Welcoming on arrival - good menu with choice of small plates also - great beer - excellent service - Grace qwas amazing.

The perfect place to drink this summer!! it was very busy but everyone was friendly and so lovely. Our server Thandi (who seemed slightly rushed off her because there was barely any staff) informed us of a slight wait on food due to the amount of people there, but in the mean time she helped us pick out beers from their bar and the best food options which helped a lot. We ordered 3 small plates to share (cauli wings, flatbread and chicken wings) they were definitely worth the wait. Overall our experience was lovely and I’d definitely come back!!!

Started with a Whiskey and Beer pairing experience lead by their brewer Ross - I'm not big on Whiskey, but he was extremely knowledgable on everything we drank, especially the beer. You can feel his passiom behind the words, truely a great and informative experience. Following this we had a meal - they were very accommodating with changing/excluding certain ingredients for items like burgers. I had the Buttermilk Chicken burger (buttermilk marinated chicken fillet in crispy breadcrumbs, lettuce, a light spread of mayo, and red slaw) and it was delicious. The fries were hot, crispy, fluffy and salty and the garlic and herb dip that accompanied it was light, creamy and packed with flavour. They also had a great selection of table sauces (Stokes brand). I would highly recommend visiting this spot, they are a fantastic brewery with great beer, great food and passionate staff. If I'm ever back in Nottingham, I will endevour to visit again.

Popped in for a quick drink with the dog after a walk along the riverside at teatime. Staff were lovely and provided a bowl of water for the dog without being asked which was great (and he got a fuss). Can’t comment on the food as didn’t have any. But otherwise been a few times now after a walk and it’s always good here

The location is great, decoration lovely. Service bad in the restaurant, they forget about you once you are seated, you'll have to get up constantly for anything you need, Sunday roast is awful, specially the pork you can crush a wallnut with that piece of meat. Potatoes, suffing and the Yorkshire that come with it are soggy as a wet pancake. I felt embarrassed for the poor manager on site, but I could not eat anything and he did not charge us. I'll give it another try, not Sunday roast, just because everyone deserves a 2nd opportunity and I remember this was one of my favourite roasts in Nottingham. I really hope you can make it better, it's difficult out there and you are surrounded of other nice places with decent food and good service.

Have been to Brewhouse for last few years on Forest match days for pre game lunch/dinner lately we started heading elsewhere as the service and menu was dwindling. Tried again this weekend 12/04/25 but I have to say poor!! 15 mins before we were seen to and the so called matchday menu was worse. There was a full menu for many years and now it’s down to half a dozen items. Two types of beef burger and a veggie. What’s happened to chicken or salads. Three mains, pie, fish n chips, mac n cheese. We used to love coming to the Brewhouse but my god has it gone downhill. Very disappointing.

Probably had the worst Sunday dinner I’ve ever had. Chicken - tasteless. Half a parsnip underdone, a slice of carrot -cooked, stuffing ball - not cooked on bottom and I think from frozen. Roast potatoes-outside all soft and soggy, red cabbage over done, Yorkshire pudding ok but again I think from frozen. Having said all that it was edible, wife left half hers, fortunately we were using a voucher but certainly not worth what it should have cost. When complained given free desert and a coffee. Won’t be back

We was a big party of 24 on Mothers Day I feel the team did amazing and the food was great quality. The team member who over saw our table was great and we felt looked after. I would definitely recommend this place.

We had dinner this evening at Brewhouse & kitchen, we were happy with most of our meals but really disappointed with the Buddha Bowl - for £17 we were shocked at how small the portion was - it felt like they’d run out of the ingredients. It was barely filling the bowl, came with a small scoop of guacamole, small scoop of hummus, three small pieces of falafel, the red pepper and squash were slimy, as if they had been sitting out. We really wouldn’t recommend this dish and would encourage the restaurant to re-think this option on the menu. Unfortunately, we probably wouldn’t return due to this.

