutely terrible .

Absolutely awful place, the chef pops his infected spots in the kitchen near the food and the landlords are horrible I wouldn’t be surprised if they spat in your drink for not liking you, do not recommend :(

I don’t normally write reviews but the food & service we had was so good. We are local, there are not many local places for food & drink so wanted to try it for a new place to drop in and have found our new ‘local’!

The pub has been decorated to a high standard,and this is my third visit in a year, the Beer is good, and they have flatscreen tv,s showing all sports, plus a pool table, the biggest problem for me about this pub is the food, which has totally deteriorated from my first visit. From Good to Very Poor. The last time I ate there I had the sausage and mash, I had to complain about the watery gravy and over cooked sausage. This time I had the Chicken combo, and only managed to eat the chips and sweet corn, as the chicken was overcooked and inedible,they should stop trying to be a gastro pub, unless they sort the kitchen out and consistently serve Good quality food. I have spoken to the manager and agreed to return at a future date to see the change. I'm not looking to be treated as a special case. Everyone should be reinvited.

Went with friends for lunch today. Pub is lovely and clean. Although the menu was limited and we were told this before we started. The food we had was well cooked and very nice. The manageress who looked after us was very helpful and did all she could to make our visit very enjoyable. We will certainly return. Jane & Chris Hooton

Very disappointing how quickly the new management have lost control of this pub. Antisocial behaviour and flagrant drug taking goes completely unchallenged. Atmosphere is ruined for everyone.

Cracking pub with lots of parking and a bus stop right outside. Recently undergone a return which remains nearly untouched thanks to the lockdown! Decorated very tastefully and to a very high standard, there are different areas decorated to different tastes, so it's eye catching for all. Plenty of little more intimate areas if you don't want the hustle and bustle of the rest of the pub. Larger areas for bigger groups too and a large dog friendly area inside too. Outside a nice pontoon lit area to the rear of the pub and a large patio area facing the main road at the front. The staff we encountered were very friendly and professional and couldn't do enough for us. Table service too many we felt very comfortable whilst being waited on. There is a limited menu but one that caters for all diets, all tastes and even a dedicated children's menu too. Even better is 2 for 1 on burgers on a Tuesday. The food came out quickly, was hot and very tasty. Presented well the portion size was great too. All round a great little pub with lots of potential. I highly recommend a visit and we will be back.

First Time I have eaten in this pub, but I have drank here before and have no negative comments. I went with a group of friends for the 50% off deal. And the quality of the food I ate was first class. Particularly the Cumberland sausages, the decor is very nice and facilities are clean and of a high standard. There are hand gel dispensers everywhere and overall it is what you would expect of a newly decorated establishment. Most importantly the staff I found where friendly and professional, they do a great job making customers feel welcomed. Not living locally I also found that the bus stop right outside the pub very handy, if you prefer that to cabs. I will be going back on a regular basis, and would recommend to anyone young, and not so young. They also have sport on TV and a beer garden. I'm going to try a Saturday for a night out.

Have been a few times now and it has never disappointed! The Mixed Grill, is a particular highlight with every component tasting really nice (the sausage was amazing).

Been to the whitemoor tonight for a family bday meal. There was 25 of us a mix of adults and kids. WHAT FAB SERVICE. all meals came out together and it was delicious. All Staff where great. Thank you so much we will be returning.

Having lived in Aspley for most of my life and witnessed all the local pubs either close down or be a magnet for unscrupulous characters I was delighted to hear that the whitemoor had been done up. I am a huge dog lover and find it impossible to find a dog friendly pub that is within walking distance of where I live. Decided to try here today after a walk on Melbourne park and it didn't disappoint. The staff where welcoming to my dog and we enjoyed a couple of drinks in their nice sheltered garden at the rear , a shame someone was burning rubbish over the fence from the garden which left us all smelling of smoke, not sure if this was on the pubs premises or not? However, we had a really nice visit despite this and intended to visit again very soon to try the food. Only regret is that we didn't ask if dogs were also welcome inside as the weather will shortly result in it being too cold to sit outside with your four legged friend!!

Nice pub this, visited whilst working away. Menu was good, food i ordered was great 👍 generous beer garden to the front also a smaller but decent size garden to the back,also a big screen in the back for sports viewing 😀 the pub inside is really nice to. staff are spot on also 👌 so great place to go ✌

Went there for the first time. Staff seem frendly and nice and surrounding was pleasant and welcoming, Food not so good, the wife had half chicken with choice of glaze, it was very dry, I tried a bit was like eating cardboard, I had the beef pie, never come across where the pie pastry was so hard it was rock hard, mash was also on the small size. Hope this was a one off for them, such a shame as I'm within walking distance to the pub would of been a nice place to go for food and drinks.

Although this pub has recently been renovated and the dining area is lovely, the cost for basic pub food was just not worth it. Most pubs operate offers for basic prepared food such as scampi and chips. For £7.99 this wasn't great value. Service needs to be improved. I didn't really appreciate sitting down and being asked two minutes later for my order, or for plates and glasses to disappear instantly when others are still eating. I know you need the table but hurrying people along is very poor service. On top of that, we found a number of items added to our bill since there were not that many people in the pub I'm not sure that it was a mistake. The number of drinks increased, we were charged for drinks we didn't have and for a more expensive bottle of wine despite having the same one twice, which nearly increased the bill by a third. They corrected the billing but it shouldn't of happened in the first place. I just wouldn't recommend this pub alone on the quality and billing issues. If you are going, try the app to ensure your order is overseen correctly.

Food lovely, staff excellent, value for money

Really nice place prices are average but the portion sizes (on sides anyways) don’t really reflect the price. Ordered a plate of chips the other day and had to ask where it was after 45 minutes. After asking it came out in a second and was more a kids portion than an adults portion at £2.29. We also ordered garlic bread another time and it was 3 tiny slices for £1.99. Next time i’d probably order two of each to be substantial enough. Will definitely be back again but little things like that bring the experience down a bit.

What's not to like. Greeted and shown to our table after completing their test and trace details. Felt safe with sanitiser and tables spaced apart. Menu is good and varied. Took advantage of the 50% off deal ordering a mega mixed grill, wow!! Great value even at full price to be honest. Easily could feed 2. We will return as the staff are so helpful and clearly enjoy their jobs.

Went for food here before work. My order was spot on and the food was phenomenal and very well presented. Would definitely eat again. Also whilst there, the customer service was really good. All are smiley and happy and go the extra mile to make sure everyone is having a good time

Heard about the refurb through social media and was intrigued to see what Itd look like once all completed so couldn't wait to visit once it had reopened. Thank god I did, the whitemoor is definitely the place to be and is a league above...

came to check out the local pub which has just had a refurb! Completely blown away with the transformation! What a beautiful pub. Team were great and couldn't be more helpful!! Would definitely get yourself there to check it out!!
