It was rediculous that we got there and they told us we would not be served at their kitchen is closed even though we went by the timings online and that had said it was midnight. This was appalling as my friend has travelled from out of town we were turned away.

Amazing service from Zainah at Torros this Tuesday, the restaurant takes pre-orders in Ramadhan and shuts earlier than normal but we were lucky to be seated and served thanks to Zainah who knew we would have preferred to sit in and eat. Hatim was also very courteous, helpful and polite. Both of them were absolutely lovely. And I'm very happy I got to heave my chicken wings they're so delicious!

Poor poor quality. Steak was very under, almost blue, had to be sent back and even then came back unevenly cooked and still under. The restaurant was very cold, which meant food went cold quickly. Staff lacked knowledge on cuts of steak and werent very attentive.

I been there so many times and food is always on point but last 2 weeks in a row the pasta is over cooked the chips are hard and when u ask for sauce on food they add so little and service its disgusting the lady by the till has got so much attitude and a stick up her arse also how can a business not let people pay individually?? There ridiculous answer is because apparently they don't have change why are they operating if u can't use card or atleast let people pay individually and to top it off sorry we have no change what corruption is this im telling u it's defo money laundering and the need unexpected visits

We visit Leicester often and last time we came we ate at a resturant opposite Torros. Just walking past, we were surprised to see customers queuing outside and not an empty table insight. So we said we will definitely be visiting! So today comes, we travelled from London especially to eat at Torros Steakhouse, a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Can I say the minute we arrived we were greeted by a lovely host (sorry didn't take your name!) Who sat us down within 10 minutes, but kept us informed of the seating situation throughout our wait. We sat and a young chap came and took our order he was polite, patient and explained the menu without hesitation. We ordered from the sizzlers Lamb steak, rice peri peri chips Chicken steak, rice, peri peri chips A plain cheese burger and chips Chicken mash plate The food was amazing. Portion sizes are very empresive. The garlic and mushroom sauce is to die for! If you do decide to go, please do so, you will not be disappointed. The food, ambiance and staff work hand in hand to make this place what it is. We definitely WILL be coming back... all the way from London just to eat there.

Extremely disappointed with the quality of food and service received. Steaks were not cooked well at all. Far too much pepper. Presentation was abysmal. Service was non existent. Being proactive is definitively not something staff are familiar with. Neither is common courtesy to customers. Not once were we asked how are food was, neither did they inform us it was cash only. Only once we asked for the bill they found it appropriate to disclose this. Avoid this restaurant if looking for a nice steak meal!

This is the worst steak house you can go to. First of all they they don’t serve water you have to pay. The steak is appalling thin slices of meat. If you want good steak go to Steak and Lounge. That’s the problem with franchises they mess it up as the whole passion for cooking goes out the window. Avoid at all costs appalling service only people who don’t know steak go to these places.

Really upsetting with the services, First at all owner of this Restaurant want to make money in Black, not excepting payment by debit or credit card for the reason given machine out of order, secondly owner want to save energy bill because air conditioning is not on, really fil uncomfortable, Third owner refuse to provide water, oblige to buy for drink, Fourth the price is 3 times higher than the same range of restaurant around the area, Five the staff are not qualified for the services expectations for the prices. I will never go next time.

My family Have eaten here many years but lately I have been very dissatisfied with the service and the quality of food. I felt that the food has gone downhill, my family members always loved the surf and turf but it is tasting very dry and tasteless lately , also the Caesar salad was not a Caesar salad at all the meat was not seasoned correctly it was all wrong and the croutons were horrible and very hard. One of the worst thing I’ve experienced here is that the mocktails are total nonsense ,served in a small glass full of ice ? It’s terribly wrong .I hope they can improve the service and food soon.

