We popped in on a Sunday early evening with two young children, being spontaneous because it’s a bank holiday and sometimes - just sometimes - we like to live life on the edge. We were seated immediately, had our food and drink orders taken promptly, and everything arrived quite quickly. So far, so exemplary. My son’s dinner was proper fish fingers in the lightest batter. He’s a tricky customer, so this was the first battle won. Next up was my daughter who had the kids steak - cooked to order - and she was very happy with hers. My wife had a burger (“It was a nice burger” was all I could conjure from her) which looked pretty decent. It is hard to get excited about a burger, so i’m told. I had a 9oz rump steak which I asked for to be cooked blue, because anything more than passing within 50 yards of a candle is overcooked to me. Whilst it wasn’t as blue as perhaps I would have liked, it was still as juicy as an early 2000s velour tracksuit. It was served with fries (crispy like an ex-pat on the Costa del Sol), a wedge of lettuce with a cheeky chilli dressing, and this thing called an onion loaf, which sounds exactly like what it is: crispy onions in loaf form. Sensational Jeff. My wife lost the argument about who was driving so i dove headfirst into an Argentinian Malbec which slipped down oh so nicely. We skipped pudding because i’m tight and we’d had a rather unhealthy week so I suggested a healthy pudding at home as an alternative. Cue disappointment from my children: plus ça change. Anyway, I digress: we had a great time Miller & Kerfluffle, with exceptional service and guidance from Georgia en route to culinary happiness. We will be back, but might leave the kids at home next time.

Nice atmosphere. Food was good, not as hot as we would have liked but tasty. Server was abit stand offish to begin with but warmed up nicely. Thank you.

The service is beyond good! Mauro was our waiter and he navigated through us on the Menu! He recommended us a 16oz ribeye and Tbone all the side dishes were amazing, the beef is juice and beautifully done! The chef needs an award. We really would like to thank Mauro his amazing work and kindness! Truly an amazing person who deserves all the credit. Thank you

Beware the wine is £14 a glass. There is no place on this report to give a stars for the drinks. Food was good but as our bill included expensive drinks cost it was too expensive.

Tried our luck on a random Wednesday night, greeted by a absolutely lovely Italian host who I’m afraid I’ve forgotten the name of but he was so welcoming and friendly he asked straight away about any gluten allergies which I do have and got me a specific menu before showing us to our table. He explained about the menus and the steak and date night menu and how it worked with the gluten free options for me. He was super helpful so I didn’t have to ask a millions questions. Then our waiter Octavian came over he was also lovely chatty, really polite and helpful letting us know exactly what he was doing like getting our drinks and then coming back so we could order. Etc. he also checked my allergy and made sure he noted everything on the order as he went through. And generally I just really appreciated his time he was clearly doing his job and helping to close down the restaurant as it was late night (but I only noticed that I think because I work in hospitality too) but he took the time to chat with us and was just a very well trained waiter. I also want to say what good value I thought the steak and date menu is - it’s available Wednesdays and Thursdays I think, it’s great value for three courses and a good selection of options still - even for a gluten free! And my favourite part was that they have a gluten free sticky toffee pudding. I can’t remember the last time I went to a restaurant and was able to have a decent pudding- don’t get me wrong I love a crème brûlée but when that and ice cream Are your only two options and sometimes it’s just ice cream it gets you down abit! I was so excited to have the sticky toffee pudding- I had it with vanilla custard and my partner had ice cream both were beautiful. Really impressed with the whole service so thank you all again I’m sure we’ll be back!!!

Came in for my mum’s birthday, served by Burcu, she was really attentive and amazing with us all, had a laugh with us which was lovely, a definite credit to the restaurant! food was also delicious. all around amazing visit!❤️

We’re not from this area but we love Miller & Carter so thought we’d have dinner here while on a camping trip. Amazing restaurant. Our host was fantastic - humorous and knowledgeable, and the food was delicious and presented like a piece of art. Brilliant job.

We are travelling from Liverpool to Southampton to pick up our cruise ship with Royal Caribbean tomorrow, we stopped her for little snack late lunch and we received excellent customer service from The front of house manager but more so from our waiter Gonzales, is from Madeira and gave us loads of hints & tips on what food to go for and where to go in Madeira, we where very impressed, so thank you Gonzales and well done to Miller & Carter, excellent food & service service.

