Friendly service good atmosphere 👌

Good service.Changes for the better over the past year, have left a friendly staff, speedy service, and a nice atmosphere in the store. Cleanliness is good too. It could do with a bit of a revamp though, as it's looking a bit tired in places inside. I would recommend all in all though.

their coffee machine broke but the girl on the till made me a delicious strawberries+cream frappe and drew a smiley face on it that i only just saw and its really made my day. i hope everyone there has a lovely day!!

The workers are absolutely amazing they are always kind and very nice, they are willing to listen to me when I didn't know what to get and even gave me recommendations. The food isn't the best but that's because it comes pre packaged but the drinks are very good

Giving this place 2 stars for the reason of the poor customer service from the females that work there. Me and my partner come to costa 4 to 5 times a week and every time we enter the women are very miserable and not very welcoming hardly speak to you about your order never smile and always sighing due to they’re jugs running out of milk also some of them bickering towards eachother thankfully they’re was a Welsh man there who took it upon himself to serve me after waiting 10 minutes for the women very dissatisfied in the customer service though this place needs more staff that are happy with what they’re doing.

Quite overhyped , taste is just the same as any other. Atmosphere quite cool.

Nice friendly staff and very prompt service. Covid restrictions are a bit confusing tho. Do we take a seat and track and trace or do we queue to let staff know that we have ordered with the app. Nice food and coffee to so we were well happy.

Three times we have visited this cafe lately ...poor service ...what has happened to the coffee poor !!!!!!! get it sorted please ...not a happy visit staff too serious ,,,and yet again smelly toilet get your act together NEXT Bangor !

My first trip into a coffee shop since covid....the staff were very attentive regarding track and trace. We were able to sit in comfort away from anyone else.

Paid a visit to this store earlier today during bad rain, walked in to a line of around 12 people who had been waiting for a while (I know this because I overheard moaning customers) We were then told to wait outside in the rain because the line was too long, of course we listened but I wanted to say 'maybe if you'd serve us a little quicker we wouldn't have to' but I bit my tongue! we waited outside IN THE RAIN for a further 5 minutes before getting fed up of the line not moving and went to Starbucks instead, which is now our daily go to instead of Costa purely because of this visit. Never really come on here to review places, especially a coffee place but Jesus at least hire some decent staff!

Was very quiet on day of visit. Staff did ask for the track and trace to be followed. Order arrived promptly. Staff were friendly and inviting

I had a strawberry iced infusion that was warm, no ice and tasted bland. The girl who made it was too busy chatting to visitors/friends who popped in. The toilets were filthy with faeces on the back of the seat. The guy making our hot drinks was busy and attentive and the hot drinks were good.

I can not give enough praise to the young girl who was on today , she must have the arms of an octopus because she was doing so much at once ( which we of course understand is due to the current CoVID situation ) , drinks were timely and tasted amazing , the new layout is clear and staff are obviously very keen to keep staff and customers safe.

Had to write a review, went in this afternoon 24Jan, service was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble, and more milk choices than the others that I have visited too. Friendly, helpful staff, clean and comfortable, excellent coffee and food.

Exactly ike every other branch of Cost Coffee, which in their case is pretty good - if you can only get chain coffee, Costa is one of the best.

Very poor Barrista especially a blonde haired lady, so so slow, not efficient. Cafe looks tired in need of refurb also.

Lovely atmosphere. Yes, it's a chain cafe but it's a really nice, calm place to visit with friends and family, even my partner and I went on our first date here. Staff are also lovely and incredibly helpful.

Very average coffee and experience. Staff are polite and the cakes and coffee are average with no outstanding features. Much prefer other coffee shops in the area.

Personally give these multi nationals a wide berth and support local cafs. Went in here recently to get out of the rain. A cake and coffee was alsmost £10 what a rip off, the coffee was tasteless.

Visited for coffee and lunch at around 1.30pm, staff on that shift especially one dark haired lady in particular was very warm and friendly

Soy un poco adicto a la costa, donde estoy, me voy a la costa y he pedido la misma bebida cada vez.

A pesar de que el personal amable, hay poco punto a través de la puerta a la cadena. Acabo subimos y luego fuimos a un descendiente de Snowdown Bangor para almorzar pedí 2 sándwiches tostados, 2 muffins de chocolate y 2 chocolates calientes.

