The Pudding Pantry in Nottingham

My first time visiting The Pudding Pantry today & I was so pleasantly surprised. Our server "Tyler" couldn't of looked after us any better. I'm gluten intolerant and was handed a separate menu listing all the food I could safely order. Our food was gorgeous. I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to all the staff, especially Tyler 😘

Beautifully high standard meal and drinks! Might have to be my new favourite place for brunch.

I contacted Anthony at Pudding Pantry as I wanted a special cream tea for my Mum's birthday. As my Mum was very poorly and unable to eat much I asked for a selection of very small savoury and sweet items which she would be able to enjoy together with some regular sized portions for family to have. Mum was absolutely thrilled with the selection and was able to appreciate the tiny sandwiches and part of a delicious scone and cream. During her birthday friends popped in to see her who also enjoyed the lovely cakes. This was a very special day which was truly boosted by the cream tea. Thank you all so much for all the care and attention in making the tea. See you all again soon x

Food was absolutely delicious, I had the Turkish eggs on sourdough, my daughter had pancakes, they were fluffy and delicious. Cake and coffee was also great. Can't wait to try other items from the menu next time.

Lovely store, great staff and normally great food

I had tea in some of the most well-known tearooms in London and Oxford in the last week and a half. Then, I chose The Pudding Pantry from a Google Maps search and was absolutely delighted with the food! It is imaginative, the flavors are fresh. Hands down, the best thing I’ve had to eat at any of the places I’ve been was their Raspberry Layer Cake!

We were served by the lovely Tamsin who was extremely attentive, kind and friendly :) The food came super quick and tasted amazing! I’d highly recommend this place 10/10

My partner and myself are trying different places to have breakfast every saturday, and although the staff were welcoming and polite, the breakfast is just NO. Pancakes very thick and not cooked through. Sausage were clearly just reheated as was the bacon. Cold garlic mushrooms. The latte was amazing though. But we will not be going again.

Cannot recommend the Pudding Pantry highly enough. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. There is something for everyone, from brilliant breakfasts to perfect pancakes, with much more. The drinks selection is fantastic and great quality. All this is topped off by the incredible staff. They are always friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Great for kids, families, couples or just stopping in yourself - you won’t be disappointed.

Went for the Mother’s Day afternoon tea - a fantastic visit from the start. Really friendly and helpful staff - they couldn’t do enough to help us. The food was delicious, and didn't take long to arrive - we had a gluten free and veggie afternoon tea, a children's one and some of us ate from the normal menu. There was so much food we were given boxes to take the remainder home (including the normal menu dishes). The staff were fabulous throughout the booking process - i had to ring a couple of times to make changes to the booking - but nothing was a problem to them. I cant recommend the Pudding Pantry in Sherwood enough

What can I say? This area seems to have gentrified and there seems to be a lot of boutique type establishments. The pudding pantry is typical of this area. My wife and I decided to have scrambled eggs on sourdough toast and my daughter had fluffy pancakes with fried chicken. I will say that the whole experience really good and the food was 10 out of 10. Great atmosphere friendly staff very cosy and welcoming. Keep it up.

WOW!! Best pancakes and brunch I have ever had! Staff are always welcoming and friendly, great with kids too which is rare for such a busy place! Never dissapoints, keep it up!

So, where to start? Went there for a cup of coffee and a cake, ordered a brownie for myself and salted caramel cheesecake for my friend First of all, the table was sticky for some reason like there was honey spread all around Asked for a glass of water, after drinking half of that noticed pieces of something on the inside of the glass, and the dirty milky frame around in the inside as well..nice Plus my friends cheesecake was frozen inside and the serving took far too long for this Sherwood pudding pantry is a disappointment

I used to like this place but they have since taken on a member of staff who looks at you like you are something she has stepped in. On a busy Sunday this isn't the type of person you want to be 'greeted' by. Also the place has got far worse with diners sitting and chatting long after the drinks and food have gone from their table it doesn't matter to them that others are waiting. It's a good way to lose money. I certainly won't be returning whilst this woman is there. The place isn't worth waiting to be seated. Don't believe the hype

We've been travelling the World for the past 8 months, and this place is one of the best coffee houses we have found, in all of our travels, plus, the staff were extremely obliging. As Aussie's we are a bit fussy with our coffee, but these guys nailed it, thank you.

My favourite virtual office, breakfast spot, or just just a perfect place to host a meet up with friends. Tamsin is literally the epitome of good customer service. Her team and her leadership style s are a testament to the Pudding Pantry brand. 5* all the way.

