We went for a roast on Mother’s Day. I think it’s was pricey for what we had, £17:95 For a standard roast and over £8 for a slice of cheese cake. It wasn’t very hot either. The service was lovely, the two girls were really professional and poliete I agree with other reviews here that it’s not as good as it was and would i return? I wouldn’t for a roast

Very disappointed with our visit today. We were wanting to take our daughter in law for brunch, and assumed this would be a great place by previous experience. Turns out, breakfast finishes at 1030, and lunch then starts at 1145. Anything in between is just cake and coffee. We decided to wait for lunch. Wish we hadn’t bothered. Having had to wait to be seated by a rather grumpy / abrupt member of staff, we sat waiting for ages to get someone to take our order, and had to flag one of the few members of staff down. This was meet with a rather rushed order, and turn up of the nose when we asked for a jug of water. My husband ordered fish cakes, my daughter in law and I had wraps. Nothing came with chips, so we had to order these separately. When food turned up it was ok, although chips were anything but chunky and fresh. Over cooked and the scraggy ends too. Didn’t look very nice, but were told that’s how they come? As soon as we finished our very mediocre food, the waitress who had been absent at the start, almost couldn’t wait to get rid of us - with a £50 bill for two fish cakes and two wraps, and a further £15.90 for two pieces of cake, we felt exceptionally let down. What was supposed to be a nice meal was overpriced, over cooked in parts, and poor service. This was out of season end of March, so God knows how they will cope in high season, and when the “pick your own” season kicks in. To add insult to injury, there must be an extremely high amount of salt or MSG used as my DIL and I felt so thirsty all afternoon, the way you feel after a cheap Chinese takeaway. REALLY POOR, and nothing like we remembered from past visits. Feel let down and ripped off. Won’t be returning ever for food.

We were very happy with our meal and our experience here! We were given generous portions and felt so clean and healthy after eating (important to me). I was very happy with my soup and gf bread. Portions were generous and reflected the price. At our table of 5, no favorite could be picked, especially with our group loving the pigs in blanket (kids), creamy squash mash, Yorkshire pudding, the turkey or beef, or the roasted squash, parsnip, and apple soup. Dessert was definitely taken to-go as we had no space in our stomaches but could not pass up the many wonderful options! Especially having so many GF options. We could not stay for dessert because we had to check-in to our hotel and put the kids to bed.

Just a quick review. We attended the farm in March, nice atmosphere, nice shop and nice restaurant. We sat outside for coffee, sausage bap and croissant; all very nice. My problem is the No Dog inside policy, the website says ‘as you would expect’ no dogs inside….that’s very arrogant. A vast number of restaurants pubs cafes allow and encourage dogs, they are very out of touch with potential customers. Need I say we didn’t and will not be going back.

The breakfast is absolutely gorgeous. The only thing that spoilt it was we were sitting in the room where the till is and there were some new staff that were assigned to organising the cutlery between the front door and the inner door. The girls were trying to be helpful by holding both the front door and the inner door open for customers but they held both doors open for a long time each time and it was happening frequently and it made a very cold draft for the people sat in the room where the till is. I mentioned it at the time but the waitress didn't seem to understand, She just said "everyone is trying to do their best" and she walked off and did nothing about it and both doors continued being held opened frequently. The reason why the restaurant has a front door and an inner door is so as one door closes the other one opens so the cold doesn't blow straight through. It might be more helpful if the girls don't hold both those doors open at the same time and just let the customers open the doors themselves and the front door and the inner door will serve its designed purpose of keeping the customers in the restaurant warm and draught free.

A regular to Trevaskis over decades. Occasional great lunches, staff always attentive. Feb's visit as with last novembers were both very dissapointing and i very politely passed on why when i was asked.. Servings of meat roasts fall very short of acceptable when the majority of the servings meat is riddled with chewy fat. Veg was lovely and varied as ever, but what should be premium organic food should be wholesome and of quality throughout. Was offerred an additional serving but felt accepting might be misread. I do hope someone takes note, the resturant must take care to trim out meat that is not likely to compliment an otherwise excellent offering. Best wishes.

As locals we always support local businesses and booked a table for my husband’s birthday. I ordered the duck stir fry off the wok section , I’ve had this before so knew it would be nice. I was extremely disappointed when it came - at a cost of nearly £25 there were 5 small pieces of duck. It tasted nice but it was extremely over priced for what it was. Others in the group did enjoy their meals. I didn’t say anything as I have read the reviews on social media and the staff and manger seem to blame the customer. Needless to say we will be supporting other better local business in future. I’m not sure what’s happened at Trevaskis but it needs to go back to how it was.

