Ordered 2 Lamb Burger Meals on Uber and got sent just 2 Burgers, the size of my pinky. It wouldn’t even fill up a child. Absolute rip off and poor customer service

Right, so if I could give them a zero star, I would give them a zero star I was staying at the Marriott hotel Karim delivered our food low and behold the food smell like raw chicken🤣 contacted Deliveroo about our health and safety standards. Do you know what these people said? Oh I’m so sorry for the inconvenience. I said , people could die we’re having diarrhoe ( a bit dramatic but it’s true) We are vomiting. (Restaurant ) I tried to call the restaurant. They didn’t pick up. I just want my money back for the raw chicken. They’ve given me that raw chicken smells like raw chicken. I don’t know this area first time here, but this place gave us food poisoning. We couldn’t even eat the whole day.

I recently visited Maryland Chicken on Narborough Road and had a mixed experience. The chicken was tasty, but it was excessively oily, which took away from the overall enjoyment. The fries were decent and complemented the meal well, but the coleslaw was quite disappointing, lacking in flavor and freshness. For the price, it's an okay option if you're in a pinch, but considering the quality, there are definitely better choices available in the area. With a few improvements, especially in reducing the oiliness of the chicken and enhancing the coleslaw, this place could be much better.

I remember coming here regularly when I was a student back in 2011-14 at DMU. Best fried chicken in town. Don’t listen to pigeon rumours. Best part was when I was a broke student and came at closing time, they gave a few pieces for free. I came back again in 2022 and 2023 and fried chicken taste the same.

lovely food, horrible staff. the gentleman that i ordered from didnt let me finish my order before i paid. he made me feel very uncomfortable while ordering and i felt pressured. im autistic and its difficult for me to form sentences fast, so this pressure wasnt right. the staff need a reality check!!

They rushed us getting our meal as well as giving us the 8 piece instead of the hot wings whilst been told twice and the food was cold and very greasy

If this shop doesn't change their ways it's better they should close down, served me disgusting undercooked chicken that is visibly pink. My fries were burnt to a crisp tried to call them and they didn't have the decency to answer the phone. AVOID at all costs

The food here used to be good but won't be going back after today. The bottom of the box of fries was soaking wet with oil, I've never had that before. When I tried the fries, they were so hot and saturated with oil that they nearly burnt my tongue. The strip burgers are now ridiculously small and there was barely any mayo in them. The chicken wings didn't taste fresh. The meal wasn't even good value costing £12.50! Disappointing... will not be returning

I had the 2 chicken burgers chips and a drink the chips was still frozen in the center the chicken berger were cold and did not get my drink right to witch was ment to have been manden orange and I got Pepsi max witch I can not drink as it has caffeine in it I won't be using this place again

Ordered 3 pizzas, large chips. Only large chips arrived. No pizzas, rang them up they said they'd have pizzas on the way. Still not received my pizzas. Have tried calling to see how long the wait will be as been waiting an hr now for a shop 15mins away. Nobody is picking up the phone. Definitely won't be ordering from here again.

The chicken was good. The seasoning has changed since the classic days of Marland Pigeon in its early 00's heyday... probably 3rd or 4th time this franchise has changed hands. Prices are wrong on some items and staff poor communication skills don't help resolve or answer the query of why the total of 2 items is different than it says it us n (put stickers up at least), and explain, not just disagree). There's no real atmosphere to speak of, but then it's carnivores with their heads in boxes what do you expect?,

Food tasty but I asked if is spicy and they said not, but it was. What wasn't spicy was just perfect.

I have been to Maryland narborough road before but this time on a saturday late night i ordered chicken wings chips and it tasted awful. It was smelling of old oil and it didnt taste right. Very disappointed. I hope that was a one off.

This place is always extremely dirty, please clean tables regularly in general food is fine for the price but presentation of the place is a key matter. I was feeling sick when saw pieces of chicken fries and spilled drinks everywhere. 4 stars is actually benefit of a doubt in hope for changes to the better.

Im easily pleased with food but the Food quality has majorly gone down. Burgers were dry and small. Wings were so small they must have been from a pigeon. Stingy with sauces and very small chicken pieces provided.

Terrible place. Food is cheap quality and horrible. General cleanliness is really bad. Last time I visited the tables where all filthy and rubbish everywhere. Avoid and go somewhere better or you'll be disappointed.

