Totoro Rice Bar in Bournemouth

Highly recommend this restaurant, food excellent on time and very efficient

It’s unfair to rate restaurant according to delivery service. However, neither restaurant nor Just eat bother to provide customer services re: rude delivery guy. Delivery guy refuse to deliver to flat door , giving the excuse of “ it’s covid rule . There is no longer covid isolation rule for a year already . He then “ I only receive £3.00 , not worth it “. Complain as much as you like then he left . Refuse to give his name . How on earth — he work as delivery job . Ridiculous .

The food here is so nice, Miso soup and a Bento box tonight, very tasty and delivered on time. Will definitely order again from here.

Very friendly man running the restaurant and cooking the food, very courteous and apologetic for a slight wait… we didn’t wait long at all and he had only just opened! We both went for Bento Box 2 which included: Rice, Bulgogi Beef or Chilli Pork (I had pork my husband had beef), 2 Tempura Prawns, 2 Fried Dumplings, 2 Spring Rolls, 2 Chicken Skewers and a portion of chilli chicken balls each. The food arrived nicely presented and looked great… it tasted fab! Everything was so full of flavour, cooked wonderfully and the meat was nice and tender. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and were so full afterwards. All for a really good price too! Rice Bar Totoro is on our list of places to return to soon, we want to try the rest of the great looking menu!

Had the Vento boxes, one small and one large. Great food - somewhere that says "chilli" and means it! Good delivery time and reasonably priced. Would recommend.

Quality Korean Food. The Bento Box 2 is nice . Trade the spring rolls for Kimchi! Love the sesame on the chicken skewers.

LOVE this place! Brilliant sushi and delicious food! Took my boyfriend for an anniversary treat and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Lots of veggie options too which I was pleasantly surprised by. The best for me was their rice bowls! Small but cute cozy place especially for students. Also loved the totoro anime them to it! Super affordable too! Would defiantly recommend :)

I order from Totoro's pretty regularly and I've never had a meal that's bad quality or cold. It's a lovely little place with great tasting food. Doesn't skimp on the portions and I recommend it to others. My only dislike is they've removed the Mogu Mogu drinks from the menu which were my favourite

Had totoro few times and always really yummy. Haven’t Korean before this place be great for newbies to get their head around basic yummy Korean food.

Food was disgusting! Chicken smells like out of date and the rest even worst than 'Ready to eat' from local shops... Impossible to eat that kind of 'food'... Everything is already in the bin... I can't believe how can you give for customer that bad food... First and last time with it.

This little rice bar has been at the top of my road for ages and I've never tried it. I ordered the Bento box and tempura prawns, both were really tasty. My order arrived 10 mins early which was fine and free delivery too. I will definitely be ordering again to try other dishes as they have a nice choice of Korean dishes.

Absolutely amazing food, we were really impressed with the bibimbap, dumplings and sushi. We requested a later time instead of ASAP and they came within 30 minutes, so timing was off but food was so good we didn't mind too much, at least we were in to get it!

Possibly the worst, most disappointing meal I’ve ever received. In times where we are unable to actually visit a restaurant, takeaway is as close as we’ll get. After spending £40 on ‘sushi’ as soon as it was delivered I had to drive it straight to a public bin as I didn’t want the disgusting smell sitting in my bin for over a week. The chicken skewers were grey, even the dog wasn’t interested. Tuna sushi?! Straight from a tin. The packaging was cheap, the smell was horrendous. Will never order from here again and I hope nobody else does after this review. Save your money or find another sushi place that actually has quality fish.

The food was cold, not of great quality and over 30 minutes late. The restaurant blamed it on a new driver but when he arrived he said he wasn’t new. It took “20 minutes” to arrive from less than a mile away. Just eat have refunded me in full. Wouldn’t order here again.

Food was piping hot and delicious as always! Just what was needed on a rainy evening. I recommend the chilli beef bibimbap and the tempura Udon.

Let me start by saying our case was an outlier, as the restauarant had some trouble with their delivery driver on the night that was out of their control - hence the food came a little bit later than expected - however we were completely kept informed of this by mobile, so very happy with the service. Now the Food... The food was to die for. We ordered a large array of different dishes (Maki, Miso, Udon, Katsu, skewers) - It was all Absolutely fantastic. We were sat there making the kind of noises you wouldn't associate with food whilst enjoying every mouthful. Even with the issue mentioned in the first paragraph, I cannot stress how amazing the quality, quantity and presentation of the food was. Honestly my favourite local Japanese takeaway to date. Thank you for the amazing service and grub!

This is my favourite takeaway in Winton when I want something healthy but can't be bothered to cook. Plus it's great because they do lovely vegetarian options. It's also really cute to sit in and eat, I love coming with my boyfriend. I like the lighting and the chilled out atmosphere. Also the staff are wonderful, they are really sweet and nice! Enjoyed our first meal here. Sushi and Kimchi were delicious and made whilst we waited. Good sized portions - best sushi we have had. Quaint no frills small restaurant - good to notice the hygiene rating was 5.

I really enjoyed the food and would order again. I tried things I had never heard of so its always a gamble, 2 dishes I would order again, 1 I wasn't keen on but you can't like everything 😀

The owner is a nice korean man, who cooks typical korean dishes. Non greasy food, good quality and portions. Prices absolutely reasonable. The restaurant looks cute, and they do both eat-in and takeaway, plus delivery service. We have eaten here often, and we will again in the future.

MY first order from here and very pleased 😁 with the food. the bento box 2 is amazing I haven't enjoyed a takeaway as good as this for some time, such a fantastic selection. food arrived well within the time slot and the driver was polite and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND DEFINITELY ORDER AGAIN

Fresh, tasty and quick. After eating this meal, you don't feel like your arteries are clogging up and have to do a half marathon just to burn it off. doesn't taste like a takeaway, but of a quality restaurant i would go back to again. healthy fast food is the future!!

Hand made to order sushi rolls. Chilli pork, kimchi and prawn are great. The kimchi is also rather lovely but not over spicy. Decor is cartoon walls and picnic tressle table with a tree.

Would do with more meat on the plate bigger portions .
