We popped into Rum Kitchen for a cocktail and it was fab. It was by chance- we were staying in a nearby apartment and had time to kill before we checked in but we ended up having a really nice time there. We had some nibbles which were really tasty and a load of cocktails from the happy hour menu which were great value and delicious. Well worth a visit!

Εμείς επισκεφθηκαμε το συγκεκριμένο μαγαζί για ποτό κυρίως. Τα κοκτέιλ που παραγγειλαμε ήταν τέλεια, πλούσια με γευση. Δύο μεζεδάκια παραγγειλαμε που ήταν νόστιμο και ελαφρώς καυτερά. Το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ εξυπηρετικό και ευχάριστο. Το περιβάλλον ήταν πολύ όμορφο με χαρούμενη διακόσμηση!!!

The food was extremely nice, once it arrived. My tables food arrived and when questioned the kitchen had forgotten to cook my meal apart from the chips, no big deal. The waiter asked if I would like anything while I waited, so I opted for some new chips to be served warm with my actual meal. I was charged twice for the chips and when questioned the ‘head’ waiter refused to listen to me and got confrontational dragging a chair over to our table. He argued this was because I had technically had ‘two portions of chips. This to me is frankly unacceptable customer service as I would have had no need for the second if my meal had been cooked!As I said, nice food but the service was awful and I shall never be back.

Came here for a meal with a few friends and I was being served by young woman called Izabella. What can I say? It was great from start to finish. I was a little unsure on what to eat and drink but with great assistance from Izabella it was very easy. We wanted something strong and had been recommended the zombie sharing cocktail (highly recommended). I will definitely be returning as we had a great time with good music, good food and great service.

1st off I want to say DENISE is a very special woman.She constantly had me and my family in stiches of laughter. Denise was very attentive with the needs of my brother who can’t have anything too spicy in a Spicy restuarnt. She definitely left a lasting impression on the whole family. If I ever come again which I will, I have to be serverd by Denise and only Denise. Next the drinks amazing, just how I like my rum, the blends and mixes no fault there. The presentation of the food and the taste amazing! Thanks for making mother’s day special for my mum

PLUS- Jerk Bowl was excellent! Well-seasoned succulent chicken thighs, which came with rice and peas (not your traditional kidneys beans). The dish was served with chopped pieces of melon giving the dish a nice tropic refreshing taste. - I would recommend trying the fish fritters, best I ever had, came with a fiery ginger and lime aioli.MINUS - Although we had a good service throughout the night, there was only ONE waitress. She seemed overworked and struggled to keep up with service demands.

Asistí con mi familia a una celebración de cumpleaños número 80 que había sido recomendada por su comida, pero volvería a pensar si lo que quería era un servicio cálido y acogedor.Después de haber sido apretados en un stand (no fue lo que se confirmó en el momento de la reserva) nos sentimos extremadamente agobiados pero aún así decidimos aprovechar al máximo.El servicio fue lento (sin disculpas por las demoras) se sentía como una edad para conseguir nuestros entrantes, los platos principales eran Lucas cálido y, para ser sincero, solo había algunas cosas en el menú que valía la pena esperar.La camarera que inicialmente nos acomodó era la única persona que estaba atenta de alguna manera a los clientes (de los cuales le dimos una propina por separado) y, si no fuera por el alcohol, nuestra noche especial se habría arruinado por completo. Altas expectativas, lamentablemente muy decepcionante.

En primer lugar, esto no es comida caribeña ni nada por el estilo, por favor, no se deje engañar. Me sirvieron alimentos quemados que tenían un sabor agrio y luego me enfermaron. El servicio al cliente fue absolutamente terrible. Probablemente lo peor que he encontrado. Tuve que discutir con el personal por un mes entero por un 6. Reembolso de 50 Todavía se niegan a aceptar la responsabilidad de los alimentos podridos. Por favor no comas aquí. La comida es basura en el mejor de los casos, el personal es aún peor.

La comida y la bebida en la cocina de ron era increíble, fue una pena que se arruinara por el mal servicio. Nos sentamos en una mesa vacía que nos llevó media hora conseguir las servilletas y los cubiertos, y pedimos nuestros pedidos antes incluso de darnos menús. Esperó la factura que había que cambiar pero regresó exactamente igual que si los camareros no estuvieran prestando atención.