I ordered well done lamb chops meal only to receive it was raw with bits of pink and blood dripping from the meat. Once I complained to the staff about the dissatisfaction they offered to cook it again. However, upon receiving it I discovered it the same meat uncooked just charcoal grilled burnt to a crisp on the edges whilst covered in hot sauce. When I got my chops on first serving I got 4 pieces lamb when they brought it back my 4 pieces, it had 1 piece extra with red sauces on top. Perhaps it may have been some one else' left over food. Also, the sanitation in the establishment was unhygienic as the toilet seat was on the floor irrespective of the fact it supported an 80 seater capacity within the restaurant- this is not only uncomfortable but a mirroring of the fact there is no respect for female customers. Being a certified halal restaurant I struggle to understand why in such a modern society especially with issues such as covid and health and safety restriction being publicised you have failed to adhere to follow such basic hygiene policies.

I thought I’d give Torros another go. It had been a few years since my last trip there, which was also underwhelming and this time I went with family. Although they have had mixed experiences with it too they have had a few good meals down the years so we hoped today it would not disappoint. How wrong we were…I’d like to point out, i have never left a review for anything in my life. I don’t like to leave negative reviews on other people’s businesses. It feels spiteful and silly. But I genuinely think the prices they charge and what they advertise should be called out for how inconsistent and poor their service and food is, or they’ll continue to disappoint customers, and other restaurants will feel they can get away with the same or worse. This review won’t even mention the hassle and palaver we had to deal with over seating which they decided to make stricter than government lockdown rules which I pointed out to them. So I ordered their classic beef burger - you know, the menu item that is supposed to be a hot seller and bang-on consistently good every time, especially at a steak and burger joint!! They have this weird red/pink colouring to the burger bun and I thought that couldn’t hurt - it’s just colouring (I’ve had the charcoal burger thing before at other places and thought this would be something similar). The bun was ATROCIOUS and physically inedible! Had the texture and taste of cardboard and I couldn’t actually bite into it without being quite forceful or even cut into it - I left it to one side. The patty was also pretty average if not supermarket standard. They advertise it as quality 100% prime beef but am not sure they know what that means, or they’re happy to use the cheap stuff that you can buy at a frozen foods shop or supermarket. It was horrid for a £10 burger. So all in all, a 1/10 on the burger and chips. Now onto the other issue we had. The kid’s steak meal option. I got this for my younger brother who claimed to have enjoyed it the last time he got it. This time was an absolute disaster and I felt like i was talking to a brick wall each time a waiter came to the table and I explained what was wrong - unresponsive, unfriendly, not really showing any care or desire to understand what I was asking for. We asked for the steak to be medium and had to explain this several times. The guy running the shop that day seemed very inexperienced and didn’t seem to know the different ways a steak can be cooked, I’m not sure some of the waiters did. When I mentioned that the raw steak should be cooked he kind of just stared and I felt like he didn’t know English. The first time they brought it out, it was partly well done in some pieces and partly raw- no, not rare, actually raw. We asked for it to be replaced and the same again- actually slimy and raw steak on the plate. So we asked for it to be fixed for a third time and this was edible. But the quality of the steak provided in the kids meal is so so poor I felt embarrassed helping my brother to cut it and asking him to try and eat a clearly very poor cut of meat that he struggled to chew. I’ve been eating steak for a long time at a number of places and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. In the end they offered not to charge for the kids meal. And I didn’t even mention a burger because of how long it took to sort out the steak issue. Somehow a restaurant with a well known name didn’t fail to disappoint once again and I am baffled people pay what they do for what they serve up. They need a new chef, reduce their prices for the quality/ improve their supply of steak and burgers to something worth what they’re charging and actually train staff on how to serve customers- basics like speaking clearly, taking instructions, asking the right questions, etc. Sorry for the essay, but I am baffled they have got away with this for as long as they have. Improve!!PS - photo below is the first kids steak we got. Im not sure what cut of beef it was but am sure they use the absolute cheapest they could find for this item. Their second try I mentioned was even worse and you could clearly see slimy, purple/pink uncooked meat when you cut into it. I decided to spare their blushes and not take another photo.

