Gaucho Sloane in Kensington and Chelsea

We visited the restaurant for a special occasion. The service was ok, but we had to wait a long time for the desert and we could feel the pressure that was behind the kitchen and for the waiters which some of them seemed to be totally confused. In addition to this restaurant is super over priced for the value of the food and drinks they have on the menu, an example a simple glass of Susanna Malbec 2022 we paid £20.00 when at the supermarket you get a bottle for £25..00 and in the restaurant they sell the bottle at £80.00! The water £6.00, you go to a 5 start hotel in London and you you pay £4.50. I honestly think they should carefully review the prices on the menu as they completely don’t make sense and are unreasonable.

The food is lovely, but the waiters were far too busy and were basically running around the restaurant which didn’t make for a good atmosphere as it wasn’t relaxing. I asked for a beer which never turned up, which was a shame and they then included it on the bill which I had to have removed. Our waiter didn’t speak to us once after we ordered which felt poor for what is quite an expensive restaurant and I am not sure they really earned the 13% service charge

I, my guest was seated in the rear area of the restaurant, and it was freezing cold. We were not the only ones to complain about it, so when you book before you are seated, make sure you don’t sit in the back area. Otherwise, the restaurant is a delight.

The chairs need to be replaced, it’s so uncomfortable and feels really cheap. The arrival experience is dreadful with an over crowded entrance and unimpressed by the welcome. Food good (except the starter which was an attempt to a pizza?? from the valentines menu)

Meat was good and wine decent, but everything else very poor, such a shame to see how far standards have fallen at Gaucho. Won’t be returning.

Gaucho - Argentinian restaurant so beef is the go to. The steaks almost melt in your mouth! You must NOT order meat well done. It’s an insult to the animal you are eating. Much against my wishes my lady friend asked for well done. Lucky her order was screwed up and she received just shy of medium. The food is superb!! I will put my name to any restaurant that delivers food how I expect.

We had Diego as our waiter, he was very good. Helpful at every point and offered recommendations to help us make decisions. We had 3 different type of starters the salmon tacos weren’t that nice but the empanadas were lovely. The focaccia bread with the prawns in tomato and oil sauce was lovely too. We both enjoy the taste of the steak but weren’t too keen on our side the broccoli was a little too crunchy but softer broccoli might just be my preference. The mash potatoes were okay and the mac and cheese was not great. I’m usually a peppercorn sauce but I didn’t enjoy it there but the chimichuri was very nice. Finished off with cheesecake which was nice. The restaurant is lovely in terms of decor and ambience, this was my first time at this particular gaucho. They also cater for a halal diet, which is great.

The place to go for carnivores. Absolutely the most beautifully cooked steak in london!

It was a great meal for our last dinner in London. The food was seasoned just right so I didn't get tired of it while eating it. I stayed at the Chelsea Cloisters right next door during my trip, and I recommend checking it out if you're staying there. The price is a bit high by Korean standards, but I think it's worth it. Especially our server diego is very friendly. My friend fell in love with deigo's fantastic accent and kept saying fantastic~ throughout the trip. Thank you Diego and gaucho

GAUCHO’s you did it again! Woaw what a great meal. I loved the Burger although I’ve enjoyed the Wagyu burger in the past and recommended it to my lunch. I went with the Old classic Burger and it was outstanding, Chips breathtakingly good and Now dessert I preferred your old cheesecake although small it was PERFECT. I’m not fond of your current Baked cheesecake but luckily the sizzling unbelievably glorious sticky toffee pudding stole the show and capped off a delightful meal. Thanks again GAUCHO

ITS DOG FRIENDLY!!! Dined here a few times now, you must get the steak! Great wine too. Deserts are most likely microwaved frozen rubbish so get plenty of great sides so you don’t need a pudding! Staff are a bit erratic, some poor communication and forgetful while others clearly love what they do and are very knowledgeable.

Gaucho had a special deal where they offered guests a free 2 course meal and you only paid for drinks, service charge. We had a lovely meal (fish and steak) which tasted great. Staff were attentive from the minute we arrived at restaurant. An enjoyable lunch!

Came for new years dinner - food was great as usual - but wish they would have made a tiny bit more fuss about the moment - like a proper countdown or something - apart from that great !

For me, this is the unsung best Gaucho in London. Exceptional and friendly service, attentive, but not pushy, and knowledgeable staff made the wine and steak pairings a delight for lunch. It's a relaxed but professional location, and it doesn't feel like you're being rushed through your meal (an experience I've had elsewhere), making it all the more enjoyable and as it is 'meant to be' at such an institution. All in all, if you want the best central London Gaucho experience, you cannot go wrong here.

