The food is top notch I got the prawn curry or was amazing also they put loads of prawns in the curry which is amazing, best chippy ever.

The chippy we normally go to was closed so we thought we would try somewhere new and wow the portions are big and the food is delicious we had beef curry chips, fish and chips, chip balm 2 tubs curry and peas we definitely wasn't disappointed. Definitely this is our new chip shop

Quick service but people jumping the cue. Mixed grill vile. Liver nice. Chipy and curry not bad. Rice curry not too bad either. Feel sick. I won't be going again.

We shared curried beef fried rice, and portion of chips, enough food and delicious, will be making this our regular take away

Got chicken satay here didn't look anything like a satay satay is a peanut and chilli sauce it should be yellow in color not like gravy it was bland with a few green peppers in and onion need to get a proper Chinese chef definitely not going here again

Not a bad chippy it's a shame about the meat spring rolls no meat in them should advertise as empty spring rolls plus they are not friendly they are like drill sergeants got a cheek really

Disappointing. Ordered crispy duck x2 and ribs x2 portions. Ribs tough in parts and the crispy duck came with pancakes but no sauce no cucumber and no spring onions. Thankfully we had our own sauce so just had that. The rest of our order was okay but we’ve had better in the past. It was extremely busy ( Father’s Day) but that’s no excuse.

Staff are extremely rude and have no fvckin manners. Attitude stinks and for that alone ill never eat from these people.

First time here and would definitely come back my food was superb came with my brother in law he lives here I don't but definitely revisit next time I am up here only thing we got two mains rice and noodles but had to buy prawn crackers my local gives crackers for free evan for one person just do a smaller bag apart from that great

The rudeness out of one certain staff member as she slammed the calculator on the counter was so so awful to me & my daughter. I only asked the price of 'hot & sour soup an some fried rice with curry on' £9.20 but then when i got home it was all separate the fried rice had big chunks of horrie onion in (like the review on here) & peas both what my daughter didn't like, i got a actual carton of curry too so this explained why the price. There was really no need to speak to us that way! The only nice thing was the curry sauce my soup have about 3 pieces of small meat and was not hot or spicy! So disappointed in this chippy. I will be checking all reviews before i ever return to tsos

A good place to eat and the staff ar friendly

This has been fantastic for years, after you het over the rudeness of sone if the staff but recently the foods gone downhill. Massive chunck of onion and cheap chicken thrown ovwr the fried rice. If your using cheap chicken atleast have the decency to mix it in the rice. Sad really, was such a lovely place once up on a time

Absolutely cannot believe what myself and my husband witnessed afew nights ago outside of Tsos Chinese Chippy !! The manager - clearly very unprofessional and cold hearted - no heart whatsoever has taken it upon himself it seems to what I can only describe as taunting the poor homeless man who sits outside in between the chippy & the off license. As far as my self and my husband are aware we witnessed the man (if you can call him a man more like a coward) deciding to place himself sat down next to the homeless man and say to him ' Im going to sit here next to you untill you move' in other words he was trying everything possible to stop this young man from gaining whatever money he can raise in order to stay another night in his hostel.. which is what he does near enough every night, me , my husband & afew others we know who give him spare change when ever we can as we have known him a fair while now have decided that we will no longer be visiting Tsos establishment as we don't want to pay for food from somewhere as unethic and disgusting behaviour from the manger or owner whatever he calls himself !! My estimations of the place and himself have really gone down to like zero after this, what kind of a person acts the way he did? It isn't right & god forbid if he has any children and for any reason any of them ended up on the streets it will be a big fat kick in the teeth for him... If you the manager of Tsos reads this you ought to be absolutely 100% ashamed of yourself... Your lucky because omeone else witnessing what you did to that poor man and how much you embarrassed him may not have been so nice to you as alot of people in this world actually do care about people who are genuinely on the streets due to no fault of their own.. he's doing no physical harm to yourself or your business and no one has complained your just clearly a very nasty & selfish horrible man who cares for one thing only -YOURSELF. Also may I add and I've been wanting to say something about another issue for a good year or so but I couldn't be bothered causing a fight in your Chippy 😊 Don't know what her problem is at all but one of the Chinese ladies who works in Tsos has always got a face on her like I've had a poo in her cornflakes & she looks and speaks to the customers including myself as if shes a £1000000 pound net worth model compared to then and were all scum.. alot of people especially women have said the exact same thing about her and how she treats customers and the way she looks down on them. Well im telling you now right I won't be coming in there again BUT ... If I hear one more thing about her from any of my girl - friends ever again il be coming in with my boxing gloves on and il punch her head in 😊😊

One staff member showed open discrimination to a disabled customer and she mocked them publicly. I was shocked and saddened that this woman showed such hatred towards another human who also happens to be an NHS worker. This staff member should be fired

