We had a lovely dinner today with Octavian as our waiter. He was super friendly, funny and thought of everything! He also handled other customers very well. The food was so yummy, we had the three course and can now eat no more as we are so full. Octavian is great and should be told well done, from Holly and Reece :)

My car broke down on my way home and the Miller and Carter car park was the closest pull in. I desperately needed the toilet and so popped in at about 7pm. The staff could tell that I was shaken up and were super kind and welcoming. They set up a table for me in the pub section of the restaurant and I ordered food. I ordered the bread platter and I couldn’t recommend more as a starter. The bread, oil and dip were a perfect combination. The staff were attentive during my entire stay and kept checking in on me to see the status of the car repairs and offered multiple times to call me a taxi to the nearest hotel if necessary. They allowed me to stay right up untill close (5 hours) and when I left seemed genuinely concerned about me and my vehicle due to how late it was. Overall, the staff are incredible and genuinely lovely people who care about customers. I will definitely be returning on better circumstances for a meal at the next possible chance.

The server we had (Luke) was very friendly and helpful, very funny and made the experience alot better. The only.down side was the behaviour from one of the other female members of staff whos attitude towards the job was negative and this gave off to the dining room.

We are regulars at Miller & Carter, Kidlington, and had another lovely meal there in early March. All the steak experts are terrific - Paula looked after us this time and was as usual very knowledgeable, polite, and friendly. We always love the bread board to start and then I had the cheese and bacon burger & my partner had a steak - cooked to perfection as always. Restaurant has a lovely convivial atmosphere - not too noisy but everyone enjoying their night out. Never had a bad meal here and the staff are all so welcoming and professional - really lovely place for a meal out.

Excellent fast service, we went as a large group and was concerned about steaks coming out in time and cooked correctly- we had nothing to worry about, as the team was excellent and staff really helpful. Great management team to get this place working like this, and excellent staff on the floor.

Lovely place, atmosphere & staff are brilliant, was disappointed with the food. Had chicken, was supposed to come with wilted spinach but came with long stemmed broccoli, and all told, I think the broccoli was undercooked but the whole meal was all a little dry as if it had been sitting under a hot light before bringing to the table. It also came with a ceasar salad that was smothered in a white vinegary sauce, unpleasant. It may have been a one off as they were having a seasonal menu change the next day.

Enjoyed a really good evening out with friends. The ribs I had were very tender, skin on fries very nice and the side of fillet steak (medium) was perfection. The mango bomb I had for pudding was delicious. The waitress was brilliant. We will definitely have a meal here again.

Shelley provided us with the best service. Very attentive and her customer service was excellent. She is an asset to the team.

A pleasant enough venue - typical Miller & Carter (better than some!). Very pleasant and helpful staff. Disappointed, however, to get a 12oz sirloin when I ordered the 16oz rib-eye! 🙁

Date lunch with my wife. A perfect set menu lunch, every part of the meal was delicious. The ambiance and accessory was good. Angie our server was brilliant, kept us thoroughly entertained & made the meal a treat.

We were a group of 10 and could not possibly have had a better welcome and service. The food was excellent and came out at the same time and was still hot. Which is not always the case when we meet for lunch. We will definitely be visiting again.

Brilliant service from Angie, was my dad's birthday and she handled our table very well. Made us laugh, made him super happy and sung happy birthday. She litrally made the exerience 10/10, thank you so much Angie, you're a wonderful person!

We both had the 50 days aged Sirloin, which was cooked as per our individual requests, only the waiter said they were both the same, the were not.. We went for the Valentine’s menu on Friday 16th Feb. The food was really good as was the choice for the special menu. Shout out to our waitress, who I think was called Catelyn. She was very polite, friendly and efficient. When the wine we wanted to pair with the steak wasn’t available, she went out of her way to find out what other wines would pair well with what we were having and even found us a fantastic bottle of wine that wasn’t on the menu, but which they had a few bottles left in stock. She was a credit to the restaurant and deserves to be recognised.