Just absolutely perfect. Food was just Aaamaazing! And the staff were so welcoming and genuinely fabulous. The service is second to none. The ambience is so cosy. Gonna make this my second home. 10/10 for wheelchair access as well.

Wonderful food- the pancakes are incredible. We also visit to join our baby class upstairs. The staff are always friendly and nothing is too much. A great space to meet with friends and babies!

I go here for mama baby bliss classes and the staff are always so lovely on arrival, they take care of our prams near the door and provide lovely drinks! Plus, they do the loveliest cornflake cake ever.

I have had afternoon tea at two other venues in Nottingham, this is my favourite for food quality. I had the vegan option as I am temporarily having to refrain from dairy, so was worried that I wouldn’t enjoy it - however it was still delicious. I have booked to go back. Four stars as although I like the venue, which is nicely decorated, I personally would prefer a bit more ambience. Also would be nice if coffee was included as a standard option on the menu.

Went for the first time today, for a friend’s birthday. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. Great variety of food and it was all absolutely delicious. Doggy bags if you want to save some for later! Really clean. We all had a great time and enjoyed it. We will definitely be back, thank you!

We visited for breakfast whilst visiting the area. Shared the Pantry Benedict pancakes and banoffee cookie dough. Both were delicious, although we could’ve done with a bit more of the cookie dough but probably just us being greedy! Service was good too. Would definitely recommend.

I ordered pantry eggs Benedict via deliveroo from pudding pantry which was yummy. Couple things to mention was the food was quite cold by the time it got to me and one of the pancakes was slightly on the rubbery side on one edge. I’m guessing this is the result of having it delivered. My partner had the homemade beans and cheddar on sourdough and it was warmer but the sourdough was soggy. Flavours were great and can’t wait to go and eat in the shop.

Had the French toast and it was beautiful!! Massive portion and left feeling full. Staff were friendly too. Would recommend.

The pudding pantry is a must if you are in Nottingham, the service was amazing as was the food. We had the vegan option and it was all so very tasty. The cakes looked to die for if we had any space left we would of tired some but we will leave this for the next visit.

I’ve been to the pudding pantry a few times now, and every time it’s simply perfect. It feels like a special occasion every time we go, even when it’s a simple Sunday brunch. It’s great to see a business in 2023 which is still great value, whilst using all local suppliers. Ps the kinder cookie pie is a must 😍

Went here for a friends birthday. It was fantastic, I don’t do fish and an alternative was supplied. The sausage rolls were fab. The everything was delicious. I think my favourite was the mini Eton mess. Lisa who served us was also fabulous. Super attentive but not overly interfering! Great all round and bought extras to take away.

Friendly cheerful dining. Food is of a high quality with great veggie/vegan options. Desserts are superb.

The first time we ever dined in was such a wonderful treat—we had only ever had afternoon tea delivered, so hadn't had food from the main menu. We ordered pancakes for the kids and we had the pulled pork hash and eggs benedict—the pancakes were nearly the size of the plate, even for the kids, and the eggs benedict was next level. The coffee was proper, the service was spot on, and it was just a brilliant brunch. We love to stop by for their massive milkshakes, their second-to-none pumpkin spice latte, coffees, and cakes—it's perfect for a break whilst shopping the high street or a cheeky treat! The second time we went in for brunch, the coffee and service were still amazing, but we left a bit deflated as the food was inconsistent. We ordered pancakes for the kids and the eggs benedict again, but the pancakes were at least half the size that they were the first time on all the dishes. You can see the difference for yourself in the photos—same sized plates, very different sized pancakes. We were so excited to have another amazing brunch, but the stark difference in portion size made it feel like they were out of pancake batter and couldn't be bothered to make more—so it not only felt disappointing, but it felt like we weren't getting the same value for money. The treats and cakes are always exciting and delicious, so it didn't stop us taking some away to enjoy at home—but it did have us wondering if it would be a while before we would take a chance on dining in again anytime soon. We're hoping hoping hoping it was a fluke because we want to love everything about The Pudding Pantry, so I'll update this review once we get around to giving it another go x x

What a lovely afternoon tea today! The food came presented in a bird cage. It was delicious and fresh! There were lots of customers coming in and having a mixture of dishes. The staff were friendly and welcoming!!

Consider for your wedding cake! We were so pleased we chose Pudding Pantry Sherwood to make our wedding cake. It was exactly as we requested and out of all the quotes we received for wedding cakes, the most reasonably priced. Delivery to our wedding venue on the day was exactly as we requested and communication throughout was superb. We enjoyed the cake and so did the guests.

Excellent selection of tasty cakes and drinks including some good vegan options. Pancakes are also a favourite!

