Truro Godfather in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We have been using this kebab shop regularly for 5 years now and absolutely love it. Chicken shish is tasty and a great, fresh salad. My kids love the cheesy chips!

Me and my wife tried only a double cheeseburger with everything(different salad bits). And it's good. We haven't tried anything else.

STOLE MY MONEY, SWORE AT MY SON WHO IS 14, DID NOT DELIVER OUR FOOD DID NOT ANSWER ANY CALLS

Ordered two 8 inch Pizza’s. Neither of us could finish them. Almost no tomato flavour to speak of, with the base severely lacking in any semblance of tomato sauce. All other toppings completely drowned in the overpowering flavour of the strangest tasting cheese either of us have ever tasted on a pizza. Almost tasted like cheese sauce flavouring somehow…which isn’t as appealing as it sounds! Stick with the Burgers, avoid the Pizza!

Grab a portion of chips after a city council meeting. Very much enjoyed. Nice now that they take phone and card payment.

Had a lamb donner kebab last night, the meat had a really strange flavour almost metallic not the usual delicious lamb taste it was just weird and because I was starving I ate it all anyway. Big mistake cos now I've got food poisoning and paying the price for it, been sick 🤢 all day and going to the toilet 🚽 a lot. And to be honest alarm bells should of been ringing as soon as I set foot in there cos the hygiene and the cleanliness of the place was very questionable

I had a kebab a while back and genuinely really enjoyed it but reading the reviews I think I just need to add negativity and bring this places score down as can be read by reviews how the owner has spoken to people and basically to he'll with this person.

I'm sitting here eating food from this place, and im in shock. I have lived in Cornwall for 8 years now, and I have ordered from many different kebab shops, and this is by the far best I have ever had!! I wish I had taken photos of my food before I inhaled it down but sorry, it was far too good! 😂 People, please don't get me wrong. This place doesn't look the best, but we looked past that and still ordered, and we do not regret a thing. Food is so fresh. The chips are so light and fluffy. The lamb donner just melted in my mouth. I haven't seen the other reviews or if you get a bad experience I'm sorry. But I haven't had a bad experience and I will be going back probably tomorrow 😂 thank you

This business doesn't deserve my time nor my money. I went into this establishment very much happy looking for a quick bite to eat, and was greeted by a miserable, rude person. I made the mistake of not hearing him ask me if I wanted sauces in my burger. When I came back to ask for some, I was yelled at for not listening. Then I was told I'm not here to give customer serievce just food. This person is clearly going through something as the attitude from start to finish was appalling some what laughable that they believe they can have a successful business talking to people who help thier business run. CUSTOMERS. Never going back and seriously wouldn't advise anyone food wasn't grat hygiene questionable.

What a shambles of a company. Did not get my takeaway! Never arrived said they came to house but I waited by the door entire time and nobody came. They swore in the background about the order and never came back out said all the lights were out when all our lights were on so obviously at the wrong address! or just never came! What sort of company does this,? we came here on holiday and we had a long trip and were starving. Never again so rude !!!

Great service , always so quick, lamb kebab was so delicious and good value for money. Tasty starters too , recommend garlic mushrooms . Pizzas are large and pretty good . Was surprised they had scampi too . Great portion sizes .

Never even managed to get food from this establishment. The guy working there was shockingly rude when we wer trying to order. On arrival my set and my little girl said hi he just grunted and went in the back. I then asked about the family deal he didn’t want to know I asked if they took card he just said yes and went in the back of the shop just no interest in our order at all so we left very disappointing

Terrible food, gf is in labour so wanted a lovely kebab. Was the worst donner meat we’ve had in our life, I’ve had microwave kebabs that taste better. Do not waste your money here

Tried ordering food by calling started to give my address for the phone call to end thought it was a mistake then proceeded to make another 6 calls over the space of half an hour to have every one of the ignored them I’ve never ordered from here before and certainly won’t be trying again! Extremely unhappy!

