Nice little gem in Oswestry. Went on a quiet Wednesday evening. Food was tasty and it has a great atmosphere.

Excellent venue with first class facilities. And great food. In fact a bit special. Our first visit since moving to the area. I'll certainly be back. Dig friendly in the downstairs bar area so big win as far as I'm concerned.

Have been here a few times in last few years food is always delicious and thoughtfully presented. Wine list particularly reds could be a bit bigger but perhaps that is not the main draw for their crowd. The cocktails are lovely and it is a great building.

Second time we've been here. Well, absolutely fantastic food and drinks. The service is outstanding and a special mention to Ollie the manager and his wonderful team. Big shout out to the chef, who knows how to cook a steak to perfection 🤌 Footnote: Had a Tapas meal tonight at Tiempo Absolutely 💯 %. We'll be back many times, that's for sure🪙

Ridiculously misleading menu at the tapas, paid £8.50 for one chicken and chorizo skewer which had one small piece of chicken breast, a small sausage and a bit of onion, entire bill came to £160 and we're leaving hungry, last time we came to the main restaurant and ended up with food poisoning not happy

Great food and great service - will be going again! Staff were on the ball and made it a lovely outing.

Sadly the restaurant was empty so no atmosphere at lunchtime, but the food is excellent, deserves more support even after Christmas.

Christmas get together. Very unorganised there was no salt and pepper on the table ,no butter with bread rolls, no cranberry sauce had to ask for these. The room was to small for our party The food was not great have had better

We held my sister’s 40th birthday party at the Townhouse and it was amazing. From my initial enquiry to collecting everything yesterday, the staff could not be more helpful. They are so friendly, organised and attentive and are a credit to the Townhouse. The venue is the best around, well kept and modern and the live singers and Christmas party atmosphere made it so much fun. Drinks are delicious, particularly the cocktails. A vast selection and reasonably priced. The car park is an added bonus. We have had many events, special occasions and casual meals and meet ups at the Townhouse and will continue to do so. An asset to the town. Thank you all so much for making our eve so special.

We visited for Tapas and had a lovely evening . Throughout our time there, we were particularly impressed by the service from Georgia and Sam . They worked non stop and with a smile throughout. The cocktails were lovely too!

Uninspiring no atmosphere. Nothing special food was OK but very plain. Service was excellent.

4 of us went for a 60th birthday lunch and it was wonderful. The ambience, service, food and cocktails were amazing. Mike who served us was so lovely and Jack the Chef came to say hi and we were glad to be able to tell him his food was top notch.

We have eaten several times outside in the garden fo lunch, a pleasant experience. Went for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago, and must say it was the worst Sunday lunch I think I have ever had. Beef, smallish portion but was ok. Roast potatoes were badly roasted, veg - el dente- rock hard I’d say, and cold. Plates cold hence dinner was cold after a few minutes, not enough gravy, had to ask, also had to ask for horseradish, complained about cold and undercooked. Then ordered rice pudding, guess what, it was cold, in the microwave please. Knocked 20% off the bill, but would have preferred a decent lunch at full price, no apologies from the management. Won’t be returning.

Came for a Sunday roast 15.10, all veg was undercooked and hard to cut, opted for the veggie roast and the tofu was soft milky. Supposed to opt for the 2 course for £22 but we didn’t order dessert after the awful main. Mentioned the issues to the server and offered no discount or refund with only having a couple of bites of food. No one there to greet you upon entrance, didn’t know where to go For a very disappointing lunch, it came to £47

A bit disappointed after reading the reviews. The food presentation was not good and expected more for what we paid. We had a burger and pasta after a starter of soup. The soup had no garnish and a small roll. The burger was accompanied by chipped potatoes that were from frozen ( not home made) the pasta was bland and quite dry. Overall disappointed and maybe another look at being better than a basic pub meal.

Been here a few times now, and always impressed with the service and food. We tried the tapas which was great, especially paired with a jug of sangria!

Love this place but the young women who seems to be in charge let’s the place down. Rude and condescending to the staff team and walks around doing nothing but bossing the young staff team infront of the customers. Very unprofessional and actually awkward a real shame as we won’t be returning because of it!

Visited oswestry for the day and decided to have lunch as it was a beautiful day . Sat outside and ordered a bottle of prosecco and some food . Waitress very professional and accommodating, food was excellent looking forward to a revisit. Would definitely recommend.

