Torquay Yummies in Torbay

Absolute rip off, I paid £9.50 for a chicken shish kebab and I must have got 7 small pieces of chicken in it, I had salad in there as well and you cam say that there was twice as much salad as meat, the quality of the food was average but compared to other kebab house out there value for money you really don't get here, I won't be returning I'm afraid

The Doner meat is always cold and the salad is taken from the back trays and mainly lettuce. The sauce is meagre. It is unlike the Newton abbot shop. Staff are not the least bit friendly and the shish is grisly.

How can you deliver a takeaway 2 x Donner Kebabs to me that is cold and i hade to microwave to heat it up !!! thus making the Pita bread soggy when I only live approx. 400 Metres away from your Shop £2 delivery charge and a service charge ???? When Ali owned the business it was great . What's gone wrong ?????

Worst Kebab I've ever had! When I phoned to tell them the lamb was all grissle and why was it cold because they delivered in around 15 minutes. It was so quick the just eat didn't update from "order confirmed" to "it's on its way"?? When I phoned to complain I got a load of abuse from the owner saying. "Listen mate, I cook on grill just now it's fine" I said "you listen mate"! I'm the customer so you should be listening to me"!!and he started shouting at me like I was talking out of my back end! I ordered from here as a change from kebab revolution. £40 down the swanny for meat I wouldn't give to my dog! Awful, rude and avoid avoid avoid avoid! kebab Revolution all they way now they may be a little more expensive but they guarantee hot tasty food that doesn't come with a side of abuse! I d rather eat a box of wasps than eat from yummies again..... rubbish...gerrofff!

Checked in on delivery and was told within 5 mins and guess what....done !!!! Again , amazing food and on top of their game ....five star review *****

Ordered every day for almost a month and although I order with them with utmost respect and courtasy and not via just eat so they get to keep all the money, the animal behind the counter talks to me like sh*t. Today was the last straw..even though their chicken was dry and smelly the last time I ordered i didn't complain but after the guy who was taking my order told me to hurry up when I told him to put extra sweet chillie when I hadn't even been on the phone for 10 seconds, I put the phone down.. The food isn't always on par with the rest of the kebab houses and I only order because they are on the same street. My advise is to order from charcoal grill..better value less greasy and lovely to talk to on the phone.

After 3 visits and only a sample of time spent watching staff operate, the hygiene practice is poor and presents a risk to customers. Customer service is also poor leaving you stood waiting while the staff look at you while making orders. Erm hello there's a customer in the shop stood in front of you, at least say I'll be right with you, no manners, will not be returning for hygrine reasons!

Ordered a 12 inch margarita with peperoni online and they were very efficient with notifying when ready for collection. Sadly it was very greasy and although the dough base tasted nice it was not crisp and so hard to pick and stay clean of the grease dripping everywhere.

So when you've had a few drinks and require something quick and tasty then this take-away is convenient. Will revisit.

U ever ordered a donor kebab of this lot? I have and its the worse I've ever had. They put the pita bread at the bottom of the pollistrine tray and put the kebab meat and salad all over the top of it that when u eat though it u get the soggy horrible put bread. What ever u do also font order their French fries which are frozen and pored in to a fryer there are not drained and what u get in French fries floating in a tray of fat not nice at all. So not worth the money and to be honest I wouldn't rate them a -2 stars.

Went in 45 minutes before they closed and despite their menu, will not cook anything that's not 'ready to go'. I've been in 3 times now and asked for 3 pieces of fried chicken, which is on their printed menu, and 3 times I've been told 'no, we don't have chicken's. They're lazy...don't even bother, that's not the only thing- they won't have anything you want, and they're rude!

I regularly use Yummies. The donnas are always excellent and the staff friendly. The prices are fair. There’s usually enough parking opposite. That’s all you really need to know. Enjoy!

So me and my wife Susan had a horrific time at this so called takeaway place! when we arrived there the Turkish staff said that my wife wife is pengers and i had none of that so me and five man rushed in and stole their succulent lamb and dashed.

Visited Monday 23rd and had a tummies burger which was absolutely top drawer. My annoyance isn't the food it's the way I was short changed by the man behind the counter. In my opinion this is probably something he does as often as he can. Confidently placing the money in your hand whilst just before striking up a conversation and not even discussing the amount he was giving you. As soon as I left the shop I thought I'd been had and checked, guess what I was right. Should have checked before leaving I know. Lesson learned. In conclusion great food but CHECK YOUR CHANGE.

