We had a fantastic wedding at The Brewhouse and Kitchen, Nottingham. The planning and preparation for our day was spot on, and Marcus really knew his stuff, which made planning easy. He was easy to get hold of and a great communicator. We had an absolutely brilliant day, food was excellent, and plentiful, the atmosphere was relaxed but service was smooth and slick- a huge thank you to all the team who made our special day.

I held an event at the venue last night and it was a great venue.

A lovely setting on the Trent Bridge with a terrace overlooking the River. Excellent selection of beers. Particularly enjoyed the Kolsch and the house brewed pale ale. Reasonable pub grub. Bar staff very friendly and helpful.

Excellent burger, seasoned well. It’s a good portion as well. Very satisfied.

Really impressed with the beer-tasting knowledge of the guy who ran our session. He knew literally everything. I hope he is being paid a lot!! Delicious beer too. Thanks for a great afternoon

Lovely meal and great service. Good selection of kids meals and the butternut squash and brie tart was delicious. Manager on shift (Gary) was very attentive and made sure everything was great. Definitely will come back.

We were bought a beer and burger voucher for Christmas. Visited on a Friday lunchtime. Received great service. Food was delicious. Was just quiet hence 3 stars for atmosphere

We did a Whisky and Beer pairing and it was awesome. Ross was such a good host, everyone had a great time. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for something to do in Nottingham.

We visited with a large group of friends yesterday afternoon. The pub is dog friendly and the service was polite. Those are positive points that are worth mentioning. Where the disappointment comes in for me is with the quality of the food which I thought was very average and that's being polite. My partner wanted to order a fish finger sandwich and they told her they had run out of bread. That's right- run out of bread. Yet they were able to provide a burger in a bun that they could have used as an alternative for her meal. I also thought the gents toilets were a disgrace. The cubicle I managed to gain access to was filthy and wouldn't flush. The lock was also hanging off. It's a pity because it seems a really interesting pub with the brewery element attached to it. But because of yesterday's experience, it's certainly a place I wouldn't visit again. What sort of impression are they aiming for based on yesterday?

It seems like every time we go here the food gets better. First time was a Sunday lunch which was quite nice. I've since had the ribs and beer can chicken and this barbeque stuff is really where they shine really worth trying. On top of that they have their own amazing beer selection with options than most other places brewery pubs and you can tell they really have a skilled hand that's able to brew good flavours that don't smother the underlying beer tastes. What really stands out is beer of this quality in a pub the location and size of which you would expect to not have a single good ale on at all.

Visited this place the other day after a day of conferences and was very impressed with the service provided by our server Maddie! Incredibly smiley and cheery, as well as being attentive and prompt despite it being a busy night due to the football. Also I cannot overstate how tasty the lentil burger is Will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Nottingham!

Online booking showed no availability on a Sunday lunch time, but the restaurant was only 1/3 full, lots of empty tables. The service was OK but some basics missed, like not clearing the starters before delivering the main courses leading to some awkward plate juggling. And some big delays between ordering drinks and ordering food. The food itself was fine but had a distinctively mass produced feel to it. The fish and chips was awful. 80% batter 20% fish. I've had great food there in the past but this Sunday was definitely below par and certainly not worth the price.

Went for pre and post match for a Forest match. Didn't eat there but great atmosphere, service and beers! Handy location, too, right across from City Ground. Will visit again!

I took my dad to the whisky and beer tasting experience for a Christmas present, and can't recommend highly enough! It definitely exceeded my expectations - I thought it might just be some "tasting" glasses but we got a half pint of each beer and a shot of whisky for each one (with 5 of each!) plus a meal (which was anything from the menu, so lots of good options) included, so it was excellent value for money even just on that basis. Having Ross leading it really made the difference between a good event and a great one though, he really was outstanding with how informative he was while keeping it fun and interesting. So much knowledge about not only the beers and the whiskies, but the technical science of brewing, history, different types of beer - we're both still talking about everything we learned and will be for a while yet I'm sure, and keen to go along to another of the events next time. Thanks so much for making such a memorable experience, and Ross if you read this, it was woodruff ale we were trying to remember the name of!

We booked the brewhouse beer tasting and burger meal. What an enjoyable two hours! Ross was amazing, he really explained the beers well, explained the flavours and the brewing process. We loved the different flavours and the explanation of the brewing process. Ross was fab and explained the process in detail. Loved it! Great two hours well spent 🖤

It took a long time after ordering our food for it to be served. The staff were very accommodating when our group wanted to change tables as the sun was in our eyes!

