Food was probably the best we've had for a while! Pity the service was awful, ordered an hour in advance and had to wait 20 minutes once we got there! The lady on the counter was so apologetic. Next time will order for collection 15 mins earlier!

I was expecting the chicken to be coated with the sticky slightly chewy coating that it used to be. Very disappointed

Recently moved in next door so wanted to try our new local Chinese. I ordered and within 20mins the food was ready for collection. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Donna warned me that the food is amazing. They did not disappoint. The food was. The portions were generous and we thoroughly enjoyed the Roast Duck and the Pork Chow Mein! We will definitely be regulars and I will recommend Bamboo House to my friends:)

What a wonderful little find! This was a nice surprise! The bang bang chicken actually has great amounts of chicken in it! (I forgot how good it used to taste). The sweet and sour chicken balls are huge. The meat is good quality and the sauce is nice. The beef Chow main!! It was nice to actually taste the ingredients instead of just salt. I enjoyed it all. The owners / staff are clearly on the ball and friendly too. Keep up the good work!

We ordered a delivery tonight and after being told that it would be delivered in 30 mins, it came 2 hours later! We called after 50 mins and were told that the food hadnt even been dispatched. Then upon delivery were given no form of apology. It’s unacceptable.

Stir-fried Beef with Pineapple, Sweet Sour, Shrimp and Broccoli in Falmouth. There is such a standard of stir-fry. It is definitely suitable for friends who have not eaten Chinese food in foreign countries for a long time. The tin foil packaging box is perfect for reheating in the oven. Unfortunately, no memories are left. This taste has been left in my heart and Hong Kong. The feeling and taste are super awesome👍👍👍

Food was really lovely. The delivery driver was awful, rude and aggressive. Not from this area as on holiday and ordered through just eat app… entered address that was on our booking ref and driver advised this was incorrect and got aggressive and rude! On this basis I would not recommend a takeaway delivery but the food was second to none and my children loved it all!

Even though the fried rice was slightly burnt. The sweet and sour chicken was the best I've had in a long time. Batter was crispy and light the chicken was most and cooked beautiful. Will defenlty use them again .can't give you a photo because I've eat it all😍😄😍😄

I woke up in the middle of the night and realised the door was unlocked as i heard a creak, i got out of my bed to see what was making this noise and it was the gusts of wind coming through the door - someone was burgling my house. I look around and shout 'hello' all i heard was a 'meow' and it was Lin. The head chef - he took my cat barged straight past me ran out of my front door and back to the kitchen where they made some a catsu curry not impressed at all!

Wow. I cannot describe the food I have received. Went straight in the bin. Wouldn’t dare eat it - looked radioactive and like slop.

My last order was very poor quality, chewy old food. No responce when I told them, will be ordering from elsewhere next time.

Visiting from out of town and was not sure where to order from so chose this place. After placing our order I read the reviews and myself and my family was a little worried about the food we was about to receive. Food arrived and after reading the previous reviews we was sceptical but when plating we all said that Food smelt nice and was a good temperature. When we started eating we all said that the food was nice. Four stars given as considering how much money spent we did not get any free prawn crackers which you would usually expect from a Chinese takeaway. When visiting again and ordering food we would not hesitate to order from here.

I'd give it zero stars if I could. Under no circumstances do not order from here. It isn't even worth describing the food. Utter trash.

We have had a number of food deliveries from Bamboo House, aleays wuickly delivered and delicious. Highly recommend. Also would like to mention the friendly young delivery driver, very refreshing to meet such a happy, pleasant lad

Quantity of the food was good, curry could have been a bit spicier for my liking. But good value for money.

Put 1 star but would rather put 0 stars the food was awful and disgusting. The chips were soggy, the Thai green chicken curry had no flavour to it and watery. The chicken curry sauce was very thick and the egg fried rice and noodles tasted overcooked and actually was quite hard to swallow them. Made me choke and very ill and I am 9 months pregnant. Won't be going there again!

This was the worst take away experience of my life, food arrived completely cold and in poor condition, I rang the restaurant to complain, at which point I was called a liar. Would not recommend anyone orders from here.

We ordered a delivery through Just Eat and only then did I look at the reviews. Omg I thought. Anyhow it was delivered bang on time so we then tucked in. Both our main prawn fishes were fine nothing but ordinary but fine. The fried rice was fine too. The only disappointment was the seaweed side which was so incredibly salty. Now my partner is a salt maniac but he threw it away..A pity as we love seaweed. But all in all it was not bad food. So posting this review which I might not have done normally but doing so to say to people that whilst not very good food it's okay. Well it was for us

Horrible food. Orange duck came with watery disgusting sauce. Duck was dry and tasteless. Friend got horrendously sick from fried prawn balls, ruining our holiday down here. Avoid even if your options are limited, not worth it. I would give 0 stars but that is not an option. Very upset.

Nice price on food,and pretty quick delivery. Food it's self not so great,they did not use so much meat on the 3 meat dishes we ordered, we had some different dishes,and they were al just about average when it come to taste.