Absolutely delicious steak,i like how they have the kids steak meals,very very generous proportions for kids at a great price.The one thing i dont like is how the downstairs seating area,has no windows,it feels a little bit closed in,but thats not stopping me from visiting again.A great place for steak and the staff are polite and food is served,not quick but in good time. Highchairs available for younger children.

Really poor food both mine and the wife’s food was shambles order fillet Mignon steak I promise you it was not I have eaten steak before so many times and I have also eaten at toros before and the food just keep going low in standard told them medium came out fully cooked no point eating steak and also the steak it self was tiny you charge £24 pounds at least serve the proper steak or just charge more but give real steak not fake steak I rather pay more and eat better then throw my money in the bin never comming back again really disappointed

Gone downhill in service and food quality. Not just this Toros but almost all franchises are as bad. Quality of meat is appalling and never cooked to what I ordered. Staff are argumentative and so are the managers! Most of our food went into the bin, would have rather stayed at home with pizza, would have saved a lot more money. If they don’t change they will go under like the other franchises.

Bad food and bad service. Let down by awful service and waiters. No free tap water even if you order soft drinks. Staff have an attitude problem and don't know their own menu. I was told the bottled water is 500ml, only to find its 330ml after ordering it. Ventilation is poor downstairs, everyone was coughing due to smoke when the sizzlers arrived.

The bottle if water is £2.45 what a rip off & I am sure it was bottled tap water. And finally they dnt accept card, cash only. We all know why. What a Bunch of scammers. Will never go back there.

One Friday night, I decided to go to toros with friends I had not seen for a while. We were very excited to see one another and catch up and thought the new and improved toros would be the perfect place. The food was exquisite and the service was fantastic. Our food came quickly and was sizzling hot. HOWEVER, what let the whole experience down was the crippling need to use the toilet. We spent the entire night staring at the toilet door and bouncing in our seats waiting for someone to come out the ONE toilet they have for both males and females and the disabled. Finally, at the very end of the meal the toilet became free. Full of joy and worried I may wet my new jeans with piss, I ran to the toilet only to find some one beat me to it. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE LET DOWN. Will only come back if you get more toilets.

We had visited toros newly refurbished and ordered 4 sizzling steak platters. It was my sons birthday and we decided to dine out for steak. Honestly speaking it was the worst experience as the prices have increased on all listings on their menu. Drinks are £2.45 each amazingly high prices then other restaurants and steak portions have down sized with changes on grilled vegetables and now using frozen vegetables. We were very disappointed when the food arrived as did not taste the same as before we has been. The service is very poor and they don't even provide tap water. You have to pay for drinking water aswell. The steak went cold within few minutes and we could not enjoy our meals. We complained but they gave silly excuses about they service. We are now charged more to what we paid for our meals so this means the customers are paying for the decor they have spent on the restaurant. Above all we need to realise is toros only accepts cash why????? In thus day and age all businesses accept card payments so why cash only????Worst experience and not visiting again. Overall every time we have been to eat at toros we have had mixed experience never consistent. I believe if we pay for the food we should get a good service and good food regardless. This is why we dine out so we can enjoy a nice meal with family so we remember a good day out.They need to improve in all the areas to provide a good dining experience to their customers or close if they can't be bothered.

