They have the best iced matcha and cakes. Amazing food choice , good service amzing and beautiful enviroment .

This flat white is not worth £4. The foam is too thick and the coffee is bitter. Furthermore, the barista used the tamper to clean the tamping mat and combined milk from three jugs to make me a coffee. The barista had a long face until she talked to her phone. I have this “flat white” on 12th April 2024 at 15:05.

The cafe furniture is in desperate need of being renewed. It looks ancient. Everything is old, tired, scratched, wobbly and in poor condition. The tables were dirty and sticky.

Excellent espresso, pastries, vegetarian options , location... This coffee shop is indeed a great place to kill your time, do business, and to study as well. The coffees and hot chocolates they had were so delicious and me being picky vegetarian I left satisfied 😊 Employees were so welcoming and friendly. The place made my day!😁

Visited this cosy Cafe on weekend while shopping and very pleased with friendly, smiley and quick service. Very busy place and managed well, sitting area tidied very often, not mentioning delicious sandwiches and cakes. A must STOP while shopping in PJ! Truly recommend! 🙂

The view from the windows of this cafe is stunning but it is so badly managed. I hadn’t been there for ages and couldn’t believe how squalid it was. My mother and I were greeted by table after table covered in dirty dishes. She was tired and did not have the energy to go elsewhere so we stayed. There wasn’t a great choice of food but the tuna mayo rolls had a decent amount of filling. I was amazed that instead of clearing the tables, the two young men whose job it was to do this, stood chatting for over 30 mins whilst the dishes continued to pile up. Surely clear the tables first and then chat? Having just returned from Berlin where all the cafes I visited were spotless and beautifully run, it was a most depressing experience.

Service was poor. I was served something that I had not asked for. When I received the correct tea, it was poor quality.

I don’t really get how such a rancid, messy, mediocre place can exist within such an established location. Grabbed a quick meal, surrounded by dirty mugs, dirty napkins and sticky tables. I guess the location saves it… ( BTW the one in my picture is not my table…)

According to web cafe closes at 6pm. 4.42pm we would not be served a goat cheese tart because they already emptied their display fridge. For a cafe and it’s prestigious location , it is terribly appalling.

Oltre alla bontà di toast e scones con marmellata e crema che hanno mangiato, volevano segnalare in particolare la gentilezza, competenza e professionalità di Silvano Mallardo. Complimenti: è un piacere trovare persone che svolgono così il proprio lavoro!

The African lady serving the hot food needs to learn some manners It’s not the first time I’ve encountered her abrupt and plainly insulting behaviour I arrived at 3pm there was NO hot food whatsoever except soup , not even sandwiches Why ? It’s only 3pm I went for the soup which was actually subpar. They all seem to taste the same despite them being different flavours. John Lewis is currently offering account holders 10% off at the place to eat if they scan their John Lewis card She couldn’t fathom this She was unaware of the deal and how to apply it to the Till and tried several times to get me to pay the full price so she wouldn’t have to deal with. It, which is absolutely ridiculous because you would think with this kind of promotion, the staff would be trained. She started cursing In her own language faffing around and being coming very rude She also made me wait a good 5 minutes waiting on the till before she even acknowledged me and I was the only one there The rest of the staff were ambivalent and looked like they didn’t want to be there . As other member on here has said John Lewis need to really look at their staff here.

I have visited this cafe twice now to meet up with friends. Unfortunately the standard of service has not improved. The service is slow and surly almost bordering on rude. There was one younger man who was pleasant but the staff serving the salad and hot food were blunt and unfriendly. It’s a shame as this place has ok food and lovely views.

To balance the random moans, this cafe is exactly as expected. Clean and efficiently managed. Slice of cake and a latte for £6.95. Not expensive at all for the area.

Restaurant is looking quite dated and tired My mum described it as looking like a canteen in an old people’s home Tables chairs and cutlery need replacing and service is extremely slow Saying that the soups are always lovely , Chips are great Sandwiches are pricey but taste great and are filling Salads are way too expensive for what they are and they sit there wilting all day Food is not cheap Cakes are lovely but again pricey at around the £4 mark Tea is nice you can get 3 cups out of a teapot for one People keep goin on about the view , it’s nothing special just can see the tops of residential buildings and the Hilton in the distance Get John Lewis app you often get free or discounted tea and cake

Valerika and the team at Peter Jones' Benugo are always friendly and make me and my colleagues feel welcome. Very accommodating and good coffee. Also, the carrot cake they bake themselves is absolutely mouth watering. Best carrot cake I have ever had.

