We had a great meal here. The staff are charming and helpful and the food was wonderful. I had a jungle curry, one of my favourites, and it was nice & spicy hot and tasty. Husband had sea bass which he said was delicious. Can't recommend it highly enough.

A party of six, which included a Thai cook, so the food needed to be authentic, and it didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and staff were friendly. A good choice when in the area.

Close within a minute of Bicester centre but not a restaurant you'd chance upon unless you knew, which is shame as it deserves more footfall. In an old church with a choice few reminders of the history but not as much as perhaps it could have. It does feel authentic Thai in furnishing and the service was attentive and quick. The food was fresh and tasty though portion sizes a little too small for a £10 price tag, especially the veggie noodles. Tom Yum prawns was very good with mushrooms but really lacking more chilli, lemongrass, galangal, and kaffir lime leaves in the mix. At £9.50 that was v expensive when these relatively cheap ingredients would have added to the experience. Spring rolls were superb. We'll be going back as the flavours lived with us for ages after we left. It is authentic, friendly and lots of space and thankfully a cut above some other UK Thai restuarants that feel and taste a little soulless.

Enjoyed a reasonably priced set meal on a quiet Thursday evening. The mixed starter was good albeit we found the tempura prawns & prawn toast a little greasy. However, the main courses were excellent. The staff were warm and friendly. Overall would say give it a try.

Was excited about the name and how restaurant looked but to our dismay. Little did we know, the menu was hard to understand and we finally ordered few things which were house specials and platters but food was absolutely horrendous. We ate 5% of the food but the best dish which was finished was the plain rice. The beer was nice But spent like £70 just eating plain rice and beer.

I took my two daughters here (aged 21 and 14). We all loved it. Beautiful building, nice atmosphere, delicious food and excellent smiley service. This is a brilliant place to eat with a positive message.

Do not be alarmed by the name of the restaurant, the name is whimsical and playful. After a quick Google we found it was a positive message to promote safe sex in the UK and Thailand. We came here on a Saturday night, there was six of us. We were directed to an accessible entrance. The restaurant was busy at this time of night but the wait staff were prompt and polite. The decor is lovely and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The toilets are very clean. I would say that it might have been nice if the table was set before our arrival, but this wasn't a deal-breaker for us and it was probably because they were busy on a Saturday night. We ordered drinks, starters and our mains. I was very impressed with the speed of the items ordered - everything ordered; the drinks, starters, mains, dessert was all served so quickly! The starters were a mixture of veggie and meat options. They were very tasty and everyone enjoyed them. My only comment would be that we found the sweetcorn fritters broke apart very quickly and slightly undercooked in the center, they could do with being deep fried for slightly longer. The mains were incredible. Hands down the best Tom Kha (vegetable) Soup I've had here in the UK! I highly recommend this. The veggie panang was delicious, the tofu was soft and the mushrooms were so flavoursome, every bite of everything had so much flavour. The pad thai was perfect, very tasty. Presented well and good portion sizes. The desserts were delicious too, we ordered all the fruit desserts and shared them. Our favourite was the orange ice cream and the mango. Very refreshing. The items were fairly priced and reasonable. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. Thank you to the chef and the staff at Cabbages and Condoms, we will certainly be visiting again soon!

Bland bland bland, which is not what you'd expect from a place with such an unusual name. So bland. Tasteless starters and rubbery bland tofu. So very bland. TBH I was dragged here because my friend really wanted to try it, but the name of the restaurant is just so offputting. I get it probably has some significance, but the tofu tasted very much like it could have been a (hopefully unused) condom.

We had an enjoyable family meal here recently. It is worth saying that the restaurant is a converted church and they have made a very good job of converting it to create a pleasant and attractive environment. The staff were courteous and smiley; I think perhaps one or two didn't know much English. We had a good selection from the menu; Thai green curry, duck in tamarind sauce, basil stir fried pork, sweet and sour chicken, which were all very good. None of the dishes was too expensive and we came away thinking we had a good value meal.

