We thoroughly enjoyed our morning tea at Touchwood Cafe- the coffee was strong and my dirty chai was full of flavour. All cakes except the chocolate cake are made on the premises by the chef and I can say the rhubarb/ apple cake is to die for!!!

Delicious breakfast! Very friendly staff. They were short staffed due to Christmas holidays and there was a bit of a wait for food and coffee but they communicated it excellently and made sure everyone was taken care of. Gorgeous views. Great coffee. Will be back.

Desperate for something to eat but not wanting to sit down I plumped for a takeaway pie. I wish I hadn’t for the price. $12 for a small beef pie in a brown paper bag. Sure it was homemade and delicious but it was very small, lightweight and expensive for what it was. I also had to wait ten minutes for it, to be microwaved I think. I was expecting something a bit more substantial for the price, sorry.

Incredible breakfast, outstanding service and the ‘most delicious’ scones in Tasmania! The owners and staff provide an outstanding service, no waiting for coffee and meals, everything was cooked to perfection. We had the Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon on freshly baked Sourdough bread, it was ‘superb!’ Followed this up with their ‘signature’ scones with jam and cream, all made on site, and straight out of the oven, the scones were warm and incredibly fluffy, and the jam was homemade with freshly whipped ‘vanilla cream.’ It’s an essential part of eating out in Stanley...thank you so much, we all loved it!

This lovely little cafe was appealing in Stanley and so we stopped by. Lovely views from our window seat. The service was excellent. My husband had the curried scallop pie and I had the quiche which was one of the tastiest ever, served with salad. One of the few Stanley businesses who bothered to open. Lovely breakfast & lunch. One of the few Stanley businesses that bothered to re open on the June long weekend after COVID 19 openings. We came for our regular visit to Stanley for 3 nights to find this was one of the only eateries open. Lucky the food was great and the service lovely. We ate out here and the pub for all meals for 3 days. A small town that thrives on tourism and being able to trade after so long with restrictions we thought we’d visit this town, out of the many we could have as it’s a favourite and new they would need our business. Thanks Touchwood for opening, you obviously “get it” more than the other businesses. We will return and support you again and again. Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict and the Pannini which had a relish that made it. Thanks and all the best!

The views out over the bay are calming & picturesque. From the moment you walk in your a greeted well & the breakfast menu had a bit of everything. The big breakfast is ample & tasty. Recommend a stop here for a great start to a weekend. It is an intimate area & tables when we were there ranged from 2 -4 people setting. If after bigger table ask as they potentially are able push tables together, however when we attended it was pretty popular however it become quieter closer towards the last hour of service.