We had arrived and waited 30 mins to receive a table. The waiter came to collect our order and I had requested a well done steak. Once everyone had got their meals I had received a lamb steak which was half bone. As I applied a little pressure on the top of the steak with a knife the steak had blood dripping from it. As I cut through the steak I had realised it was extremely undercooked. I told the waiter and she had ran into the back with my meal and later came back. We had got the attention of the manager who was extremely rude and belittled me infront if everyone. He constantly said that I was wrong and didn’t have any knowledge about how steak is cooked. At one point he had said “ Iv been cooking steak before you were born” he continued to get louder and made sexist and racist comments such as “ you’re complaining like a woman” and “ are you a Muslim” and “steak will have blood in it as it is an animal”As I’m 20 years old I felt my immune system would not be badly affected but as to think this meal could have been given to someone older was appallingAs we argued for ten mins I had decided to get up and leave. So we decided to visit newly opened Toros in Leicester on Saturday night. I have been a regular customer for the past few years so I was quite excited to go as they had just done it all up, I went with my family, 4 adults (women) and 3 children. A few days earlier I called to book a table but they advised this is not something they can do and we will just have to turn up on the day, so we decided to go anyway. We got to the restaurant at 7:30pm and were told our table will be ready for 9pm and we will receive a call so we went home whilst we waited. It was almost 9pm and we hadn't recieved a call so I called them to find out what was going on at which point I was told we were not guaranteed a table for 9pm?! I was shocked! I asked why have you told me to wait 1.5 hours if you cannot give me a table for 9pm? The waiter on the phone kept saying I dont know and we will call you once we know. We decided that we would start making our way anyway as we thought if we are there they will remember to seat us, when we were on our way we recieved a call to let us know the table is ready. We went in and sat down, weren't given any menus so we managed to get one of the waiters attention to provide us with menus. We waited a further 20 minutes to get the waiters attention to place our order but again we were completely ignored. I understand they can be busy but then there were people who were seated after us who got their menus straight away and someone went up to take their order as well! (They pick and choose as there were a few groups of people waiting inside - whereas we were told we would have to wait outside in the cold)The 2 men at the counter wearing suits who were clearly the managers didn't acknowledge us despite his trying to grab their attention. After 20 mins of waiting I got up to tell the manager to send someone over to take our order, the younger manager then comes marching to the table after me and says "what's your problem?" I said, what do you mean, I basically had to come to toros to book a table, waited 1.5 hours, never recieved a call until I called up and have now been sitting here for 20 mins and no one has come to take our order. He said " that's not our problem, you having to wait 1.5hrs for a table has nothing to do with the waiting time for someone to take your order, we'll take your order when were ready" We were so shocked at this point, he did not look at the way he was speaking to a group of women who had children with them! If they cant handle the amount of customers they are getting they need a better way of managing that, at the end of the day we pay for the service and food we order, we dont expect to be treated in this manner for something were paying for! The manager was raising his voice at this point and was being extremely rude. The waiter came over to the table and said "I'm ready to take your order", the manager said to him "DONT TAKE THERE ORDER, GO!" This just topped our whole experience off, not only was he rude, arrogant and screaming the place down he had the nerve to tell the waiter not to take our order as if we did something wrong! We were then walking out when the young looking manager started to scream at us, telling us to "GET OUT" in front of all his customers. He also got personal and called me a "FAT S***" the older man who was also a manager did not intervene and let the him run his mouth off! This situation literally made me feel sick, how can someone who calls themselves a manager speak to a customer or anyone in this manner?! People like this own businesses? It's a joke! Were not the only ones who have been treated like this, there are more reviews on trip advisor. To think your giving them business and yet they dont care about their customers at all! They speak to you in a demeaning way and obviously cannot take criticism! Also goes to show never believe these bloggers who promoted the "new" and "improved" Toros because clearly they will not speak the truth! We then went to Kobe sizzlers and recieved top notch service which should be given by every restaurant! I will never visit ANY TOROS and wouldn't recommend any person who doesnt know then or have a following on social media to go there, you will not be valued as a customer!

Alright so they’ve changed the location.. think they needed to desperately. It was an extremely run down restaurant! Food is super average. Nothing amazing or complex about it! The sizzling brownie was inedible and the service was beyond poor (young none English speaking people). Brownie came burnt to the crisp and just tasted of burnt caramel and an over cooked cookie (I can usually annihilate anything sweet within 5 seconds).

The new place looks great but after all this new decor how is there still not a card machine forcing customers to walk to the nearest cash machine. The steak was abit cold and not cooked to medium like asked. The chips were nice but do not order the ‘spicy rice” it’s more like a bland microwave rice packet. Quite disappointed. Staff are ok.

