Casa Cruz Restaurant in Kensington and Chelsea

Food is nothing special, lacks an edge. Most dishes are very simple which is fine when there’s a real focus on the quality but I didn’t find that was the case here. They have a nice outside terrace and atmosphere and design are very cool. Service was good but food took a long time to arrive. The winelist is painfully overpriced as is often the case in such places.

Definitely a good restaurant compared to London's gastronomic offer. The prices are certainly not in line with the location and the quality of the products. A good alternative to the various multi-ethnic restaurants in London.

Good atmosphere. Food is far from extraordinary, specially for the price. Portions are small. Good wine selection. There are many other options available for fine dining in London.

Food is good, not outstanding but good. Cocktail’s are even better. The only issue is the tables are so close to each other. We were offered a table literally next to reception. Why would anyone put a table there? It kills all the atmosphere. They have too many tables for the space. Make sure you ask for a different table when booking.

I have dined in 150+ restaurants in London and this is my all time favourite restaurant!! The flavours are flawless, the atmosphere romantic and intimate and all the staff are always super tentative. Last time I came I was served by Annie who was so incredible. I can’t thank her enough and hope to see her again soon. You are so lucky to have her as an employee. Superb for an evening out with friends. Argentinean roots guarantee great beef and steaks but I was also very pleased with the scallops, burrata, and lamb shoulder, as well as the lemon sole. Service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is really good - they've done such a good job of the festive season decorations.

The food was fine, but for the price you are paying the portions are minuscule. The service was okay, they were very quick to push us off of our table and let us know we couldn’t go upstairs for a drink because it was closed for some influencer event (should have been mentioned when booking). Spent an absurd amount of money and left feeling dissatisfied. Would not go back.

Food is good, staff are great but I would say it’s just okay….. really over priced and really average. Money best spent somewhere else…. Gold is down the road and 100% better 👍🏽 you won’t have a bad time here but you may feel a bit hard done by.

Absolutely delicious food - The tuna with almond sauce to die for, grilled artichoke, lemon sole, humita spiced corn, ricotta truffle ravioli - all amazing - and as for the raspberry souffle.... YUMMY!!! Great service and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is NOT worth what you pay: they food is okay but average, there is no service, yet the bill is very high. What you pay for is the look & feel.

I've been to Casa Cruz several times and usually enjoyed the food. However, my recent dinner with friends was a bit disappointing. The sweet potato was undercooked, the blackened chicken was burnt, and the steak wasn't great. The other dishes were fine. Hoping for a better experience next time.

Very rude and arrogant hostess insited I was at the wrong restaurant, even after repeatedly asking her to check my reservation. She sent me to the other side of town to their other restaurant, claiming I had a reservation for that one, to find out there that she was wrong ! I had to go back to the original restaurant where they were waiting for me & spent +2h in the underground going from one side of town to the other! The food was definitely not worth the treck!

Very disappointed with our dinner tonight. Drinks took 30 mn to be served. Some starters were forgotten and brought along with the mains, Some mains came 20 mn after the first mains, half of the table ate by themselves ...80% of pasta dishes unavailable on the menu .... Overall very poor service and unprofessionnal. Whatever issues the restaurant had tonight, either they should remain closed or adjust and adapt, which they did not. We were offered 3 deserts but this doesn’t unfortunately compensate the very poor experience. Won't definitely come back nor recommend this restaurant.

Not worth the money.. It was so quiet on the terrace but despite asking, we were seated inside where you could hear a pin drop on a Friday night. Got given a pre menu with olives bread etc on which I've never seen before - seemed like you only graduated to the main menu once you'd picked something off this one.. Wine was £16 a glass minimum, fine but surely give more choice - 2 for each colour, £16 or a £25+ option. The food was average, the chicken came cold on its own (on a hot August day that is quite an achievement) and the 'caramelised sweet potato' was barely cooked and definitely not caramelised. My friends starter of goats cheese and fig salad was literally just a bowl of leaves with some chopped up cheese and tomatoes in for £18. My half of the bill was £80 - for my 2 glasses of wine, some olives, a piece of chicken and some sweet potato - fine if it was delicious! Great service though, I just don't understand the point of a restaurant that doesn't care about food, great for an influencer to pose in the mirrored stairwell I guess. Notting Hill has some really gorgeous restaurants I'd recommend first.