When I asked for bbq wings he rude said he had already made the food. Then i decided to instead order more wings. When I got home half the box was full of bbq, it was like a puddle of bbq. Also they didn’t give me the complete order I was missing a box of food. We spent £25 and it was not worth it

Called into the shop today about 3pm I orders strip feast family meal deal £15 came with chicken 4 chips n 1Bottle of drink 4 bone chicken 50p each another £2 .. then I asked for spicy chicken wings I was told it’s comes with 20 wings chips and 1Bottle of drink .. totally £31 Enough for 6 people I got home opened it up first thing I noticed No Bottles of pop but 3 cans of pop 🤦‍♀️ NO 4 boned chicken and 1 portion of chips No drink I called this shop immediately no answer I called again and again and again so in the end I left a voice message with my phone number and now it’s 8.45 pm and Nothing .. I’m fuming and feeling ripped off and taken advantage of my disability. Knowing cus he could see how I struggle to get out my car and with walking aides plus having struggle to stand at the desk to order food I asked if I could sit a while and to please make sure everything is there .. This man even repeat back my order to me .. But come on £31 pounds for long s of the order to be missing .. I’m gonna keep trying to phone in the hope they will pick up

I ate Maryland's hot wings 20 years ago, I haven't eaten anything like it since. It's the best spicy hot wings in the world.

Useless. Went a few months ago, ordered over £20 worth of food and chicken had gone off. We done love local so couldn't go back, tried calling numerous times - no answer. Thought I would give it another try today and just got back and one of the burgers is missing a chicken burger so basically a bun!! Again no answer!!

Maryland! The worst most dry chicken I have ever had... the burger was soo dry that I had to drink water after every bite for me to swallow it! The chicken had a weird smell and was super dry like I mentioned but the worst of all was the fries... Mate their fries not rocket science they were soo dry and were definitely not fresh. So if you like to waste your money then here's the right place! Never coming here again!

So disappointed, whilst on route to Wolverhampton, the family and I thought, let's have a burger meal. Loads of food outlets to choose from, and we chose Maryland Chicken. Cold hard and dry chicken wrapped in cold baps. I complained and they offered me chicken strip burgers, which were much better. A customer joked saying, " You don't come to Maryland for a Quality burger meal experience." First and the last time.

Only a 3 stars because you shut so early these days. Bring back the 4am chicken

It is by far the best chicken I have had in Leicester. It is so well made and it got me licking my fingers. Be sure to visit Maryland Chicken when next you are in Leicester around Narborough Road you will love it trust me.

I agree, bossman must have a incredibly huge knob. Everytime i walk in, i always get big knob energy which is naturally what your looking for when you want to purchase chicken. I also had a sexy date with me. She loves nothing but huge knob after her chicken! And huge knob was exactly what she got afterwards. Thank you bossman. You supply good chicken and you probably supply even better knob.

The claim made that Maryland serves Pigeon meat absurd.... Those of you who has knowledge about chicken and pigeon.. Knows that chickens meat and Pigeons is not the similar.. Pigeon meat take an example of leg.. Pigeon leg is so tiny and that is NOT what you are being serve there. Please do speak the truth. If you don't like Maryland simply do not go, but stop make false claims.

Visited here Monday, guys behind counter not wearing masks and I'm confident I heard coughing but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Started to feel a bit off from Monday night as did kids. 3 days later and that off feeling is still hanging around. I should have trusted my instincts and walked out of here.

Ordered take away from them first the chicken pieces were all raw from inside blood come out Then order a margherita pizza they sent chicken and pepperoni pizza I wish I could load up pictures of the chicken blood coming out from it very bid put off never again ordering from them again when rang they were not interested at well idiots

Cold, not sure about the clenliness

every time I eat this my stomach always feels odd and I needs to go toilet but I usually just last for around half hour but last night I had a wrap ( I usually have a strip burger ) at around 6 pm it’s now 1 pm the next day and my stomach is still hurting so extremely bad I have went toilet around 4 times since, will not be ordering again

I'm passing through Leicester and thought I'd give this a try. Years ago, friends and relatives around Leicester, Derby etc. told me that when they want fried chicken, it had to be Maryland Chicken in Leicester. I'm a very reasonable person and very impartial with my reviews but it looks like I must have come here on their "bad day" because this was the worst meal I have eaten in years and it genuinely is not an exaggeration. The chicken coating on all of the meals were dark brown, overcooked and very old. The coating was all soft and rubbery. The chicken inside was chewy. Not the juicy chicken with the dry and crispy coating like its supposed to be. Devestated with this meal. So so dissapointing.