When the staff arnt shouting at you or the queues arnt out the door the food is really nice, shame they have changed the gravy but still a solid 8 out 10

Drive past this chippy a lot going the cemetery so thought give it a visit loads if people in there so that’s good food was absolutely gorgeous ribs fell off the bone barbecue sauce was fab most certainly be going back thanks 😊

Absolutely discusted after the experience I have just had in this Chinese! I ordered fried rice, seshwan sauce and prawn crackers. It came to £7 something and I asked how much the fried rice was and they said £4.30 I said oh no your OK thanks I will just have my money back for that please, I had just ordered so didn't think it would be a problem and I was really nice about it. The women behind the counter went to the kitchen started shouting then turned round and started shouting at me! I said I just wanted my money back and I still wanted the sauce and prawn crackers. The way she spoke was absolutely shocking! So glad there was no one else there as I would have been so embarrassed! I will never step foot in there again. No apology or anything from the woman shocking customer service. Wants to learn some manners and to speak to people in a professional manner!

Spring rolls were tasteless they only had carrot in nothing else, weird. Char sui fried rice, meat in chunks that were chewy and it was full of huge onions. Not to my liking.

Best Chinese chippy in the area by far. All meals are lovely, especially the sweet and sour chicken. Even when very busy you don't wait too long for your order, staff are very efficient.

Fantastic chip shop during normal times. BUT......WONT BE VISITING IT AGAIN DURING COVID RESTRICTIONS. NOT A SAFE PLACE........VISITED TONIGHT .....notice on window. ...only 2 people allowed in at any time. I counted 13 inside the shop with MANY NOT WEARING MASKS.

Food is typical Chinese chippy food. The quality of the food is really good, however its let down by the staff being quite rude and ignorant. They will leave you stand there waiting to be served, refusing to look in your general direction or simply acknowledge your existence. When they do take your order they won't make eyes contact and leave you with the feeling they're not listening. Waiting can be long and parking can be a nightmare.

The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I don’t live in this area but I visited here a couple of weeks ago with my friend a d decided to come back as a Mother’s Day treat. We ordered the banquet for 3 and it was delicious. There was plenty of food to go round a d it was all full of flavour. I would recommend the chicken in cashew it was lovely. We ordered ribs as an extra accompaniment and they was full of meat and fell off the bone, really nice sauce too. Inside the shop is spotlessly clean, you can see the ladies cleaning as they work. I would recommend this takeaway to anyone we likes a good Chinese meal at really cheap prices. Our order only came to £35 and that was for soup, spring rolls, salt and pepper chicken wings, chicken in cashew, 2 charsui fried rice, beef in black bean sauce, sweet and sour pork, prawn crackers and bbq ribs. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for making my mum a happy lady x ❤️

I ordered over the telephone and when I got home the meal was covered in soy sauce which I neither asked for or wanted. Couldn't tell you what the food taste like.

Moved back into the area after 5 years away , I was only a child when this place opened and it was always my favorite place to eat . BUT I have to say the food was awful ( special foo young had 2 prawns 4 small pieces of chicken , and nothing else ) , The portions was very small . They have fallen a long way down from what it was :( . Does not look like it has changed in 20 years . I will not be coming back at all . Very let down ......

They take your order that quick over the phone they have no idea what you are asking for. The never have your food ready then they rush when you arrive and give you the wrong food. Will not be going back

This was our first time here , we were visiting our daughter and this is her local chippy. We has salt and pepper chips, curry, egg fried rice and salt and pepper chicken pieces. Very tasty.

Me dieron una fideos singapur desde aquí. Para empezar, las porciones eran enormes, así que un montón de sabor perdido. Se podría haber alimentado a 3 en la cual una porción es una pérdida cuando sólo uno es comer. En segundo lugar las verduras era gruesa y mal cocida, aunque positivo no mucho aceite fue utilizado casi cualquier carne o gambas. Creo que voy a volver a patatas fritas y salsa si comer aquí de nuevo.

This is our local chippy. We have had lovely food from here. The portion sizes are huge and the Chinese food is delicious.

Es tan agradable y tan local que hace años, mi familia ordenados para nuestra cena de navidad y tuvimos un día de descanso de navidad. Visitar a la familia en Liverpool después de un día ajetreado decidimos llevar comida para llevar en vez de cocinar. La tienda de pescado y patatas fritas de Tso está a 5 minutos a pie de donde nos quedamos y la hemos usado alguna vez. Afortunadamente cronometramos nuestra visita justo antes de que se llenara. Siendo del noreste, estamos acostumbrados a los platos chinos con platos ingleses simbólicos, pero en Liverpool aparentemente los llaman chippies que sirven comida inglesa y china. Mi compañero recibió su curry de ternera regular, arroz frito y salsa extra de curry con algunas patatas fritas. Él declaró que el curry de carne era bueno y las patatas fritas excelente, el arroz estaba bien y la salsa de curry era totalmente diferente a la salsa con el curry y era dulce. En general, lo disfrutó. Mi hija y yo compartimos un chow mein con algunas patatas fritas, arroz y salsa de curry. El chow mein fue lamentablemente el peor que he tenido. Había mucha comida para todos, pero si es blanda y le faltan verduras no me impresionó en absoluto. Mi hermano y mi cuñada tenían su chili de sal habitual pollo que para ser justos que hemos tenido antes y es muy agradable. En general, si no hubiera sido por conveniencia, nos habríamos ido a otro lado.

