Super friendly young staff, with quality coffee. Surf and skate vibe - with a fun half pipe at one end . Great views out over the beach . Tame wild rabbits hopping about happily. It’s actually a church on Sundays too.

This is above the beach at Polzeath, well worth the short walk up the hill. There is outside seating to enjoy the elevated view over the beach. Tried a vegan peanut nut butter choc brownie which was really nice. Good coffee too.

Staying in Padstow and very disappointed with the coffee on offer as I am very fussy. So pleased to have found this venue. Not only was the espresso excellent (bold and interesting) it’s a really comfortable place to sit back and relax. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and my wife enjoyed her sourdough toast and tea. Definitely will be returning!

Spent a few weeks in Polzeath and very much enjoyed the food, drink and atmosphere at Tubestation. The staff are excellent, efficient and above all friendly. The 'Tube' had a variety of clientele whilst I visited, including: walkers; surfers; locals; holiday makers; families with young and not so young children. All ages seemed to be attracted and I will be back. Thank you Abi and Harry!

6 of us visited during busy October half term. There are plenty of outside tables and it’s quite spacious inside with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The menu is fairly limited but from what we experienced good quality. There was a special on which looked great - a vegetarian curry. We opted for the the toasted sandwiches which were excellent. Obviously good cheese which is unusual in a toasted sandwich. The drinks all came together with good reviews from the recipients - although the black americano was quite weak, so have a double shot. The service was friendly and efficient. Unbelievably there is a skateboard ramp inside 😀.

Lovely ambiance and atmosphere. The main attraction of this cafe for me was the spacious garden area. There were plenty of benches but also the facility to sit on the grass. It was very relaxed and the staff were polite and friendly. I was also impressed by the sign that said “ you can consume your own food if you wish”. Inside the decor was eclectic and there were also plenty of seating areas. Toilets were immaculate. Dog friendly too. An oasis in a very busy Polzeath.

We have been coming for years and would always have scored it five so hopefully today is an exception. Young man serving dropped a scone on the floor. He put it to one side. (Well done) Then as I was waiting when he thought noone was looking he put it back on the serving shelf with the fresh ones. When I challenged him he virtually ignored me. I spoke with the manager who said she had dealt with it. My concern is that I spotted it but what about when noone is looking. Really disappointed and left feeling very uncertain about standards. As i said real shame after years of satisfaction. He really let thd side and more importantly himself down.

Ordered 3 sandwiches, one soup & 2 cappuccinos. First thing to note - it’s take away only, with some tables set out in the garden for customer use. This is fine, in the current circumstances, but at £6.50 each I expected a bit more than a sandwich in a paper bag. After waiting ten minutes the sandwiches were presented by a young lady who simply said ‘we’ve no soup’. Had I known this at the point of order and payment (or before the sandwiches arrived) we would have gone elsewhere, as options are very limited (again understandable). I was asked if I wanted anything else. Not wanting to cause a fuss in handing back all the sandwiches, I asked for a scone - without the cream and jam, as this was my lunch. The scones are priced at £4 with jam & cream or as I discovered later, 2 for £5. When the scone was given to me, I questioned if I should be charged £4 for just a scone with butter. The guy behind the till, who was aware of the soup issue said ‘you don’t want jam and cream?’ I said no and he said - yes that’s the correct amount. At no point did he tell me we could have two for five pounds. I must say I really don’t mind paying for good food, but when I opened my box, I discovered a scone which had been nuked in the microwave with a few packs of cheap butter. It was very poor - soft in most areas and crunchy / over microwaved in other spots. We left feeling that this venue is not overly concerned about customer service, value for money or quality as the majority of their footfall is from one time visitors.

My wife and I were the only customers and we ordered two sandwiches and two coffees. The sandwiches were made very quickly from scratch by a lady in the kitchen and my wife took them outside while I waited for the coffees. And I waited and waited and waited! The young woman who took our order was near the coffee machine and I assumed she was making our coffees. But I stood there, the solitary customer in the place, for what must have been almost 10 minutes. Then a young lad appeared and she said something to him and he very quickly presented me with a coffee. I pointed out that I had ordered two coffees. She said “oh, yeah. £2.75”. I said “so you haven’t charged for the other coffee?”. She said “no” without any apology.I am still fuming about it now, a week later. I was perfectly pleasant and polite to her but she gave the impression she didn’t want to be there and that customers were a nuisance. I really hope she gets sacked. There are plenty of people who deserve a job and she isn’t one.

We visited the Tubestation today after having a quick look on TripAdvisor for the best places to eat in Polzeath- we were not disappointing! A converted chapel, the inside is quirky and fun (you can't resist taking a few snaps...) and feels very homely. We ordered the special of the day (Moroccan veg stew) which was delicious- reasonably priced and generous portions. The menu choice is fairly limited for lunch (one hot food option and a few sandwich options) so might be worth bearing in mind if you have fussy eaters- although this might be because we visited on a Friday out of season. Either way, we loved the food and would definitely come back. The stew tasted and looked homemade with big chunky pieces of vegetables and made great comfort food for a rainy day. We also enjoyed a swing on the hammocks outside (even in the rain!). A fun place to visit and definitely one of the most memorable cafes I've been to.