Fuimos allí para una fiesta de jubilación. El servicio fue muy lento y la comida llegó en diferentes momentos dentro de nuestra mesa. La comida estaba fría y mi amiga pidió curry de coliflor y ella dejó la suya después de un par de bocados. Tenía ganas de una buena comida caribeña pero me decepcionó. No volveré de nuevo

A recent dinner at The Rum Kitchen prompted me to finally write a review. I've been going here on & off for about 8 years now, but the service is yet to improve. Orders are often wrong, waiting staff are slow and inattentive and food can come out all over the place...

We visited Rum Kitchen with my friend on Monday night...The place looks great, food was very tasty, we had inferno wings which had a good kick of spicy flavour, and proper jerks for mains-nice huge portions. I have to recommend Mauritian punch/£5 happy hour which tastes like Paradise....Our server was Nenad, who had a sense for details and made us laugh a couple of times and managed to make this evening memorable... many thanks... I’m sure we gonna come back soon

Went for a friends birthday meal. Considering there was no-one else there they managed to mess up our order and there were only 6 of us. I ordered the Spicy Chicken burger which was not spicy. The chicken must have been on a diet as it was a small burger. The sweet potato fries were good, when they finally arrived.

I came for a cool down with my friend, we had such a good time we were in here for hours! We loved the reception we received, the manager, Reis, was very helpful and lovely, the bartender Ramairo kept us entertained and happy all evening! He made amazing cocktails and our food was also very nice!

Bartender Ramairo made some of the best cocktails I’ve had! He was super patient while I chose my drinks and knew the bar menu impressively well. Cannot fault him at all! (Order a Mai Tai!) General Manager, Reis was a pleasure to be around too. Paid a lot of attention to detail and made us feel so welcome we didn’t want to leave! Would definitely recommend & we’ll be back

My daughter and I met up for a weekend in London and decided to explore Notting hill area.

Food was delicious, service was great and fast, overall 10/10. Spicy chicken burger was delicious (wasn’t very spicy at all, but had a nice kick- I don’t like spicy food) and skinny fries were lovely.

Despite their being a large party at the same time as us, who were drinking a variety of complicated cocktails to deal with, our food was served hot and fast. The staff took time to give us friendly clear explanations of dishes. The decor was cheerful and it was popular without overcrowding. My Dad said his red snapper was perfectly cooked, served on a bed of grilled plantain. My West Indian curry was fresh, and healthy with delicate flavours and natural sweetness from pineapple and crisp coconut. Tangy rainbow salad provided a perfect balance. Maple sweet potato fries were yummy but perhaps unnecessary. The menu was realistically priced with the main dishes offering best value. We tried the mocktails which were fun and uplifting, substituting for dessert. I would certainly return and consider it for a party occasion.

To start off my ridiculous night at Rum kitchen, I was waiting for my food for over 2 hours, to which they had claimed they hadn’t received the order although there tongues changed when they saw the receipt! They then got my order wrong and the food was freezing!!! Worst service ever! Guys make sure you spend your money elsewhere.

Went to celebrate a friends birthday, there were 14 people in total. We were told they can cater for the numbers as it’s fairly quiet on Wednesdays. We arrived to be seated by one waitress who was also serving the other customers within the restaurant. We ordered our drinks, then starters ordered at about 9pm. We did not receive our starters until after 10pm. Unfortunately not all of our guests were given their starters some were missed totally. I had fried squid which was ok however, slightly oily. A friend had requested fritters corn and fish combined. The manager covering on the night served it to her, she asked if it was what she ordered. He responded that he didn’t know. Mains was served an hour later about 11pm. I had my macaroni and cheese served 11mins before my main course. I tasted it and to be frank it was not what I had expected. It was more like macaroni in the packet as a ready made meal, just add water. The snapper was not seasoned very well. The tables was not cleared before our main dishes were served. A friend had ordered curry mutton which they enjoyed. After they had finished their dishes, the waitress brought out the roti and said this was supposed to be served with the curry mutton!!!! The guy behind the bar was not busy, I don’t understand why he was not asked to help out. He was happily talking to another employee who was not working that night for at least an hour. When we spoke to the manager his response was simply to apportion blame to the chef and other staff. As a manager he should have taken more responsibility for what wasn’t to the expected standard. The standard reflects upon him too. He never offered an apology,

After the horror that was my last meal out, I decided to order many dishes just in case one was a failure.

Arrived early for our booking of four for 7.45. Happy hour drinks list explained to us. Upstairs by the bar was slightly crowded (9 people) so not difficult. The head server noticed there was very little space and said that the downstairs bar would be opening in five minutes and we could wait for the others downstairs. We did, much more space. Was seated immediately after the others arrived. We all ordered different items salt fish/sweet corn fritters/spicy prawns. We enjoyed our starters. Main course was fish x 3 and one ribs. Sides of salad, rice and peas. Food was good - no complaints or issues. Cocktails were strong and wine selection decent. Will be returning.