El personal y el equipo son excepcionales. Limpia y profesional no es sólo su cadena normal el personal ir la milla extra.

Para un café regularmente. El personal es amable y el servicio es bueno. La comida es principalmente sándwiches y panini tostado/normalmente hay una buena selección de tartas. La cafetería tiene capacidad extra en la parte trasera, la cual mucha gente no son conscientes de.

Fuimos para una taza de aquí y el personal era muy servicial y uno de los mejores café moca que he probado en mucho tiempo mantenerlo.

Estado viniendo a esta Costa durante más de 10 años, en los últimos meses he notado un equipo sólido de trabajo. La gestión de dos chicas son increíbles y han convertido la tienda alrededor. Estado presente algunas mañanas recientemente hay una chica con pelo y tatuajes siempre violácea feliz y amable que alegra mi día. Es agradable ver el personal profesional y con su trabajo con un gran servicio al cliente. Ha ofrecido alternativa que son los granos de café para elegir y la variedad de comida es agradable de ver. No utilizar para ser un habitual en la siguiente tienda me siento como el personal allí es muy poco profesional y grosero y odioso el manejo no hay nada como las tiendas de High street el joven director masculino podría aprender un par de cosas de esta tienda y cómo tratar a personal y clientes. Esta será la única tienda costa visitaré en bangor. Un servicio de atención al cliente y el personal +. Bien hecho costa

Always a great atmosphere, the staff work so hard, by far the best team this store has had in a long time the management team should be proud as should the company at the turn around the store has had. Excellent coffee and food. Always friendly service. Would highly recommend!

The Costa in Bangor don't seem to know how to make coffee. I don't think I've ever had a decent drink here. Also very slow service.

I called in for a much needed hazelnut soya late after getting a few jobs done today. Great coffee, lovely friendly staff. AND gluten free cakes :DPerfect!

Total transformation in standards of service, cleanliness and attitude of staff. Even the coffee has improved!Still a bit run down in comparison to other Costas but I guess it's an old shop. However it's a pleasure to visit now and has become my regular coffee stop.

Came here as a treat after getting a filling done in the dentist... I had a latte and a toastie and my partner had a hot chocolate and a chocolate muffin lovely toastie and latte and no complaints from my partner (he's extremely fussy) all in all a nice experience... staff have good customer service and are very quick to serve you and get your drinks sorted... defo going again AND as a plus it's a pokestop which made my partner very happy

The place was clean and tidy when I visited and it was nice to see that there was no clutter on the high bar/seating area. Bangor is a cosmopolitan city and there were a few foreign languages to be heard.There are plenty of seats considering the size of the cafe with some hidden at the back to the right. Coffee was up to par and service was quick on the day although I know it depends on how many people order and on the size of the orders as a rule.There is a pokestop right outside the window so you can sit facing the street, watch the world go by and stock up on poke balls.

love costa and its really handy when you collect points, they add up quickly so you often get a free drink or cake. I go there every week, nice friendly staff especially the manager, very helpful. sometimes the toast is burnt sometimes its like bread, sometimes hot chocolate is too week, sometimes too strong but its just pot luck

Poor latte, tasted just like warm milk, same in Aberystwyth.Can they not make coffee in Wales! Worst latte ever!

Can't find the Costa in Next on the outskirts of Bangor so decided to use this place. Everytime I go there I find the waitresses, waiters unbelievably pleasant and welcoming. They were so nice yesterday with my 11 yr old grand daughter, she was si thrilled to be treated so politely and nicely. This was about 4.30 on Monday evening. Thank you.

Friendly girl that's been there last few Sundays, remembers our order which is a lovely touch. Good coffee and snacks!

The tills weren't working so it was cash only, but they pleasantly made us aware and we continued anyway! They did get an order wrong but that was probably due to stress of not having any tills working etc. All in all another pleasant Costa visit!

Was served by a rude trainee member and wouldn't recommend to anyone go nerrosShe wasn't very friendly and was very disinterested in being there It was my first time in Costa and it will be my last

Am a Costa Bangor regular and have noticed that this branch is looking distinctly tired. The service too has also suffered, the staff team seem demoralised and lack leadership (come back Sophie and Emily!). Service is extremely slow at times with peoplw walking out and going to Nero! Also tables are not cleared and wiped, customers end up doing it themselves, working for Whitbread for nothing! Looks like they're running it on the cheap, could do with more better-trained staff.