Manager gave us the wrong bill even after we pointed to the table we ate at. He found our number and demanded we give the rest of the money. We agreed to drop it off the next day as we were in bed but he refused and said he needed it now now. We came and gave the money and the manager accused my mother of being a thief and blaming her for paying for the wrong bill. My brother refused to let him speak that way and he grabbed my brother wanting a fight. So unprofessional no customer service and they trying to copy posh restaurants and their updated menu tastes really bad.

Decided to visit the ‘newly improved’ toros steakhouse in Leicester as we are all fans of the food. We were initially told we had a 20/30 minute wait (outside in the cold) but after the 30 mins were up, we were told it would be a further 30-45 mins as they had ‘forgotten’ there was a party waiting before us.

As you can see the customer service is absolutely horrible but the chef seems to keep the food ok but overall needs a massive improvement in customer service and pricing. If you are paying for a £16 steak (any sort) you need to make sure as a steak house you are delivering the steak cut experience.

My friends and I went to this steakhouse for a meal. Upon arrival they were limited with there steak selection which is odd for a steak house. One of our meals' steak was completely raw and the manager agreed on this fact then very disrespectfully cut the uncooked portion off my friends plate at the table and took that piece back to the kitchen to recook the meat. Even though there was clearly raw meat on my friends plate he was never offered a new plat or to replace the side which were in contact with raw meat ect... The individual Zakkar started fully arguing with our table in front of the eniter full resturant where he claimed it was too expensive for the resturant to replace a 10 pound steak. After paying for our meal we asked for our server's name to contact the manager as we felt the service provided to us was very very unprofessional. Upon leaving the resturant Zakkar rushed my friends and I outside the resturant and asked us to take his home address and number (he came out trying to fight us). Luckily the manager of the resturant (Irfan) came between us and Zakkar and told the very unprofessional Zakkar to go inside and calm down before saying anything else to bring the restaurants name down. The manager was very curtious and clearly understood his worker was wrong and very unprofessional.The manager Irfan told Zakkar to apologize to us but Zakkar said her wouldn't and stormed off. I would be very very surprised if Zakkar is continued to be employed at this establishment. VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER. PAID 65 pounds to argue in a full resturant and getting approached outside by this establishments worker.

Chose to eat at this very popular steak house situated just outside the city centre as I fancied a rack of beef ribs. We were given a warm welcome and as new customers the manager offered us complementary starters! The menu is typical of any smokehouse we have visited and offers a good selection of starters and mains but as you would expect focuses on steak. The venue is alcohol free with no BYO policy (surprise number one) after ordering starters I was then informed that there were no racks of ribs left (surprise number two). Rather than leave, I waited for the chicken wing starter and was so pleased I did, the wings were delicious and prepared well, in fact so well, I ordered a further main course of the same which didn't disappoint. My wife's chicken sizzler starter was so large she could not finish it but enjoyed a good two thirds of it, which left her so full, no main course was required. We asked for the bill and good to his word, the manager only charged us for my main and the soft drinks we ordered. Amazing value! Overall, if you like meat this place is worth a visit and we look forward to returning.

The food was great but the customer service not so much. The staff came across rude and were very uncooperative. Splitting the bill was an issue and they were unable to take cash payments separately. We never have this problem anywhere else but here - it makes splitting the money complicated. If it was splitting card payments I’d completely understand but this did not make any sense, further to this, the cashier was getting frustrated as we attempted to collate our money. Normally we overlook this issue but on this occasion it was highlighted as it was dealt with in an extremely unprofessional manner.

This place is so backwards. You need the EXACT change for the food. EXACT. NO EXTRA. The staffs are sooo rude. It ruins your whole evening and day. Wosrt customer service. They don't even have a card machine. They expect you to bring cash. And it neede to be exact change!!! You can't even split the bill between your friends.

