Troubadour in Kensington and Chelsea

Good atmosphere, and good food, but the service was awful to mediocre. One guy on the floor kept pushing us if we wanted shots with our drinks which we explicitly said "No" twice and when he came back with our drinks he still went on and annoyed us with the same question, we are trying to relax and enjoy our time off, not looking to be pressured for pushing sales (your drinks).

A very characteristic restaurant in Earl's Court. Particular atmosphere with objects used as decorations on the ceiling and ancient musical instruments on the walls. Youthful atmosphere, open until late. On the ground floor you can dine and drink with the possibility of outdoor tables in the courtyard. In the basement DJs and bands alternate. Young, friendly and helpful staff. We had dinner with a sandwich with delicious, excellent quality meat. With the dessert we had some difficulties (waiting for more than 30 minutes) the cause of which is unknown to us, but little compared to the fact of spending a pleasant evening a stone's throw from home. Advised!

Had a fantastic dinner and entertainment evening here last night. Big shoutout to the amazing staff who couldn’t have been more welcoming, knowledgable, helpful and beautifully spoken! Was a great end to the week. Shall definitely be back

An excellent meal in a restaurant brimming with atmosphere and quirkiness. Staff were lovely and helpful.

My pasta meal in the restaurant rated three stars, but the venue and service would get five stars (anyone who can do math knows how I then gave it four stars). We took in a concert on Saturday night. The Troubadour is about helping up and comers, and the bands were great. Kudos to the fine young lads working the bar during the show - they were awesome. Would definitely visit again.

First time here to watch a gig. The band Panic Over (my son is the drummer) absolutely smashed it btw. Venue is a small, cosy, intimate place. Real old school. Great sound. If you like being close to the band, this is the place

Always a good time at this classic establishment

I visited Troubadour last night and the jazz was fantastic! The downstairs area is lovely and has a lot of potential to be a great date spot. Unfortunately, the service did not meet the lovely vibe and price. The waitress seemed very unbothered and forgot to give us cutlery, then when we asked her for cutlery after the food had arrived, she only brought one set for two people. It was a shame as you would expect more attentive service, but really liked the place!

Lively bar with a basement where they play jazz music. The staff is attentive, the food is nice and the prices are reasonable. Worth visiting!

Quirky place, lots of history and a constant flow of musicians wandering in! Lots of things hanging on the wall. A little pricey but that's the area!

Awesome place. Very cool (but not too cool) vibe. Food and drink were delicious. Staff helpful and friendly. The best part… live music downstairs after dinner! Correction. Best part is actually the sticky toffee pudding.

The original Bohemian Cafe in West London. Sanitised it is now very clean and upmarket. So is no longer Bohemian in any way, but that does not distract from it's charm as a cafe. Now Bohemia that is a much more elusive destination any suggestions?

Small, simple restaurant where you eat well. The service is very friendly and welcoming. We feel good there and we want to stay there.

C'était bon, nous y avons bien déjeuné ! Le plus, c'est que ça convient aux différentes habitudes alimentaires de chacun. L'accueil est sympa.

Un petit resto bien sympathique, une bonne nourriture, la soupe est très bonne, tout comme le Burger, la viande était excellente ! La décoration est originale, la patronne cool, un bel et bon endroit où nous avons passé un bon moment.

Good food although the menu is a little small

Had my 19th birthday here and now I’m about to have my 40th birthday here. My mum and dad used to come here when they were younger. Even my grandmother came here when it first opened in 1954. It’s just one of those places that people love to go. Incredible atmosphere, beautiful looking place. And I’ve made a lot of friends at this place. Kind of feels like home filled with with lots of family. You could say I’m a fan.

We were looking for somewhere for dinner around 10 pm while walking through the area and happened to walk past the Troubadour and went in. What a great place! The staff were welcoming and efficient. Great food (I had bangers and mash, which I recommend) and a wonderful atmosphere. Next time I'm in the Earl's Court area, I'll certainly take the five minute walk from Earl's Court station to pay the Troubadour a visit.

Trobadour is troubadour. It is a unique and iconic place to see some amazing live bands when you’re in the area. Special mention for Nick, the Sound Engineer. Nick you’re legend ! I’ve been to Troubadour many times. I even performed there a few years ago and I will go again. Amazing place.

The atmosphere was good, its a beautiful place. The staff seemed annoyed of our presence, the customer service is non existent. The food was average and overpriced at best. It seems like there was no management at all.

We had brunch and bloody mary. Decent value, cozy pub with nice atmosphere & friendly service. The poached eggs were a little bit cold in the middle and vinagery though, otherwise all good🙃🙂

Went 2 people for dinner. Got stuck at a small table even though larger tables looked available. Brisket burger had a lot of meat, but was not very good. Did not seem to match the menu description at all. Shepherds pie seemed like it came from a microwave. Would not recommend going for the food.

We were drinking downstairs and some employees started charging us for entering the place, even though we were here for hours… Genuinely, never seen anything like this, if you are entering a place for free… do not come here, the party was lame as well…

Wow, what place! A dark, dingy basement - with good beer and fantastic music and so atmospheric. A wonderful night out and one I wont forget in a hurry.