I love costa but find this one to be dirty they could do with a wipe of the tables every now and again. Each time I have been I have ended up with a mess somewhere

So 15 mins to get served, 17 additional mins to get my drink. I only asked for 2 coffees and a pastry......But even then the order was wrong. Pastries were stale and the 'manageress' was disinterested when I complained; telling me about her problems and not rectifying mine. The inside 1 inch of my Danish was moist so that was worth it...... Not. This is the first time following a complaint I didn't receive an apology... A big chain corporation with staff like this? Only in Bangor. Cafe Nero for me in the future!

Regular customer to Costa in general in particular this store over the years. What's happened of late to this place!!? New staff = Shambles and bad service!! bring back the old staff of previous years!! Although all Costas are busy and there are issues with tables not being cleared etc in pretty much most but in particular this store (especially over the last few months), it seems that the overall service has also taken a nose dive!! Queues to the door, 6+ people waiting for their orders after payment with 10+ people waiting to place an order at times! Some of the staff seem very slow at doing their job and dare I say, one or two, seem waaaaay over their heads to be able to work in such a busy environment!!? (Although, I will say that all staff are very pleasant and friendly). Seen many people walking away from the queue and others unable to walk into the store and therefore going to a different coffee shop, Costa!? you're losing a lot of custom here!! Sadly, heard many people saying the same of late and bringing up various other issues e.g. running out of cutlery, cups, lack of stock i.e. food etc. This store desperately needs to move to bigger premises to allow the staff and customers more room, along wth more staff training and coffee machines, the service may then improve.....?

I'm a costa fan but do feel service can vary from place to place. The staff here are always cheery and polite. It's only small but very busy and the staff do their best to keep on top of things while staying happy! Always quick to help in anyway they can.

Dirty cups coffee was cold and the floor is mopped with the same mop at the toilet with same water I felt sick!!!!

This Costa isn't really that big considering how busy it always is. Staff are friendly and the wifi is good to use, plus they have newspapers available to read. Just like any other Costa really, busy and not big enough.

Your normal Costa, but in a lot smaller premises. You'd certainly have problems if you had a wheelchair. Staff were friendly, but it appeared like they might of been understaffed tables were not getting cleared. Would probably give this Costa a miss next time and try one of the other cafes in the area.

I just called here for a drink of water on a warm day. The staff were very pleasant and polite but they were overworked. It was very busy with just two staff to do everything. As a result there were about 6 or 7 tables which had not been cleared and also some customers were clearing the tables before they sat down. in the toilet there was no toilet paper and no hand wash liquid. I do not blame the staff for this as they were working well despite being overworked. I get the impression that Costa are employing a minimum number of staff to attain maximum profit, but this may well work against them if customers looking for a table choose to go elsewhere.

Always busy, they do well in such a tiny space to serve so many customers. The coffee is good, brownies, shortbread, cakes are fresh. Staff are pleasant and efficient. It does what one expects, no more, no less. Free wifi is a bonus. Not that many good coffee shops on Bangor High Street.

visit this costa often and the staff are always polite and smiling, the range of cakesm drinks and sandwhiches is great, the seating is great and theres a lovely quiet part which is quite hidden! its always clean and the staff are prompt, always enjoy my visit to this costa

Saturday afternoon....not that busy but a slow queue. Every table filthy and full of cups etc. no tables wiped down and the tables outside were even worse with litter all over the ground and full ashtrays. How can a massive chain like this allow it to happen? Toilets were swimming in fluids all over the floor. Absolute filth. Hang your heads in shame Costa.

I wish I could enjoy Costa, I just can't. The shop is so small, rarely any free seats, the coffee is really bad. It's former location in upper Bangor was out of the way but so spacious. Shame really. There are far better places that serve cheaper and better quality produce.