Received the most dreadful customer service yesterday. The Manager was just as bad as the staff member who obviously does not want to work there.The Manager refused to give her name or head office details which I have subsequently have found. Peter Jones should not accommodate this franchise in their store.

The coffee and food are always good at Benugo. This particular branch felt a little chaotic and not as clean and tidy as other branches I've been to. Water jugs and glasses were marked from dishwasher; Something I always find off-putting I'm afraid. But the service was polite and courteous. Just a little rushed with several members of staff fighting for counter space. But it's a nice space with comfy seating.

Food was tasty only good part of the experience. Manager was incredibly rude, and half the staff was super unhelpful and unhappy. Would never recommend stopping by.

Short queue but took a long time to get served. Minimal food choice - staff seemed disengaged - too noisy to even hear piped music. Tables were not being sanitised prior to next customer using and piles of used crockery were left to pile up on my table, which I had to search out someone to clear due to it being ignored - avoid. This is a real shame as it used to be a great Bistro a few years ago - progress.

Extremely rude manager Went today for a coffee and a cake and I was the only person in the queue , many empty tables so when she saw me put my coat and shopping on a chair so I can get a coffee and cake ; she came to me telling me she’ll have to check if I could sit down I was shocked ! She then went to explain that sometimes there’s a queue and they don’t let people hold a table before ordering but there was no one and many free tables ! I am confident she targeted me because of my ethnicity! She didn’t bother anyone else just me !! When I told her there was no one waiting in the queue and many spaces she said you can SIT FOR NOW 😱 Herself she held a table as she seems to be working on a laptop I have never experienced anything like this in my adult life ! I was polite and had just shopped in Peter jones for Christmas and wanted a coffee and cake so I can also rest my feet ! I will never ever step there again ! I am looking forward to hearing an explanation to this ; you can also check your security cameras as it happens just now as I am typing this comment

I visited Sloane Sq. to shop today and wandered around-the Street food market for food but decided to try Peter Jones Cafe on the 3rd Floor (which used to be a lovely Bistro a few yrs back) by Ladies Fashion - big mistake - small queue took forever to be served and there was minimal food choice. Staff seened disengaged. I went for Italian filled bread with a glass of wine which came to over £15.00. Rubbish and crockery was left from previous few customers which I pushed into a corner - I felt uncomfortable eating near it but no other table available. I waited for table to be sanitized and waste cleared - nothing. I kept waving at person very slowly clearing other tables but was ignored each time. Eventually I got up leaving belongings at table and had to ask her to clear my table. This should not happen, other customers were clearing and sanitising their own tables. Do not go as there must be better places to eat. I will not use again as life is too short. Befire I left a proper table cleared appeared dressed in a Peter Jones uniform and she seemed to be doing a good job but too late for my visit I'm afraid. The noise level was also extremely high and left me with a headache, could not hear piped music being played. Avoid, awful.

Visited here in September to have tea and cake Nice views from this cafe…..but that’s the best part Not very tidy, overall, disappointing I then had a very bad experience finding something inside my cake and it wasn’t supposed to be there !! This was a real issue to me, a matter of food hygiene and food production line and the trust that we as customers put into the name of the John Lewis Partnership… Informed management, purchase refunded, pending investigation but guess what……. Yes you’ve got it I have heard nothing Will I be returning ??

Located on the second floor- it looks like a usual department store cafe. Price signage not accurate/ says 4.50 for items on the display counter only to charge £7.15 then the lady at the till could not refund money so was forced buy a more expensive item. The Italian panini was toasted but could be so much better for the overpriced. Staff unfriendly.

I went into Peter Jones today for a coffee and a cheese scone. No butter or spread available as there is a problem with suppliers.??? How can a department store of this size not manage to sort this out. What a disappointment. Instead I had a slice of a nut thing which was very soft.

