The Lawrence Restaurant in Nottingham

Comimos aquí como habíamos reservado en el hotel. Para la cena tuvimos un subsidio de 28 personas por persona. El servicio del restaurante era bueno, el frente del personal era educado y amable y nos sentamos en nuestro tiempo asignado. Teníamos un aperitivo cada uno y estaban bien presentados y sabrosos. Mi esposa tenía el medio pollo asado y había un montón en el plato, ella no podía manejarlo todo. El pollo no estaba seco en absoluto y lo calificó muy alto. Por otro lado, el mío, que había pedido el bistec de Bavette, estaba bien. Era difícil de cortar incluso con un cuchillo de carne y era muy duro, aunque se cocinaba a fuego medio. No creo que vuelva a ordenar esto. Prefiero pagar el extra e ir por un mejor corte de carne como el solomillo o el chuletón. Esto no es una crítica al restaurante en sí, sino a la calidad del bistec. El servicio era bueno, ya que estaban atentos y siempre se aseguran de que todo estuviera bien. El pastel de queso que mi esposa tenía era muy bueno. Recomendaría este lugar para comer.

El almuerzo ligero se incluyó con la oferta del día de spa y se sirvió en el restaurante del hotel. Un bar tipo buffet incluía sopa, ensaladas, algunas comidas principales y postres calientes, café / té también estaba disponible. Mucha variedad y muy bien presentado.

I really liked this restaurant, the service was amazing, the food was delicious and the bill matched the standards.

Mi fuente para compartir se sirvió en una baldosa. Básicamente un ataque de corazón congelado de una pieza de piso. ¡Fue terrible! ¡El café para el desayuno ahora está en una máquina que es similar a los estándares de la posada principal y los precios del vino son impactantes!

El personal fue muy profesional y hizo que mi hijo se sienta a gusto. La comida es excelente, sin embargo bistec era bastante caro para la calidad.

Éramos un grupo de cuatro y luchamos por encontrar la comida que nos gustaba en el menú. Un miembro de nuestro grupo tenía alergia al ajo y terminó con un filete y patatas fritas, no es barato a los 27 y, aunque pidió un par de verduras en el lado que terminó con un puñado de ensalada verde. Si no eres quisquilloso con los comensales, entonces probablemente esté bien. La comida estaba muy bien presentada, pero el tamaño de la porción es pequeño y la comida estaba caliente en vez de caliente.  ¡La lubina era pequeña! Nos aventuramos fuera del hotel para una comida la noche siguiente.

Rib-eye steak and chips was excellent, cooked exactly right. Quick but unhurried service, just right. Breakfast was also yummy.

You have to try it to believe it , and the service is second to non. Staff always seemed so happy and pleasant. The Lamb and blade of beef were cooked to perfection

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and been disappointed with the food. Very unsatisfactory. Will eat out if I ever come back.

Good choice too choose from, staff very friendly, no complaints at all. If in area again would go again

Came here with a work colleague as we was staying in the hotel. The food was excellent, very tasty! The only downfall with it was the service, my colleague ordered a burger with cheese and onion rings and when it came there was any cheese or onion rings on the order so she told them, I had finished my meal and was still waiting for hers to arrive! In the end I think it was the manger sorted it out after waiting for so long! He gave us a complimentary drink each and took hers off the bill. This is the only thing that let them down! The desserts where really good too.

I couldn't think of a better way to end our day at the Nottingham Belfry than to have a three course meal at the Lawrence. The food was brilliant and the staff couldn't be more helpful getting us anything we wanted even going out to get a different cheese for my husband's cheese board at the end! A huge thank you to Jamie, our wonderful waiter, who gave excellent recommendations, was always smiling and seemed to know everything about the whole menu. Thoroughly enjoyable evening thank you so much.

We stayed in the hotel last night .We had dinner in the restaurant as well as breakfast. Dinner was lovely the staff were very prompt with water and our drinks orders. We ordered fishcake and goats cheese to start and lamb shank for main .The food was delicious good sized portions and reasonably priced. Staff were attentive .

Really enjoyed dining in the restaurant and the food was lovely had steak the first night which was cooked to perfection and belly pork the next night and it was even better. The staff were fab was served by Alex and Liam and although they are young their maturity and professionalism was a credit to the company.

Had lunch, dinner and then breakfast here as stayed in the hotel and food was delicious every time! Staff were welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable to be able to direct me to the food I would enjoy the most - and they were right! The timings between courses was perfect, food temp was brilliant and all in all I had three great meals!

Kept waiting for 45 minutes. The two dishes we ordered were inedible. The gnocchi looked like it had come out of a packet and had a tin of mushroom soup poured over it. Customers on either side of us complained also The staff were untrained.

I stay with my husband at least every 6 to 8 weeks as a one night getaway and we look forward to the lovely dining experience in the evening. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff are trained very well, more like 5 star, and so...

Wanted to book a table for 7.45 but told we could only be fitted in at 7.30 or 9.00. Opted for 7.30. Arrived to find a nearly empty restaurant which stayed more or less at that level all evening so couldn't understand why only 7.30...

Had a Christmas meal here last December at a tenner a head. Three course meal consisting of a starter, a main and a dessert. The starter was Salmon with rocket pesto which was quite nice if you could find the salmon. The main was roast...

Great Breakfast choice and good variety to choose from staff are all friendly and service was very good.

Not so good at breakfast where food fine but staff under pressure and hence some errors in serving customers

Service was perhaps a bit slow but we were there for the evening, so it did not matter that we were not rushed

Limited options and choices for veggies. Tables also very close together so not much privacy. Lovely deserts though

Lawrence Restaurant 3rd August 2014, Dinner 7.30pm.Greeted by Michael, the highly professional and friendly Restaurant Manager, we were shown to our table.The menu provided an excellent choice, catering for all tastes. Welcomed by the beautiful and charming Antexla from Tirana, she proceeded to take our order.We selected the Crab and Coriander Fish Cakes for our starter and being slightly seasoned were just delicious.Our main course of Spinach and Ricotta Tortellini with Celery and Shallot Sauce was beautiful and creamy.We concluded with the Poached English Pear with Cherry Clafoutis, Blackcurrant Sauce and Yoghurt Ice Cream for our dessert, this signature dish not only looked stunning but tasted amazing! Been here tonight in the Lawrence restaurant. Don't mind paying for something special but not over the top pricing.Meagre portion of scallops = £10 each10oz Rib eye = £23/5Small Sea Bass £16 approx.Hand cut chips turned out to be a jacket potato cut into chunksTotal bill with 2 pints came to £76+

BE WARNED!! Spending £36.00 per head on a Christmas Party Meal does NOT guarantee quality here at the Belfry. If I was the chef (laughable) I would certainly hand in my resignation post Friday 13th after the disgusting food that was served up to many on that night.An absolute embarrassment. If you can't do it BELFRY then stop offering it !!