The meat tasted weard and now I've got food poisoning and been really bad throwing up from both ends would strongly recommend to not go near this place also I.ordered mixed meat and just got donner

CRAZY, VERY RUDE OWNER, WILL NOT BE RETURNING! Visited this establishment yesterday evening. Went to order a couple of cheeseburgers and a large chips from a nice lady at the front counter. I asked if the salad and coleslaw for one of the cheeseburgers could be put SEPARATELY and not on the burger as the last time I had a burger from there, it made the burger very soggy and it was dripping everywhere. Well, a very rude man (I'm guessing the owner) which was behind the lady heard my request and started kicking off, shouting, telling me he could not put the salad separately, then pointed to the door and shouted "GO ELSEWHERE". The lady looked very embarrassed as she was already writing down my order. Nevertheless, after such aggressive and rude behavior, I glady walked out of the shop and took my business to the Walkers Chip shop which turned out to be a lovely meal which we really enjoyed. This place really doesn't know about customer service and my advice is to avoid as they don't deserve custom with this kind of attitude!!!

It says you are open, but I rang you 3 times and goes to voucemail, what is going on? are you hanging up my phonecalls? are you lying about the hours and you don't have the hours you say you have? Honestly this is not the best way to grow your business, I have 3 businesses and you are far from having a good customer service and management.

Seen lots of negative reviews about management and rude staff, having only ordered delivery I don't feel it is fair for me to comment. The food itself is absolutely delicious, and exactly what it says on the pack. The portion sizes are very generous, and delivery was extremely quick. The prices are can be a little steep, but in my opinion it's worth it. Perfect for party food, Friday nights, and a night-shift lunch. I'd highly recommend the pizza, it's the best in Truro.

We’ve just ordered and the food came burned, we call the restaurant and when we said it was burn he closed the line directly 😳 we called again but no one answered ! 👎🏼

Look, it's a kebab shop, it hasn't got the atmosphere of a high class restaurant, and if that is what you want then are you sure you want a kebab? Similarly I feel a bit cheated if my kebab shop owner isn't a little rude, and I'm never cheated here. Great menu selection and wonderful kebabs, burgers pizzas and chicken. Never let's you down.

We were completely ignored and when we politely asked if he had gravy he got so angry that he said there won't be any food for us and asked us to leave.

Very rude, unprofessional and inappropriate dressed gentleman. I went into the store, it was empty and I saw the man in the back side of the store. I politely said Hi and he looked at me and ignored. I asked a few more times and he said "I am working". After a few minutes he came back and he was very unresponsive when I gave him the order, I was a bit unsure if he got it or not. After a few minutes, noticing he is cooking something else, I politely asked if that's is for me because I ordered something else. He shouted at me that "i am not working for you, chill, it's another order". The food was gross, it tasted bad and the wings are not marketed as being spicy, even if I double checked with him and he said "no spicy", but the wings were very spicy. Try to avoid if you care about you! Try other kebab shops in town!

Went in there tonight with my friend to get a takeout. We was waiting to be served the man was swearing a lot he then kicked some people out locked us in with 2 other women and a man. He asked what we wanted my and friend asked for chicken. He then started swearing at us and kicked us all out. Very rude and horrible man would definitely avoid this place. Will never go in there again and pay for any of his food.

Absolutely disgusting. What has happened to the management they used to be so pleasant. Customer service has totally gone out the window. The management have turned into grumpy neanderthals. Grunting at you when you enter "uuugh what you want" then do they need their ears syringed because they get the order wrong. Then you politely point it out that they are cooking the wrong food. So what do they do well they should apologise but no they shout swear and throw you out. Wow the way they are going they won't have any Customers left. We have been a loyal customer for years. Sorry no more. Bye bye. The chicken burger used to be amazing now they are using cheap frozen burgers. Such a shame.

