No sería ducharme. No había papel higiénico.

95 a 12 libras. No cualquiera Venga y ver si estaban bien. Quiero apoyar a nuestros pubs país y yo. No volveremos. Es una pena.

Amable.

We ate at The Travellers Rest and the food was of very poor standard. Dinky roast potatoes (resembled Auntie Bessie's Frozen Roasties), 1 yes 1 neuked new potato. Incredibly tough beef which ended up in my dogs tummy. 1 Yorkshire pudding that was like old shoe leather, I ended up choking on it. Tasteless veg. Don't waste your money going there. Two very disappointed customers!

Our group of 5 visited early Saturday evening. The young chap seemed surprised to see us even though we booked well in advance. We ordered our main courses and they arrived within a fairly reasonable time. The food was okay. Not great but passable.By the time we ordered desert the place was quite busy and said chap was clearly overwhelmed by it all.Table left uncleared and a long, long wait eventually ,after prompting, deserts arrived (with one missing).Very poor they were too. As we left we could hear others complaining.A real shame as this place has potential but needless to say we won't be returning.

I have visited the Travellers Rest on many occasions over a number of years, during which time there have been several changes of management. The latest change was last year and this has certainly been a change for the better. The pub is a traditional country pub, which offers a good range of beers and wines and now offers excellent food at very reasonable prices. The menu is extensive and there are also specials available. Staff are friendly and the service is excellent with eight meals being served at our table. .All were piping hot and arrived within a couple of minutes of each other. I have now eaten evening meals on 2 occasions since the change of staff and will certainly be going again.

We stopped by for a late lunch and were very pleased with our visit. There are two main bars, one mainly laid with tables. Both landlord and landlady were pleasant and welcoming. The food was hearty and nice,y presented. We would certainly visit the pub again. They have a small camp site behind that will definitely tempt us next time.

I booked this sight for myself, 4 adults and 9 children for a 2 night break. I knew it was basic as I had stayed here many times before when it was under a different landlord and had many good memories. The pub is now under a new landlord and as a result of my most recent experience I will not be returning to the travellers rest. On arrival the landlord appeared quite unwelcoming; this followed a couple of phone conversations where I questioned the enthusiasm of the new management. There was misleading information given to us by the landlord as on his pubs website it states that if you are a member of the caravan and camping club you receive a second night for free. When we asked the landlord about this he said that this was only if you joined the club whilst using the pubs internet! This was not at any point made clear to us prior to our arrival. He did however allow us to have a tent pitch for free. With 9 children and 4 adults our use of the toilet facilities was frequent. On our second day on the sight we received a written note from the landlord who complained about our ongoing use of the toilet and the torn up toilet paper that was on the floor. As the entire sight has only 1 toilet for all campers it is questionable as to how he wanted us to lessen our use of his inadequate facilities. Furthermore the fact that there was only 1 toilet roll left for everyone for 2 days meant that we had to go in to the men’s toilet to gather some of their only toilet roll to ensure we had enough. The Landlord further complained about the noise on sight. He was aware of the 9 children we had as I had booked the pitches in advance. There is a children’s play park on sight and so I would imagine that some noise is to be expected. This evidently was not acceptable. The pitch itself was basic which as previously mentioned was expected. However the grass was so long and in desperate need of cutting that the tent seemed uneven and was difficult to pitch and uncomfortable to walk in. To conclude the facilities are wholly inadequate with one toilet (providing only 1 toilet role and no sanitary bin) and 1 shower. The sight is poorly managed which makes it hard to sufficiently pitch a tent or caravan. The landlord is extremely unwelcoming, unhelpful and uncomunicable. The use of the play park only seems to be for children who don’t express excitement with any kind of noise which may be offensive to others.

Terrible experience with the receptionis—very rude and unprofessional attitude towards customers over call even over the counter. When we inquired about delivery for just a one-mile distance, they quoted just without asking for the proper address an extra £3.50, which is ridiculous. No manners of talking over call, we specially visited the place to explain this situation, The young guy over the counter was rude and said unusual words even though he was working there. We’ve been picking up food from here every week, but this time, even for a pick-up, they overcharged us on cash pick-up. Extremely disappointing customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

New Year’s Eve at the church inn pub in Lowton, near Leigh was a busy good night except for the management. Firstly, they scammed quite a few of us by advertising that Robbie Williams (tribute)would be there. I myself motivated 10 people to join me just for that experience. When we got there, everyone was deflated saying it’s just Robbie the DJ .😢 Then there were three of us customers that were wondering why the DJ had just ignored playing our karaoke songs. Then after buying quite a large round of drinks (including doubles) ……we noticed when we got back from the dancefloor, that they had all been removed by the bar staff! I asked them nicely to replace the drinks that they took away from us. So they replaced the white wine, but not my red wine. So because I told the truth, the Irish manager kicked me out shouting at me. He said there was no more red wine left in the bar for me so he’s not replacing my drink! So my friend bought me another to compensate for them stealing our drinks. Then as I was talking about this with another customer, the female bar staff came around the bar and stood right in my face. She told me.”You better leave now or I will call the police”. I had to laugh, but nice and quietly I reiterated my concerns. She then raised her voice saying “I’m throwing you out now” I’ve never been thrown out of a pub in my whole life as I am a professional and upstanding member of my community. As I walked away, she was shouting something behind me. So I just had to turn round and quietly say “ don’t worry about asking me if I’ve had a good New Year’s Eve, I’ll put it in the review”. I just wondered if this new management have treated anyone else or your friends so disrespectfully? Very disappointing and don’t recommend if other customers are treated rudely from the staff