Very disappointed with the service we recieved. When we arrived, we were the only people in the restaurant, however the waiters took over 25 minutes to come over and take our initial drinks order! The service continued to be slow and poor all evening, despite the restaurant being extremely quiet. Very disappointing!

Estábamos en la ciudad para una boda y la despedida de soltera se celebró aquí. Entiendo que había algo de confusión en cuanto a asientos, pero donde terminamos para la cena fue muy agradable, justo al lado de la gran ventana abierta. . Que era importante. Resulta que durante un verano bastante cálido, su aire acondicionado era tener problemas así que tener la brisa era bienvenido, aunque como la tarde ya había más gente en el restaurante y se estaba haciendo más cálidos y cerraron el stuffier ventana. No estoy seguro de por qué.

Absolutely crap service, 1 hour wait between starters and mains and many tables served before us. Disorganised,lots of staff doing nothing, would not recommend. A real shame............

I have visited once in the past and reviewed the rum Kitchen here and I gave it a pretty decent review, however my second visit will now sadly be my last visit to the Rum Kitchen! The drinks are ridiculously priced for the slow speed of service and over crowded atmosphere and I found that the smoking area outside is also ridiculous and too small and confined. I would say that they cram too many people inside the place at night time and it becomes too unpleasant and in the summer- way too hot!!! The barman on the top floor was a good barman, but they are too long on staff that the service is very slow with drinks. The food is about a 7/10 and their Mac n Cheese needs some extra attention and effort put into it. Give the place a try and make up your own decisions, but I wish they would have stayed consistent as my first visit was a little more bearable and pleasant. The door staff were nice people, but could have been more cheerful and understanding. I've been to many restaurants around the world and locally, so I will give my time and energy to a different restaurant in the future and avoid the Rum Kitchen.

They forget to serve you drinks. We waited for an hour after placing order only to then be informed that they won't serve dinner.

No te alojes aquí si estás hambriento. Basándonos en nuestra experiencia, será 2. 5 horas antes de cualquier comida viene e incluso entonces la mitad de la fiesta no te cansas. Habíamos reservado una mesa para 8 personas, cuando llegamos no estaba lista, así que tuvimos que volver más tarde. Tomó otra 1. 5 horas para cualquier comida para mostrar y sólo en ese momento nos dijeron que no había pescado a la izquierda para aquellos que habíamos pedido. Resultado final: sólo 5 de 8 personas dieron su cena, aunque era bastante sabrosa. Ahora era el 10. 30:00 h. En ningún momento nos dijeron que el servicio sería muy lento, o que hubiera ido a otro lado. De hecho, los camareros prácticamente nos ignoró, así que no te den mucho en el camino de las bebidas. Además de el servicio caótico, aseos de damas fueron inundadas. Lo único bueno era que nos dieron un descuento considerable en la factura. Vete a otro sitio para la cena!

He ido a la cocina ron y Brixton y siempre Carnaby tenía comida estupenda y un servicio impresionante. Este restaurante en lugar parece un lugar completamente diferente comparado con otros sitios. El restaurante es desordenada, los camareros son desagradables y el personal era prácticamente nos ignoraba. Reservamos una mesa para 745 y después de esperar casi una hora teníamos que salir como nuestra mesa aún no estaba lista. Evitar este restaurante.

A weekend spent in London can be so hard when it comes to which place you choose to book dinner for in the evening!

Wouldn’t go back here again, service was terrible, food was cold and had to be sent back twice. Not to mention waiting over an hour for starters then another hour for mains. AVOID

Impresión inicial era un buen ambiente en el restaurante, pero después de que llevaron a nuestra mesa, nadie vino a tomar nuestras órdenes. Mi amigo tuvo que ir andando hasta el bar para pedir, por él se dijeron a volver a la mesa y esperar a que la camarera. Ella finalmente llegó después de 5 minutos. Hay que admitir que ella no decirnos que el pargo rojo y el carnero que tuvimos orden le llevará en unos 5 a 10 minutos más que el resto, que no nos importó. Pero está claro que no esperábamos que esperar más de una hora sin siquiera la botella de agua que habíamos pedido!