Usando esta comida para llevar china hace mucho tiempo, pero tengo que decir que no sé si han cambiado el chef, pero el sabor de la comida es horrible. Es totalmente sosa y carece de lo que solía ser - también tienes que esperar años antes de que incluso puede pedir su orden así permanecer en una larga cola, entonces pida su comida - entonces esperar de nuevo. Consejo es ir a otro lugar para comer.

Always popular so often queues but they serve really quick so the wait isn't very long. And the food is definitely worth any wait!

One of the reviews giving it a 1 is reviewing T'So's in town so ignore it. This is the hest chippy. We moved away from Liverpool for 8 years and spent that time eating out of chippies who wished they were half as good. We'd talk about T'So's every time we wanted a takeaway. We'd tell the poor souls in Leeda who've never experienced an actual chippy about it. We moved back to Liverpool to be closer to T'So's (and our families but mostly T'So's). The staff are abrupt because they're too busy making boss food to mince about with pleasantries. Want someone to ask how your day was? Go somewhere else. Here the only questions are "What you want?" And "Salt vinegar?" Don't want to wait for your food? Do a phone order and it'll be ready in 5 minute. One of the staff wears a cap which says "England Beer Sex Football" on it and doesn't give a monkeys and neither do I. Go to T'So's.

I haven't used this place for years, just by the off chance all the other chip shops were mad busy.So I thought I'd give it a go, not lived back home for years and it was brilliant.I might even say that it might be my new chippie.

Just been to tsos chippy muirhead avenue liverpool, i can only describe it as chaos,with too many staff bumping into each other mixing up orders,shouting out orders with no takers,not suprising as the wait for food and the manic staff was cringeworthy, long and frustrating, meals were incomplete and coming out in dribs and drabs,with part orders left sitting on the counter untill the rest followed in time,people complained,no one listened,finally my order salt an pepper chips came but had to wait another 15 mins for rest of order,the chips were green an black full of eyes and soggy with no hint of salt or pepper or flavour,chicken foo yung was greasy and hard,and im not sure,but it certainly to me didint look like chicken, since when is chicken dark brown, these plus the other orederd meals went staight in the bin after a couple of mouthfulls,i honestly feel ill.id never ever use or recommend anyoned using this takeaway

It was a Saturday around 12 noon and 3 of us decided to try Tso's as we had never been there and we were close to it. As soon as we walked in alarm bells rang, the way in was scruffy and unwelcoming and the whole place looked shabby and run down. The food was dry and crispy on top and we had to dig down to the bottom to get anything marginally edible. The plates were made of plastic and the serving tongs had seen better days. The table cloth had stains on it and the picture on the wall next to us had dirty marks all over it. I am annoyed at myself for even staying there never mind eating anything, we should have walked out as soon as we saw the state of the place. The chips which my granddaughter had were dried up as were the chicken nuggets, the 'chicken' in the hot and sour soup was in cubes and tasted more like spam. The shredded duck was dried out and crispy - and not in a good way - and the pancakes were all stuck together. We ate a small amount each and then left.Before we left my daughter and grand-daughter used the toilets which they were disgusted with, there was only one which was in use as the other was full of excrement and they were worse than any toilets I have ever seen. There were signs on the walls saying book now for Christmas and the serviettes were still the ones from Christmas. No effort had been made to make the place look clean and presentable. When we got home my daughter researched the food hygiene rating and it was a 1. A 1 is too high in my opinion, I don't know how the place stays open and it should be closed immediately and undergo a full refurbishment if it was ever allowed to re open.In short - don't go there if you value your health!

Lovely chippy, always busy so be prepared to wait, or do what the majority do, place a phone order so it is ready when you get there as they do not deliver. Their fried rice is lovely really tasty and their meals are all nice. I don't really like their gravy let's them down, really thick and powdery. Nice chippy worth a visit

I have been a few times and can say its one or the other , you can be seared really quick or can be waiting ages and your foods cold , last night we went and it was not good , sausages were warm ups and stale had to be binned , prices can change from time to time depending on staff . Must say that's the last time we attend here .

I have been to Tso's on two occasions and have enjoyed both it both times. Its a nice little place to eat at reasonable prices!