I ordered a nachos starter with extra chicken. I was then given the order and told there’s no guacamole. I asked if there’s a substitute. I was given MAYO as a substitute. I would have appreciated if I was told beforehand if I wanted to change my order if something was missing. But no. The member of staff was not really accommodating about the situation. I don’t know what’s happened to the vibrant BHK staff…where even if there minimal guests you can create a vibe from the customer service and decor/surroundings. Doubt I’ll come here again to work.

I recently visited for the rum tasting. You get 6 rums to try, snacks and a cocktail. You can add a meal for an extra £10. The snacks were 2 packets of crisps between 3 people, which didn't feel enough and I felt there could have been a bit more thought around what would pair with rum or the carribean theme. Our rum guide, Jake, was welcoming and friendly. We were left quite often to watch youtube videos complete with adverts around rum distilling. I would have preferred Jake to talk us through the steps. We were given a varied mix of rums to try. We were given a dark and stormy cocktail at the end, but it might have been nicer to have a rum cocktail of our choice. I went for the meal at the end, which was very tasty.

We called in for a late Sunday lunch (4.30pm). Hardly anyone in hence the 1* for atmosphere. The food was ok. The staff were fine but things like the table not being properly cleaned after previous customers and having to ask for cutlery detracted from the overall experience.

Organised a charity night at the venue. Jordan and crew were amazing. Thanks so much to everyone for being awesome

Went in waited 15mins at the bar to not be acknowledged once, the bar was fairly empty at half 12 on a Sunday. Finally a member of staff came over and ordered a couple of drinks for them to say “one second” before disappearing and commencing outdoor waiting duties. No apology given after I said the member of staff are we not having any drinks then? Did not even reply. We left and couldn’t even validate parking.

Myself and my son came on a brewday experience, Ross was fabulous he was very welcoming and his vast knowledge during the day came through that this is not just a job it's a calling. The experience was fun and we learnt a lot about brewing that we didn't already know, the food was tasty and wholesome and portions good. A throughly great day and thank you very much Ross.

Unfortunately, we won't be coming back. We attended on Saturday afternoon after wanting to treat the children to lunch out. The atmosphere was quiet, there was probably about 10 people in altogether. We got there just after 12 and were told they had a function at 3 and therefore needed to be out by then... fine we thought we've got loads of time. Fast forward to about 20 minutes later, no one had been over to ask for drinks or food or anything. Our server came over, asked us for drinks and food, we gave our order, thought everything was fine, for the server to come back roughly 20 mins later to say 'food will be a 30 minute wait'.. again okay, but this should have been told at the beginning when we sat down. And also, considering there was like 10 people in there altogether, im not really sure why there was such a wait. Assuming it was something to do with the 'function' they had. The server then came back around 30 minutes after that, to say that they no longer had any fish and chips... again something that should have been said at the beginning or at least someone should have known the quantities of the ingredients. By this point, our children (youngest of whom is 4), were getting more hungry and it was now well past 1pm. At roughly 130, we still didn't have any food. Our food came out at around 2pm - well over the 30 minute mark. Alongside this, my daughter had the delight of telling me that the chef was grabbing chips out of the bowl and eating them, all of which I'm fine with, yanno he needs to eat, he's working hard - but this is the same chef I'd just watch grab a handful of chips and put them on our plates 5 minutes before - both incidents with no gloves on. After speaking to the server, who apologised and said she was rushed off her feet... our drinks were taken off. I'm not sure if they were just having an off day or what, but it wasn't good.

Lovely place, big and spacious. Very good menu selection. Their beer battered fish and triple cooked chips are especially good.

Great for a few drinks in a really nice location. They provide some really tasty craft brews and wide range of drinks. It's a decent stop off if your visiting the Trent Embankment whether it be summer, in the beer garden or winter in the ample bar space.

Ross is the man! What a day! Beer, beer, beer! I’d recommend the brewery day to anyone who fancies a laugh, a lesson, a just a love beer. The guy is a legend!

Attended for a Whisky and Beer pairing evening. Brewhouse & Kitchen is a bit out of town, yet once you arrive you are greeted by the friendly bar staff. This dog friendly establish was very quiet a little to quiet, yet that did not stop the 6 attenders having a great time, drinking Whisky(s) and beer(s) with some lovely food. Thanks to Luke our host for the evening.