Eigentlich wollten meine Freundin und ich an diesem Samstag Nachmittag in Ruhe einen Kaffee trinken und uns dabei ein wenig ausruhen. Dies war im geringsten nicht möglich.Denn im SItzbereich war eine Familie mit zwei kleinkindern zugange. Die Kinder waren sehr sehr laut und warfen ihr Spielzeug einfach so auf den Boden. Die Eltern machten aber auch gar nichts, um die Schreihälse zu beruhigen.Mitarbeiter des Cafes reagierten auf Beschwerde von anderen Kunden, das Elternpaar dazu zu bewegen ihre Kinder zu beruhigen. Diese ignorierten die Costa Mitarbeiter einfach.Sorry, aber solche leute hätte man sollen aus dem Laden verweisen und nicht auf freundliche Tour auf sie einreden.Ich bin der Meinung, dass man in der Gastronomie Abgetrennte Bereiche für Eltern mit Kindern einrichten sollte. Amsonsten kann man nirgends mehr etwas in Ruhe essen oder trinken.

I visit on a regular basis either on a day off or after work. I always find the staff to be welcoming, friendly and always helpful. It's nice to sit by the window and watch the world go by. Coffee is great aswell.

The title says it all. We were welcomed by the barista, had a quick chat and then sat down to enjoy the panini sand coffee which arrived promptly. Quite a small Costa which was a bit cramped but it is a place for a quick visit and not somewhere to spend ages.

I frequent this Costa pretty often, ultimately it serves its purpose well. The staff are always polite and I have to say well trained, it is pretty rare I order something even something more obscure on the menu and they always make it correctly (the same can't be said for some Starbucks!). Drinks are always nice and hot too.I find in terms of Costa stores, this one can get through a queue of people in a decent time too, often the queue makes you think you will wait far longer than you end up doing. I do sometimes sit in, although I'm normally a take away person, and it is OK. General feedback for eating in is the seats could be comfier for a coffee shop and there are quite often light bulbs that flicker or need changed.

Costa's always a good call for a catch up with friends for me, with a great menu that changes seasonally which is nice. Staff friendly even though I think the prices for food are a little steep for what they are.

It's very hard working at such a busy place , but the workers always make you feel welcome . Very nice place , and the decor is nice . There are plenty of options to choose from , and fresh cakes , although - prices on sandwiches are quite high - but that's up to the head office to decide. The workers are very nice , and If I sit in always give them a tip . The drinks are always superb

What can i say I love the drinks its clean tidy and always got happy service i wish i was able to take this shop home and place it in my kitchen prices ar a bit high but ahh well worth the money.

That was the first place I visited when I moved here. Then I was going there with my kids. They are breastfeeding friendly and have as well decaffeinated coffee. I do like Costa Cofee

Costa is a good option and its quality is consistent across the various shops, which is good. The large lattes are rather massive, which is great. The staff at the high street store in Bangor are extremely patient and friendly. Wifi is good. The only drawback of this shop is the music which can be pretty loud (so bring your headphones and you'll be fine).

Me and my partner are regular customers here, it's actually one of the places we stopped on our first date. We've loved coming here so much as we both love a decent brew, and we've got to know the staff over time and never minded waiting when it's busy. Well recently we've had a baby and quickly realised a few issues that render Costa a bit 'tight' if u have a pram, many of the walkways are too narrow and if u manage to find a table at this cafe, we've found we have very little space, which is sad because we really like it here, but unlike with a dog, we can't tie her up and leave her outside with a bowl of water, so it's unfortunate to say I think our visits will be limited to when it's not very busy or the very rare occasion we are without our child.

Plenty of seating space and electric plugs in the high street cafe. Good and very large coffees are great value, and muffins are good as well. Free wifi too!

If you've ever been to a Costa then you know what to expect. The Bangir version had become a bit grotty but has benefitted greatly from a recent refit. Staff gave always been nice here though, which is to their credit.

Average considering what you'd expect from a chain. Bit "pokey" with nooks here and there giving enough space but making a claustrophobic atmosphere! The person I was had to leave...

We came here for two coffees and had two chocolate brownies nothing special about the coffees or the brownies accept paying almost £10.00 just way over priced for the quality of cakes/drinks - not somewhere we would return at these prices.

its a chain cafe they dont go out of their way as a cafe. Bangor has a lack of places that offer a good coffee this was one of the first and has brought in more competition, still the service and waiting times have to be shortened drastically.