For a Grand department store, it's a bit out of date but as long as the tea is drinkable & the scones not from Wrigley's it's worth going to. The view is great.

La cafeteria se encuentra en el último piso, y tiene una cristalera impresionante, con unas vistas muy distintas de Londres, que a mi me encantaron.El café no era nada del otro mundo. Tienes que hacer una larga cola para coger una bandeja y traértelo tu mismo a la mesa.Pero a mi me gustó que habían unos catálogos de viajes, de una empresa de alto nivel, para coger y ojear dónde te gustaría ir en tu próximo destino de vacaciones.Pasé un buen rato, descansando, disfrutando de las vistas y mirando el catálogo.Como he dicho antes... el café, era lo de menos

Very disappointing cake served yesterday. Lemon drizzle was stale. When I complained I was allowed to choose alternative but almond cake, although fresher, was tasteless.

I visit here quite often. For the views and space. The serving staff are mostly incredibly slow and unaware of the long queues building and patron's food becoming cold. Their preparation is such that they invariably run out of most items - often, taking ages to replenish. Unlike most people in the queue, I did complain the last 3 times to the staff serving and they are non-plussed. One person left their food and walked off. Sad really as this could be an amazing experience and once the local, loyal Chelsea crowd catch on that the prices don't reflect the less attentive service, they will follow my lead and stick to the coffee and the views and not bother with the meals.

This cafeteria-style restaurant on the sixth floor of the Peter Jones department store in Chelsea is a wonderful oasis of calm in the hustle and bustle that is London. Here, you can get a nice meal at reasonable prices, with a wonderful panoramic view of Southwest London.

Durante nuestra visita, tuve que alimentar y cambiar a mi hijo y me preparé para la habitación pequeña y caliente habitual con un vago olor a pañales viejos y sucios. ¡No es así en Peter Jones! ! Mi esposo y yo estábamos de compras y decidimos comer algo. Escogió el bocadillo de puerco desmenuzado, que dijo que era bueno. Elegí un trozo de quiche, que habría sido mejor caliente. Disfrutado del paisaje y observar a la gente. Solo volvería a tomar un poco de té.

I had vegetable curry that was a mistake

We went to Peter Jones for coffee and cake in the afternoon. We were served quickly and got a good table by the window with the great views over London.

Habiendo bajado nuestras piernas y en Kings Road, llamamos a Peter Lewis. Nos dimos cuenta del restaurante de la planta superior y pensamos en probarlo. Encantador saludo en la parte superior de las escaleras, selección de pasteles y quiches y una sección caliente. More like rock cakes! Totally awful, far from John Lewis standard I’d hope (Bluewater scones are better). You could barely cut into them and they fell apart - Mary Berry would be terrified. M&S; would be a step up.

Buffet salads and hot soup, I thought the quiche could have been served warm, apart from that great value for money

The restaurant is basically a cafeteria and nothing too fancy on offer. Nice view but we preferred the coffee shop on a lower floor.

Prosecco is warm and the food is awful but the view is top drawer. Grab a window seat and just have a coffee. Eat somewhere else.

Primera visita aquí y fue realmente decepcionante. Nos dijeron que había un problema con la máquina de café y para devolver los cafés si no estaban bien (?!). Ellos no estaban Solo sabían a leche tibia, así que los devolvimos, solo para que fueran reemplazados por tazas de leche demasiado frías. Regresamos de nuevo y nos dieron dos cafés muy débiles, otra vez, simplemente no había ningún sabor de café. Tuve un pedazo de pastel de chocolate que era 3. 99 una rebanada y de nuevo simplemente no fue muy agradable. Casi ningún sabor.

The view to the North across the rooftops is the main reason to come up here. It is a popular venue to meet and chat. We had coffee and cake which was ok rather than great.

I stopped here for lunch and was slightly disappointed as I was expecting a better quality of seating and facilities as I am sure it used to be better when I visited a number of years ago.

I used to love this place. Food was good, expensive yes but wide choice including quality choice for non meat eaters.Fresher food, proper circular cakes which looked homemade. Now..cheapo, average quality tray bakes, smaller prepacked sandwich choice, fewer salads, corners have definitely been cut. Veggie is invariably a curry for example...so tough if you don't want one. They've even replaced the lovely black granite and glass tables with awful off white caff/modern kitchen style table tops. What happened? Did they sell off the previous ones to make some money? Strange decision cos they were not broken..

