Lovely place for taking mum and dad to for lunch and or dinner

I came with a group of friends and had a wonderful lunch. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The students were helpful and knowledgeable. It is well worth a visit and we will certainly be returning soon. Well done to all concerned, the tutors, chefs and waiting staff. A real team effort. Thank you.

We have been coming here for years being local to the area. However we hadn’t been for a while but it was just as good as it was. I like to see the students as they progress through their training It is good to have something a bit different and its is certainly good value for money If you like lingering over your food then book the earliest slot.

Excellent training collage which is shown by the brilliant Xmas lunch we had. It does the students and staff great credit. Really exceptional was the Cranbury source, the best i have ever had and the mince pies. The Christmas pudding was also a dream. Now why cannot our local restaurants do the same ??? I will see how our Christmas lunch at a nearby 4 star hotel compares, for what it costs it should.

First Thursday service for this group of students and WOW, what amazing food and sweet service. Book in, you won't be disappointed. (Wear big dresses / stretchy trousers and go for the full 3 courses)

For a training catering college the food is excellent, fresh ingredients prepared to a professional standard. The waiters are young, polite and keen to ensure you have the best experience with them

Food excellent. Vegetarian options. Trainees were polite, served us well, asked if we needed anything and if everything was ok. Staff kept a discreet eye on them. Good to see such a professional training establishment.

Another amazing meal from Clyde & his team. Eating at the Trevenson is an experience not to be missed, this professional friendly team create the perfect dining experience. The food is superb, every course was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. What an asset to Cornwall College the Trevenson Restaurant is!

Excellent food, service and setting. It does the collage and students credit. Lets hope what they learn here they will take with them to the catering industry. We had their Xmas Lunch the turkey was cooked to perfection. Mince pie's to die for, the custard with the Xmas pud was so smooth..

Another great lunch at Trevenson with a great training team. For £10.50 for two courses I don’t know where else you would get food this good. Great value for money and a very attentive serving team. A large glass of wine £3.50! We had caprese salad, whiskey cured smoked salmon and mushroom arancini to start. Then chicken with pesto sauce and roasted vegetables and fish in a salsa verde sauce, all totally delicious. Well worth a visit during college terms.

Unusual setting in a college but high quality

We held the Rotary 'Young Chef' area competition here today. The college catering team were amazing, as were the Rotarian organisers and supporters - who did the washing up - but the kids themselves were fantastic and the venue perfect! Thank you!

Excellent food and superb silver service lunch. The students were top class today. Better than many restaurants.

A great training restaurant to visit and enjoy a meal

What a lovely meal. Food well cooked an well presented. The serving staff were very attentive and professional. A very well done for our group of 15 diners

Food was excellent with good choice. Lovely surroundings and very clean. Staff were friendly and prices such good value for money.

Excellent cuisine and surroundings, and at good prices too. Remember that most of the staff are inexperienced and are learning the profession, so exercise a degree more patience than you perhaps would with more established personnel. My wife and I have eaten here several times and will gladly continue to do so.

This is my second review of this restaurant. In my previous one I was less pleased. This visit was also at a time when the restaurant was very visit but it was so much better organised and I could not fault the service. I thought too that the overall presentation of the main plate was so much better. (Perhaps the previous visit had been on an off day) In all respects the service, attentive and friendly together with the meal was without fault. My only gripe was that it was a cold day in February and the queue to enter became so long that the two sets of entry doors were open at the same time. We were on a table in line with them and the cold air was uncomfortably noticeable.

I have eaten here a number of times without being disappointed. It is part of Pool College, the students are learning, but overseen by tremendous instructors. My last visit was with a group of people who came to have lunch with the Lib Dem MP Norman Lamb. I am very careful what I eat and I can say the fish dish was the best I have ever tasted. If you get a chance, do go.

We were a party of 17 women from the WI going out for lunch. From the ‘front of house’ onwards we were treated extremely appropriately. The students were very polite, courteous and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them and if they didn’t know the answer they found someone who did. The food was excellent, delicious and well presented. It was a really positive experience and these young people deserve a great future in their chosen career.