Aliha served us tonight and was lovely and welcoming! Gave my dad a nice birthday surprise with his dessert by adding extra and a birthday message. Food was lovely everyone enjoyed every bit. Thank you Aliha

Luke and Bujeau and Caitlyn did such a beautiful job serving my husband and I tonight! Luke really knows his menu and did a great job navigating the tech for checkout. I can’t speak highly enough of the food and the service. Whoever did menu development for this place did a truly beautiful job, the pork belly was exceptional and beautifully plated, the steak with the sides was so tasty, my husband enjoyed the burger and the chunky chips, and everything was handled with care and enthusiasm. Any little hiccups (some due to me never having been there before) were taken care of beautifully, which is a true show of skill and grace for any staff. So delighted with my experience. It’s a rare time when I’m gonna go from going because of a gift card to coming back because the place was fabulous! The one star ding on atmosphere is just a note on the physical plant—the carpet could use a refresh, the lights above tables could use a little polish, and it would be fun to have the little oil lights on the tables lit, but honestly barely noticed with how fab the food and service was. My huge compliments to the culinary team and to whoever chose the dish ware as the variety of plates to go with the dishes was also such a fun luxurious touch. In sum, I’ve rarely felt like a princess at a chain restaurant but dang, I did little neurodivergent happy dances throughout this whole meal, and I /did/ feel like a princess. On a Wednesday night it was so calm, lovely music, incredible food, great service, can’t recommend enough.

Caitlin was amazing, making the atmosphere feel like a home and not a restaurant. She offered to take pictures and even joked around with us and made us feel welcome. She really made my birthday dinner special and I can’t wait to come back again! Thank you Caitlin

Had the pleasure of meeting here for lunch, with an old work colleague last Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant area was quite busy and had a good atmosphere. The food, as has always been my experience both here and at other M & Cs, was tasty, cooked as requested and well presented. During our visit, we were looked after by Georgia, who was extremely efficient, courteous and helpful, providing flawless service from beginning to end. Thank you very much Georgia, we enjoyed the banter.

Easily the best steak I have ever eaten... perfectly cooked and so tender. The service was excellent also, from the gentleman who greeted us to our waitress...friendly and efficient which is rare these days. If I had to list a negative point it would be the tired looking red carpet in part of the restaurant ( carpet is a bit weird for a restaurant in my opinion ) complete with gaffer tape across a tear.

Found a voucher in my wallet, so I just popped in and ordered a steak to take away, no issues at all. Staff were happy to help.

We came for lunch and it felt very understaffed for how busy it was. Our food came out all at different times and had to chase up the main course and kids meal as it was taking a while, especially for a mac and cheese. But apart from this the food and servers were excellent.

Went to Miller and Carter on Mother's Day and the whole experience from start to finish was lovely. Angie, our server, forsaw our needs before we asked and made a real fuss of our 3 year old son, making the experience stress free for me as he had everything he needed. Food was delicious as always! We had a lovely meal celebrating my brother's 70th birthday at the Kidlington Miller & Carter. The food was excellent, and the service we received from Gonz was first class, he was very attentive and friendly. We've been to other Miller and Carter restaurants, and we have found them consistently good. Will definitely eat there again.

We had a fabulous meal for mother's day, our waiter Octavian, was absolutely fantastic. One of our party is on a strict keto diet and explained to Octavian his particular dietary needs, this was relayed to the kitchen and the food was superb. All the staff were really friendly and smiling, even though it was extremely busy. Well done to all the staff, we've always had excellent service and would highly recommend.

We visited Sunday 23rd March 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We shared the Sunday sharer which was all cooked perfectly and so tasty! All the staff were really friendly and helpful, in particular our waiter Gonz! Really helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and his friendliness made for a lovely visit

First time at Miller and Carter and it did not disappoint. We were served by Angie who was great. Really friendly and had good banter. Food came quickly and was cooked to perfection. Very good portion size too. Was very full but made room for dessert. The choc brownie is a must. Will come back again!!

The food was unreal. The staff were all so polite and kind. We did unfortunately get sat in a more child area for date night but the staff couldn't be more friendly. We would definitely go there again.

We ordered from the lunch set menu our waiter Gonz was fantastic. Very attentive and engaging. He took time to discuss the dietary requirements as one of our group of 5 has a shellfish allergy. Nothing was any trouble for him and he made the experience very enjoyable. The food was very good , served in timely manner. We didn’t have any issues with anything. I visited the restaurant with three family members who were over from Ireland for the rugby match in Cardiff. I was most impressed with the lovely welcome. We were introduced to our Portuguese waiter, I believe his name was Gonzalez. He explained everything thoroughly about the menu, and recommendations. I have to say we all went for the rib eye steaks, 30 days matured. They were the best steaks we ever had. We have been to many steak houses, but this place is top class. I have been to Miller and Carter in London. This place was by far the best. The best service, the best food, and great atmosphere. The waiter recommended wonderful desserts. They were amazing. Gonzalez was so professional, friendly, but not obtrusive, like some places. He is a credit to the establishment. We were there two years previous. We certainly will be back to this wonderful restaurant. If you are a meat lover, look no further than this restaurant. I can highly recommend it.

Went for birthday meal with my partner and had the best experience! Our server Burcu was lovely attentive polite. Food was fantastic! Ate every bite! Served drinks by Salem/Millie and she was funny and great service. Caitlin served me cocktails at the bar after dinner. She was great at recommendations really knew her stuff and the cocktails were amazing. Great atmosphere over all so glad I had my birthday meal here on the 8th. We have already booked again for our anniversary!