Visitamos aquí en una noche de martes sin reserva y nos pidieron que tome asiento en el bar mientras ellos nos dieron nuestra mesa preparada. Todavía estábamos a tiempo para el menú happy hour aunque este está limitado a quizás 6 cócteles. El personal del bar era genial y la música también era bueno. Cuando la mesa estaba lista, tenía un asiento. La zona del restaurante no era grande, pero era de un tamaño agradable e íntimo donde podrá ver al chef en el trabajo. La variedad del menú era genial y la comida era deliciosa. Para el 2 de nosotros 4 bebidas, 2 platos principales y un par de lados, la cuenta fue de aproximadamente £75. Para vuestra información, los aseos están abajo, y así fue el sótano Salón que estaba cerrado, hay una pequeña zona de bar para sentarse y si eres miembro de cocina ron, no hay ninguna restricción en tiempos de happy hour. Nous avons été attirés par l'ambiance qui se dégageait de cet endroit atypique!

Vine aquí con un grupo de amigos para celebrar un cumpleaños. Como era un grupo grande (15) nos dieron una mesa en 20. 30 y dijeron a pedidos de nuestra comida de la noche anterior. A pesar de eso, fue más de una hora antes de que recibimos cualquier tipo de comida (con un servicio ridículamente lento bebidas, cócteles mantenernos yendo bien pero tendrá que esperar para ellos), dos de nuestro grupo dijeron "hemos acabado de pargo rojo" (cómo puede suceder que cuando ella ordenados con 24 horas de antelación), mi costillas estaban quemados y el Mac n cheese era aguado y sin comer.

Went for some new rums. Bartender asked some questions to check our preference. Discoverd some nice new rums. Stayed for some food and that was awesome. And the staff was very nice, we enjoyed it a lot.

Came here for a birthday dinner, food good, wouldn't say overwhelming, just good. waiting staff seemed a bit harassed and in all honesty didn't care much when we brought out a cake for 21st. But hey can't have everything. Certainly OK joint if you want to hang out later and party downstairs. Would I rush back? probably not, but glad I went and it is worth a try. Sarah Oxford.

Back in the day this place was the spot - from royals to rich kids to Rita Ora used to dance the night away in their rum cellar. Over 100 Rum’s you could taste and choose from - which apparently is the largest collection in london ( and beyond I’m sure )

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and most of all perfect cocktails. We got a dinner, which was nice, and after that we sat at the bar, as it is really busy place.

Booked my sons 18th bday party on friday the 16/02/18. I booked it with Bianca Herelle she was so attentive to our needs, kept regular contact in all the way up untilthe day. On the day she greeted all the guests and introduced us to our waitresses for the evening. All round great food, atmosphere and helpfully staff what more can u ask for great work guys✌.

The food in this place was absolutely mind blowing, service was amazing, drinks were delicious ( and they have happy hour between 5-7pm!) the price was so reasonable to add as well. If you’re thinking about going, GO! You will not regret it, im already planning to go back

Tuvimos una comida fabulosa, el plátano, el carnero y pollo Jerk curry! La comida era muy buena, rápida y muy sabrosa, todo iba bien hasta que. . . . 3 miembros del personal a partir de un cargo de servicio nos fastidio! No actitud desde los clientes personal chase si es opcional! A pesar de este problema, comida estupenda!

Reserved an area for drinks in the basement. Lots of drinks to choose from and creative cocktails. Music was good. Ambience was top until a certain time where it felt overcrowded and too hot!

Fue mi primera vez que he visitado cocina ron y fue una experiencia increíble, el personal y la comida era un 10 / 10. En particular, había una señora llamada Lily que ayudó a mi amigo y yo nos quedamos allí y ella era de verdad la persona más benévola de todos! Ella me ayudó con mi decisión sobre qué conseguir, tuvimos algunas conversaciones entre. Realmente estaba haciendo sentir cómodo y bienvenido. Sin duda volver a la cocina de ron, muy, muy pronto! Si alguien tenía el servicio que recibimos garantizo que sería. Gracias chicos por el servicio y la comida :).