Went into the empty shop, still had to wait 5 minutes to be served. Asked for 3 chicken burgers, the lady started cooking beef burgers. I then said we asked for chicken burgers and the the owner started swearing at us and refused to cook our food. Obviously he was having a bad day. Wouldn't recommend. My kebab was cold and my girlfriends food didn't have garlic mayo on it like I asked for and it didn't have Extra cheese on it like I asked for

Order via the app , ordered was accepted but 5 minutes later cancelled as couldnt deliver . I called them to try & say I'd pick up .but the phone was hung up . Went in & spoke to the owner who was rude, refused to cook my order would never use again. To respond to your reply I was not rude , I asked for my refund as the money had been taken . You chose to hang up , you chose to answer but leave the phone off the hook & when I came in you chose to ignore me . Shocking service.

SHOCKING DO NOT USE!. Ordered on the app, 10mins received email saying they had cancelled and would receive a refund in 3 to 4 working days!!! Phoned up, husband queried (nicely) if it was address as they had delivered yesterday to our neighbours the response was 'so, doesn't mean I'm going to deliver today'. He then put the phone down. We were going to say we would go pick the order up! Clearly customer service means nothing.

Best chicken shish kebab in Truro! Generous portions, plenty of salad, unlike other establishments. Chips are cooked perfectly, crispy and fluffy. Haven't had a bad meal from here. Delivery is prompt, food is always hot and taste is unreal. Must try if you haven't previously!

Pretty good take away, would be five star as the food is usually great but had a couple of inconsistencies due to different cook or delivering to my neighbour!! But usually a great pizza

The ONLY kebab out of any my family and I have tried in Truro, Redruth and in between that actually has decent kebabs since we moved here 4 years ago.

Avoid. The other reviews are true, the staff here are arrogant, rude and have no idea how to run a business. This is not what it used to be when it was called ‘One Stop.’ Asked for my kebab salad on the side and was told no, clearly a an extra pot for a bit of lettuce and cucumber is not within the customer service reach of these fools. So I walked out and won’t be returning.

I have tried all the kebab shops in Truro Godfather - is by far the best kebabs and pizza's in Truro also the salad is always fresh n yummy.

We ordered on the Just eat app. Order was awesome, very tasty and massive portions. We had to save some for breakfast the next day. Highly recommended.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS came in to purchase food despite the other kebab place in Truro having higher reviews, asked the man behind the counter if they took card - to which he stated yes. Following this, the man literally ignored us - it was almost comical! We were the only people in the shop and despite saying "excuse" and " hello, please could we order?" several times, he acted as though we were literally not in the room. It's quite talented that the he managed to do it to be fair! We had no choice but to leave since we were not going to receive any acknowledgement....let alone service.

Two star instead of one due to a previous ok experience. This time, ordered through just eat for delivery. Hour and a half later the delivery time has passed so try phoning them. No answer. Try repeated with the same problem. Phoned just eat after 2 hours waiting and they couldn't get hold of them either so we cancelled the order. Zero contact from the restaurant even though they had a phone number. Won't be using again.

Food was very late, had been over cooked ( pizza was black!!) And then left to go stone cold. Ended up binning the lot. Total waste of time and £25. Will never, ever use again.

Ordered a chk Donner last night too and the food was great again. My view is try to collect the food yourself and don't expect dazzling customer service. Walked in with family to purchase some food and there was one guy behind the counter who was obviously busy. He looked at me without any sort of acknowledgment. After a 5 min wait he said 'what do you want', I began to tell him and he tutted, shook his head and said louder 'just tell me what you want'. I found his manner very rude and unwelcoming'so I walked out.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don't read the allergy boxes and sent us a totally wrong order that my partner allergic to. The manager was so rude to my son on the phone so when my husband rang he put the phone down we they went to speak in person for the manager to use fowl language, we videoed the conversation to prove we were not rude at all, will never ever use this place again, just because my son clicked tomato sauce and it showed garlic and it obviously seemed to much to re correct it!!!

Ordered kebab for delivery came in good time however the pitta bread was like Ghandi's flip flop it was black and rock hard like. I called the restaurant to inform them and they suggested delivering a pitta bread!, that would be great but t by the time I would get it my chips and meat will be cold!!. Not very helpful and won't be ordering again! Even took ap photo but sadly no where to upload!