As good as the reviews suggest. The cafe has a great surfy vibe to it & has a skate ramp which may annoy some but was a great feature. It was obviously a Christian place but I am an atheist and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The drinks were great & fairtrade coffee. I had s cheese and ham toastie which was excellent and my wife ate a bulgar wheat salad with chickpeas which was Devine. We took some cakes away which were also excellent. I can't really comment much on the quality of the coffee or the staff. The overriding factor that defined our visit was that some genius has decided to put a skateboard ramp inside. Whilst this may seem trivial, picture someone banging a but of wood on the floor every 5 seconds or so. Whilst it undoubtedly entertained a couple of teenagers, it ensured that noone else could make any sort of conversation.

We stumbled upon Tubestation when visiting Polzeath and I'm so happy we did. It had a lovely, welcoming and relaxed vibe - music, sofas, skateboarding ramp (yes, really!) - you can even bring your own food if you want, not that I would because their menu was great. Lunch was really lovely and very reasonably priced. Tubestation has a Christian ethos and is apparently a thriving church community but all are welcome irrespective of their faith (or no faith). We certainly felt very at home. This place is a real gem.

From the outside the Tubestation looks an unassuming building but inside it is full of warmth, with a relaxing ambience and friendly staff/volunteers.This is run on a christian ethos without pushing it at you. You are free to bring your own food and drink in but why would you want to do that when their prices are so reasonable! With comfy chairs, free wi-fi and laptop access, skate run, book shelf, outside seating overlooking the beach etc it makes a refreshing change from the many profit driven, look alike, heavily marketed cafes you are likely to visit (or have visited) and then quickly forget. This concept is great for both families, singles and couples who want a relaxing break-their cream tea is lovely as well. What do you think of when you think of a church? I can guarantee it isn't skateboards, surfing videos, cappuccinos and comfy sofas. It's unlikely to contain many people wearing rip curl and discussing the waves. Polzeath took a chance with this venture and it seems to work. The prices are reasonable, the service is good, facilities are also good. And they are not preachy. Having been dragged up and forced to attend a cold building with hard pews when a child I hold an aversion to churchianity but all that was missing here. There's no collection plates, no pushiness or trying to save my soul when all I asked for was a flapjack. They also operate as a church and I am told that their services are very popular. They also coordinate Christian surfer competitions which appear to be popular. Happy to recommend.

Such a warm welcome, totally relaxing overlooking the beach at Polzeath. Screens showing inspirational surfing scenes as well as great music. A good selection of snacks and soft sofas to chill out. Outside is a lovely seating area and soft bean bags to curl up on. Nothing quite like it anywhere, a MUST visit, hope it just keeps on doing everything right!

In all my time going into coffee shops and the like I've never been told that """Hey there's some records there (pointing to about 20 vinyl LP's! On and a turntable !How cool is that? I thought !! He said, it doesn't matter which you choose as we love em all!The coffee was excellentThe bacon sarnie mmmmmmm! (With ketchup !)Surf DVDs showing on tv screensA skate rampComfy big bean bagsLoved the eclectic mix of old church chairs painted. I particularly liked the chair that looked like an artists pallet! I now pause whilst i reflect on my experience there.............Ohhhhhh Yeah! This is a great place. No matter what you beliefs, the sheet friendliness is a rare thing and you should not pass this place by. This is a tube station that unlike one in London , you can be shoulder to shoulder and feel relaxed & happy .Christian Surfers, this is brilliant !I'll / we'll be back!Cool!

A family and pet friendly cafe. The food is tasty and fresh with a selection of irresistible cakes. Friendly staff. Good up beat music. Bean bags and sofas as well as tables and chairs. The outside area has amazing views. Inside can be a little noisy when the skateboard ramp is being used but it is good to watch.

We stumbled across this venue while on holiday looking for something different, certainly was bit old fashioned, staff were very polite and the food area was clean, well worth going will call again very interesting place

Very friendly and no pressure to buy a lot to be able to relax there. Sofa's, beanbags, tables and chairs, inside or out in the marquee. I am gluten free and they knew enough to check the stock when I went. It wasn't completely Gf so I just had a good coffee. The sandwiches and soup looked great though. I went in each day to get coffee, read or check emails and relax. When Wimbledon was on it was a good place to see that on the screens while having time out from the beach. When the young lads use the skate ramp it gets a bit noisy, but music is good and there is the option of the marquee or the garden or terraces too, all with great views of the beach.

Visted the Tubestation several times whilst on holiday in Cornwall. It is such a welcoming place to relax with a snack (Phil, your pea and mint soup was fabulous ). Great location overlooking the beach. Whilst the menu is limited it is still the best place in Polzeath to go for a coffee or a light lunch. Great service from really lovely staff.

Absolutely wonderful visit. The cream tea was the best I think I’ve ever had. Warm scones, huge pot of cream and delicious jam, must be homemade. The tea was piping hot and came with an additional tea bag should you like it strong.

Haven't stayed, but excellent range of well-kept cask ales including normally a couple from Penzance Brewing Co in Crowlas, near Penzance.

What a gem! We had no idea where to go for lunch but chose the shed; a great choice! The steak was so good and the sole cooked to perfection. Great wine, appetisers and dessert to boot. Fantastic value and the service was great Thank you so much.