Just like most reviews on toros Leicester we were not greeted at the door ..literally shovelled to a table. They have young student type girls working as waitresses..they were not that busy and just stood by the counter talking rubbish with the manager (a youngish looking lad).. it was like being in a pub and they were laughing and joking loudly just by our table.. no regard for the paying customer.. the girl that served us was excruciatingly rude..she could not break a smile and barely uttered 2 words and looked terribly miserable. We ordered the wings which we specifically said we wanted no sauce drizzled on top..however it came with sauce.. we complained to the waiter who's response was 'what dya mean??!!'as if to say he was shocked..instead of saying we will bring another batch without sauce. . I had to get up and speak to the manager. .who sorted it out but was trying to tell me I was wrong and that's how they are always served!!

The steaks can be good but again it is a hit and miss thing. Sometimes the food is excellent and other times not so good. Same with the service it can be sloppy at times. Overall it is an average place. I also find that my clothes stink after I leave the place.

I love Toro’s, their Toro’s special steak is amazing however I was so disappointed during Ramadhan we were going in a big group and they told us we have to book adult meal for all attending including children which was really unfair. We decided not to go because of that.

We visited Toro’s steakhouse in Leicester close to closing time, there was nobody to greet us at the door which makes you wonder around as to where to sit, so you have to go to the counter to get a seat, I find it awkward when nobody greets you at the door to make you feel comfortable, the service after that point was very good. I ordered the T bone Steak with rice and coleslaw, the steak was good along with the rice, coleslaw smelt off. Would of got a 4 star if I was greeted at the door and if the coleslaw wasn’t off. I would go again as the atmosphere is nice.

we ordered toros steak and chicken and chips and water and pepsi and chips which was alright they could provide with high quality food like nandos and pizza hut but I love the toros sauce which I am going to drinking the entire bottle and then there was this staff and her name was aneeka khan but she gave me free food because she had no choice as I am the king and she is a cheap skate but I called her poundland because she was wearing £1 clothes and she love the word toast and she always a mini black bag even when she is serving the food which is not legal in the uk

It's such a shame that this place does not know what customer service is at all. the staff are completely rude and disrespectful. the boy on the counter has got no respect for adults, and really is off putting. the food although is good not worth spending my money there. When sitted he asked us to get up very rudely, also stated to an elderly women that she does not know how to bring up her children.When asking about waiting times was referred to as a liar. Some service. Wont be going back there anytime soon.

The steak sizzler is really nice when cooked properly (I've only had one occasion where it was overcooked). It's been pretty busy the last visits I've made so the wait for the food can be a bit longer than average.

We had to wait around 30-40 minutes for a table and it is very small inside, extension needed. Food was served in 30-40 mins but it was delicious, great mash and great steak. Service was alright but could be better, definitely.

In a nutshell the food is good but don't expect decent service. Main floor is okay to eat in unless ur sitting close to the door in which case the draft doesn't always make for a pleasant meal. Tables are quite close by and u sometimes can't help but feel you know everything about a random strangers life and problems such is the close proximity of the tables enabling you to overhear a majority of their conversation and likewise them hearing yours.

I've visited this restaurant a few times with my friends and the food is delicious. I normally have the rump steak with pepper sauce and it's genuinely the best steak I've ever tasted. The service has also been good every time we've been, so we can't really complain. In fact, we're already planning to go back!

A group of us went for dinner with some special guests from the USA and London, I had called earlier and had a table ready when we got there, the service good, a few sauces got forgotten about but other than that we were well looked after and the steak was cooked to perfection - medium - pink no blood exactly how i wanted it! thank you Toros team!

Left before the food came. Waited 50 mins for food, each time how long for the food, I kept being told "few minutes".After one last straw, we walked out and went to Lahore Tawa opposite where the service was faultless, and the food was spot on and value for money. Toro's service has definitely gone down hill since the old manager (Arshad - I think) left and went to Kobe Sizzlers. I certainly won't be visiting Toro's again.

