Triple Two Coffee in Reading

Temporarily Closed as of 12th December 2023. According to the poster on the door, they are negotiating with the landlord and hope to refurb and reopen in the new year.

Just arrived and it's closed, hours on here are wrong

Great on a weekday, less so on a weekend. Had to wait 50 minutes for eggs on toast.

Disappointed - fancied some eggs for breakfast. Ordered Eggs on Sourdough, got a sad looking plate - see photo. Did not to taste very good either. Bread ordinary. Coffee was good. Total close to £10. Not worth it. Service lady was not very welcoming. They have a cute little dog in the cafe, this is fine but I did not appreciate the dog begging for food once I was seated. When asked, the lady put the dog out w/o saying anything. Certainly no sorries.

I was served by the manager last week. She gave me an amazing coronation chicken baguette (halal). Freshly made.

Popped in for brunch late on a Friday morning with some colleagues.. All tastes were catered for, and successfully satiated! I had a Full English washed down with a simple black coffee and a large glass of tap water! Great atmosphere, very very helpful and friendly staff. Clean and welcoming café! Good quality food, always freshly cooked, served hot and very tasty! My only comment would be the portion of baked beans is really too small. 😊

Amazing cafe !! Great food , drinks & service & full of lovely staff members. I think it was the manager with dark hair who always puts customers needs first , great views n coffee, recommend.

If I base my review on the coffee itself it would be a 5. However part of running a coffee shop especially comes down to the vibe of the shop. There are two staff members in particular as you can see in my picture who are absolutely miserable and unfriendly as I am local and live near here I am not the only customer who feels this way. It’s such a shame because there is a lovely lady and her daughter who really make it a pleasure to come in they always go above and beyond and really are cheerful. I strongly believe the happy customers must only have encountered the two lovely ladies. Such a shame ! Management need to either train them to at least smile or get rid

Lovely café. Got a coffee and had a walk around the pond.

Great new coffee shop / bar. We stopped for a coffee after a nice long walk, they gave the dog a cup of squirty cream. Had Vegan muffins (blueberry and chocolate). Good food options, would come back for a beer too as the pints are £4.60 which is good for the area. It is dog friendly.

Only came for a coffee but will be back. Staff (possibly owners) were really friendly, as was the cute little dog. The coffee was really good too! They will be my new coffee place and I'll be back for food asap!

Best place for coffee in South Reading 💜 ... they have amazing pizza, delicious coffee ☕️ and a cute dog 🐕! It also has awesome interior design and vibes. If you are in Green Park for bike or walk it is a must to visit.

Love this place! Tasty chai tea latte with soya milk and gluten free pizzas! Great options for vegans too Dog friendly cafe with pup cups and water bowls outside- my dogs love going there.

Serious business Coffee machine

We only enjoyed delicious coffee here, on this occasion. We plan, however, to go back. What a hidden gem of a place. Everything looked clean and fresh. Service was friendly and the decor funky. Surrounds stunning. Thank you.

Very nice venue on Green Park after a good walk in the most pleasant sorroundings

Was looking forward to a nice cooked breakfast but sadly it wasn’t to be. Sausages, egg, bacon and beans were cold leading to an unfortunately unpleasant experience.

Really enjoyed my visit to triple two in Reading. Extremely friendly staff and great food and drinks. My wife and I have specific dietary requirements which were catered for. We had a lovely time and would definitely visit again. Highly recommend to everyone!

Waited way over an hour for an air fried partially warm breakfast. Wasn’t busy either. If you don’t have the right cooking facilities, don’t offer food.

Great coffee shop in a beautiful location. Nice open area outside for kids to play in and great ambience inside. Food and drinks both tasted great and service was exceptional. Would definitely recommend!

Had the pizza and coffee with the Vue was amazing coffee 10/10 really helpful and friendly staff i changed my mind a few times in what i wanted they ware totally understanding and helpful will go again my fav place and is away from noisy town

Had a lovely brunch at Triple Two! The coffee tasted great and each portion was great value for money. Definitely recommend trying the fajita pizza. We really enjoyed the atmosphere at the cafe so we decided to stay a little longer and have some cocktails! The staff were super friendly and attentive, I'll definitely be returning!

Went there for a chilled Sunday afternoon with my husband. The decor and whole ambience is absolutely beautiful and very pleasant. We had a latte, Raspberry Frappe, and a cocktail.. Really enjoyed it. The food we ordered was amazing, well cooked and served with a smile. The waitress kept asking us if we were happy and if we needed anything. Lovely place and would definitely visit there again.

This was my first experience with a Triple Two Coffee shop - it was amazing! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and felt there was something there for everyone, for all age groups. They are even popular with the local pets! The service was incredible and the staff were happy to tailor to the needs of myself and my family. I had tried the cold fashion cocktail, a twist on the standard old fashion, and was very impressed as I've never had anything quite like it! I will definitely be visiting again, with my family and my little dog the next time I'm in the area!

Went here with my wife for brunch. Good hot food selection and they serve draft beer and cocktails (in addition to the usual frappes and coffees).

Really good coffee and all day brunch. Very friendly staff and service was great for us. Cool concept as the coffee shop also serves alcoholic drinks, we tried some of their cocktails which were a hit!! A huge variety of coffees, frappes, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks as well as all day brunch (both hot and cold). Would recomend.

Had an excellent experience! Cocktails, coffee & cake were delicious and the location is beautiful.

We had a lovely time with the family. The location is lovely to chill. The Normal Latte, hot chocolate, chai lattea nd drinks were great, food was yummy (wanted to order more but full stomach) and the staff were lovely. Keep it up. Will be back.

I was initially excited when I found we are going to have a coffee place at GPV. Visited few times and the service was really slow, inside was super hot and stuffed and my flat white on two occasions was just watery milk with no kick at all. Not kind of coffee you would expect from place like this. Even petrol station instant costa tastes better.

No parking so unless you're a resident with a permit or want a £100 fine don't bother!

Visited a few times and had a coffee in the shop or out on the patio. The coffee is nice as are the cookies and cakes on offer, so good if you have a sweet tooth, they also have non alcoholic drinks which is great. Unfortunately the service needs improvement, it's always been a little slow but as they are new I can accept that they are getting up to speed. However on Sunday afternoon I stood at the till waiting to be served, when the member of staff finished with the customer in front of me, he looked at me blankly, said nothing then walked off, to dust something? It was 2:45 so not closing for another hour. They lost out on 3 more drink orders.

Bought 2 lattes to takeaway, drove about 1/2 mile to park up and the coffees are warm. I expect coffee to be hot not warm. Couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of taking them back we just buy from them again.

Great quality coffee and food. Service needs some improvements as they got our order all wrong. They are 🐶 friendly
