The atmosphere at this place was fantastic for a birthday party! I had such a great time and would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

Went for the first time today and was impressed from the moment we walked in. We received a very warm welcome and the chef came out to talk us through the menu as we are new to authentic Korean food. She really took her time advising us. I'm in a wheelchair and they couldn't do enough to ensure my comfort. The food was absolutely incredible. So fresh and clean tasting, with a mix strong and subtle flavours, all presented beautifully. We have booked to come back with family in a few days because we are desperate to try more. Highly highly recommend.

Really loved their LA Galbi! Been craving for this after watching Jinny's Kitchen and it didn't dissappoint. Very tender and yummy!. Hubby loved their Dolsot bibimbap as well. There is a wait for the food but it's all worth it. Clean toilets and Lovely staff as well. Can't wait to try their other dishes❤️ thank you!

No idea if the Chicken Katsu Ramen or the Bibimbap were authentic Korean as it was the first Korean meal for us. But it was SUPER tasty. And the starters (gyoza and yakidori) of course too. The illustrated menu is of course particularly helpful for beginners. If we lived there we could go more often... Great service, nice staff.

Went here with three of my closest mates the food was great with a busy atmosphere that felt really homely I’ll definitely be coming with more friends couldn’t recommend it more!

First time visit after a recommendation and it did not disappoint. All the staff are lovely and helpful. Food was so delicious, I already know what I want next time. It's a bit hidden down Alma Road but it was worth finding. We will be back.

Outstanding quality and taste of Jjampong and Sullongrang. Also The thickness cooking of Kimch pancake was perfect. Personally the best Korean food in UK.

We went for the first time this evening, wanting to try out Korean food and having read many good reviews here. The restaurant was easy to find and was bright and cheerful. We found everything to be excellent. Plenty of friendly suggestions on what to eat. Beautiful food served quickly. It all tasted wonderful. We will be going back.

Never had Korean food before but what a treat, staff are very welcoming and polite and the food tasts so good and price is very reasonable. Would highly recommend. Its on a main road but plenty of side roads to find parking withing 3 minute walk.

Food I could eat was excellent however the ramen didn’t travel well at all despite being very well packed. I suspect the driver dropped it. All the soup was in the bag so wasn’t unable to eat it. Won’t use Just Eat again for delivery.

Report to trading standards! We ordered "pajon" (파전) which is a delicious fried flour pancake with vegetables in it. I could not believe it we were served an egg omelette with veg in! Entirely not a flour pancake... I also ordered Sundubu chigae (순두부찌개) - didn't taste anything like it should have done. The owners seemed nice but I cannot understand how they serve entirely entirely different to what it should be. Can you imagine ordering a pizza and then being given a tomato and cheese omelette? No me neither ...

Food was really lovely. They made special accommodations for my partner as he doesn’t eat pork, which was super nice. We had the hot pot and BBQ, and would definitely be back as the portions were good and the food was great.

A friend and I visited the Maru at lunch time. The decor and atmosphere are great, however the food is amazing. None of this toned down hip Korean chains, this food is full on flavour with the right amount of chilli. I had kimchi Jeon for a starter, nice and hot and a very large plate full. I ordered ginger tea which was not a tea bag, but infused ginger root, so nice for a change. Then chicken katsu remen for a main. Tender chicken lightly coated in bread crumbs with a lovely noodle broth underneath. Very large portion. The food was so good I had to have a desert. This time full English all homemade. The sticky toffee pudding with homemade ice cream was light and gorgeous. All in a wonderful experience.

If you are looking for an authentic Korean restaurant then this it. Very nice service and approach to the customer. Food is freshly made to order. Staff is very polite and friendly. It was slightly cold inside, so some of us had to keep our coats on, but once you eat you will warm up. If you want to book a table for more than four people then you should call them, online booking doesn't allow you to do that. Recommend to visit.

We went to that Corean restaurant because a friend recommended to me, with my family and it was really nice to taste something different. The food was tasty and the service was outstanding ! We had some porc roasted on the type of plancha and I really enjoyed that restaurant.