Did a whisky and beer tasting session followed by a meal. Luke knew his stuff. Had 2 whiskies I’d never heard of before

Had a brilliant afternoon on the beer tasting experience, brought for us as a gift. We found the whole thing informative and fun. Eight different types of beer like wheat beer, pilsner ipa etc. A sniff of the malts and hops too, finished off with some tasty food. My old go to of Mac Cheese in my case. Highly recommended

Thursday 14th April 2022 I visited this excellent micro pub, which brews its own handpumped ales. This pub is 6 minutes' walk from Trent Bridge cricket ground Very plleasent surroundings to drink good real ale on my visit the staff so friendly and helpful and 40 p off for camra members and if weather nice it has a lovely outdoor drinking area on the river trent to drink in Saturday 18th November 2023 we again give this great real ale pub a try Again, I'm not dissapointed its more of a muchness of the above review i did earlier this year Saturday 21st December 21st 2024 This brewhouse pub next to Notts County fc brews its own beers, and it was as last time I came a large spacious comfortable place well staffed and a lovely outdoor drinkinking area over looking the river trent the 4 real ales on today, we're well looked after I had the stout Keep up the good work all involved

We visited ad a group of 8 last last night, food was excellent and service was fab. We all had a great night.

This place is so much fun and the staff are the BEST. We have had multiple great bookings, most recently for our thanksgiving meal for 15 in the private bookable dining room. We will be doing more events here again. Thank you to everyone who made it work. We are so grateful.

We had a great evening at the Whisky and Beer Tasting and enjoyed the included meal too. Given the amount of alcohol involved, the only thing that would have improved the evening for us would have been for the snacks to have been served during the tasting.

We went for a pre Forest game dinner and had the chickpea burger which was absolutely delicious. The staff were very helpful, friendly, attentive and the food was served in good time. It was lovely to see the chefs smiling and enjoying their job too. Will definitely book again.

Service was shockingly poor. Meals arrived at different times, had to ask for side plates for sharing plates/starters, had to ask for cutlery, had to ask for sauces. No-one checked if our meal was satisfactory. No-one came to clear our plates after our main, not to ask if we wanted dessert etc. We got up and could have very easily walked out such was the lack of attention but instead we stood waiting for almost 10mins at the bar before we had to eventually ask if we could pay there. To be fair the barman did apologise. Food was very poor quality. Measly portions for the sharing starters, Asian Bang Bang chicken had no Asian flavours, Mac cheese tasted very processed. Very disappointing for such a well positioned pub/restaurant which looks lovely inside too. Shame.

Experienced our first rum tasting session. Great selection, Rita was very knowledgeable and had a great chicken burger after. Would recommend for something different to do on a night out x

I have to say this has been the worst experience of eating and drinking in this place. The service was appalling so much so that we declined to pay the discretionary service charge. Arriving to eat in the restaurant at 1:00 our order of drinks took 40 minutes to arrive and our food 60 minutes. This was after raising our concerns with the staff on several occasions! Really disappointing.

I went to the brewhouse yesterday with some friends , the food was lovely and very tasty. I was served by a wonderful lady called Thandi, she was great and really helped out . Would definitely recommend.

I went to brewhouse after the Robin Hood race today and it was extremely busy. Despite that, my server Thandi delivered exceptional service keeping us updated on the small wait. The food was lovely and I’d definitely come again!!

Managed to book online super easy but when I arrived they had not put out a placement for my group so we had to make do with the space that was available - staff were clearly rushed off their feet with an influx of people leaving the cricket early due to rain! Staff were helpful with my allergies whilst ordering food and warned us of the longer wait time (40 ish mins) but in the end we had been sat for just shy of an hour waiting for our roast dinners, I had to go and ask at the bar where our food was which we were informed it was on the way, when it arrived the staff apologised for the long wait and said they were not happy with the food they were serving us so offered us a free round of drinks which we appreciated. Sadly the food wasn’t the best, some of it was a little cold and beef was a little over cooked! Vegetables were lovely though especially the roast carrot and fresh kale! Will definitely try come back on a quieter/less busy day and give them a second chance as the food was definitely tasty just a shame about how long the service took and a few issues with parts of the roasts!