Extremely disappointed!! We have always supported Trevaskis Farm for as long as I can remember (40years plus). However, we went to celebrate my mum’s 85th birthday on Friday 31st. I must add our waitress was lovely and very friendly however she was quite obviously rushed off her feet. We all ordered starters. My mum being elderly asked for two starters to come out as a main, instead, the starters ordered as a main, came all together. I ordered the vegan haggis (this was delicious) however the ‘neeps’ were virtually raw! I couldn’t cut into them. Never mind I thought, we order the potato dauphinois and the mixed veg of broccoli and carrots. Now the broccoli was not only stone cold it was barely cooked!!! The carrots fared slightly better, definitely more al dente / raw than usual. My mum’s partner ordered a pint of tribute and I ordered a glass of Chardonnay, well he received a pint of lager and my wine never materialised until we chased it up. We also asked for serving spoons for the sides, twice. When we went up to look at what desserts were available and were told very abruptly to go and sit down! Unfortunately what should have been a special meal celebrating my mum’s birthday was an absolute shambles. Over £200 was spent on this meal, we are loath to return anytime soon.

5 christmas meals, 2 kids meals. 1 soup starter came out cold, 4 pork bites starters came out cold. Waitress told us wrong vegetables with meal, child's steak meal smelt and tasted vile (got told some rubbish that it was hung for 28 days and we clearly didn't know what the taste was, this was by the rude owner) beef roast was pale and thin and had a horrible taste, Yorkshire puddings were hard and stale yet we were told they were fresh that evening. I asked if I could change my meal and got told no as I had eaten most of it (this was untrue as I had a half of the Yorkshire pudding and a bite out of the meat and i left the rest) I was then told I wouldn't like the pork (the owner didn't know me and judged me as she looked down on us all) My brother-in-law had the pork and after the first one came out black and burnt he got another and it was yummy (I tasted it to ask if i could change my meal, i was then told the kitchen was closed, the owner lied as it wasnt and signs stated kitchen was open until 8:30pm ) the owner came over looking for a fight and was so rude and wouldn't listen, she spoke over me and had no intention of listening. We wish we had looked at the reviews before as alot of others said it was cheap and unpleasant tasting food with a manager/owner who was so rude. Will certainly not be returning and would NOT recommend! Cost £170 for 5 starters/5 drinks/2 bread rolls and 2 kids meals. So overpriced for the cheapest and vile tasting food! Was my sisters birthday and we left the restaurant as we were made to feel so uncomfortable and spoken to like she had trodden in us on her shoe! I would avoid at all costs! We should have realised when the car park and restaurant was empty when we turned up that was a bad sign!

Disgusting/cheap food, owner/manager has a disgusting attitude and spoken to the guests like dirt. It clearly has changed hands and uses the cheapest meat and potatoes, have been to Trevaskis many times and this is the worst experience here. We certainly won't be back and would definitely not recommend! When trying to explain to the manager what the issue was she continuously spoke over us and would not listen. I asked for a different dish and was told at 7:30pm that the kitchen was closed and that I would not eat it. However, she does not know me and how dare she speak to me like she did! Attitude of the owner absolutely awful!

I've used Trevaskis Farm a number of times and on the last visit had their set Christmas lunch. I've never had to wait for a table - I've always booked online and table service has always been efficient, friendly and attentive. Nowhere half decent in Cornwall is cheap these days if you are looking for food but if I have a complaint its that although there is plenty of food on your plate, roast meals are bulked out with too much veg. I would sooner have more meat and pay a bit more. Their dessert counter is still impressive and if you can't manage to eat it there and then they do take-aways. I will go back but as my wife commented after our last visit, her Christmas dinner tastes better! She's right aswell. Finally, if you have never been before and are worried about parking there's no need to. Plenty of spaces including several wide berths for blue badge holders.