Went for some pre match food. Steak was well cooked but lacked a little seasoning. Chips were very pale and anaemic sadly. Fish and chips as a whole was disappointing. Small plates had as starters were probably the best part of the meal

We’ve been here for a few drinks before and decided to try their Sunday roast. First of all, the pros - the location is great and the staff were friendly. They really tried to accommodate us when they had run out of the pork, beef and vegetarian roasts by serving something else with the roast. Unfortunately, there were multiple trips back and forwards telling us they’d run out of something, we’d order something else and they’d come back and say they were out of that too. It would have been great if you’d worked out what you were out of and let us know in one trip. We wanted to order dessert but appeared forgotten about once they’d taken our mains plates - we eventually gave up and got up to find someone to ask for the bill. Again we had multiple trips to sort the bill because we wanted to split it two ways and were told this was not possible as their system wouldn’t allow them to split it? I’ve never heard this in a restaurant - we gave up, paid in one go and left. I’m not sure I’d return for anything besides drinks.

Thursday 14th April 2022 I visited this excellent micro pub, which brews its own handpumped ales. This pub is 6 minutes' walk from Trent Bridge cricket ground Very plleasent surroundings to drink good real ale on my visit the staff so friendly and helpful and 40 p off for camra members and if weather nice it has a lovely outdoor drinking area on the river trent to drink in Saturday 18th November 2023 we again give this great real ale pub a try Again, I'm not dissapointed its more of a muchness of the above review i did earlier this year

We have been here for a brewery experience day and it was great! Ross the local brewer welcomed us very friendly, explained everything in detail and kindly answered all our questions. We enjoyed the full day with beer, food and a lot of fun. We will definitely come back.

The selection of beers, and the general styling of the place is really nice (despite the occasional whiff of hops that cross the room), but neither the bar staff and the waiting staff were that great - a bit grumpy, and somewhat incompetent; admittedly we were a table of 11, but 3 of the orders were wrong, including additional meals which we were billed for, and another 3 came out cold to the point they were sent back. The food itself was...basic... The vegan burger a lentil patty slapped into a barely dressed bun, and the fries were just over the line in terms of cooked. The non vegan options are numerous but all looked a bit beige Ultimately a nice enough place, but nothing to write home about Edit: Dont waste your time/money on desert!!

We were asked to pre-order food as there were 12 adults and one toddler, so it was not a problem. In the evening, it was asked for the child's meal to be brought out first. This didn't happen. Eleven meals were brought, and apologies for the mistake with the child's meal not arriving, I asked where my food was and I was told its coming, the child's meal then had to be sent back as it wasn't cooked properly so this was sent back to the kitchen, when it came out again I again asked where my food was and the waitress looked at me as though she had wiped me off the bottom of her shoe this was the only acknowledgement i had, when most people had done eating my food arrived overcooked, dried out and barely warm. Then, there was the total farce of trying to pay. At this point the waitress totally lost the plot, and the language used was definitely not customer friendly

Went to the pub couple weeks ago, Jack G was behind the bar and adviced me on a excellent choice of legend lager. Will be returning

In Nottingham for the NC/Wrexham game we decided to book ahead at Brewhouse for food and beer as we'd had a previously good experience there the season before. Glad to say that the experience was repeated this year, great food, great beer (especially the Tropical IPA) and the Staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble. If we're still in same league as Notts County next season we'll be back again.

I have been here many times mostly on match day as I'm not local. The food, choice of drinks and atmosphere is first class. Made my birthday extra special last week thank you so much.

We attended a brewing masterclass, lead by Grace who was very attentive & knowledgeable. Our group of 10 were lovely company too

Poor communication regarding a room that I thought I had got booked for a non-profit group; was not told that food was a pre-requirement for the booking. Service at the bar was poor, delayed and not serving people in order. I booked this for a meeting, and we moved to a booth, and we could not hear what people were saying as so noisy.

My brother and I had a brewing day experience at the Nottingham Brewhouse & Kitchen on Saturday 15th October, didn’t really know what to expect and the day exceeded all expectations. We simply had a brilliant day!! Ross the resident brewer was welcoming, really knowledgeable, encouraged us to get hands on with the brewing process and answered loads of questions. His passion for his job shone through, and helped to make this a great experience. To add to that he kept us topped up all day, from the first at 11 through to last about 6 with beers to taste, great selection from the brewery! The food (breakfast and lunch) provided in the experience was great too, as were the waiting and bar staff. The whole day was excellent, thank you Brewhouse & Kitchen and especially Ross for making this a brilliant day! If you love beer and are interested to learn more about how it is made, then this is a great day and we’d fully recommend it.