This place was above my expectations, I'm not easy to please when it comes to food, however The Rum Kitchen serves good wholesome food that tastes like love has gone into it! That's the most important thing with cooking, if you don't put care and love into it then you will not serve tasty food to people, luckily at the Rum Kitchen they did not let me and my friends down. The staff were amazing, the bouncers were polite and respectful, I felt safe on the premise and really will be telling more people about how nice it is. My only negative about the rum Kitchen is that the drinks are higher than I expected, price wise and they should consider selling at a lower cost and therefore selling a higher volume, I'm a business man and that's the advice I would give. But overall, go and visit this place as I'm pretty sure that you will not be disappointed. Thank you for your good food and happy service skills all round. Thanks and shout out to the Chef! Overall the place is good, but the rainbow salad is one to steer clear from in my opinion, reason being was the over dress salad which was greasy and completely overpowering, not to forget the size (tiny) I also had halloumi added for £3.5 taking the total for my greasy little salad with over fried super greasy halloumi to £11.50. It’s not even the price that got me it was the fact the waiter did not even ask why I had not eaten most of my main! Service was very shaky as we Where even drought the wrong bill! But the first time that we went was good, Different waiters and go for the jerk bowl it rocks!

Si estás en Notting Hill es un debe. Deliciosos plátanos, sal empanadas de pescado, calamares, pollo adobado. ackee y espinacas para nombrar un par de platos.

Vine aquí hace un par de días y el ambiente era agradable. El restaurante es bastante pequeño y oscuro, así que recomiendo reservar con antelación. El personal es atento y amable.

I don't often write reviews but I had to write this one. This is a local restaurant and I have been there in the past but this visit was appalliing. I booked in advanced but when I arrived there 'compute was down' so they had no record of the booking. I had to wait 50 minutes - fortunately with my friends so I didn't mind - but we were not found a sit just had to stand by the toilets. The worst thing was that there was no attemp to hurry or be apologetic or at least pretend they were trying. We were just left alone and then told 50 minutes later there was a table. Then ... my friends got food but 30 minutes later I was told my food was not available. A jerk burger - but they had run out of baps an hour ago. Why did they take my order? Go figure. I walked out with my friend, hungry, the manager finally come running out and said we wouldn't be charged for anything. I left hungry after 2 hours...

Vinimos aquí para cenar temprano. El servicio era relajado pero atento, no obstante. Para empezar, tenía la sal pescado buñuelos y calamares, ambos deliciosos. El estofado de cordero y los muslos de pollo estaban muy sabrosos. El pastel de plátano como un desierto era agradable pero un poco demasiado rica para mí. Las bebidas deliciosas. Sin duda volveremos.

Possibly the worst service I have ever experienced. We were first greeted by a confused waitress who seemed to have no idea what she was doing. She then offered us a table for 5 when we had booked a table for 6. Once seated things got a little better and food was ordered and served, food was good as previously experienced. We then wanted more drinks and dessert, this took 20 mins to order them and after half hour we still didn't have our drinks so we complained. We then complained several times after this until we had been waiting an hour for ours drinks and dessert. During this time the waitress seemed to be sitting with her friends at any opportunity who were also dining that night. We were unable to order our bill as no one was attending to us so decided to head to the till to pay. Our guests went ahead and left the restaurant, I was behind checking the table was clear and then proceeded to the till. At arrival to the till, everyone was very attentive trying to call security for the people who had 'left with out paying'. At this point I informed them that if they looked around their restaurant from time to time they would see that some of the party had yet to leave and in turn, pay. All in all this was a dreadful, painstaking experience which has left my opinion of the Rum Kitchen brand tarnished. The Crazy thing is I chose the notting hill branch due to my recent visit (october 2017) to Rum Kitchen carnaby street being ended short by a mouse running under my table whilst I was eating. The manager tried to palm me off with a free drink and acted like he knew there wwere mice!!! I should of learnt that these obviously aren't very professional outfits. BEWARE of Rum Kitchen!!!

My husband and I visited for the first time for my birthday treat. We really enjoyed the food. We eat West Indian food a lot, and its hard to find a restaurant that serves good fresh food. I really enjoyed the goat with rotti. We will return in the near future for some more good food!

Se siete degli esploratori del gusto, consiglio vivamente di provare The rum kitchen. I piatti sono particolari e buonissimi, ben presentati e abbondanti. La location è piccola (conisgliato prenotare), ma accogliente e deliziosa, curata nei dettagli, pulita e colorata. I ragazzi che ci lavorano sono molto attenti, gentili e disponibili, per essere una sorta di pub non ci aspetta un servizio tanto curato (i camerieri servono l'acqua nonappena il bicchiera resta semi vuoto, cambiano spesso il tovagliolo e puliscono il tavolo). Se dovessi ricapitare a Londra ci tornerei senz'altro! Consigliato!

The cocktails were good, the food was pretty average and the staff were terrible. They disappeared after taking our drinks order and took ages to ask what we wanted for food. They cleared plates away while some of our party were still eating and forgot to bring our second round of drinks (but didn't forget to remove them from the bill).