Very mixed bag. Saw the farm animals which was nice. Stopped in the restaurant as well and asked for a table, the waitress asked what we were intending to have and we said some of the cake we'd heard so much about but not sure entirely yet. She sat us at a table and proceeded to take away all the place settings, cutlery and menus.... I said can I have a lunch menu please to see what there is. She rolled her eyes and said but I've just taken your cutlery away. She bought us back one set of cutlery for four people and one menu, presumably because only one of the four had mentioned having lunch. The food that did come was good, although there was a very long wait but given the benefit of the doubt as it was very busy. When we went to pay we asked if the cake leftovers could be boxed as our four year old couldn't finish it. We were handed a box and a spoon and motioned to do it elsewhere ourselves. We then went to the farm shop.... It looked great, we bought a basket of 'fresh produce' and chicken thighs from the butchers. The butchers raised an eyebrow as the aprons they wore were filthy and clearly crusted in old meat, and alot of the meat looked dated to say the least. However it had good review from the great taste awards so we went ahead. Come the evening (same day) none of the produce was usable. The groceries were all either mouldy inside the packs or rancid. The chicken thighs were off, even our dogs who will eat anything discarded them. If you want an average place for a trip out locally for lunch it's probably worth it but not at what they charge. Avoid the shop it you don't want to get sick. We are not tourists either, we live within miles of the venue.

Unfortunately my plate was swamped in gravy, maybe I should have asked for a separate gravy bowl. I had pork and found it tough and overall the veg lacked flavour. The portion size was good and the food was delivered plated. The most annoying thing for me was the background noise from staff shouting instructions to each other plus one particular noisey lady customer behind us. The overall noise level ruined the experience, but added to that was the queue to pay on the way out. Maybe I'm in the minority as the restaurant was very busy.

This was our first visit and it was packed. We came for tea and cake and initially saw an amazing array of cakes. We were offered a table in the main room, but it was incredibly noisy and asked to go to the conservatory, this was quieter but still too loud for conversation. Need some sound deadening. I ordered a cream tea, my wife a tea and apricot tart. My wife's tea arrived without milk, ten minutes later we asked for milk and it came. Fifteen minutes later her tart arrived and after chasing again my cream tea came. I was pleased with the scones and cream, but couldn't understand why a farm shop and cafe with home grown fruit would give out jam in single use small jars, what a waste. Surely you would turn your unsold fruit into jam and use it in the cafe. We did visit the shop afterwards and get a few items, but really it could be so much better.

My wife and I have been to Trevaskis farm at least twice a year for the last 6 years or so. We kept coming back as the breakfast was amazing and the farm shop has some excellent produce. This year breakfast (both times we went) was terrible. It’s as if they have lost their pride and good standards. Breakfast is £14 and it isn’t worth £7.00. The eggs were precooked and very over, the bacon was like rubber, the beans were luke warm, mushrooms were deep fried and the potatoes were so scarce it was hardly worth adding them. It’s a shame as it used to be phenomenal. I was going to complain but a man with 4 kids complained and he wasn’t listened to. In the end he just said he wouldn’t pay. I couldn’t do that but I wish I could. The staff were great, the place itself is lovely but the food was absolutely awful (dreadful even) on both our holidays this year. Go back to how you were doing things 3 years ago is my advice. Big portions (cooked with care) of all your lovely produce and sourdough toast. It was a winner. At the very least you have to up your standards. I know I have been brutally honest but we both love coming to your farm. We have even dined at night a few times. Really hope you listen to this review as it is meant to be a kindness from customers that care.

We enjoyed the pick-your-own berries! Covered picking areas, so it was fun despite the rain.

Had Fish cakes they looked lovely but they were extremely dry and rather tasteless. For pudding had the Cherry Chocolate Roulade which was disappointing it need more cream and cherry through it to give it more taste. All looked delicious but sadly didn't match up to what it looked like.

Made a trip here over the weekend for lunch with friends. I had not been here for at least 8 years and it appeared to be the same quality and comparable prices. None of us were dissapointed with our meal choice (all had dirty fries). Then chose cakes to takeaway - all had different and happy with our choices. Would return with no hesitation. Called in to the farm shop before we left - very good selection of products.

Overpriced and disappointing. Some friends recommended this restaurant as being very good. Sadly that’s not what we got. My son ordered a chicken burger, no salad or mayo. When it arrived the plate was covered with salad and the burger had a large leaf plonked in it. My husband did better, he ordered the burger which actually looked impressive and he said it was ok. The downside to both their meals was the fact the portion size of chips were really small. When you’re paying £16.95 you’d at least think you’d get adult sized portion and not a child’s! I ordered the baked potato with prawns and requested extra butter. The small potato had clearly been microwaved, had some really hard bits at one end that a knife couldn’t get through and needed cooking for a bit longer as the potato was still hard. No extra butter as requested. Nearly £4 for a coffee! Young staff trying their best but the chefs need a telling off!