Went for a family meal. The staff were very efficient and friendly and the food and service was superb. A young lady behind the bar did her very best to get hold of a taxi for us but unfortunately there does not seem to be many about Oswestry. Would not hesitate to go back there again and again. Dropped in for lunch for 4, absolutely lovely food eaten out in the garden. Eaton "tidy " was marvellous, delightfully light meringue with juicy raspberry's Service was very efficient friendly and polite. Highly recommended

We'd been searching for somewhere to have a tasty Sunday lunch which could also cater for a gluten free diet, and was also dog friendly - We thought that might have been too much to ask for but then we found The Townhouse. The staff were all wonderful, they welcomed us and our pup and made us all feel at home (Finn dog made some new friend). We sat in the covered outdoor area which is really nice and pleasant. The Sunday lunch was great! Veg nicely prepped and served al dente, the meat was beautifully cooked, flavoursome and tender, and the roasted potatoes had a lovely hint of garlic. For desert I had the Banoffiee pie (not gluten free) which was amazing, my boyfriend had the Eaton Tidy (gf) which he said was fantastic and made a change from the usual gluten free afterthoughts that he is normally offered (ie ice-cream). We had 2 glasses of coke and a pint of ale, it all came to under £60 which I think was very reasonable. Thanks again team!

The starter started off well, I decided to have this prawns with noodle salad. The prawns were off the supermarket shelf, the broccoli was raw and the dressing was like vinegar. Tried to eat it but eventually gave up as the lower I got the worse it tasted. Sticky toffee pudding should be renamed toffee pudding, not good. Service was really the only good thing about it, advice to the waiter, don’t offer 20% discount off the bill and insult us with a 10% off the main course. Didn’t raise the matter as my husband doesn’t like confrontation and it was his birthday. Won’t be visiting again till they change the chef.

Brilliant restaurant, food, service and atmosphere is exceptional, the burger is a triumph. Would thoroughly recommend going.

Super lunch venue , loved sitting in the garden in the sunshine, felt we were on holiday. Although we weren't in a hurry the service was quite slow, the staff were very pleasant and food great when it came. Might not be suitable if you're on a fixed lunch bresk.

Food was basic for what it was. Service. Underage staff jumping around and less focus on customer service. Atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. Decor and design of the restaurant was nice.

We came here having had a drink in the garden earlier in the afternoon, and were tempted by the Calves Liver on the menu, so we boked a table for the evening. The start wasn't great, the calves liver wasn't available, but fortunately it was uphill all the way. Nice food, nice wine, perfect service. Even the odd joke about the lack of calves liver from our lovely waitress. It turned out very nice.

Nice decor, but poor food. Catalogue of errors from the waiter forgetting my request for gluten free to the rice in the rice pudding being uncooked. Also the bill was incorrect! In short style over substance.

Picked this restaurant on the basis of the reviews here. Really disappointing experience. 1. Ordered gluten free bread and oil etc, waiter brought regular bread to the table. Luckily my partner checked. 2. Soup and gluten free bread served. Bread was soggy and wet (obviously microwaved) and the soup was incredibly tasteless. 3. Main course was edible, but not worth the charge. 4. Rice pudding - the rice was not fully cooked and was hard, making it inedible. At this point I sent it back. 5. The waiter got the bill wrong. I was actually embarrassed that I had suggested this restaurant to my friends.

Cool veg was a turn off. Was considering booking an event but looking elsewhere.

Fantastic food and atmosphere with the staff going out there way to fit our food order in as we was a couple of minute passed the kitchen opening hours. Highly recommend to anyone wanting food and drink in a very welcoming venue.

Great lunchtime stop and tapas/wine very good

Lovely place, a bit confusing on entry, the ground floor is split into 3, Tapas at the front, bar in the middle and bistro at the rear, with a large garden, when you come in, it can be a little difficult to navigate as there is no signage, even after sitting in the bar we had to be shown were the bistro was. The location, staff and food were great, pretty good value for money too. A couple of tiny bits of feedback on the food, were given after our meal but definitely still worth 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I went for dinner there last night, the bar area is lovely, however the dining room had a draught from the window, unfortunately a large group of diners were very loud! The lamb was very greasy & mostly bone! The cawl was disgusting I left it! No veg!! The cappuccino was cold & badly made, no froth! They need to go to Costa to see how a cappuccino is made! Would not eat there again; a very disappointing meal. For me its OK as a bar!

