I did not stay at this hotel but met two friends who had stayed the night for breakfast, as we were meeting up to attend a funeral later that morning. Breakfast was very poor , the toast had been griddled not toasted, and already had butter on!! The poached eggs did not have a runny yolk and the bread tasted weird. We ordered 2 coffees as well which were fine. When I paid for the breakfast I was shocked at the £25 requested . Normally I would have complained but as I was going to attend a best friends funeral so was not in the mood for confrontation. Very disappointing

Great menu, all home made meals Sian landlady is very friendly and helpful. Staff helpful and caring. Very Clean local pub. Highly recommend . Prosecco 👌

Bar snacks for the win!! Atmosphere was excellent watching both the rugby & football. Service was excellent & everyone was welcoming.

We didn't have food. This is a pub for locals but we were made very welcome. It had a big screen showing sport but that didn't detract from the welcoming atmosphere.

Race the train! Went up with a large group and all headed to pub early. We have two small children who need to eat. They didnt do food so searched everywhere for some and took it back to pub with us for them to eat in a quite corner while 30 of us played pool and had a lovely time.....but no! We were told they couldnt eat in there........ I mean come on!! They are children and it wasnt hurting anyone. What a warm welcome

No food served so only had crisps. Small but busy little pub with a great atmosphere. It became our local on our brief visit to the area.

Great pub with well kept cask ale and friendly staff. All way clean and tidy, sometimes the opportunity for a bit of banter with other regulars.

We visited as a family of 5 adults for Sunday lunch. We did book in and we were glad we did as it was busy. There is a choice of 3 meats and you can have a mixture if you like. We had beef, lamb and turkey and it was all lovely. There was plenty of grey and a good choice of vegetables and a yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes. There was a dessert menu but noone had space!!

Very good pint of Snowdonia Ale

To start with this place serves the best Sunday lunch in the area which includes Aberdovy. Great pint of Snowdonia and always spotless. Staff are warm and friendly with a great traditional atmosphere.

Booked in for an Easter Sunday lunch with family while on holiday. it was absolutely amazing. Everyone enjoyed it especially the gravy, they have a great selection of gin and the biscoff cheesecake is delicious. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back.

Very clean tables and evidently fairly recently decorated pub, but at just after 4pm on a weekday afternoon a group of local gents in there were very noisy and got louder and more offensive the more they drank. Bit off putting really.

Great little pub with a great vibe, football shown on a large screen in one area, seating in another and a pool room in another! Will be visiting again surely.

On arrival I was given a warm welcome by Michelle and shown to a large, clean double room, it was well furnished with a nice en-suite. The steak dinner was simply superb, washed down with a nice pint of IPA. with views over The Valley. In the morning there was a substantial and very tasty full Welsh Breakfast. All in all a lovely stay.

Friendly staff, tables wiped down after customers left ready for next to arrive. Good selection of beer.

As a visitor to the town, I popped in with my children for a quick drink. I was hoping to get something to eat but, sadly, food is not served here. The beer was nice (Purple Moose) and the lady at the bar was friendly and nice. My only slightly negative observation was that there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke, presumably blowing in from wherever the smoking area is. On a more positive note, there was a TV which was showing Olympic highlights. I'm sure I'll visit again.

Very easy covid safe place with tables of upto four divided from the next by screens. This is safer than the Welsh government rule for a max six

Nice food a little basic . Try again after covid 19 restrictions have been lifted.

Went in for Sunday lunch today on bases of other reviews. Food was extremely good, lamb delicious, beer was good and staff very friendly. It was nice and quiet too, just background conversations. Highly recommended for the food. Oh and the deserts were great too!

We had tried unsuccessfully to find some hand pumped real ale before our evening meal in Tywyn on our return we passed the Tredegar Arms and remembering a review that said don’t be put off by the exterior we went in! Inside it was buzzing, lots of happy drinkers. My husband spotted the Purple Moose on the pump and was very happy. This would be our local in Tywyn!

Called in for Sunday lunch and it was very good, generous portions and fair price. A selection of real Beers are available, all served by lovely friendly staff. The only negative point is that during the weekdays the don't open until 3 pm.

Friendly basic pub selling a local Welsh Ale (Purple Moose). Sunny basic outdoor searing area to the rear.

My dream Welsh pub, no nonsense pretentiousnouss here. as an outsider to Tywyn I have always received a very warm welcome to the Tredegar, great beers and comfy chairs. A solid watering hole for the warm spirited.

If your in Tywyn go and have the Sunday Lunch at the Tredegar Arms, you certainly won't be disappointed. Can't fault it with a great selection.

Fab Sunday roast, highly recommend

We were a little unsure on what to expect from the Sunday roast as read mixed reviews. We arrived early with only a few people in the pub, sat down and ordered our dinner (I had the welsh lamb) they have 3 sizes, kids, small or large. I ordered a large and wow the portion size was brilliant, I can not fault the food and service and would highly recommend, proper decent home cooked traditional roast with great selection of drinks, every condiment you want, even ketchup as the little one asked for it

The Tredegar is the most friendly pub in Towyn. The food is delicious and the staff are great. When in Wales we visit regularly and will continue to do so.

What can I say if you want a real good old home cooked sunday lunch then this is the place to GO..my family and I have been there twice in the two weeks we have been in towyn.It was cooked to perfection,served promptly,very hot and served with a big smile xx It is an old style pub with locals but this is what I find to be more interesting and we didn't have any problems with the locals the were very friendly and chatty the owner and her husband came to have a chat. Overall I give a big thumps up👍👍 WELL DONE.

I have attended Tredegar arms on for one of a major company for Tywyn area Christmas dinner (2/12/2017). The food was lovely the owner even put Christmas songs especially for us. thank you Sian and member of staff looking after us.

Always our favourite pub to visit in Tywyn nice to have a game of pool!!

Walked into this pub in Tywyn with my elderly in laws after reading other Trip advisor reviews of the good pub food...OMG have never felt so like outsiders & unwelcome in all my years of holidaying in the UK. It felt like everyone stopped what they were doing as we walked in & when we went to sit down people started laughing at us...having asked if they served food we were told "no" in the most derogatory & condescending tone EVER. DO NOT GO in this establishment unless u live within 10 foot of the place..they should have a sign outside saying "locals only" they don't serve food or human beings. Me & my husband both work in the customer service industry...my God you have a lot to learn...get in the 21st century..there's money to be made from us mere tourists!!! I have never written a review like this...how sad.

Had to get away while work being done and picked Tywyn as been here as a child went to the Tredegar on first night and was made to feel welcome ate there the night after and food was very good would recommend

Hemos aprobado este pub muchas veces sin entrar como su decoración exterior parecía un poco cansado. Nos aventuramos en una comida de domingo y nos sorprendió gratamente. Los asados del domingo eran caseras y muy generosos, usted podría elegir grandes o pequeñas. Las comidas eran muy buena relación calidad-precio. Para los amantes del fútbol, el Partido de domingo estaba disponible en una gran pantalla, para aquellos que quieran verla.

Plenty of good hot pub style food. Friendly service, no complaints, looked a bit rough from the outside but was pleasantly surprised.

Stayed over with my son while visiting Bike Park Wales and it was great value for money. Secure on site parking, they stored our bikes safely overnight and we had a clean, warm room for the night. Excellent cooked breakfast the next day set us up for a great days riding. Will use this every time we visit Bike Park Wales which is only 15 mins drive from the hotel.

Good choice in pub food with some 'special' nights (eg curry night) unpretentious pub restaurant that does what it says on the label. Enjoyed our meal, enjoyed the beers and would not hesitate to go again.