We have had the set lunchtime menu on several occasions and the food never disappoints. The pad Thai is really good and the spicy vermicelli noodles are really good and really spicy!Service charges are included at 10% and I don’t think the menu mentions this, I think it’s better if people know about charges before they appear on the bill.Would recommend.

Lovely restaurant in a gorgous listed building. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious.

We stayed at Bicester Hotel and Spa, and fancied something different for dinner. We looked on trip advisor and Cabbages and condoms were rated really well, so off we went. Parking was free outside after 7pm. The building itself is wonderful, a converted church, but they’ve really decorated it well mixing a red and beige colour scheme, and lovely decorations of sculpture around. Table numbers are in Taiwanese which is nicely authentic. The chairs are the old church chairs which is really quaint. The menus clearly explain why it’s called Cabbages and Condoms and by eating here you are really helping in their mission back in Thailand. It’s not just a restaurant, it has a heart. The menu is extensive with so much choice, complete with photos to help you choose. There are loads of vegetarian choices too. The food was really tasty, absolutely delicious and we can not recommend here enough!What a stunning place, we will definitely be coming back! ❤️ Highly recommended! One of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been to!

We passed this restaurant and thought we would go in for a meal. The service was good, the food average and very expensive. What surprised us was the posters on the wall giving sexual advice about using condoms, maybe a restaurant is not the place for that. We would not return as we have had much better Thai food in other places.

Just had dinner and thought service was good, apart from food still average, but no mention on menu of the 10% service charge and 50p for hot water and £1 for chilli sauce, these only added up in the bills at the end, without mentioning at all when we ordered hot water and sauces. Disappointed even though the owner looked friendly.

Went for a birthday meal and food nothing to write home about service very poor, uncomfortable chairs and tables very cheap paper napkins won't be going back.

This was the first time in a couple of years that a group of us got together. I admit that we weren’t a quiet table but there were so few other tables for a Saturday night, one of whom had children running up and down past us screaming and jumping on the seats so I think our level of conversation raised to meet that.

The food is great and the staff lovely. My kids are always asking to go back, and whenever my in-laws visit it's their top request for a birthday or special occasion treat. Well worth a try for locals and visitors alike!

My boyfriend and I often visit Cabbages and Condoms in Bicester as the food is amazing and the atmosphere is great. I have Coeliacs disease and they have an extensive gluten free menu for me which makes me feel normal! Nothing is ever too much to ask and the staff are so friendly and comforting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting Bicester.

We were going to Bicester Outlet Village and looking for somewhere to have lunch when I spotted the name of the restaurant on Trip Advisor. Having been to the original in Bangkok a couiple of times, we were intrigued to see what this version of the concept was like.

With limited places to go on a Sunday this was a good fine. Good selection of food with some different dishes to the norm in Thai restaurant for example mince chicken and aubergine served in an aubergine. Very friendly tentative staff. Worth a visit

Easy to park close by. The building itself is very nice,setting is cosey. We ordered the food, a selection, the service was very fast and food came out straight away. I’ve had a lot of Thai before and this place was average at best. Not bad food at all, but nothing wow in flavours or taste. We had tried 6 starters and 6 meals and none of us where excited about trying anyone else’s dish! So the food was just Ehhh...now the issue..there was a table of around 25 people (adults) all extremely loud and extremely drunk ordering bucket loads of alcohol and taking the Micky out of the staff. You could not hear yourself think for the 2 hours we where there. The staff seemed unsnarl to challenge them, even after they broke a frame on the wall part of the decor because some pissed up typical British rear end wanted to blow a condom up and stick it on his head. Such a horrible dining experience. If you want someplace nice and normal hisnsint for you. If you want to be sat next to a load of British piss heads abusing brown people in restaurants then you will fit right in. Us Brits are a disgrace when we drink, and let’s putnut this way...had this been Pizza Hut, none of them would have dared to behave the way they did..but because it’s run by brown Thai people...it’s fine. Truly feel for Thai/Chinese or Indian restaurant staff that have to deal with crap from drunken Brits

I cannot recommend Cabbages & Condoms enough, living in Bicester I regularly visit either with friends or family, or use their take-away service. The quality of the food is always excellent and my guests have often commented that it is the best Thai food they have eaten in the UK. I have tried the Phad Thai, Massaman Curry, Red/Green Thai Curry and Drunked Noodles and all are really excellent and authentic. I also think the food is great value for money, and the restaurant itself is a wonderful building with lots of fun/quirky elements. The staff are AMAZING - so friendly and very helpful!! I recently visited with 8 people for a family birthday and they were lovely enough to give the birthday girl a free pudding and a gift - and they staff helped us to sing to her. It was a great evening and we will definitely be going again and again and again!!

