it's all about the gazibo chicken, I came here after many years gazibo sauce hasn't changed but the quality of chicken has even though the quality is sliding the gazibo sauce is beautiful.

The gazebo chicken wasn't as nice for me as expected, because I found it too runny rather than it being a thick sauce. Some of the chicken was also overcooked in areas.

What a disappointing experience. Customer service was poor, and food was a 2/10. The only decent thing was the chips definitely wouldn't be returning

I ordered crescent grill and the portion sizes for a £20 prawns meal was extremely small and and the prawns tastes reheated and the flavours did not meet the reviews I had read. On top of that the beef steak meal was extremely flimsy and did not taste good. In total for a £35 spent two boxes worth of food was atrocious. I’d avoid going here at all costs and pick somewhere else down the road

I remember coming here a lot in the old days with my friends. After so long we were feeling their food so decided to make a visit. As always, we went for chicken fillets and prawns with Gazebo sauce. The flavour is still the same, and everything is as delicious as it has always been. The only thing about this place I will say is that the price you pay portions are very small. The chicken fillets are the thinnest slice you will ever see... other than that the food is lovely.

The moment I took a bite of the Pepper Fish, I knew I was in for a treat. It was hands down the best fish dish I've had in years. I highly recommend it to all seafood lovers out there! While the Chicken Fillet is their specialty and rightfully so, as it was delicious, I also had the chance to try the Steak, which didn't quite match my personal taste preferences. However, that's just a matter of personal preference as it was still a decent dish. The Gazebo Chicken, on the other hand, was another standout item on the menu that left me craving for more. Our server, Adam, truly went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was top-notch. He was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Although the steak wasn't my favorite, the overall experience, combined with the mouthwatering dishes and excellent service, makes me eager to return to Crescent Grill House. I can't wait to explore more of their menu and indulge in their delectable offerings again soon. Kudos to the team for a memorable dining experience!

sorry to say atmosphere was dull. food took to long and when the food arrived it wasn't worth the wait. the price aswel didn't do justice. chips were a stingy portion and it was like they were cooked again not fresh and the fish was so small and tiny.

Good quality food the chilli sauces are HOT! Caution

Travelled from out of town and was recommended this restaurant. The portions were ridiculously small and pricey for what was served. The ‘steak’ was carpet thin with zero flavour and unfortunately so was the chicken. The prawns were clearly reheated and drowned in a sauce. The gazebo chicken was really disappointing too.

Went there in the evening as it wasn't busy at all. Placed a big order consisting of 12 people. Chips portion is extremely poor, the fillet burger is tiny. They slice the fillets so thin it looks like paper and they got our order wrong! Won't be going back in a hurry!

Travelled from London and decided to have dinner at the Crescent Grill House. Customer service absolutely appalling. Upon entering the restaurant, no greeting. We were expected to find a table, take our own menu’s from the front desk and sit down. No table service at all, no one bothered to tell us to come up front to order. They don’t take card payment which is a hassle. Dirty toilets. No light, no soap, hand dryer out of use and no tissue to dry hands. Finally ordered and food came so fast but it felt as if it had been microwaved - not piping hot. No one gave us the basics such as cutlery, napkins and glasses. We had to keep getting up to ask someone and most times there wasn’t anyone available to help which meant waiting around. Sucks when you’re travelling from far with hungry kids! Oh and don’t even get me started on the little guy at the front desk - he’s a joke! Too busy on the phone with his mates. He even offered the Uberdriver a tip to drop food off to his mates houses. Waste of money. Would have been better off just eating at home.

I explained it was a little far to go back and before I could finish the immature staff (also the son of the business owner) said “there’s nothing I can do then” before putting the phone down. I rang back because I was appalled at the service and I explained to the father (this time) about the sons service only for him to give the phone to his son for him to continue with his rudeness. Unable to get a single word in, his words before terminating the call: “you’re getting emotional over chicken” - I think this was actually him as I couldn’t even get a word in “never known anyone to complain over bigger pieces of chicken” - it was a shawarma “if we gave everyone free food when they complained we wouldn’t be running” - well that speaks for itself and i was giving feedback not looking for free food “don’t call again” - I have no plans to

The food was fresh and delicious

Food was tasty but the portions were shockingly small for the price we paid. I have been to more upmarket restaurants who have provided a much larger portion for the price. The steaks were paper thin in all of our meals (this included burgers, steaks etc). Especially when you're paying around £20 for the meal (in photo), this is not really acceptable. However, there are no complaints about the food; it was tasty and perfectly done.

Very busy on a Saturday night, but food was amazing as always. Well worth the trip across from Birmingham. It's all about the Peri Peri Chicken with chips

Crescent grill house is a place of legend. I ordered a chicken fillet batch meal or maybe it was peri peri who knows who cares. The food came immediately and it was lovely. The chicken was fresh and marinated and had a nice kick. The batch/cob ^^ was either from a local bakery or a packet. Regardless it was nice and fresh and suited the chicken perfectly. The chips where really nice and fluffy. I really enjoyed the food. Oh and they have toilets on site.