We were ignored when we walked in. Waiter looked at us and walked past! When he finally came to us, no smile, no greeting, just asked how many of us there was. We were led to our table in the basement which was absolutely baking hot with no ventilation whatsoever! The food took ages to come out. Drinks were luke warm we had to ask for ice. It was the second time I'd been and will be the very last!!!! I can't be made to feel as if I'm there to beg for food when I'm a paying customer! Do not waste your money in this place!!!!!

Upon entering this place, the waiter was very rude and didn't offer a table even though there were 4 available just "incase bigger bookings come along". However the food was sizzling hot and tasted just how expected which was lovely. We were quite disappointed to find that they don't take card payments and had to find a cash point nearby somewhere. Although tax evasion is a complexity which businesses may address, its very inconvenient for customers who don't carry cash around and are forced to use obscure cash points in the local area. Additionally, parking is limited.

They don't take bookings no more ..and when you go down it takes an hour to to get to your table then almost under hour for your orders..the steak seems to be chewy and getting more chewy nowadays not liking as much as it use to be way back..rather go to pavilions more now

Ordered a take away for collection, we had a longer wait than expected but that's fine we don't mind waiting if it's good food. When out order was ready the waiter brought our food and dumped it in front of us without and indication where he or was our food. No eye contact, no smile and no "thank you enjoy your meal". He made us feel really unwelcome. When we got home I opened my side order of steamed veg only to find a spoonful of undercooked birds eye frozen veg. I've never been to a restaurant and been served frozen veg. I was stunned! To be fair the taste and flavours of the chicken wings and prawns was nice but the side dishes of rice and chips were terrible and the veg got thrown straight in the bin. When you spending £25 on a take away I at least expect a bit of common courtesy. Would never go back on principle.

Horrendous service, was one hour late, staff ignored us. When paying the bill, he asked me how was it, I mentioned how i felt, and he proceeded to ARGUE with me, saying how they don't take bookings. Though they did take our booking and still were over an hour late. Food was over an hour later. Very standard food.

We received a very warm and welcoming reception at the restaurant. The manager offered us free chicken wings and a sizzling dessert on hearing that it was our first occasion. We were not disappointed with the food or the service. Portions were big! The service was friendly, attentive and quick. An excellent option to eat at in the London Road area.

What really annoys me is when restaurants place a surcharge on items for absolutely no logical reason. The steaks are first of all overpriced for Leicester standards and secondly for any decent side there's an extra charge of £1.50. I asked for coleslaw and it was £1.50'extra because , the waiter explains , "the portion size is big" I requested an average size and was told this is not possible. The same rule applies to their vegetables and sweet potato fries. Anyway my friend asks for tap water and guess what? "We don't do tap water". We don't do tap water?! Seriously. They do tap water in upmarket restaurants in London yet asking for tap water here is like asking for gold dust. Not happy with the service. Food takes far too long and steak is charred through by the time you've finished .

Bruv, I dunno why my housemates insisted on going here for steak.Went here with the mandem for a munch after January exams innit. Firstly, man didnt invest in an extractor fan ye cuz the whole place looked like Snoop Dogg's living room with all the sizzling smoke ting.Next I asked for a rare steak, I expected the meat to still be mooing, but man gave me a piece of overcooked cardboard ye. definitely a no for me. But the ting that put me off completely was man didn't want us lot to pay separately ye. Wot bruv, you couldn't spare 10 extra seconds calculating our order? I absolutely love the toros in Leicester, the food is always delicious and well cooked. I always order chickens steak and chicken wings for a starter. I love the sizzler as the portions are big and it keeps the food warm. The only downfall I see at toros is not offering free water which should be offered if people have purchased fizzy drinks as due to the spice of food one can of drink is never enough for me. Toro in Birmingham Manchester and Coventry does not even match up

