Just returned to live in the area and back to eat at Moon hon. Excellent food as it was in the past. Great choice of food and also flexible if you want to change any of the dishes, Lee ans his team will always try to oblige. Not the cheapest in the area but certainly the best !

What a really nice restaurant. Lovely food a nice warm welcome as soon as I walked in will definitely come back.

I have eaten there several times, the menu is quite large and it caters for every taste, the food is always delicious and the service is quick and friendly. it is certainly worth a visit.

My husband and I moved to Broseley just over a year ago and only recently discovered this little gem of a restaurant. The proprietors who are from Hong Kong are very friendly and welcoming and the food is authentically Cantonese with the "heat of the wok" taste which makes it more delicious. There is a good selection on the menu, one of our favourites is the crispy duck with pancakes, their salt and pepper squid/prawns and selection of noodles and rice dishes. We have become quite regular customers now since discovering this restaurant and am thrilled that a little village like Broseley has a Cantonese restaurant. They also do take-aways. Highly recommend if you fancy Cantonese cuisine.

We had a gorgeous meal, really tasty, fresh and lots of choice. All the family loved their meals! Very friendly staff. We will be back!

You only get what you pay for, if you have never experienced a real bad meal try this place it's the perfect example.

A mall restaurant which also offers take away service. The food here authentic and cooked to order so also served fresh. The owners are really pleasant and very welcoming and will modify dishes to suit individual tastes,

Run by husband and wife such a warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere, wide choices of starters and main courses . You must try the salt and pepper prawns The are massive and so tasty , main course was sea bass this was absolutely beautiful, then to finish banana deep fried ( must go on a diet) probably had too many drinks but it was fantastic thank you Lee and Georgie

Given the fact the other Broseley Chinese is truly dreadful, this place ought to be a gold mine. Unfortunately Moon Hon's rude staff and very poor food make it necessary to drive out of town in search of a decent take away.

I have tried Moon hon on various occasions with giving the benefit of doubt over the last 2 times, I have finally given up as the quality of the food and taste are just shocking. The lack of fresh veg, spice and all meals seem to be bulked out by greasy sauce. Such a shame.

Simply superb...fantastic service, superb food, great range of dishes to suit all, couldn’t of asked for more.

I would honestly rather drive from Broseley to Birmingham to get a decent meal that tastes as it should. It would be great if Moon Hon was worth eating at as I live in Broseley and in easy walking distance to the restaurant. The food is greasy and doesn’t taste very nice. 4 of us ate there recently and were all disappointed and 2 of us were a little unwell later that night and the following morning. I won’t be eating there again.

We visited for a meal with our neighbour and were extremely impressed with the friendly, efficient service. Menu choices were extensive and the food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. A really relaxed atmosphere- well worth a visit. We will definitely return soon.

We eat in restaurants all the time and can honestly say that I have never had anything really bad before. The here food was really awful--very dry food, stringy meat, soggy vegetables and lacked any flavor. We ate inside the restaurant--not takeout. The few customers that were there were on one side. Occasionally a waiter would walk over, stand in the middle of the customer dining room, and ask if anyone needed anything. Don't go there save your money and go somewhere else.

Very poor experience after a recent visit. How can you believe people that have been going there for years they must know the owner well.

Unassuming frontage gave way to a warm welcome with friendly, efficient service. Beautiful food....all well-presented and reasonably priced. Very pleasant atmosphere. Only my second visit to Broseley and the first time to Moon Ho but I do recommend this restaurant. I'll certainly return again.

Waste of money and time will never visit again. This place was good a few years ago but the take away we ordered was very poor value.

We decided to take the family for New Year's Eve celebrations. The food bad the staff were rude when we complained. Rather than causing an issue we paid and just left. Some of the people that are giving good reviews know the owner and get a discount to put positive feedback.Our advice is to think before to decide to visit this restaurant.

Ordered a takeaway for the family never ever had a beef curry with nothing but carrots in it !! Chips burnt , rice dry , threw it away use the top Chinese in future !

Nos encanta este restaurante y la comida siempre es de primera clase, con excelente servicio. El pato crujiente es para morirse. Las aperitivos son frescos y sabrosos, el yuk sung es la mejor de todas. Hemos comido aquí muchas veces y nunca me ha defraudado.

Servicio rápido y comida fantástica. Pedimos y recogió a 20 minutos, pollo y champiñones curry realmente bien, pollo frito con arroz.