We turned up for some ice cream for my little boys birthday. We have a number of allergies and the staff went to extra lengths to ensure we had fresh untouched ice cream, didn’t bat an eye lid when I asked if they could re-wash the utensils. They went above and beyond. We go here for pudding all the time and every single time the staff have bent over backwards to ensure we feel safe. I cannot recommend them enough, no ask to great, absolutely best service in Nottingham, best value for money and all round fantastic place.

Really not worth it. Took my daughter for breakfast - the fried eggs were poorly cooked and raw on top, my daughters poached eggs were also badly cooked and her pancakes were also raw in the middle. The manager made absolutely no effort to even ask us about our meal I had to bring it up when I paid at the counter. Very poor customer relations and the food was not well cooked. Won't bother again

Awful! Just awful. Don’t even bother spending your money here. The cakes are disgusting. We took a lemon meringue blondie and a red velvet cheesecake brownie home and they were absolutely vile.

Absolutely shocking place to eat! I ordered the eggs Benedict and the pancakes were raw and cold and the eggs on mine and my mums dishes were raw! We told them about it but just got told that they were too busy to deal with it. We paid the bill and left. I went in a couple of weeks later with my partner and we had the pork hash and it’s 100% frozen produce and not fresh. The brownies are more like a chocolate cake, not a brownie and it does not taste of salted caramel in the slightest. I’ve tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but will not be going back and I will be telling others not to spend their hard earned money there. Absolutely pathetic!

Food was amaizing. Pancakes outta this world. If you are in town make sure to come to Sherwood pudding pantry. Stuff get 5 star for thier lovely service especially Beth thank u for a wonderful experience.

The beautiful wedding cake that you made us for our special day was stunning and tasted even better than it looked. The suggestions made and questions asked while designing really made the cake personal to us. All of our guests were amazed at how well the colours matched the colour scheme of our day and I was touched by the baker checking in with me the day before to ensure the flowers were acceptable when the planned ones weren’t available. Both flavours of cake were delicious - everyone loved the lemon and the salted caramel sauce was to die for! Thank you again Helen & Alan

We decided to go to Pudding pantry for lunch as previously we’ve only visited for deserts on an evening, we was led to be dissatisfied. I ordered the bacon sandwich on sour dough bread to which I fount doughy and very small portions with bacon. My boyfriend had a bacon and sausage sandwich which arrived without the bacon as requested. When we brought this up with our server we was giving 2 rashes of bacon around 5 mins after mentioning this. The environment was Farley noisy with lots of staff appearing to stand around. I do not think I would visit again.

Just got back from lunch for 8. Everyone enjoyed their food. Great gluten free menu - always much appreciated. Brilliant friendly staff. Thank you. I'm sure we'll be back.

We hired the upstairs room for bottomless brunch for my hen do and it was great! Server Manny was a great laugh. Delicious food! Absolutely recommend.

We hired the upstairs private for for a bridal shower afternoon tea. The setup was amazing! The room looked lovely and they allowed us to add our own decorations. There were 13 of us in the end and they were so accommodating. One person had allergy requirements so they allowed her to order off of the brunch menu separate to the afternoon tea and one person couldn't come so they allowed us to takeaway that afternoon tea. Beth was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble and she came to check on us regularly and helped us take some group photos. Would definitely recommend it, I go quite frequently for food but this was the first afternoon tea I have had their and cannot fault the food it was all delicious!

Booked a baby shower for the hottest day of the year so far but the venue was lovely and cool thanks to air conditioning ip and downstairs. Our guests all an amazing time and the food was perfect. They catered for vegetarians with interesting options, which is a bonus! Beth was amazing in her service and nothing was too much trouble. She came up and down frequently to refill drinks and water bottles for the table and made sure everything was just as we wanted. Beth and Manny set up and they did a fantastic job making it look perfectly elegant. It was so easy to work with them when setting up our personal decorations as well. Would definitely recommend holding your event in the upstairs space at sherwood.

Had a voucher given for my birthday, first time at pudding pantry & it won’t be the last amazing! I hadn’t sorted out the code needed for my voucher but Tamzin looked after us & did it, food was outstanding, had a brunch breakfast, first time trying pancakes with bacon maple syrup, loved it. Had pudding as well also delicious, portion size great, couldn’t move afterwards! Shout out to Tamzin for looking after us, we’ve told friends & family about you & sent photos, we will be back!