Visited this restaurant on a busy friday evening.We were seated downstairs, feeling a sense of pride after carefully manoveuring past the loose second step, yikes!Eventually once we had made our way down this steep dodgy staircase, we immediately felt our lungs clog up with the smoke from a neighbouring table whose steaks had smoked the place out.We ordered nachos as a starter, we were given a plate of what tasted like warmed up value crisps with an equally bland out of jar salsa dolloped in the middle. No guacamole in sight. We both ordered t bone steaks as our mains. Our mains arrived in sizzling hot plates, we had to wait a few mins to tuck in because they literally were piping hot. The steaks after the initial smoke clears away were well seasoned and the peppersauce complimented the steak well. The uncomfortable part was the ridiculous amount of fat between the meat which really ruined the experience for us.Our sides paricularly the rice and pasta tasted of nothing, the chunky chips however were fine.When it came to pay we were told that is was a cash only payment so be prepared before you visit.

Visited this awesome place again for our wedding anniversary and as always the toros special steak was out of this world!But the best thing about this place is the service by the manager Rafiq Yusuf. He is a true asset to the business! He always greets everyone with a smile and really ensures you have a fantastic dining experience. He really deserves a recognition and a tap on the back for making the place run so smoothly even though it is extremely busy. Still the best steak house in Leicester with the best service by Rafiq Yusuf.

My friend and I went to eat here on Wednesday as we had not eaten at this place before. The place was dark for my liking and the seating and tables looked very tired as did the staff! Not a good start. Anyway we ordered starter's and main to our waitress and also two cokes. The cokes arrived efficiently but no glasses. I asked a chap who looked like the manager for two glasses. We were given two straws. I looked at the waitress and asked again for the glasses, this time they arrived. The chap whom I believed to be the manager just sat there and fiddled about with his mobile and occasionally acknowledged a nod to people around him. Whilst waiting for our starters I noticed the sauces on the tables were all dribbling down the bottles like wax from candles. I wondered why they didn't clean them and present them in a clean manner as so many people touch these bottles.The starter arrived as did all of our main dishes all together. I asked our server why. She replied that it would take a long time to cook and we would be waiting for the starter and the main would be ready. Huh! Yeah I shrugged my shoulder and accepted and started to eat as I was famished. The food tasted okay I have had better, the chips were smothered with piri piri sauce and it was hot! We ordered king prawns but they were just prawns and also smothered with the same stuff. We had rice which we didn't touch. And no I didn't touch those sauce bottles that weren't clean. Prices were very expensive for the the lack of service and quality of food. Need to get experienced waiting staff.

We were in the mood for some good quality steak so decided to drive into Leicester and went to Torros. The restaurant was quite busy, being a Saturday night, so we were seated upstairs, which was quite at first, but then also then started to fill up quite quickly. There is only one thing your really have here, steak, steak and steak. I went for the Filet Mignon, one of the more finer and rarer cuts, with a price to match. You then have the option of selecting two sides from a range including pasta, rice, mash, and chips. I went for rice and chips - the thick hand cut variety. The steak was served within a reasonable amount of time, and cooked pretty much how I had asked, although not to perfection I would say. It was a good sized piece, easy to cut through and tasted delicious. Not much else to say really. Even though we had already skipped the starters, we were more than full afterwards. Overall, this remains the Number two halal steak place in Leicester - you get exactly what you go for - a good piece of steak.

I wanted someone to serve me so went to the counter the girl who served me told me I had to go to the machine kiosk which I did order and paid went back to the service waited for my order while I was waiting other customers came who she served face to face .When my order came through I told her why could she not serve me face to face I WAS DISGUSTED WITH THE SERVICE FROM HER WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS BRANCH !!!!!!!!

Overpriced, Overcooked and over staffed as well. spent ages to make the order be understood correctly. chicken was cooked in overheated oil fryer which gives it a distinct smell. People who know Henny Penny will know this bit. I walked in so this time chips were not stone cold. Staff is ok, no value added to service. The atmosphere is kind of indifferent. didn’t feel inviting or pleased to be there.