Unfortunately, our family meal at Gauchos on Christmas Eve was far from the high-quality dining experience we expected. The 3 sirloin steaks, while nicely marinated, were tough and riddled with gristle, making it hard to justify the premium price point. The fries were inconsistent—half were well-cooked, while the rest were underdone. The Wagyu burger was shockingly bland, reduced to an unseasoned lump of meat with no discernible flavor. The grilled sea bass was equally disappointing—dry and unappetizing. We were so underwhelmed that we left without ordering dessert or any further dishes. The only saving grace of the meal was the excellent Provenance wine, but it wasn’t enough to salvage the evening. For the price, I would recommend exploring other restaurants where the quality of the food matches the cost. Even though the staff were kind enough to remove the meals that were left untouched due to the distaste. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

Great value for the quality of the food, great service. Good place for group dinners. Lots of wine choices particularly Malbecs . Would recommend it.

We had the most amazing time with my husband tonight the food was amazing, and Argentinian wine is always fabulous but what made our night was Diego's service, he was so friendly and gave us the best menu recommendations. We celebrated our corporate Xmas Dinner at Gaucho Sloane Avenue, and the team had a great evening. I had the carpaccio as a starter and a steak as main, which were both really good. The highligh of the evening was actually not the food, but our waiter Diego. What a profesional! We were a medium-sized party, and he managed our table extremely well, always with a smile and super attentive. His personable approach was great, he read the room well and understood very early that we were a cool bunch, which just made our interactions with him so much more natural, with some jokes here and there. I have been in hospitality for many years, and it's always the people and experiences you remember the most, and this was no exception. We will definetly be returning soon to Gaucho's.

No teníamos nada decente en el avión y teníamos hambre. Necesitábamos carne y recargar energía. Antes de entrar mi esposa miró las reseñas de los tripadvisores e inmediatamente al comienzo de la comida, me dijo: Cenaremos bien hoy. Es mucho mejor que la calificación. Zaquelina fue tan eficiente y rápida y dejó una impresión gigante. Sólo podría ser excelente. Glen era tan amable y nos guió también. Diego servía a la mesa del vecino con su acento español también era tan eficiente. Wowww La carne estaba 👌como debería estar❤️ Para terminar el postre, otra sorpresa. Quería tomar fotos de la comida, pero no tuve tiempo. Era demasiado bueno. Así que nos fuimos con un corazón cálido y gracias a todos.

Lovely Sunday lunch with four adults and four children. The children were well looked after with activities and a very good children’s menu. Our whole party ordered steak(rib eye, sirloin and fillet) and we were very pleased. Sides were ok nothing special but the chips were not very good

Francesco took very good care of us. There were eight of us and half were children and were well accommodated with activities and a very good children’s menu. We all ordered steaks and were very pleased with the quality and execution. My only negative were the chips which were a bit cold and dry.

The food not the best and the atmosphere and the toilets were all dirty and the staff really unprofessional all the time. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

The food was very good, but given this was the everlasting roast option for our table of 6 we didn't get offered the top ups and had to chase everything. We were not offered any other meats, only beef, there was a delay in getting the Yorkshire's to the table, when we did ask for more meat, veg and gravy it was sparse portions for a table of 6. Our waiter, Marcel, was very good but it felt like there were a lot of people not pulling their weight and the restaurant was far from busy. Overall slightly disappointing, when it could have been excellent.

Once upon a time, Gauchos was cool…but not anymore. The interior is very dated and not well maintained. It feels like they are just milking it for cash and have given up on trying to make any effort. Our food all arrived cold, including the steak which they then researed and the result was that it ended up overcooked. Not wanting to complain a second time we ate it. For a steak restaurant to get steak wrong us in acceptable. They should have cooked a whole new steak. I will never go back and would not recommend it. London has so many better options at this price point.

Excellent steak - on par with best US and Australian steak restaurants. Service was great and chairs were very comfortable. Only downside was the level of noise (music was loud - made conversation difficult).

By far the best restaurant we ate at in London. The food was outstanding! The steak was cooked perfectly and was incredible! The staff was all great but our waiter Diego was so attentive, knowledgeable and made sure everything was perfect especially given there was a dietary restriction. We will definitely be back next time we’re in London.

Everything was absolutely amazing, the food and the service especially. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I made a booking and asked if they could do anything nice for my partner’s birthday and they most definitely delivered and made her feel so special! I went last Friday to Gaucho’s for the first time ever with my dad for his 50th before we watched a movie. To say it was amazing would be an understatement. There were only four other people in the restaurant, but that doesn’t really matter to us. Our waiter also suggested his favourite cocktail, a watermelon spritz and my dad loved it more than me and that’s a statement! Diego, our waiter was perfect. I secretly mentioned it was my dad’s birthday and not only did Diego give my dad a slice of cake, but also champagne AND a birthday card, with a lovely and quite funny message. For my first experience, it was amazing. Diego even told my dad “To fifty more!” And it made us both chuckle before we thanked him. My dad has already made a review and I felt the need to share my brilliant experience. I selected £90-100 because we decided to treat ourselves more than normal. Thank you Gaucho!

It was a great place to have dinner before we headed to The Royal Albert Hall. Our server, Diego, was excellent. He helped us with the menu and wine choices and also went through the allergens menu.