Sábado por la noche con los amigos de última hora sin reserva pero el personal y el dueño nos recibió con buena comida y un gran servicio. La decoración está un poco anticuada, pero la comida y el servicio completamente hecha por este pequeño detalle. Volveremos seguro gracias al Sr. Lee y equipo:)

I went here with my son and the food is good.It's just your average Chinese maybe a little expensive but food quality ok.You won't have any problems eating here

Moon Hon Cantonese Restauant the food is excellent and they are willing to cook off menu should you have a particular taste, I like mine extra hot. The restauant has around 40 seats. A little dated interior but the quality of the food more than make up for it. The host and owner is called Lee very friendly and always one for a laugh. Price wise typically around £20 to £25 per head so good for that weekly visit. Takeout available too.

Had a take away and all I can say is it was awful. Hardly any fresh veg and salty beyond belief! Didn't even eat a quarter and ended up in the bin. I've always tried to give benefit of doubt over the years but I can honestly say NEVER again.

Been eating here for over 10 years. The decor is dated admittantly but the food and wine is always delicious. Lee and Georgia couldnt be better hosts and I am surprised by some of the negative comments in these reviews! But then some people who pay more than 6 quid for a main that doesnt come with chips get pissy. Would recommend to anyone. Fantastic whole seabass was even enjoyed by those who dont eat fish!

Scruffy exterior. Scruffy interior. Unpleasant food. No seriously unpleasant food. Friendly staff. No fineness in table setting. A tablecloth adorned with paper napkins and chopsticks- nothing else. Food lacked freshness, colour and was either bland or with over strong flavours eg chicken with water chestnuts and bamboo shoots was brown in colour tasting only of garlic, pork satay sizzler was brown again tasting only of chilli, special rice was brown and bland.Not a good experience.

Looks crap from the outside and the interior is not much better, think 60s !However don't be put off the food is really good and the service is very attentive.I will certainly return

The owners and the delicious food are worth the visit. Ask questions about the dishes that you order, as this is not the run of the mill Chinese restaurant. I had a delicious vegetarian starter: Vegetable Sung. My duck and ginger dish surprised me by being in a sweet and sour sauce, however it was cooked to perfection. There is plenty to chose from, and if you ask I am sure you could get something "off menu", as nothing seems too much trouble for them. A very relaxed, no-frills atmosphere, jeans would be acceptable. The village is located in a pretty setting

Small and functional restaurant.Service excellent, food outstanding and very reasonable portions and value for money.Chatted with the owner (I assume) at length about food, living in the UK as he has been hear since 1976 and it made the entire night out away from home pleasurable.Definitely on my return to list

We were looking for a nice chinese resturant around telford and came across this one on google, got invited in at the door, very polite and funny too! the food was some of the best i've had in a long time, the portion size is great too. prices are a little high but can not moan if the food is lovely, will definately go back soon.

The Moon Hon was convenient to our B&B so I pre-booked our meal a week earlier. The decor was pleasant and the staff were very welcoming. But best of all the food was delightful. Thoroughly recommended!

Warm welcome from owners. Lee provided vegetable dishes for me as I am vegetarian even though I was dining with meat eaters. Plenty of food ,home cooked ,very tasty.

The cantonese meals are of an excellent quality and quantity, a varied menu and an excellent takeaway, the only negative is that there is no delivery. Man-hoi Lee is an excellent waiter and he also owns the restaurant.

The food is always on time and tastes better than any other Cantonese I've had!Definitely recommend the food and experience of the restaurant to anyone. The atmosphere is especially enjoyable due to great staff. Been coming here for two years and it never disappoints.

We visit this restaurant on a regular basis, the food is consistently good and can be customised to you own particular taste. I like extra spice, this was applied to my meal with ease. I had the chicken satay skewers to start and a spiced up fillet of beef in green pepper and black bean source. The fillet beef is normally available in Cantonese sauce on the menu, but my request for it in black bean sauce and spiced up was met with no problem.I would recommend this Chinese restaurant, the staff are very polite and helpful.

Two take-away experiences have been truly much less than just 'not tasty' - the last one was several months back, and I have deferred posting in case I heard that my experience was out of the ordinary (which I haven't). The beef dish was tough, and the several dishes ended up (most) in the bin - hate doing this with any food.Up until about 18 months ago, this had been a place where you could expect the results to be good.Sorry, but we'll not be trying again - though if we hear that standards have come back then might do so.