Lunch today. 7 course taster menu. Thoughtful selections beautifully designed and cooked. Nervously but competently served and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Well done. It is always such a p!easure to share the Trevenson experience. Thanks to a great team.

Trevenson restaurant is Cornwall colleges catering students working classroom. Opened by Nathan Outlaw, the students are being trained to a high standard if the food is anything to go by. Please be mindful that these are students, including the waiting staff. The service will be a bit "different", but relax, let it slide and just enjoy yourself. Unlike one of the rude guests who started to shout at the manager, despite her party of 12 turning up 40 minutes late - just because she thought her drink had been taken away. Anyhow, the food is awesome and great value. I had Lamb shank which was done to perfection. The chocolate mousse was not on point though. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a holiday on the beautiful Penwith coast and Trevenson Restaurant provided the perfect meal to round off the week. Cornish fish fresh from the sea with flavour combinations that excelled. Starters: Mackerel with red and golden beet and orange sauce looked beautiful and tasted even better. Cornish hogs pudding scotch egg was perfectly cooked and presented. Main Course: Delicate lemon sole was allowed to shine with green beans and a subtle sauce and took us back to the sea at Penwith as did the mussels which were a feast. How to follow this? Dessert: A light fresh Eton mess and a lemon posset topped with perfectly set lemon jelly. Beautifully presented cheese board with quality cheese and red onion chutney and a mention for the delicious olive focaccia. What skills from the students! Front of house were great too. Recommend you treat yourself.

Excellent and cheap food, obviously this is a training environment and the staff were made up of students. The students could have been more alert, the tutors were very very attentive.

Went here with friends for a pre-Christmas get together, couldn't have chosen a better venue. Where else in Cornwall could you get 5 courses of fantastic food along with fantastic service for £18? Nowhere, is the answer. The team of students did a great job, the food was tremendous, beautifully presented, very attentive and accommodating, only shame is that they're not open every night!! Well done Cornwall College team, you deserve it.

Went her with office buddies for Xmas lunch. Amazing menu. Lovely food cooked and served by students. Awesome value for money... 5 courses for only £18! Highly recommend if you have time... it's a luxurious 2 hour lunch 😀

Oí hablar de este lugar de un amigo y decidí darle una oportunidad, tratamiento de un amigo a comer. Como este es un establecimiento de formación, tienes que reservar (y registro). Son principalmente un restaurante abierto mediodía pero son algunos miércoles a menudo con un tema especial.

No te pierdas este restaurante situado en el campus de college cornwall en Camborne. Es atendido por estudiantes en formación y fueron muy profesionales, agradable, un poco tímido pero una absoluta delicia. La comida era de muy buen nivel de comedor a un precio muy razonable. Yo tenía el cerdo que era deliciosa, tierna y suculenta, mi esposa lo disfrutamos el pasteles de pescado que estaba bien presentado con una ensalada, estoy aseguró que los desiertos eran tan delicioso como parecían. No dudaría en recomendar este restaurante. Por cierto, el vino tinto "Escupiendo" tiene que ser Spider probado.

Excellent facility, completely run by students who cook and serve with professionalism. I had an absolutely delicious meal and only £12.50 for three courses. Amazing quality and value fine dining.

Esta fue una experiencia realmente encantador y el personal, que entender son todavía capacitación, era muy profesional y atento. La comida fue excelente, nos tanto comenzó con pasteles de pescado con salsa salsa dulce que eran excelentes. Yo tenía bacalao y mi pareja tenía cerdo, de nuevo muy bien presentado y muy sabroso. Los deliciosos postres y petit fours servidos con café completó una comida perfecta, que sólo puede ser descrito como restaurantes. Ambos altamente este establecimiento y esperamos volver pronto.