Stopped for a drink but you could only book outside which was not the best on a cold rainy day. Food not tried; reserving indoors is tough as the place is cosy but very small. It is not a place to stop for a drink; more a place to eat.

Shepard's pie. Amazing Ribs - best I've ever had in 40+ years. Nice vibe that makes you want to chill out and have a drink.

A really cool place to eat and drink. Meal was delicious and the music was good. Its a bit croudy so make a reservation but you should definitely try it. --- Un lieu vraiment cool pour boire et manger. Le repas était bon et la musique agréable. C'est un petit peu bondé donc réservé avant mais vous devriez clairement essayer ce lieu.

Sehr cooler kleiner Laden bei dem man nicht auf die Idee kommen könnte das sie so super leckeres Essen haben!. Schöne deko, ein kleiner Hinterhof und d insgesamt sehr gemütlich. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und daher war alles perfekt! 🤗

The garden in the back is beautiful to sit in. The food portions are quite small and pricey. The service can sometimes be a bit slow and not as attentive as you would wish.

It felt quite special going to a pub after years and even better that they had great cider on tap. If you have a reservation, there might be a spot for you in their garden. Good, polite service. Wholesome gastronomy. Quaint wall hangings. What's not to like?

Night was amazing, lovely food lovely bar staff. Just when we were about to go home, the security was super rude with us, he was asking for us to go on the right side but my house it’s on the left side I try to explain 2 seconds later my friend realise she didn’t had her card went back inside, the security start shouting at us, for no reason. Was not a very pleasant experience.

Nice venue with great friendly staff,

This is a very atmospheric place, like a museum of old things, I ordered a salad with chicken, a portion is very large for one person, my husband ordered a burger, where there was a piece of meat instead of a cutlet, it was very tasty. Two dishes and two alcoholic beverages cost us 60 pounds, which is normal for London. The staff is very friendly! I recommend!

Quaint place with live music in the evenings.

What a great find we stumbled across. Had heard of it but had no idea where it was. Admiring the door and 2 guys pushed it open and went in, so we followed, to enter another world of music, nostalgia and wonderful ambience. The lady serving us was brilliant, having worked there for 30 years ( did not look old enough!) and gave us a tour and the history of the place. We were on holiday from Scotland, meeting relatives from Oz, and this just hit top spot on our travels. Not to forget the coffee and sticky toffee pudding were wonderful 👍😊

My first visit to an iconic bar.

My wife and I love the Troubadour. We mostly only have drinks here, but every time we go we love the decor and the ambiance.

A bit of a summary review as this has quickly become a regular haunt of mine, and needs to be called out. This is a very unique restaurant that deserves recognition. The live music (especially Sunday and Monday evenings) is an exceptional contribution to the London scene and the back garden is an oasis of good vibes, great service, and well prepared food (the sweet potato fries are some of the best I have had). Good beer selection, unexpected and quaint menu with interesting and well prepared options for almost everyone, and wait staff that are some of the best in the area. This is a special place and I hope you will give them a try at some point for a drink, a casual dinner, or a live music evening to really celebrate this jewel of London. Hats off to the Troubadour...

Surprisingly tasty food! I did not expect the Huevos Rancheros nor the Sticky Toffee Pudding to be nearly as tasty as they were.

It was really quiet since it was weekend morning when I visited, just love the 70s-90s music they were playing in the background. Proper, good English Breakfast and quirky decors everywhere inside this traditional pub (merchandises are also available to buy!). I'll come back one day for their live music performances and they sell the tickets on their website.

One of my all time favourites. I have been going here since my teen years. This year I celebrated my birthday and it was great. Lovely little outside area, good food, friendly staff and a fantastic vibe. You have to go here if you haven't already. It's an institution!!

A place where you can slow down and enjoy a good drink, while at the table next to yours, a talented musician plays Portuguese songs on a borrowed guitar. Magic, laid back, human. A much needed escape from the daily posh one is exposed on the street. If you go for the food, you won’t be disappointed either: compact but sensible menu choice of classics and very tasty dishes. This has become my recurrent spot when I am in London.

Good food, small selection, yet freshly made for each and every dish we had. Ribs were very nice, subtle, yet great flavor, not overdone. Shepards Pie was very traditional, though could have used some more vegetables. Lovely place to dine in, especially if the garden is open with space to sit outside.

Situated on Old Brompton Rd, Earls Court area. Good bus/train links. Nice an cosy inside and outside garden area. Nice varied menu.

Excellent fayre, service & atmosphere

It's a lively atmosphere and great for meeting people as everyone is so friendly. It took too long to get my food though. I had to follow up and turned out the server initially assisting me had forgotten to punch in my order. So had to place it again. Had a traditional shepherd's pie and the greens that went with it were mouth wateringly fantastic. Overall, a place worth checking out.

Fabulous live music venue, deceptively spacious and with a great atmosphere. Definitely one to keep an eye on as they often show upcoming local artists. The music is downstairs in the basement, the only drawback is a distinct lack of comfortable seats, so just get up on your feet instead!

Lovely venue, polite, attentive, helpful staff who couldn't do enough for us. 6 ladies, turning up for breakfast, after a weekend in London, with no reservation. We were made to feel very welcome, and nothing was a problem. Our breakfasts were amazing Thank you