Recently ordered a meal for myself and wife was really looking forward to it as we rarely have a takeaway,got the food home and there was a really bad smell when we opened the food and you could smell there was something off so i took it back ,the Manager refused to believe there was anything wrong he even got a couple who were eating there to taste it themselves .will never be going back .

We weren't that impressed the first time but figured always give somewhere another try. Well this will definitely be the last.The owner is quite rude - sorry we interrupted your dinner and phone. Barks at you rather than talk to you.Food totally bland and boring, first Chinese I've had for a while that could actually benefit a bit of salt! Place looks grubby and dated, didn't risk the loo.Do not appreciate being given a bill that isn't itemised, how do we know we're not being ripped off? £60 for 2.....Won't rush back and do not recommend.

We have used this restaurant on & off since opening & in recent years just for take away. The owners are always lovely & welcoming, quite rightly forming part of the community of broseley. Always find the food hit & miss, it lacks consistency of quality however it's reasonable priced so wouldn't expect much more.

Heard great things about this place so party of 6 with some friends we hadn't seen for a while.Service was good!- not enough choice of spirits.I found the food to be pretty average, nothing spectacular and expensive for what we had. Over £60 a head and it was just okay! We had plenty of different dishes but nothing stood out so overall a disappointing dinner.

Visited the Moon Hon in Broseley again on New Years Eve - it's become something of a tradition over many years. Bit of a trek for us through the dark country lanes to get to Broseley from our house, but Lee (the owner) is always very welcoming. We love the food here especially the Lemon Chicken, the sauce is gorgeous! We also love the Moon Hon Special Fried Rice and have never been disappointed with any of the numerous dishes we have tried. Admittedly the restaurant is a little dated with its decor but this somehow adds to the appeal!Prices are reasonable at this popular Chinese restaurant, whether you are looking for a take away or eat in menu. We have taken several guests over the years and never had any complaints. We look forward to many more meals prepared by Lee and his team.Always love the colourful festive town lights in Broseley as we drive home. Happy New Year to everyone at the Moon Hon!

We have been eating Lee's wonderful food now for almost ten years. The food is always plentiful and delicious. This used to be on our doorstep but even though we have now moved about 6 miles away we still regularly order takeaways from here, having tried other more local takeaways but which just don't live up to the mark. We always ask for our food to be cooked with extra hot spices and that's exactly what we get every time. All the dishes are so flavourful, each one tasting different and not all the same blandness you can get in some chinese restaurants. Fantastic food at fantastic prices!!

A hidden gem. located just off the high street on the green in broseley, this has to be one of the best Cantonese Restaurants I've ever eaten in. The food was cooked fresh (so you do have to wait slightly longer for your meal than an out of the tin traditional chinese), and even better they were able to use gluten free soy sauce for my wife's meal who is a coeliac! Most places look at you blankly when you mention this, but they were only too happy to help and made sure we knew which dish was which.Food was steaming hot when it arrived, was tasty and plentiful. Apparently too the owners are planning on giving the place a bit of a revamp very shortly which will make it even better. Astonishingly the owner appears to know all of his customers and roughly what they want to eat! Its a great place to eat and definitely worth the money. Even the takeaways are fantastic too. Best advice though is if its busy when you arrive get yourself a glass of wine whilst you wait as at weekends it can be rammed full in the takeaway side

Got to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in Shropshire, fabulous food well cooked. Full of flavour.. Happy to cook off menu, and cater for individual tastes.

We have only ever used this as a takeaway but the food is always good. The only downside is they do not deliver but I would highly recommend this Chinese restaurant/takeaway.

Having recently moved to the area, we were keen to both try and support local traders, however, these must be the worst meals I have ever had. The first was poor, but we were willing to try again, however, the second time was even worse, the person who took my order was far more interested in talking to his friends than paying attention to my request, followed by disappintment with the most appalling food that I have ever encountered-this cost £14 and was absolutely dreadful-never again!

Used to travel to Bridgnorth for our delish take-away/restaurant meal......Not any more....Didn't know it was there for years. ...Now we have found it....We have been back many times. Mostly take-away's. Lee remembers your favourite/regular order. Food is Delish and consistently good....A little bit more pricey than the average,but,worth it.

Lee always welcomes us warmly we often eat there. Food is reasonably priced and very tasty .The meal for two is a good deal make sure you are hungry as you get loads of food for your money .

Lovely restaurant and good takeaway service. Wide choice menu with something for everyone. Bar and soft drinks available. Small car park around the back but parking available a short walk away. Can get busy spits advisable to book at weekends.