I visited the club part of the restaurant. Not for the first time. I regularly frequent both restaurant venues and have used them for work lunches and meetings. I have also visited the club before. This time, for my birthday I came across the rudest and most unpleasant woman on the door of the Notting Hill venue. She thought it was hilarious to be facetious and act with such a vulgar attitude.

Visited the Rum Kitchen Yesterday and was super disappointed with how we were treated, not sure if its because we're young but it felt as if we were neglected more than other customers. Firstly i'll list the pros of this establishment:- while booking we were asked about any dietary requirements, they took down our phone number and email to confirm the booking- They also called the day before to ensure that we still wanted the booking but also to confirm which branch it was - It only took 5 minutes for us to be seated (although to be fair as we booked in advance we would have expected to be seated instantly)- We were offered instantly what waters we wanted (tap, still or sparkling) which I thought was good as many restaurants just leave you to it or make you ask -Mentioned happy hour before ordering cocktails so we could make the most of it which was nice- the Island spiced squid was really nicely seasoned however it was pretty greasy and the skin wasn't really crispy- the bathrooms were very clean and modern- The happy hour cocktails were really nice, the rumbustion was really nice as well as the LD and wraggaemeister (I think thats how its spelt) - The atmosphere and vibe was also nice, it was very cosy with dim lighting and nice decor, as well as playing a mix of reggae and r&b chart music Cons:- Cutlery was forgotten on the table, but this was fixed quickly- It did take half an hour for us to be served (although the waitress did come 2 minutes after we were seated, but this was honestly no way enough time) but also it was difficult to get the servers attention, it may have been because we were seated in the corner but it was still quite a long time to leave us to decide - the servers we had didn't really feel too welcoming, there wasn't any conversation like how are you etc it was just here's the menus and they left - wings were quite dry with no real noticeable flavour - The spicy chicken burger tasted kinda old, the chicken was only crispy on the edges the rest was a bit soggy which meant the burger fell apart. You also couldn't taste the scotch bonnet mayo in it- it was not spicy at all which was disappointing- The Cassava Chips had 0 flavour whatsoever, had to dip it into bbq sauce felt like this was a waste of money- You also have to buy all your sides separately at this establishment, burgers on average where £8-9 sides like sweet potato chips or cassava chips were on the £4 mark- The server didn't seem the most knowledgeable as to what the differences were between dishes, or rather could explain it well (although on our receipt it said we were served by a trainee to be fair)- When offered more drinks etc the servers never took the cups so it ended up building up so we just about had space on our table for all of our food- It took over 20 minutes even for our plates to be taken and even then it wasn't taken by our server but the bartender which was really nice of him - we were then offered more drinks which we agreed to and ordered off of the happy hour menu, however when receiving our receipt it was after happy hour and the server didn't inform us despite us clearly thinking that it was still within the deal, which I felt was really unreasonable- After taking our plates and ignoring us for around half an hour again the servers only came to us to inform us that we had to leave in 15 mins due to another reservation on our table, I thought this was incredibly rude, we weren't offered any dessert menus or cocktails or anything, so we had to ask for the dessert menu- Unfortunately the Desserts were not worth the money, the rum pot didn't taste like rum at all but like a famous chocolate brands 'pots of joy' with a few blueberries and raspberries on top, the portion size was also tiny for £5 this definitely was not worth our money. The coconut ice cream dessert was also over priced, although it did deliver on coconut flavour and coffee, but for £5 once again I felt this was excessive. The coffee was super strong too so my brother couldn't finish it. You're basically paying to melt your own ice cream with coffee- even after finishing dessert we were told that we needed to leave as soon as possible (which was ridiculously rude) and then ignored for a while! For the servers wanting to rush us out this struck us as a bit odd, and then even after asking for the bill with my card out they still took around 10 minutes to come back to us where we paid and they bid us a good evening. The worst thing about this restaurant was not only were we neglected, the dishes hardly delivered on any flavours promised and we were rushed out by the end of it!