One of my favourite restaurants to go to in Leicester! Piri Piri chicken has to be my favourite!! The sauce is the perfect combination with the chicken!! Ordered one chicken and had 2 packed as take aways!! Amazing!!

We had come such a long way and decided upon recommendation to visit this place. Went with guests that had come from abroad and we had kids with us. When we got there nobody would say much and we were told we couldn't sit on a table because it was already booked,so we asked for a table that was more to the inside than opposed to the window because it was cold and the place didn't seem to have proper heating. The hight chair was filthy absolutely discugesting so o cleaned it up and out my little one and we waited but nobody would bring the menu or tell us we had to order at the counter, nobody even brought us a menu. We left immediately with the absolute disgusted and unfriendly service!

Absalutley appauling i went there today with my family to eat food which was so rancid I felt sick all evening. Stail, expensinve and chucked together with this red sauce. Stay away waste of money! Chicken was just boiled and dipped in ketchup! UNBELIEVABLE

Gazebo baby chicken is still amazing as ever, been going here for over a decade. Prices have gone up steadily over the years, which making it a little expensive. Prices listed are not for meals, the chips have to be bought seperatly. Chips are really nice though.

@crescentgrillhouse has been around for 25 years with 2 previous owners and now the current owners have been running the Restaurant for 15 years! Back in the day it was my main joint just to have a small bite to eat or a big meal sometimes too. Many changes since the begining but with the current owners, they have expanded the Restaurant and refurbished it making it look more current than it looked many years ago with nice decor and features like the chandelier. It's been a long time since I've had my meal there and a review was definitely over due for sure. I ordered what I have been having for a long time. Grilled Chicken Fillet with in house made Prawn Sauce on top, Cheesy Chips, Runny Egg with Salad and I also had A Breast piece of Gazebo Chicken. Their Recipe has not changed one bit from what I remember. The Chicken Fillet has been spot on everytime and with the Prawn Sauce on top it was delicious! The Runny egg was exactly how I like it with the yolk dripping out as soon as its poked and finally the Gazebo Chicken, nice and Crispy Skin and with the Gazebo Sauce it kept the Chicken from getting dry. Nice food, quick and friendly staff. Stand out dish is definitely the king prawns, they absolutely delicious. Parking is an issue as it is anywhere in the Highfields area.

Terrible, toilet smell, toilet door open all the time. No complaints addressed. Price of food overcharged. Please check change. Will not be going any more. Not a good restaurant floors sticky. Terrible service, food coming out in drips and drabs.

Very good family orientated restaurant. There was no loud music no alcohol and a 100% halal food. The food reminded me of Africa especially the chips and the peri peri chicken. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Leicester. Parking is a bit tricky but you may find some on the side roads.

What a disappointment. From service (or lack of it) to food to the feedback requested at the end, what a wasted evening. Everything covered, and I mean absolutely pasted with this grotesque red sauce. Eight prawns, chips and a bit of lettuce made out to be salad....£16!! Brexit prices before brexit happens! No originality, no theme, nobody asking if ure ok. I couldnt wait to leave once our food arrived and was tasted. When feedback was requested I duely obliged and it was as though they weren’t bothered at all. Far too much mediocre food at not very good value. I could rate this less than one star, I would if I could. I have worked in the service industry, someone should have taken note of what I said, and seeing as I thought they were not interested I thought I have to warn my fellow foodies that it’s definitely worth a miss....never again!

Was disappointed. Whilst the portions were good, sadly the food was overpowered by the black pepper. That is all I could taste. It's a good little cafe style place and the gazebo chicken is popular. The steaks are wafer thin - more like slices rather than a proper steak. Service was ok and price is nothing special. Worth a try but stick to the chicken

Got the makings of a nice place but lacks character. Their menu used to be bang on. Had their chicken cheesy sub. The flavour was nice but they was a bit stingy with the filling and at times it felt like I was just eating plain bread. Also the chicken fillets were wafer thin. At almost 10 quid a meal u are paying a lot for not so much value for money. They need to make that cheesy chicken filling like the previous owners it used to be oozing out of the bread... On the plus side the chips were bang on and the drinks were ice cold so that was good. Also the place is clean toilets are acceptable. Overall 6 out of 10

Honest Review of Crescent Grill The service was poor to start with. The guy at the counter found it more important to talk to his friends than serve the customer. Food itself was very poor. Their special fried chicken litrally tastes like old chicken curry & rice thrown into a pan & stirred. The king prawn specials were oozing oil infact every dish seems to have oozing oil ? Naan breads were more like tree bark. There were other things i tried but did not enjoy the food at all. I was not satisfied. Won't be going back. My bowl of cookie crisp cereal did the job in the end.