I will start and end on positive, and put my feedback in the middle Firstly, Angie, is an absolute star, very personable and professional. She deserves a raise!!! The service is what made this meal out, as the food was not as exceptional as we have had before. We had the bread and olives to start, in addition to the chipotle chicken. Albeit, as the waiter put down the breads, the olives slid off the platter and nearly ended up on the floor! We then received our lettuce wedges all good Steak wise, I had the 50-day aged fillet mignon and my wife had the 50-day aged Ribeye We chose to have the steaks cooked as recommended, although I would usually have the ribeye medium to rare, but took Angie’s advice and ordered it medium We were going to share the steaks so we could get some of the fillet and some of the ribeye. I have never experienced steak like this. It was almost of a “rubber” texture, the fillets were more on the medium side and the ribeye was more on the medium rare side (not as we had ordered – or as RECOMMENDED!) I also noticed that it was very “salty” in taste (I had not added any other seasoning prior!) The onion loaf was as normal, cold and greasy We also ordered the stuffed bone marrow – one of our favourite dishes. It arrived moments after the steak and fries, yet was colder as we ate it. We highlighted this to Angie who said she would get it replaced but it would be 10 minutes. We had finished our steaks by the time it had arrived. The replacement was “scolding” hot and I actually burnt the roof of my mouth – I told my wife to wait and let it cool down. We did not have a dessert but would have had a coffee but we were told the machine was broken!! All in all, it was “ok” but nothing more. If it was not for ANGIE this would have been a poor or terrible visit!

Came in for drinks Friday last week and was served by David who recommended cocktails and wine for my partner and I. We took all his advice and had a lovely evening in the bar. It was a lovely start to our weekend.

On the spur of the moment, my partner and I decided to book a table here this evening. The whole experience from walking through the door to be greeted by a lovely gentleman, to then be served by the wonderful Kati! She made the experience so lovely and nothing was to much to ask of her! She is a credit to the team! We will definitely return x

I really enjoyed my delicious steak, but what made the experience even better was our server Angie, who really engaged with my two young sons. Colouring materials and regular banter provided. My sons enjoyed the giant cookie too. Highly recommended, and thank you Angie.

I really enjoyed a recent meal at this restaurant. The food and service are second to none! The menu is varied and also has options besides steak. I went there at lunchtime and although it was quite busy, there was no delay in getting food and it did not feel as though you were rushed. It's conveniently located next to the main road so is easy to find. I would highly recommend it!

Brilliant went for the surf and turf and it was cooked excellent! Staff (elana) were really friendly too and couldn’t be more helpful. Wish the lobster tail was a bit bigger!!!!

Booked for valentines, so I will try to give the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately our experience was just not what we usually expect from Miller and Carter. 25 mins wait for our table- when we turned up right on time. And it seemed everyone was waiting for their tables too so there were no where to sit and wait either. Once seated it was a 45 mins wait for our starter. Our booking was for 8:45 but we did not get our main meals until 10:15. We did not get home until 12 because we had gone out of our way by 30 mins to visit this miller and carter. We usually go to the Swindon one which we have always had good experiences at. When we left we overheard another customer was waiting two and a half hours for their main. Despite it being valentines I think that is absurd. Positives: Our waitress was lovely. Attentive and kind. I really did not like my dessert and she offered if i would like another, I said no but that is good customer service. The steak was perfect, which is probably the most important thing but I would still say not worth the wait. We may give this miller and carter another go but definitely not on a occasion.

Absolutely delicious 3 course Valentine lunch. Cannot find anything to criticise! Great service and pleasant staff as always unlike the MC in Brighton which let the great name of MC down! Highly recommended!

My friend was recently racially abused by travellers in the Kidlington branch. Not only did the staff not do anything about it they also didn't apologise & let the travellers stay in the restaurant. Absolutely disgusting and won't be coming again, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Greeter was so welcoming and Angie was so attentive as our server. Great experience will definitely return as of them and the customer service delivered.