I went here for my Step mums birthday. There were 9 of us. After an initial mix up with the food order, we settled into the night. Service was good. Starters I had a roti pizza. It was nice, but it felt a bit like the sauce came out of a bottle. For mains I had Jerk chicken and rice, which wasn't left in the oven long enough - because they clearly don't use a drum. We also ordered sides. Plantain was great, the chilli mac n cheese had no business calling its self chilli nor cheese. It was agreed that would be removed from the bill. The rice and peas....very disappointing. Another thing that was very disappointing were the cocktails. Now I understand there's only a 25ml shot here and there in a cocktail, but a cocktail should be a tasty, big drink that you feel you're treating yourself with. I do not expect a 'cocktail' to turn up in what's no bigger than a shot glass - with no ice, no umbrella, NADA. My boyfriend had the curry mutton, which was tasty, but hardly any meat in it. The problem with this place is its not for locals. Its pretending to be authentic to All Saints Road, and the history it has, when in fact their main target clientele is the money people who have moved into the are and think by visiting it they are sampling culture. Harsh but true and as a local you'll get that from me. I am a big advocate of local businesses.This place could be so much better if they bought in chefs who had spent their life cooking this kind of food. They have a club downstairs and you can apply for free membership - but on your application you have to write a piece about yourself! If that isn't selecting the type of customer that really want.. then I don't know what is.

Loved the restaurant, the food was excellent big portions. I had the fritters for starters and the jerk chicken both dishes very nice. Nice atmosphere, drinks were a bit expensive but overall very nice . Would definitely recommend. Some staff were rude but others were really nice and helpful. Didn’t let it ruin our experience.

I visited The Rum Kitchen when it was newly opened and the ambience was great, especially the dance area downstairs. My latest visit on Sat 14 October (for a friend’s birthday) was great fun! We were allowed downstairs where we continued to drink and dance. However, the only downside to the night was 2 of my friends having to return their meals because the mutton (from the curry mutton) and the spicy chicken were undercooked. One re-ordered the fish (which is what i had), and the other re-ordered the Jerk Chicken. However, by the time they arrived, my friends had been put off eating further! They were complimentary about the portions, the cocktails and our waitress! Management were tentative and took our suggestions on board! I would go there again and stick to the saltfish fritters, the fish, the cocktails and the dancing downstairs!

This place has some of the tastiest food known to man, but since it has become more popular, the quality and portion size has dwindled. The goat curry is delicious, as of course, is the flagship jerk chicken.

Yummy! Fun and easy going atmosphere for a dinner with friends. For people who have a problem with noise or dark restaurants, maybe not the ideal place.The food was really tasty but also pretty heavy so if you are looking for a light snack or healthy bite, maybe not the right choice. But if you are looking for a bit of comfort food with nice spices and tasty seasoning, this is the place to go to!We had the green chilli Mac n’ Cheese (spicy but great), Plantain (very sweet and delicious addition to meat), Slaw, sweet potato fries, salt fish fritters and various mains. Everything was really good. We had some cocktails with our main and these were also very tasty.Not sure if I will come back to eat in a lot as it was very noisy, space was tight and the staff was super busy and had not much time and took pretty long but I will definitely order the food for takeout as that was excellent Caribbean food!The food bill and 2 x cocktails each came up to £135 for 4ppl, which I think was reasonable.Yummy Yummy Yummy

We found the staff so rude ! The manager on duty on that night was lovely but hes staff the girls who serving us they make us fell so uncomfortable . The girl on duty at the front door entry light skinny one told the girls we have to leave because the table was reserve to another people , we did understand that our wine bottle was half way so we ask them if we can go downstairs they said no because was reserve for birthdays parties so we explained we are having a good time the food was nice today its Friday lets us go down for a drink they said no . I call the manager he told us its fine we could stay ,after we spoke to the manager they come back told us to leave we said we going to go downstairs now they told us you are not allowed . So we left the restaurant .it was a shame because the restaurant its lovely food are great but the girls all of them part from the one work in the bar were playing with us after a long week and day at work .make us fell not welcome we didn't do nothing wrong we were 4 girls who having a good time .

Excellent food and great ambience .i celebrated my birthday and the Appleton went down well with my jerk burger . The staff where very accommodating and polite ,rarely found in London . Keep up the good work and big up to the chefs .🙏🏾👍🏾🎉🥊

After a long anticipated visit, my partner and I final rock up to the rum kitchen on the famous All Saints Rd....first impressions were rustic! I can do rustic, the place was extremely lively and very loud but it's a Friday night so I guess that goes hand in hand. I pre ordered a spicy chicken burger with all the trimmings...very mediocre to say the least! The cocktails "Rude Boy" was extremely sweet and the service was a major let down. Our waiter seemed slightly irritated at any mention of us asking when our food would be ready, the manager offered us free drink due to the long wait, but then made excuses that the chef had two big orders to deal with...tut tut! I'd probably go back on a less busy day...perhaps!