A great place to spend the evening, primarily due to the incredible staff. It is really noticeable how attentive and intuitive the waiters are, and really makes the restaurant shine apart from similar competitors in London. My glass of wine was never empty and we felt so well looked after from start to finish by every single member of staff. The decor is fab and food great but the fantastic staff really took the crown for me. Thank you!

This was my first ever dining experience in London and i felt it was the best as the staff were attentive and the way everything happened was perfect The food was amazing with lot of flavours and the quantity is absolutely great to be sharing with family or friends and it makes it feel to be having a great time together, i loved the crab, steak tartare domino potato, soufflé, pistachio ice cream almost everything was super delicious The drinks selection was very good and the suggestions on wines according to the food was spot on Soo much love guys ❤️

Shared a casual business dinner between 3 of us and really enjoyed the setting and ambiance of Casa Cruz. Decor is deco styled with comfortable banquettes and the place has an air of an old school Parisian restaurant. Food is Euro Latino fusion! We ate Fish and Buratta as starters and Fillet steak and Iberico pork as mains with delicious vegetable sides of hispi cabbage, sweet and roast potatoes, oyster mushrooms and glazed carrots. Deserts were delicious with Dulce de leche flan, ice creams and a sundae, all amazing. Had craft German beers but the wine list looked quite extensive and I saw a few cocktails being shaken and stirred! Will be back as a couple to try more dishes and to tuck into some nice Argentinian reds! Only reason it was not a 5 was that the steak although perfectly cooked had sat too long on the pass and was not that hot when it arrived, however, the quality of the produce shone through!

Trendy “latino-ish” restaurant. Vitello tonnato was a bit wet, as if the meat wasn’t given enough time to defreeze and dry. Ribeye is excellent but could be served warmer. Great selection of wines but overpriced

Estuvimos cenando un sábado por la noche, y mi valoración sería de cinco estrellas, sino fuera por los precios desorbitados, sobretodo del vino. Comimos un steak tartar muy bien conseguido, carne tierna y muy bien aliñado con un punto de picante perfecto. La pasta estaba muy buena, sabrosa y al dente. La pena es que no pudimos pedir una botella de vino (solamente hicimos un par de copas), porque realmente los precios que ofrecen son desorbitados y no se corresponden con la realidad. Hay vinos a 80-90 libras que fuera del restaurante valen mucho menos de la mitad... Que un vino lo pongan tan caro no significa que sea ni bueno, ni de calidad... Eso sí, el lugar es espectacular, la decoración es muy sofisticada y elegante y, en general, es un sitio muy acogedor.

Very disappointing restaurant. The service staff was appalling - spending ZERO time explaining the menu and wine list. The food is very mediocre, I honestly enjoy my Hello Fresh meals more than I enjoyed their food. At least when I serve myself food it doesn't come cold and with a bad attitude! When we paid, I got the bill and it needed to be amended as it was too high. We got the next bill, and it was even higher! Then I mentioned the disappointing experience and the service staff looked at each other and giggled! Total amateurs.

The service was incredible and there were plenty of tasty options for vegetarians... I will definitely be returning for the ricotta truffle ravioli!

Casa Cruz is a wonderful restaurant in London that offers an array of delicious and unique dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The guacamole is especially noteworthy, freshly prepared with just the right amount of spice. The margaritas are top-notch, made with fresh limes and premium tequila. The prices are very reasonable, and the restaurant has a great selection of wines and beers. All in all, Casa Cruz is an excellent choice for a night out with friends or family. Highly recommended!

Room upstairs is great for private dinners, with a private bar. Food is good but not amazing, especially considering the high prices. The inside is very instagram friendly but as such attracts this sort of clientele.

Food was fine. Atmosphere was a bit dead (went at 8pm on a Saturday night, maybe it was a bit early, but I would have expected more fun from a December evening so close to the holidays). Wine list wasn't super inspiring (like, they had Whispering Angel as their rosé). We sat down, the host informed us we had 2.5 hours at our table. I don't love when restaurants begin the interaction this way (tacky) but fine, that's a long time to eat dinner. After 2 hours, we had just ordered another bottle of wine and were about to order dessert when the manager informed us that the next table had arrived and we would need to leave. The bar is tiny and half the restaurant was booked for a birthday party, so there wasn't really a place for him to put us. It was just awkward. Then, they sent over the next party to hover awkwardly near our table while we were wrapping up. It was just super bizarre. The only time I've ever experienced this was in a random diner in NY in 2012. I know it's London so we have to discount the service level by at least 50%, but it was just embarrassing. Hopefully they get it together for the NY location.