This restaurant is trading on it’s reputation from Thailand! We were disappointed. We arrived for lunch at 1.45, having checked that closing time was 3.00. As we took our seats, the waiter informed us that time was short, and any ordered courses would be served together. He wasn’t quite right...the main dish came first, followed by the starter.

My partner and I went for lunch today here . We are vegetarian and were very pleased as most dishes could be change to accommodate us and were very tasty . The customer service was great , very friendly and attentive. The restaurant decor was authentic. Also the Tia Maria coffee was delicious. We will be definitely returning.

Visited for dinner with friends, on a Friday night. Beautiful old building which used to be a church so an interesting interior with a lovely ambience. It was quite busy which unfortunately meant the service was quite slow, not that we were in a rush to be honest. The food was just average I'm afraid to say. Really nothing special at all which I was disappointed about. The meal was quite bland overall. I wouldn't rush back.

Cabbages and Condoms is my go-to for Thai food. All the dishes are delicious and the portion sizes are generous. The staff is friendly and entertaining. A must-try if you are coming to Bicester.

Broke a journey on the M40 in Bicester and stumbled across this gem by accident.

My Husband and I were at Bicester village and fancied a nice lunch so came here, we had actually been to the C&C; restaurant in Bangkok so thought this would be fun!

Just a few minutes walk from the designer outlet, didn’t realise how close it was.

Great lunch deal roughly £9.95 for 2 courses.

I will keep this short and sweet. What a fab meal. Great decor, fantastic service and fabulous food. Can't think why we don't go here more often, probably because its tucked away and not on the high street. Thoroughly recommended.

Great food, service is spot on. Wasn't rushed, we were asked if we wanted our main food rather than bring each course out back to back. Tom yum soup was amazing, as was the coconut rice. Fair priced and staff were really friendly. Definitely be back!

Friday night and not the busiest, but low staff numbers meant the wait between courses was almost ridiculous. The meal itself was ok although I felt it was a little bland. But it was ok.

Busy and noisy. Food was not the best and sadly disappointed given Thai is our favorite and was so looking forward to our meal.

One is lucky top get a table here as they are so popular the restaurant soon fills up despite the dining room being fairly large. From entrance to departure you are treated like a valued customer. I was lucky enough to get a table and for the princely sum of £24 a two course meal and a bottle of water two mouth watering Thai meals. We have visited here a few times fo birthday celebrations with our families, just as a couple and as a 4 with our friends. The food is always fresh and top notch and the staff friendly and attentive.

We were a group of 10 and varied from people who like spicy food to those who don't. There was something for everyone The staff were helpful in explaining the items when asked. They were also able to have a laugh and joke with.when the food arrived it was great. Portions of jasmine rice a bit big for one person. The downside one person did not get there food till 10 mins after the others. I put it down as a blimp on an otherwise lovely evening.

Visited with family today and we were appalled and disgusted by the service of one of the wait staff who I later found out was the acting manager of the restaurant, Tu.

Been here a row times. Great service and good food. For being the second Thai of this name, the condom part was subdued, not like Bangkok bookend. Overall great, but never wanted to take the kids, not because of the food, but because I didn’t want to explain the restaurant name!

Everything is excellent here- the welcome, the service, the quality of the food, choice of drinks, the surroundings, the atmosphere. This was a return visit and I enjoyed my night out just as much as last time. The food is better than most of the restaurants in Thailand I have been to.

The initial reception and hosting was outstanding. Lovely setting, great food that was well presented and very tasty. Service throughout the evening was outstanding, highly recommended. Definitely go again.