" Overall A Very Poor Experience" Usually the proof is in the pudding ( the eating) that eventually classifies an eatery as bad! The Sunday lunch was overcooked and tasteless. The food was that disgusting that we took two mouthfuls and left. When paying the bill ( £38) I remarked to the Chef that he needed a change of career. The Chef just laughed and the Manager just ignored the complaint. " Clearly Being Poorly Managed"

Came here last week with my family. Everything about the place is amazing, staff are friendly and food is great. Atmosphere is lively, but welcoming for families. I got served by Amy, and she was hands down the best server I have ever had. She was so polite, and attended to any needs that we had.

Food was very slow even though we pre-ordered, burger buns were burnt, didn't check if food was ok, generally didn't seem to care.

Was part of a pre-booked works dinner at 12 midday on a Wednesday. Was urged by colleagues to pay in advance and order online weeks before, so the food would come out in time for us to eat within a one hour dinner break. Despite this, the food wasn't served until 45 mins after our arrival time, worse still was that I was one of the first to be served amd had finished before some people had even got there food. No apologies or acknowledgement of poor service such as an explanation of being short staffed. Most of the party had to take a 2 hour dinner break which is a joke considering they had all of our orders in advanced. Shocking stuff. Food was OK but atmosphere ruined by people still waiting fir food an hour into being there.

Just had a beer and whiskey pairing with Charlie. Absolutely fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Charlie really gauged our personalities and humour quickly and catered the experience to us. Lots of learning about the drinks we were experiencing and laughter throughout. Would highly recommend the beer and whiskey pairing experience. Additionally, the subsequent food and drinks were fantastic in a brilliant location

We attended a brewery experience day with Ross and it was an excellent day! Ross was brilliant! Very knowledgeable and entertaining. We got on really well with the others in our group too, which made it even better. We are having our wedding Reception there in October and if we are lucky there might be some of the beer we brewed on the pumps on our big day 🥰

Amazing!! You need to make it clear tipping policies!! The brewer Ross did a fantastic job and wanted to tip them handsomely but I wanted to make sure they got the money but they couldn't clarify x they were amazing and deserve for all the years knowledge a higher pay rise and begger tips x please treasure this person and take care of them as they have inspired me so much x pay them better and let me tip them more with better tipping practice xx Food was great only 2 vegan options but I'm happy to have an options and so nice xx very informative and so much much knowledge everyone should do this!!

Had the full day brewery experience, Ross showed and incredible knowledge on the brewing process and a great honesty in how beer is made. Really refreshing and loved the company. Ross was incredibly knowledgeable about brewing and happily shared his knowledge. Great day and happily come back.

We had two burgers dirty fries and a pie meal . BOTH burgers were served with mayo when requested no sauce . Then without warning the kitchen closed, so no deserts for us then !!!! Charming oh and half an hour earlier, zero customer service or satisfaction. DEFINITELY WONT BE BACK

The Brewhouse had the aircon which was very much needed on the hottest day of the year. The guys are friendly but there should be no need for people waiting when there’s three people behind the bar at 14:30 in the afternoon. I also had to ask for our table to cleaned, it was sticky and smeared with sauce - the cricket was blamed for the mess. I know it’s tough working in a busy bar. Our food was OK, the wings and pardon peppers were hot, the chips were cold when they arrived but they replaced quickly. Our beers were good, the pilsner was cold and refreshing. The toilets needed cleaning, I can’t give more than three stars.

I've been there twice with family and both times have been met with problems with the menu / food. The first time, we had a Sunday roast, which was mediocre at best, and served cold. The staff also didn't let us know that there was no pork crackling which was the reason half the table ordered the pork. The second time was last night for my mother in law's birthday. It was Friday night and they had no stock for a margarita, no garlic bread and no chicken for chicken burgers. The beef burgers we had were fine, nice flavours and decent chips. But the staff did not seem phased that so much was out of stock - on a Friday night no less! I probably won't be eating there again. Their drinks are ok, not the best cocktail selection, however.