Fumeing Ordered the food at 1830 for 2000 for my half hour lunch brake I told them and they made it very clear it would be there on time and it wasn't then I ring up too cancel and they say they can't help me missed my lunch waiting for some one too turn up but they never did

the chow mein mixed meat was vile and everything else was tasteless. would not recommend as it wasn't even that cheap. crispy beef was almost burnt and floury.

Absolutely terrible. Food arrived cold and unedible. Crispy chicken was chewy and I just couldn't eat it. Called to complain, I just wanted money back for this part of the meal but they were unhelpful and basically refused.

Honestly terrible. So terrible even uncle bens rice couldn’t save it. Entire dish went in the bin, waste of a tenner.Also I don’t know how often you’ve reheated that chicken but it was at the stage where it didn’t even feel like chicken anymore, more like a gelatinous tumour.

Horrible, horrible Chinese food. My flatmates and I ordered a couple of dishes. All of them were so bad. Trust me, our flat comprises of ppl from different parts of the world and we know our food and flavours well. The food is absolutely sad, would highly recommend to skip it.

Had a takeaway from the new Acacia rd shop. It was fine, tasty, and of good quality. i was initially worried due to the poor reviews but it was good.

Been using bamboo house for years and food was ok! Last night had chicken curry and it was like eating slime! Disgusting! It went in the bin. Rang to complain and wasn't even offered a refund after all those years. Will definitely not be going back..

The meals were made very quickly... But unfortunately we're pretty tasteless. I ordered the salt and chilli ribs, these were just barbecue ribs without the sauce and a few chilli's thrown in.

Please do not use this place as you will get ill. food is awful . Had to get just eat involved to get a refund as meal was inedible. *Pig Swill is better*

Envió comida a la dirección de facturación (como se pagó en Apple Pay), no a la dirección de entrega real. Cuando llamé a la casa de Bamboo me habían entregado mi comida a una dirección diferente y cuando les pedí que entregaran mi comida en la dirección correcta, me dijeron que el conductor de la entrega estaba entregando a otras dos direcciones antes de entregar la comida. Una hora y media más tarde todavía no hay comida que hayamos pagado por lady en el teléfono en la casa de bambú. Dijeron que todavía entregarían la comida. Sin embargo, la comida ya estará fría y pedí un reembolso o un nuevo lote de comida. y la dama dijo que no había nada que ella pudiera hacer. Pobre servicio al cliente Nunca volverá a ordenar desde aquí.

My partner used this same place 20 years ago whilst at university , and today she tells me it was just as good, and I have to admit they cooked it nice a quickly and wow tasted amazing.

While on holidfay in Flushing ,Cornwall and unfortunately hit by bad weather and wanting something to eat , we initially found this restaurant/take away listing under just eat online, filled out the registration and ordered our food , only to be informed that Just Eat could not confirm it with the restaurant....not being able to find another Chinese Take Away that delivered to Flushing from Falmouth i found the phone number to Bamboo House and enquired if they did deliver to where we were staying, and they said yes no problem, and had a valid reason for cancelling the order through Just Eat. They took my order and confirmed the delivery address and would deliver within the half hour, which they did, cash was paid for the food and i must say the food was very very good , hot, very clean , non greasy, rice seperated nicely, a lot of people will know what i mean by this....All in all a very good meal had by three people and l am so glad i rang them

I can't believe the previous reviewers have been to the same place! Best Chinese in town,like wing cheung in its glory days. They don't lie about delivery time,infact it's usually early and the quality of food is consistent. Unlike some who get used to ur custom then take the mickey!

The mixed meat vermicalle had 2 tiny prawns, and a few tiny shreds of what might have been chicken and pork. It was very salty and the sauce was bland. The chicken satay skewers were very salty, and the sauce was not what I expected, and nowhere near what it should have tasted like. 'Garnished' with loads of raw white onion (!) Salt and pepper ribs were not at all tasty, and had been deep fried. They were sprinkled with sugar, which was odd. Didn't taste nice at all. The banana fritter was ok. I definitely wouldn't order from here again, i threw more than half of it in the bin.

Heard good reviews about the quality of food and thought i would give this restaurant a go. BUT the service was terrible. They took and 1 hour and 30 mins to deliver the food and there was no apology or any refund for the trouble caused. The food is good but the service and the time taken to be delivered isn't worth it

Got a menu through the door the other day so figured it worth a go. One day, one of the local chinese takeaways will cotton on to the fact that the product in the Falmouth area is so poor, that if they upped their game they would reap the rewards of being THAT place that everyone talks about. Unfortunately, the Mayflower isn't that takeaway. Typically greasy, MSG-laden fair. In the time it took to get to me, I probably could have made something better myself with the help of a few youtube tutorials. But I'm lazy, and have some cash, so more fool me. Never again though. And can't recommend it to anyone. Spend your dinner money elsewhere.