Only marked down because there were some very loud rude travellers in very unusual in this pub. But it was scary at times. So spoilt our meal. The staff handled them brilliantly

Lovely bar, great cocktails and the bar snacks and good were ace too. Staff were very accomodating and looked after our group brilliantly. Would absolutely recommend the cherry Bakewell cocktail. It was heaven! The fish finger sarnie was incredible too!!

Nice place and aesthetic. Located in a good location in the centre of Oswestry. We attended an evening meal here, which was nice. We had a steak and some other sides. The only let down was the price! Probably wouldn’t eat here again, as there are better places for the price however, it is a lovely place for drinks! I have sat outside in the summer and it was a great day.

Meal for 5 booked and nice table allocated, good and attentive service with wine and food. 4 x lamb (2 shoulder and 2 loin) plus a rib eye that exceeded expectations. 2 x cheese board (1 to share) and 2 x ice cream and couldn't fault any of the food

Terrible.. this was a complete mess, chips Not cooked, steak.. completely over cooked nothing left of it.. Not 15 oz.. microwaved sauce which was all congealed.. and some lettuce on its own as a salad.. FM,,, and don't get me started on the lager... Didn't eat it and didn't pay.. ruined my birthday. Zero stars. Just read the response.. The wine was not opened. No offer to re-cook was made. Bring my own alcohol.. rubbish never said that And i suppose the chef response that blue cheese sauce is gravy based ....Which explains the brown blue cheese sauce... Please.. And i ordered the steak on a more to the well done side.. not a piece of dried up leather. If your going to respond.. trying being truthful. Now i know your dam liar.. i suggest you learn to tell the truth and then maybe learn to cook . And yes i am right over the road. Something i suggest you fix immediately is calling me a liar The wine was not opened and the all the food was returned. .

The Townhouse is such a warm, cosy, lovely decorated bar, restaurant and guest house and to see that it's still going. A very attractive looking building from the outside, has great garden and seating outdoors area with a bar and the restaurant inside serves some amazing food. Just popped in to see if they had proper real cask ale on tap and they did. The staff were ever so friendly and welcoming and Olly gave me a taster of their "Meantime" real cask ale when I popped to the inside bar and it was so fresh, well kept, citrusy delicious which immediately made me ask for a pint of it! Cheers Olly and all the other staff for such a memorable return to The Townhouse! Recommend this pub, restaurant, guesthouse on Willow Street in Oswestry and always special food deals on their menu. Well done to you all...!

Our first visit to this hidden gem 💎 of a place(at lunchtime)....warm welcome, stunning inside and outside, dog friendly (given her own bowl and treats,wow! Dined both Friday and Saturday night in the walled garden,food really good the staff were amazing, excellent food, surroundings outside, excellent staff and service even the chef changed a dish for our elderly mother 👍 Steve & Sarah

Lamb cutlets without lamb 😕 something resembling broccoli tbc! And dare I say a factory produced dessert assembled in the kitchen by scattering a few berries around it!!

Food/Service/Surroundings all first class.

Wonderfully dog friendly, Dave was welcomed with a bowl of water. The roast was marvelous, meat so tender, pork and beef. The chef catered so well for dairy free options. My wife is usually stuck with sorbet or sorbet. Here we enjoyed rhubarb and apple crumble with custard. First class service.

Nice rooms, friendly staff but food pretty average for price. My lamb kofta was pretty lacking. Small, dry and over cooked. The Ceaser sandwich was mainly bread and the kids fish bites were sloppy and undercooked. The chips were nice though. Heard staff swearing in the kitchen. Frustrating when you can do better ones self. Maybe the Highwayman next time.

Felt uncomfortable as if we shouldn't have been there, sat near the serving hatch and was aware the staff on the other side kept looking at us , my lamb meal came raw I think you should ask how you would like it cooked as it was my husband eat it very disappointed as it was a special occasion

Ordered a townhouse sunday roast dinner takeaway through zoom. It arrived 50 minutes late (almost 2 hours after ordering) they gave me roast beef instead of the lamb I ordered (and charged me £2 more for the lamb which I didn't get!!) The food was STONE COLD!! Flavours bland at best. Portion sizes were pretty small for the price, potatoes burnt, chicken dry. Yorkshire and veg was nice however. Worst takeaway experience I've had.

Friendly staff, Food lovely, but sat in the quiet back room, less atmospheric than the bar area, and it was cold in there.

What a lovely evening to celebrate my partners birthday. Food and service was excellent. A new venue for us and we will definitely be back.