We just had our wedding reception here the other day in the upstairs Riverside Gallery room. The food was absolutely delicious and went down a treat, we wished we had bigger stomachs! We want to extend our thanks to Poppy, who was extremely supportive throughout the whole organization process, and let us have complete control of what we wanted, while throwing in amazing ideas and suggestions, up until the very last minute! We also want to thank Tom, who manned the bar upstairs during our party, who gave the whole room so much life, energy, and positivity. He showed extreme politeness to every request made, and did so with a smile on his face- in fact I don't think he stopped smiling the whole time. Tom, thank you so much for being a legend, and for providing us with such a wonderful experience at the Brewhouse. We can't wait to come again. - Joe & Chantal

I had a big family get together for lunch last Saturday and I was so impressed with the service and food. Highly recommend.

We visited brewhouse for lunch and I was so disappointed. Firstly we ordered two pints of lemonade which were £7.60!! So already off to a bad start. The bar inside smelled really bad, so we had to sit outside. We ordered the fish finger sandwich which I would not recommend to anyone. The fish was okay but the bread was so thick and felt like it was dipped in oil. My hands were covered in oil and I felt so sick eating it. They’ve really gone downhill since our last visit. It’s such a shame as they have a great outdoor area.

Terrible food. Dirty table and floor space around the table. Worn outdoor furniture. Ordered buttermilk burgers - dry chicken on burnt burger buns. Kids meals not appropriate for younger ones - over dry/ over fried. Waste of a visit. Won’t be back.

I had a private event upstairs,and it was brilliant! Poppy was great with helping to organise everything,and the staff on the night were also amazing. Very accommodating and bent over to help. The room was a great size and suited my needs exactly. Would definitely recommend this venue for private functions and parties. Thank you!

The service from waiting staff was outstanding. Great choice of food and beers. Food OK, unfortunately a few items missing and poor attitude from kitchen regarding this. Again, waiting staff superb. Great pub a little let down by kitchen

I had chosen the brew house for a after work event which put me in touch with a staff member poppy who help through out the whole process from book to the night of the event making sure it was a smooth transaction, the food options provided to us where of top quality menus and catered for dietary needs. I will be using again for other events in the near future, thank you poppy for all your help.

Brewery experience day with Ross. From what I can remember it was an excellent day. The whole day was excellent from start to finish. Loads of beers and loads of food. We are going to do this again!!

What a great place this is. A fine selection of beers, including their own brews. A lovely atmosphere, fine food and really friendly and helpful staff. The gig guy, Tom, really knew his stuff and helped with some great ale choices. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing service by Grace. In spite of us Take That fans taking over the pub a great atmosphere and only downside was the bar queue due to our take over.

Excellent party night at Brewhouse and kitchen for a 60th birthday. The room was lovely and food and service was excellent. We had the pleasure of Poppy dealing with all our requirements for the evening. She was so accommodating to all our requests, nothing was too much trouble and we felt very confident that everything would go to plan under her supervision. Great venue for a special occasion! Would highly recommend. Thank you for a fabulous evening!

How is it possible to have so few bar staff on match day when so many people want to spend money. So many people walking out. This place must be run by a communist 🤣

Food was incredible (burger - wow - and chips) and beers were a great selection. It was very busy with the Bank Holiday but Charlie was great and recommended a good stout.

Great burger and chips with a great selection of beers to go alongside. Visited here for my birthday and the burger meal deal with the 6x third pints flight was a perfect combination. The chilli jam and cheesebeer sauce in the burger was incredible!

Nice location. Service was quick (albeit the pub was empty). However, the craft pilsner was astonishingly vapid.

We were there as away football supporters and were made welcome. There was a good selection of beers, lagers and pale ales but there wasn't a bitter on offer on the day. Hence, the 4 stars.

Had lunch and drinks before the Forest match today & it was a really enjoyable afternoon. The food and drinks were lovely. Also very impressed with the service and a special mention to Connell who was very knowledgeable about both the food and drinks and couldn’t be more helpful and was very friendly indeed. I’d recommend the brew house & kitchen very highly indeed.
