Toven's Cafe in North East Lincolnshire

Took 2 hours for two breakfast buns to be delivered. The bacon bun was so flat it looked like it had been squished and the other bun literally only had 1 sausage in it.

Food was average, but the driver was lovely

Saw someone vaping in a kitchen and the lack of hand hygiene was unbelievable. Carpet are dirty. Won't go again

What an absolutely awful cafe. Ordered beans on toast for my friends daughter and my daughter. Came out and looked like it was on bread. Complained and asked for it to be redone. Scrambled egg on toast came out and looked white and hardly cooked. Complained again and got met with theres always a problem with you. Then started swearing in front of our children using the F word. Also shouted at us are you still here. Also extortionate prices. I would urge anyone to avoid this place like the plague.

Shocking. £6 for a bun the size of my head with 1 singular sausage and 1 slice of bacon. Hash brown was in need of 9 minutes on the sun bed! It wasn't even cooked! Do better.

The baked potato was microwaved and the cheese burger was inedible to the point I wonder if these people have ever seen a burger before!

If I am hungover in bed, this is my go to cafe on Just Eat. The selectable breakfast bun is the size of Jupiter and my other half loves the omelettes. Usually delivered before forecast time. Cheers for making the hungover mornings easier when I simply do not have the mental capacity.

Breakfasts were lovely but the puddings were awful you could tell they’d been nuked up in a microwave for way too long and were thick and stiff at the bottom had to bin them

food was well packaged and on time. there was plenty of it. it was delicious. I also got a pudding which was also delicious. Will definitely use again.

The sausages, mushrooms was nice, they gave me the crust for the toast.. the hash browns was soggy the bacon was hard, I also got a chocolate concrete which was nice but they put it in a tub with custard was like thick and clumpy like jelly

Went today with my children and Dad, for a sunny bank holiday Monday this place should have been heaving, the food was absolutely delicious, the prices are spot on! The staff were friendly and welcoming, worth walking a few feet away from the overcrowded sea front, with silly queues everywhere. The places I’ve eaten in cleethorpes before have been overpriced and underwhelming, not this lovely little cafe, thank you!

The service is lovely and it came early and the meal was hot and good quality.

Been here loads of times, always excellent, the takeaways and delivery ‘s have always been 5*, but today was a real disappointment. Lasagne was like a child portion, badly burned, very dry, half of it was uneatable and the pasta was uncooked in the middle with no sauce., chips were cold mainly as if they had been dropped quickly in the fryer and lifted out, usually it’s a really generous portion, juicy and succulent and we come out feeling we’ve had a lovely lunch - but not today !! the worst thing is the amount of people we have recommended come here for value and standard of food, and the staff are lovely, which hasn’t changed, but generally today was awful !!!

Toven's Cafe is a good small family run and family friendly cafe on St. Peter's Avenue in Cleethorpes.Its a decent no frills restaurant, that has friendly owners and appears to have a strong local clientele. It's not fine dining here but the food on offer is good and very reasonably priced,which you can eat in,takeaway or have it delivered,they accept telephone orders or you can order online. The menu includes everything from breakfasts, light bites to a selection of hot meals,which include roast dinners and pies,they also have a children's menu. It has a fairly modern look with a basic table and chair layout.Table service is provided and it has it's own restroom which along with its entrance and table arrangement are wheelchair friendly,there's also a couple of tables outside during the warmer months. There's parking available on the adjacent side street and a pay and display car park on the High street. This cafe accepts card payments, it is also a dog friendly place 🐕 and opens 7 days a week. It has a 5***** food hygiene rating. Food review April 2019. I opted for a roast pork dinner and a mug of tea, the choice of meat and vegetables were limited as I had arrived after a busy lunchtime rush.Never the less a good plate of food arrived after a short wait,comprising of a good selection of both fresh and frozen vegetables,some freshly made stuffing and a homemade Yorkshire pudding. The pork was nicely roasted and decent quality. Not a bad meal at all and very well priced at £7.05 for both the meal and the drink. Food review December 2023. Had lunch here again today, I opted for a Turkey dinner and a tea, a good sized plate of food arrived after a short wait, a good selection of vegetables,mashed potatoes, carrots, peas,cabbage, brussel sprouts, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and lots of turkey,very nice and well priced at between £8 and £9 for my meal and tea. 😊 They have started serving for in the evening's on certain days of the week but I'm not clear on which particular days or the times so best contact them directly.

Had a tuna melt - tuna was stone cold and cheese had clearly come straight out of a packet. Staff was friendly, food wasn't.

Dont order a delivery from here food was cold .Fried bread was horrible end bits of the loaf never known a cafe to serve them without asking first, buns were soggy with the bacon cold inside wont be ordering again.

Great for all day breakfast , snacks or just a coffee whilst meeting up with friends

Basic, no frills cafe with good honest food at reasonable prices. 2 full breakfasts with tea came to £16. Eggs done just how I asked for them and not too salty bacon. Dogs welcome and even given a free sausage, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

No cheese on pasta bake and poor quality beef on the dinner. This aside, veg was cooked to perfection and tasted fresh.

First time visiting after being a regular visitor to Cleethorpes, staff are lovely and very happy to help, dog friendly which is a plus only think I'd change is doggy breakfast option food was red hot and very tasty 10/10 will be coming again

Best cooked breakfast we have found so far in Cleethorpes. Great value for money portions. Lovely friendly staff. If you are after a proper cafe breakfast Tovens is the place for you.

Waited an hour and a half, ordered a double cheese burger with chips, only received a single burger but after that wait I couldn’t be bothered to ring up. Burger meat was absolutely awful, never tasted a burger like that before, chips where nice.

Bacon wasn't that warm at all, and some off the bacon was dark, which tells me you had that bacon in the fridge for a while and it doesn't taste good at all so I didn't eat them bits

Delivery was 20 mins late, phone number for restaurant doesn't work. The food was disgusting, chips undercooked and clearly reheated, tuna melt soggy and greasy, the bun was literally two rashers of bacon and a sausage when i ordered extra bacon. Would not recommend at all, worst takeaway I've ever had.

Ordered breakfast buns after a short sleep as of just come back from holiday and was severely jet lagged. Food was brill - ordered fanta lemon but got orange - not the end of the world. Would order again. Foot hot, plenty of it and tasty.

Ordered for the 1st time fried bread was terrible. Everything else was OK. Very average.

Waited nearly 2 hours for the option A wrap and a cappuccino. Food came cold, cappuccino looked like dish water and the wrap wasn’t even wrapped. Really wouldn’t recommend.

From ordering to delivery was almost two hours who has breakfast after 1pm really not happy and won't be using again