We arrive there at 3:00 pm after we so the menu for like 10 minutes we ordered but basically they didn't have a lot of dishes on the menu . They should told us before when they give us the menu . And the worst was they run out of bread (on Sunday brunch in unacceptable) . The waitress was not the best was like giving us a favour to serve us . Not the best impression as a first time there . They should keep the high standard as all the Rum kitchen has . Appart of that the food was very good . Hopefully when I will go back will be better

We popped in here for a drink, great timing, it was happy hour so we had a couple of cocktails. The menu looked good so we decided to eat. I had the veggie curry, my friend had the red snapper, we both loved our meals. We were going to stay for dancing, but after a shot of Petrone each we decided to go for a wander instead. Place had a great atmosphere, sure the young 'uns loved the dancing.

I had heard good things so was excited to come here. However staff were rude from the moment we walked through the door, seemed to have no concept on how to give good customer service and just couldn't be bothered. After about five minutes of continuously being confused by staff and being spoken to rudely we decided to give up and left. The atmosphere was also very uncomfortable. Won't bother going back and wouldn't recommend.

First time visiting Rum Kitchen went to celebrate friends birthday, ordered various starters salt fish fritters needed more salt fish and as one friend is vegetarian ordered sweet corn fritters couldn't taste or see any sweetcorn :-( , menu lacks choice for non meat and fish eaters need more choices not just veggie curry :-( & prices were a bit pricey particularly the cocktails even though they were very tasty were very expensive, on a positive note the staff were very friendly and service was very good and had a great time even though bill at the end was very expensive would go again but needs to save up before next visit.

I do like the Rum Kitchen Restaurants. The one in All Saint Road is local to me. So I have been there the most. The Service is great and food ab fab. Their Baby squid is to die for. However their Cocktails are a bit weak. but still tasty.

Only OK. I had read good reviews about this place so was looking forward to eating there. However the food was only OK. I didn't find it to be as authentic as I thought it would and the menu wasn't very varied. Drinks wise, cocktails were weak and expensive. Service was poor. Not sure if that was because it was a busy Saturday night.

Tasty array of authentic Caribbean dishes and an even tastier selection of rum based cocktails that will knock your socks off. Great Ambience, very attentive staff and an overall superb value for money. Try the Spiced squid, Proper Jerk washed down with a few Ting Wrays. An absolute delight

Food was good and came quick. Before the drinks. Service staff seemed to be able to cope with the amount of people in the restaurant.One of us got the wrong drink. There was a pre-carnival the street going on, so inside it was even louder then it would be and you could barely understand your own word. It was okay, the food was nice and fairly priced for notting Hill but I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.

My husband and I had an excellent evening. The food was lovely. I highly recommend the pizza roti. The service was incredible (you need more waiters like the young guy with the locks) and the crowd was friendly. Looking forward to returning, see you soon Rum Kitchen 😊

Very tasty food - good quantity for the price, too! Atmosphere was rustic and romantic (if you want it to be!). Great service and friendly staff who make you feel very welcome and appreciated. I had a very lovely date with a man who was as hot as the food 😎🔥

Really enjoyed our meal at the Rum Kitchen, where 4 friends met up to celebrate a spate of birthdays. The food was excellent, and very tasty and the cocktails were well made and with a great range of different Rums. We also accidentally booked in on a night with happy hour, so had some great value cocktails to start. The various different Jerk plates all looked and tasted great and food and sides came quickly after ordering. Service was generally fast and polite, and although we had been warned before we only had the table for 2 hours, we weren't actually moved in the end, so got to stay finishing drinks for a bit longer. The only downside to the evening was that, although there was a good atmosphere, the music was up so loud as to make conversation very difficult, and everyone left rather hoarse. Maybe we are just getting old though?

Came here after a trip to the cinema, good music, good cocktails and good food. Staff are friendly. Venue not very big so would recommend booking if you go on a busy night. Not sure I would go here if I wasn’t in the area, but if you are it’s a fine place to go to.

Been here before a couple years ago and it was amazing so this time I was expecting the same. Unfortunately I was left very disappointed. Brought my friend for her birthday, cocktails had so much ice in that after 3 sips (no joke) it was gone. The 'jerk' sauce tasted like it was out of a packet and the service was awful! Had to wave down the waitress for drinks and then waited about 10 mins each time. No one checked on us throughout the meal and then we had to wave down the grumpy waitress again to clear the plates after sitting there for 20 minutes after we had finished eating. So gutted :-( oh and to top it off the toilet was dirty too. Would not go back.