Trevaskis farm used to be amazing, expensive, but amazing. Now it is expensive and disappointing. Sadly they have fallen into the trap like so many others in Cornwall, prices through the roof and portions and quality an afterthought. What a shame, had the standard roast 2 potatoes and very little chicken for about £17 if I remember right!! Think I will be giving this a miss in future.

Average food, actually disappointing for a Roast Farm Shop and way over priced too, staff lovely though. Bought a few things in the shop, again very very expensive

We came tonight had the set menu was all good apart from the pork main. Did not have enough jus just a trickle around the plate when I have sauce I like to taste it, also the pork was cook to inch of its life very dry and burnt. Dessert was lovely and the pork starter was nice 3 1inch cubes.

Went there for the market side and fruit picking. They have got a great variety of products at correct prices. The fruit picking was so much fun and they were so tasty. We didn’t try the restaurant as we thought the price was steep for what it was ( plain potato for £8). Definitely recommend the fruit picking and market.

Been coming to Trevaskis for many years. Always great food and service. Unfortunately not the same this year. Understandably food prices have gone up considerably with the current climate, but did feel a bit over priced. Emailed the farm regarding matters and they replied very promptly with in depth justifications. We did love the strawberry/raspberry/plum picking though and kids loved seeing the animals on the little farm. Coffee was great and the cake was amazing- malteser cake; which we got to take away.

We were on holiday in the area and came across this when looking for a restaurant for Sunday lunch. One of the best ones we have had, nice meat (I am fussy) and all the trimmings. We even returned the next Sunday for another lunch, we normally eat somewhere different every day on holiday but this was so good we went again.

Great produce with local food beautifully cooked. Never had to chase the staff as attentive & very helpful. Highly recommend as it has a nice atmosphere with a clean modern look. The desert to die for & highly recommend even to take home as we are always full but can't resist while walking past big selection. Also loads of parking with easy access. We had a great valentine's day. Just had a fantastic Sunday breakfast all with local produce!

Location ,staff are all very good Food is too expensive They charge dearly for any extras ie toasted cheese sandwich £11.95 They charged £1.45 for tomato and £1.45 for onion - when I complained they knocked off the tomato charge. It would of made a toasted cheese, tomato and onion sandwich £14.85 - that's ridiculous !!

Service was prompt and friendly, and the food arrived quickly. We ordered ham eggs and chips and a roast. Both were OK but nothing special. The ham was quite salty and the chips were a little soggy, with the roast it was evident that the beef had been cooked the day before and smothered with gravy. I also found it strange that we were asked to pay (and add a gratuity) as we ordered. How could we add a tip when we didn’t know how good the service would be? I’m left with mixed feelings. I would return, but I wouldn’t rush back.

Appreciated we were close to the end of serving breakfast etc but the Bacon and the Sausages were Luke warm at best. The Eggs were hard and I mean hard. And the bread was that dry we had to literally cut the crusts off. Coffee very good Service was good But overall experience was poor

We loved our visit to Trevaskis Farm! We stopped for a cream tea, this was good but could have had a bit more cream and jam and the scones were a bit crumbly. When we were attacked by wasps outside a waitress very kindly helped us and took our things inside to eat. We then went to the fruit picking which was quite scarce at first, but so glad we wandered further to find the gorgeous strawberries and raspberries! Two small baskets only came to just over £12, which we agreed for the experience, quality of the fruit etc was very reasonable. We then went into the farm shop which had incredible choice, however we couldn't find scrumpy or farm fresh eggs, whether they didn't have it at the time or just not at all we weren't sure. Would love to come again!

The fruit picking was amazing and is priced well. We managed to get 4 punnets of strawberries 1 box of plums and 1 box of runner beans for £16 . But we got tired halfway and stopped in the restaurant. The waitress we had was good but it felt like she was looking down on us like we were lesser then them . We ordered some a 4 child drinks 2 soft drinks and 2 hot drinks we also ordered us all (8 people) a cake .on the menu the cakes are listed as being £5.95 for children yet even after we specifically said 6 of the 8 cakes for for children the waitress still put them on for an adult price (£6.95) .all in all the total was £81 . We wanted to get a manager since we wanted to know why they were put on as an adult cake . This manager look down on us and said "well the kids seem to of eaten them" and sure they did but that wasn't the point the point was that the waitress knew we wanted the cakes as child sizes not adult .we ended up paying £80 the manager took of £1 🤦‍♀️