We took the grandchildren here, as a treat. It was quite busy, and we were told we'd have to wait 15 minutes for a table, which was ok. When a table became available, we were shown to it but then left alone - the girl showed some other people to tables and didn't come back to us to take our order. We had to call her. We chose a filter coffee, a lemonade, 2 Cokes. Desserts were pancakes for the children, and Mississipi Mud Pie for my husband and me. Our desserts were probably the worst I've ever had, anywhere. A thin layer of biscuit, with SOLID, rock-hard chocolate, and squirty cream on top, plonked on a dollop of mousse. NOT a Mississipi Mud Pie at all. It was so hard, a spoon wouldn't break it. The grandchildren finished mine off. The bill, for 4 drinks and 4 desserts was almost £40. Not worth it, and we won't go there again.

Arrived on Sunday morning for a bottomless brunch for a friend's birthday treat. When we sat at the table the water glasses were filthy and, as you can see in the picture, had crusty food attached. The glasses were quickly replaced when I raised it. The meal continued fine until the pudding arrived and my daughter pulled out plastic from the mouthful of the cookie dough she had eaten! I certainly wouldn't recommend this place after this. Did you can't be sure the glasses are clean what else is dirty, and for there to be plastic in the food!!!! That's just disgusting. We complained... We got a discount of the price of the pudding and offered a replacement. There wasn't that much of an apology and I'd of expected the manager to come and apologise in person but nothing of the sort. Totally wouldn't recommend if you value health and safety.

I booked the upstairs room for my sister in laws baby shower. From first contact, communication was great, answering any questions and ensuring dietary requirements and allergies were dealt with. On the day, we were so impressed with the room, it is decorated beautifully and perfect for an afternoon tea gathering. The food was lovely and there was so much, everyone went home with a box of cakes as we couldn't eat it all. The service and staff were Fab. Definitely would recommend

We were greeted by friendly staff who advised it would be a few minutes wait for the table. The venue itself is quite noisy but pleasantly decorated. We had a "freak shake" - salted caramel topped with a brownie. Contained A LOT of whipped cream...

Never disappoints every time I go. Savoury food is fresh and tasty. Coffee is good. The cakes are a good size and delicious. Freak shakes are a huge treat! Service always friendly. Pram friendly.

I'm a regular visitor to the sherwood pudding pantry and decided to take my mum for breakfast as she hadn't been before. I always have the same breakfast without fail and my mum also ordered the same. We both had American pancakes with blueberries /bacon with maple syrup. When the food was given to us my mums bacon was all stuck together in a clump and very under cooked, my bacon was completely the opposite being too crispy. Also I had 4 of the smallest blueberries I have ever seen. My mum had around 6 but again the size of them was tiny compared to the next table who had the same as a much larger quantity and bigger berries. We asked for the bacon to be cooked more and I just made do. We also asked if we could have some better berries as compared to other customers we didn't feel that ours was satisfactory. Mid way through eating the pancakes we needed some more syrup, asked the staff member if was possible to have more syrup and she gave us some. The pancakes are quite large and the very small pot of syrup never really is enough for the size of them! Anyway we continued our breakfast and asked for the bill to then find out we had been charged nearly £11 in extras! We had been charged for more berries and more syrup. We questioned it and was left waiting ages for someome to get back to us, the lady said she would refund us £2. I'm so disappointed as what we was given was not usually what we get and to never be told that the extras were chargeable was quite a shock. I don't believe we should have been charged for the fruit when we wasn't given the same as other tables in the first place. We will not be returning as this has completely put me and my mum off.

This is a an awesome brunch spot. I really enjoyed my eggs benedict with smoked salmon and pancakes. The only thing was the hollandaise had split a little but everything else was perfect! My aunt had the veggie full English which had delicious homemade beans. My grandmother the scrambled eggs and toast perfectly cooked. The sourdough bread great quality. We just regretted the trip down to London without a slice of their delicious cake. What a shame. Their cake selection is vast and unique such as lemon meringue blondies. The ice cream selection is great too lots to choose from in summer!

Ordered via Deliveroo as heard this place was great for brunch. Pancakes were so yummy! Coffe was a bonus that it was great too.

Waiting time around 30+ minutes, food was slightly cold, especially mushrooms (they were actually freezing cold). We also ordered some coffee, however we didn’t even finish it as it was probably brewed with the use of old coffee beans - you could easily tell that by the sour taste of it. We were waiting for the bill more than 10 minutes, while the person who we asked for it and who was serving us was serving other people - next to our table. We had to go to the counter to ask to pay the bill there, as we didn’t want to wait any longer.

Had a really lovely meal on Pancake Day at the Pudding Pantry. Second time eating there, the coffee is divine, and food is delicious, but the best thing is the service with a smile, especially from the very lovely Mannie who made our day.