The food was fresh and beautiful. We were able to take it away and eat on the Downs. The staff were friendly and recommended we have the beef as the chicken was not quite ready. It was really nice.

This take away specialises in quick takeaway food. Kebabs, burgers, etc etc. We found the food very pleasant and was served hot, If you are looking for something quick ideal place to try.

Have used Yummies many times.Decided to get a kebab as my wife was out with friends.As usual a fantastic kebab and they don't skimp on the meat.Highly recommended.

Our children want to try tummies and to be fair we could not fault the place it was clean and the food was reasonably priced and extremely tasty Overall it was a pleasant experience and would try again

Having used Yummies for years , food has always been ok for a takeaway after 2 phone calls asking for the ware bouts of our food.the manager at yummies Fobbed us off and a lot of excuses , I felt the current manager dealt with poor service very badly !!!! It seems that a customer for years counts for nothing!!!! Very unsatisfied customer!!!)

Had a couple of takeaways from here whilst on our hols and they were all great. We tried burgers, pizza, kebabs and jacket potatoes. The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Muy buena comida y lugar rápido la comida en sí no demasiado grasiento, personal muy amable, nos dieron bebidas gratis, porque pedimos un poco. Hay varias opciones para vegetarianos, así que siempre es genial para ver. Aunque no mucho vegetariano opciones, pero no le permite ser exigente) las patatas fritas era mejor que las patatas fritas que ya habíamos probado tanto desde el pescado y patatas fritas tiendas. Cerca La velocidad de conseguir para nosotros era muy razonable, especialmente teniendo en cuenta lo ocupados estaban en la noche. En general, recomiendo y no dudaría en volver a ir otra vez, debería volver a Babbacombe. Sigan con el buen trabajo chicos!!!

I'm not really picky or anything but i've never seen ruder staff than this one...the food and the prices are ok but the staff is terrible...

Visited yummies twice last week both times the food was top notch. I had a large donner and my daughter a cheeseburger and we both thoroughly enjoyed it, so much so we ordered again later in the week. Great homemade chilli sauce.

My self and my partner found yummies one night as our local place is not great . The staff are very friendly and the food is fantastic we have been back 5 or 6 times since we found it .

Visited yummies at Babbacombe Friday with my family. Ordered food when getting the together the guy that was doing that got it wrong. Their customer service as well as their kebabs are not good. Their kebabs just look like Kabbalah meat in a tray with no pitta bread. Because I told them they had messed my order up the guy just threw and I mean threw a pitta bread in with my so called dinner kebab.

Yukeys have a kebab shop in tore which I have been two before no good to say the least went to there new cafe I the town centre what used to be wimpy know yummy the place was empty ordered fish and chips and a bacon sandwich pastry and chips having tacked half hours to cook our food it came the chips were dry the so called cod tasted like whitening the bacon toaster came with sald and chips lots off oils and mustard dressing food very low standard and considering its cost over twenty pounds for the food and three drinks there are much cheaper and better eaters in Torquay you can get unlimited drinks pasta sald and rolls main meal with salsa and a cream for £9,99 at harvester they really need to sort one there prices out two there service and there food .we will not be going again

Visited after a 4 hour drive to our hotel From the midlands, tired and hungry we decided takeaway would be ideal, hubby had a kebab and said it was ok nothing special, I had southern fried chicken which was dry and must have been left for hours, had dodgy stomach all night, chips were dry and tasted funny but I think it was due to being cooked in oil that was way past it's best. :( not great and expensive for awful food, think it would be fine after 15 pints on your way home as you wouldn't taste it!

Haven't been in for a while but the food was as good as ever. Plenty of other customers and orders being taken over the phone which is always the sign of a good takeaway. Our food was served fairly quickly and reasonably priced.

My favourite kebab and pizza place they always smile good services and they always put more meet and salad my favourite meal chefs special that are really good people and friendly highly recommend

This was a great kebab place but I thought it was a bit expensive. Good points:- Halal options (careful other kebab joints in Torquay may not be halal).- Doner Chicken wasnt greasy and oily- Friendly staff- Good location- The staff nicely packages the mealsBad Points:- Just a bit expensive

There are two Yummies in Torquay. The one I am reviewing is in Babacombe. Used to be my local kebab shop and very good all around. I would highly recommend the Mixed Kebab and is my favourite!