We booked a table here and after reading about the Nathan Outlaw Academy students that train here I was really looking forward to it. Sadly it was very disappointing.The students are responsible for ordering, cooking and serving the food and unfortunately they didn't quite get it right on the night we visited. Lots of ingredients were missing off the menu, some off food was poorly cooked and I thought the service was very poor. I had baked cod for my main which was good but that was the exception. The price is very good aswell but I would rather pay more and have guaranteed quality.

My husband and I have had 2 meals here and recommend with 5 star service and food quality. The students are a credit to the college.On both occasions we have been the food has been second to none and the freshly baked bread which you can also buy to take away is beautiful. Menu is varied and presented to a very high standard.Would I recommend to friends and family most definitely. Thank you to all the students and staff.

We booked a table for a party of 5 last week for lunch. The menu was very good, I chose squid to start, a pork noodle dish followed by lemon tart for dessert. All were beautifully cooked, presented and served. The wine was delicious. The students did very well under the guidance of a tutor who kept an eye on the proceedings with just the right level of help and advice so that they got it right. We were all very happy with our choices and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.I wish I lived nearer and I would also visit the hair and beauty salon.

Lunch with friends was my first visit to the College restaurant,we had, over the period when a major refurbishment was in process,often intended to try it out.The silver service section was spotless,table staff near perfect and the food just above average.It seems they operate a limited allotment of say Steak, so as on this occasion when my turn came to order they had reached the amount alloted,shame ,perhaps when a large group books they could be asked to pre select?.That aside it was a pleasant experience and will certainly go again.

We visited here on Wednesday evening and were both seated in reception.We were quickly shown to our seats by Shaun,a fantastic student with a lot of potential who shone all evening.We ordered our starters,my wife ordered the seafood soup and i ordered the squid in batter.The mains arrived in decent time,i had the cod with ratatouille whilst my wife had the teriyaki chicken.Then the desserts turned up.I had my usual favourite,the blueberry cheesecake whilst my wife had the chocolate mousse.I have to say that in all my years of eating in different restaurants this food was as good as i have ever tasted...and i mean this sincerely.It was a pure delight,especially my dessert.I would like to say a big thank you to all of the staff and students who cooked for us on this great evening.....and a bigger thank you to the brilliant chef....Tracy Page who regularly checked with us if everything was ok.A fantastic evening......and thank you too Shaun!!visited 22nd April 2015.

This place was ok, I was doing a 20 week course, and this was the only place to have lunch, food was reasonably priced, but to me-not enough variety to choose from, most weeks I could only have fish n chips as it was all I liked on the menu.

Extremely impressed with this lovely restaurant. Lovely smiley helpful front of house team and beautifully cooked food. Will be going back. Thank you for a lovely experience and excellent food at fantastic prices.

Had the pork belly for lunch...Wow! the crackling crackled and the pork melted in the mouth. The portions are extremely generous and the students really look after you. Some may be put off as it’s a training restaurant but the quality and taste is better than most restaurants i've been too, whilst paying three times the cost.

Visited the restaurant after learning about it via a facebook competition. It is a restaurant at Cornwall College designed to teach students the art of fine dining cookery and service in readiness for employment. Had a three course lunch which was beautifully cooked and very well served by a group of young students. £11.50 for three courses and a coffee. Fabulous lunch and next time will try the evening a la carte menu.Well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed by what these young people are achieving.Wasn't sure about tipping at such a venue but spoke to lady in charge of front of house and was advised that tipping is acceptable and tips are used to help students cover travel and equipment costs such a good idea and as they undertake their tasks with a smile on their faces howm could you not recognise that!!!!!!!

Had lunch for my partner s birthday there it was amazing and staggeringly good value for money. The restaurant has just been rebuilt the decor is beautiful. Students do the cooking and serving we couldn't fault them. But then this is home to Academy Nathan Outlaw!

A amazing experience, all provided by students and trainee chefs, and worth a visit..Cornwall College are by a mile the best providers of catering students in the county with local , national and international reputation...remember this is a training restaurant ...and we all have had to learn a trade, no role play here ..everything is for real and the quality just shines through as does the students and staff enthusiasm.The food is amazing , freshly prepared and cooked , very good value for money as well