Last Saturday we visited Kidlington and the lovely Angie was our Waitress. When we left we were still talking about her so had to write a 5* review. She is the definition of what service should be: friendly, accommodating, with a friendly smile and a sense of humour!

Their attention to detail was remarkable, and they made sure to explain each step to me. I'm grateful for their excellent service and highly recommend SpeedTek to anyone needing mold removal services.

Try the food if you are a meat lover very charming staff and lovely place

We had an 8.15pm reservation but arrived early to have drinks in the bar. One of our drinks was forgotten and we had to ask for it 25 minutes after ordering. We were not seated until 8.35 and had to ask if we had been forgotten. The mains were still not at the table at 9.20pm. My drink was empty for over 20 minutes before anyone even asked if we needed anything. The food came out cold and we were extremely disappointed. Our experience was awful and we would not return, nor would we recommend this restaurant.

Had a great experience in here on Friday lunchtime, thanks to meeting Octavio. His first shift, but you would have hardly known it. He delivered a first class service, efficient & observant. He also came over as personably and friendly. Octavio is already an asset to your restaurant.

Does not deal with racist customers accordingly in there establishment but so concerned about how people dress to eat their food

I had the fortune of proposing in this restaurant. Since our arrival the welcoming was outstanding, the level of service by Kati was high and special, it went above and beyond my expectations. The food had the special touch and will also 100% recommend!. It's safe to say I had a fantastic experience, Thank you!

The food was dreadful and overpriced £174 for 2 people and 2 drinks a piece, this really was the worst value for money I have ever spent, the steak were over cooked, fat throughout and as we had a forced fix menu they lumped us with £60+ per person, whilst keeping the better cuts off that overly priced meal. The service was awful and I had to go up and pay the bill at the till because the waiter went missing - just find somewhere else, this place is really bad these days

We were very disappointed with how run down the decor was. The paint work really needed updating, I had a radiator next to me that had food stains on and loads of chipped paint, and I was facing a wall that had a huge patch of flaking paint that looked like it had been caused by damp or something. Our table was dirty. There's a sign at the door to remind customers to dress smartly which is ironic with the state of the place! The prices are really high, my sirloin was £35, it was nice but If you're charging that much it's not acceptable to have such a run down restaurant. There was no toilet roll in the toilet and one member of staff was slumped over a desk. We had a lovely Waitress but she wasn't able to do her job properly because she said she had been given all the party tables so she was stretched thin. Felt like a cheep chain with gourmet prices!

Expensive but the steak cut like butter! Onion loaf a bit greasy. Services great. Desserts tasty.

I'm not much of a food person usually but even I could tell that the steaks were far superior to what i have had before. We had the butchers block sharing board and were not disappointed. Its a bit pricier than I'd normally go for on an evening out but not ridiculously so - and honestly worth the extra if you want something tastier. I had a couple of the non alcoholic drinks and their mock tails were very nice as were the standard non alcoholic drinks. All in all a lovely dinner out and will go again some time!

Yet another amazing meal at miller and carter in Kidlington! We only go for special occasions and it's a rare treat. Never disappointed unlike with the Banbury one. Honestly can't fault it in Kidlington!

Came here for a birthday meal and the food was delicious. We didn't book but we're lucky to get a table as it was quite busy. The garlic mushrooms were devine! Really friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again.

I was really looking forward to going to this restaurant as booked for my working Christmas party. I was very disappointed with both the food and the service. 4 of the Christmas dinners came out cold and was returned to the kitchen and later returned dry and piled up so high with no presentation. The steaks however came out lovely and everyone was pleased with them. The manger was very helpful and accommodating but by the end of the night it was ruined and to late in the evening to resolve the problem I would not be in a hurry to return.

Lovely pre Xmas family meal at 6:30 on Saturday 23rd December. Food was excellent and great value and the service first class from the managers, bar staff and our server Ines (sorry if thats not spelt correctly) great work everyone and a team you should all be very proud of.