Bonitas vistas pero no de categoría. Los precios están bien.! ! ! ! Como otras personas han descrito sí. . Un precio. Personal cantina excepto sus clientes comiendo allí, no personal. Yo me esperaba la comida recién preparada pero trajeron comidas pre climatizada preparada. . Puedo conseguir en sainsburys a mitad de precio pero supongo que estoy pagando por la vista. . What can I say the place is spotless and staff are polite and helpful but the cakes on offer are far from nice or value for money plus getting smaller

Ayer fuimos a almorzar con un amigo. Tuvimos que hacer cola en el mostrador de comida caliente sólo para encontrar todos los servidores desaparecen cuando apareció! La selección de la comida era pobre y estaba muy fría cuando regresamos a la mesa. La mujer que me atendió se olvidó de darme mi cambio y cuando volví para que no recibo. La barra dulce era bastante mejor como situado cerca de donde estábamos sentados y el café imbebible, pero no es un lugar al que volveremos. El personal parecía menos interesados en servir a sus clientes.

Enjoyed this cafeteria & coffee shop atop the Peter Jones store, which features interesting decor and wonderful rooftop views of London. The staff were pleasant and friendly, and the food was quite flavorful and filling. Several different food choices available, both hot and cold. Nice items in the baked section, assortment of sandwiches at lunch. ATM available near the restrooms and lifts. This is a reasonably priced dining option in Sloane Square. Located across the square from the underground stop, inside the Peter Jones Department Store.

I'm old enough to remember the old Peter Jones top floor restaurants: one, a small but GREAT little self service cafe serving fresh salads, soups and sandwiches and a small selection of hot food; the other, with a waitress service and slightly more expensive. The vast, soulless canteen on the top floor - which has in fact been there for years, still has the same spectacular views, but is no different to eating in an airport terminal - albeit the food is probably better and fresher. But PJ lost its pull, and some of its charm and individuality when it scrapped its old restaurants and replaced them with cafes like all the rest. Maybe it had to, maybe that's the way of things now, but I know I'm not alone in hankering for something better, something different, and some of that yesteryear magic called personal service.

Two hot meals ordered, meals were served cold, dry and inedible, obviously the last of the current batch that had been sitting under the heat light. When I returned the food I was told there was a microwave behind me and I could use that to heat the food. I informed the gentleman that I should not have to heat food that should have been served hot!

There’s something fabulously old fashioned about this canteen-style restaurant above Peter Jones.

The food is the consistent JL fare, great coffee, tasty cakes, overpriced sandwiches. The atmosphere is a cut above the normal Place To Eat, maybe down to the layout around an atrium rather than the vast hanger like rooms at Welwyn or Bluewater. Superb views too. Definitely worth looking into if one finds oneself in Chelsea.

Lugar muy agradable con unas vistas estupendas. Excelente comida ligera después de ir de compras o una visita a la Galería Saatchi al otro lado de la carretera.

The lunch was really good, mainly the lasagna with the sides, cakes, saladas tea, coffee very taste. The place, the store, the visitors, are beautiful. It is pure british and it didn't lose its salient features.

Afternoon tea was really nice and we were able to take my mother here in a wheelchair. This made all the difference the food was really good and it has a nice view.

We came for tea and cake- cake was nice but nothing special, but the lemon tart was delicious. However, the staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

I love Peter Jones!! It is my favourite shop, so I know it well and also this cafe. The self-service food is OK (less good now that they have farmed the cooking to an outside source, not an in-house chef), the clearing and cleaning of tables is slow (so don't necessarily expect to get a clean table!), the food isn't particularly cheap (rather, it may be a bit expensive for what it is), but I go to this cafe because of its convenience (if you are at Peter Jones shopping anyway) and, of course, its fantastic view.

What can I say. This place is an institution. Superb views over West London, good quality food, nothing outstanding but always reliable like every John Lewis restaurant. Where else in Chelsea can you find a hot meal and a drink for less than £12.