We held our wedding and reception here on 2nd Oct and the venue was incredible. Our day was perfect. The team could not have done any more for us. The food was absolutely divine. Highlight recommend for quality, service & cost. Thank you to everyone who helped make our special day absolute perfection. 😍

My husband had an absolutely fantastic 40th birthday party here at the weekend. Marcus was amazing from the start, everything was so easy to organise and plan, he answered all our questions and nothing was too much of an ask. The night itself was perfect, we had the upstairs room which is just such a fab space, I put some decorations up, but even without them it already has such a lovely vibe and atmosphere. We had our own bar upstairs and the girls who worked on it ( Lilly and Grace) were fantastic, they were just so lovely with all our guests and took care of us perfectly throughout the night. I can’t recommend this place enough

We hired out the upstairs room for a party. First of all there was only one Beer/Ale available on tap which was a 6% one that was far too strong to drink all evening. For a real ale establishment this just wasn't good enough. Secondly we ordered the sandwiches off the party menu for 80 people and whilst there was loads of food the Foccacia bread was just awful, it was dry and hard so we had so much food left over as people didn't eat. Lastly the women's toilets were a mess, there was a blockage affecting all 3 toilets, which meant it was flooded and the smell was just awful and could be smelt in the main room. We were advised to use the toilets downstairs in the main bar, which weren't great either and it meant that a couple of people in our group who had mobility issues had to use stairs (no lift or disabled toilet). The staff were great though and they did what they could to try and look after us properly but the above issues really let the place down.

Local to us and we have loved popping in for lunch and a couple of beers for some time. We decided to have a meal here for our wedding. 35 people, it was fantastic, staff grate, beer great and the food as always was so lovely. It's a lovely pub in a beautiful location. We had a small room for a family get-together to welcome some of our family visiting from Canada. It was lovely to have a room to ourselves, which also meant we weren’t disturbing other customers. We had a finger buffet - the food was very nice and there was enough of it. Good range of drinks and the staff were lovely. It’s a shame we live in Northumberland or we would have been in again!

Went for a Sunday roast, food was lovely. Staff were friendly also. The cabbage was exceptional! If you're used to 80's boiled cabbage that's been left on the stove for a year, then anything steamed is going to be an absolute fright / delight. Highly recommended

I went for something to eat at Brewhouse and was impressed with the overall experience. The food was good and the menu is quite unique, which made the experience good. We did not stay for many drinks, but there was an option to do cider and beer sampling, which looks like quite good fun. Will definitely be returning as the overall atmosphere, location and service was good.

Visited on Wednesday after the cricket, the atmosphere was warm and social with loads of beers to choose from, i went with the craft lager recommended by jack (bartender) and it was great, the happy hour prices were great too. We ordered some small plates and they were lovely too, and came with great service from jake - will definitely return

Been today for the second time since this place has been Brewhouse and it’s really good. The food isn’t restaurant fancy but it’s way better than standard pub grub, and they do a lovely grapefruit Radler which I’ve been craving since the sun has been out. Jess served us today and she was really friendly and helpful, as was the lady at the bar with the ear tunnels. Will definitely be back.

Sophie was our server and she did an excellent job when we visited last month on the 23rd. My kids and wife visited during our vacation from the USA, we met my cousin and she chose this venue, but our server made our visit, her and her friend looked after us so well had we been staying longer we would have been sure to revisit.

Toilets were really disgusting, the whole place felt quite sticky and unclean, and some of the staff on the bar were grumpy and rude (though the person who brought our food was nice). Wouldn't rush to go back.

They need door staff, it's a Friday night and homeless people kept wandering in and begging, eventually a young female staff member kicked one out after maybe 10 minutes? But then another came in and wasn't told to leave, then another too. Threatening begging and normal begging are two very different things, this was threatening. Online ordering system flawed, has items that are sold out and incorrectly tells you the kitchen is closed Food could do with something a bit more on the plate, burger was nice and good chips but still only covered half the plate. Doesn't present as good value. Was odd that their sauce came just dolloped directly onto the plate not in a pot. Would be two stars but their pork and beef burger was particularly nice, lager decent too.

Jess was brilliant and extremely helpful definitely worth another visit.

This pub was absolutely superb but something seems to have gone seriously awry since our last visit. There was not a single gluten free option available, no Coca-Cola bottles (I'm allergic to aspartame and 4pm is too early for cider). The bar staff were friendly, kind and deeply apologetic that there wasn't even a full measure of my friend's chosen tipple, seedlip. They also introduced us to a carbonated drink without synthetic sweetners called lemonaid plus but when you want cold sugar and caffeine it's just not the same. The kitchen manager fed us a line about shortages when i asked if everything was ok but the regular bar staff standing behind him were trying really hard not to roll there eyes at what was clearly a practiced and not entirely honest answer. On a Thursday afternoon you should be geared up for the weekend. We'd come to eat and settle in for a session. We'll be nipping over the road to somewhere else now.

Barman Jack was topnotch. Great bloke. 5*