Genuinely my new favourite restaurant. Food is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The hosts are super friendly and helpful and explained how to best cook the BBQ and make the lettuce wraps. Lovely atmosphere, and service was still quick even though it was a busy Saturday night. 10/10

Came here from London, have been to all the top trendy Korean places there and this meal was as good if not better than anything I've eaten. The staff were so friendly too. You have to try the kimchi, bibimbap and homemade matcha ice cream. Will definitely be coming back!

Had an amazing birthday here, the staff were so nice, took photos of us, helped us cook our BBQ and gave us free Kimchi rice. Brilliant, a must go 😁

Called in for lunch and the food was superb and beautifully presented. Such a friendly host who helped us choose dishes and recommended the crispy sweet-chilli fried tofu, which was delicious as too were the vegetable dumplings. We'll definitely be back to try more. 😊

I love this place! Excellent authentic Korean food, great service and atmosphere. I came away feeling that I had been well fed, looked after and cared for by the 2 ladies that own the place. There’s clearly passion, skill and love that go into what they are doing here. I’ll be going back soon.

The Newly refurbished restaurant is warm and cosy with a lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly and accommodating. We shared a selection of starters which were all delicious my favourite was the prawn dumplings with micro greens dressed salad. Then I had the teriyaki chicken which was equally good. Prices are very reasonable and we would definitely recommend eating here.

We regularly visit Maru for birthdays or a treat. The service is excellent. They will help you with menu and drink choices if your new to Korean cuisine. We love the table top barbecue where you cook your food at the table to your liking. Try the squid and pork BBQ so yummy. Load up the meat and onions into lettuce leaves, add a little rice, kimchi (crunchy and freshly made), add a little gochujuan paste, roll it up as best you can and give your mouth a flovour sensation.

The best Korean food I had in the UK🥹🥹 The stews are delicious, the stone pot rice is delicious, the various side dishes are delicious, and I think the best of them all is Jjambbong!!😆😆 I think I will come here very often whenever I miss Korean food while studying abroad in the UK!!

This is the best Korean restaurant in Bournemouth, there are around 3-4 in the area but if you want real traditional Korean food this is the place to be. Its location is perfect as it is in Charminster which is close to Bournemouth town and castle point. The prices are very reasonable and I would highly recommend the Korean BBQ which is on offer here!

Me and my friend tried the Budae jjigae , steamed rice and strawberry flavoured soju with kimchi. The rice you have to order separately and one was enough for both of us. The food was so tasty and mouth watering. Kimchi was so delicious. The quantity and the quality was both more than good and it's worth for the price. The staff was really nice and welcoming. Atmosphere was so peaceful and pleasant. I would highly recommend this restaurant as well as the food specifically the dish we tried. It was 10/10❤️ I would definitely go back to try more dishes.

Came here for our anniversary tonight and had the most wonderful meal. I honestly cannot fault anything. My partner was struggling to find parking so I had a ginseng tea while I waited which the lovely waitress brought to me and said she could sweeten it if I found it bitter, but I thought it was delicious! We had the kimchi and pork pancakes which were just divine! We also had the tteokboki with added cheese, kimchi, spicy pork bibimbap and seolleongtang. Just, wow. The seolleongtang was so rich and delicious and the rest of the food was wonderful too. It tasted homemade and hearty and we ate way more than our stomachs could take. We didn't feel rush at all, the ambience was nice and the prices were more than fair. Our total order came to £55 which for two mains, around three sides and three drinks is great. The staff were also incredibly friendly and kind and we definitely will be coming back again soon.

Amazing experience, the staff is super nice and the dishes are phenomenal. My usual order includes some dumplings, gimari (forgive me if my spelling is wrong), miso soup and a Korean typical stew made of beef broth with glass noodles. Everything is always delicious. Amazing for the price, perfect place if you are looking for a typical and traditional korean restaurant.

Ramen was so hot(temperature, not spice), I have never received a such a hot takeaway in my life! So thumbs up for that. Veggie ramen soup lacked taste. I had to get my soy sauce and spices out. I would have expected a Korean place to at least sprinkle kimchi on:) To sum up- delivery and service 10 points, ramen taste 6-7ish.

Worst food I ever had in my life! Poor hygienic, salty, not fresh at all!! There were fruit flies in my drink. The waitress was so rude we didn’t even ask for bills, she brought the bill to our table without asking, and rushed us to pay. I would never back there again.