I couldn’t have been more surprised walking in. Not your typical NH restaurant. I liked the ambiance (though slightly cheesy crowd.). Wine, cocktails, service and vibe all good but food could have been better. Ricotta ravioli was a group favorite but I preferred the cacio de Pepe, Sea bass was ok, lemon sole over done and dry, boys loved their meat feast. Sides were all good and the raspberry soufflé stole the show.

What a venue! spectacular 👌 a true hidden 💎 gem. The rooftop was exceptional let alone Manuel's hospitality.

First, let me say, the food was excellent, and the staff exceptional. The manager’s behavior was anything but that. My husband had visited the toilet, and slipped on the bottom step and fell, but did not hurt himself. When I was preparing to do the same at the end of our meal, he warned me to be careful, because that bottom step is at a different angle. As I was descending the stairs, I made sure to be careful. However, in spite of that, I still slipped on the same bottom step and fell. (That bottom step turns to the left). The attendant came over to me immediately to help me up, as I could not stand on my right foot because of the pain. My daughter then asked staff to get the manager - they also were very kind and helpful. To a person, no one seemed surprised that someone had fallen. We were even told by a couple staff that this has happened before, that several patrons had fallen on that same step. The manager came, and could not have been less gracious! His comments were condescending and rude. He stood on on the top steps and said “there are lights, didn’t you see them?” ( there is no light on the bottom stair). He said that if I had been looking, I would have not fallen. His next comment to me was “ what do you expect me to do?” There was literally not one apology, nor any type of responsibility taken on his part. By then our Uber had arrived. We had planned on walking back to our hotel, but of course could not now. He was made aware of this also, and still did nothing. We certainly did not expect reimbursement for that, but he also did not offer to help with that. We would definitely return to Casa Cruz for the food, but are extremely disappointed in the manager.

The interiors were stunning, lots of attention to detail and you could say an « instagramable » location. We sat in the beautiful terrace upstairs. Although everything tasted good, it was just too pricey for the portion. I ordered the Sole and got 4 thin slices. I understand that the market is though and all the prices went up but I really could not justify this one.

I went to Casa Cruz with my colleagues and despite the staff having, what seemed like a catastrophic day, everyone was extremely professional and accommodating. The setting itself is beautiful, would recommend solely based on ho well they managed all the external issues that day. My steak was cooked to perfection and the wine selection was amazing. Gracias!

Terrible experience this evening. After a lovely dinner (good food and service), both of my parents fell down the staircase as they were using the restroom (the second parent was even warned first). I asked to speak with a manager to raise concerns over the hazard (the bathroom attendant mentioned falls happen regularly), and the manager could not have been less apologetic or more condescending towards both me and my mother. There was zero concern over how my mother was doing or how we would get home, and there was nothing done to make amends. He made my mother feel incompetent for managing to fall and belittled us both. This experience ruined a perfectly good meal, and I can’t imagine supporting a business with such horrific management.

Had problems with the kitchen when we visited, but they were consummate professionals and unabashedly apologetic. A great meal, and we look forward to coming back again to enjoy with more time and leisure!

I’ve been to Casa Cruz many times and this year I decided to celebrate my birthday here. I called to book a table for our party 6 weeks in advance and asked specifically for a table on a terrace. I was told that they wouldn’t be able to guarantee a terrace table for me and my guests on the day, even though I repeatedly saw birthday celebration on a terrace with special decorations, which would need to be organised in advance. When I asked how it would be possible for me to plan for my birthday, as I want it to be flawless, they suggested to look for another restaurant. Fantastic customer service! Guess I won’t be returning 😉

I’ve been there for my graduation and I loved the place. The food amazing, especially the meat, and the wine list was excellent. Furthermore, the staff was extremely nice, from the doorman to the waiter. Definitely going back soon!

We went for a celebration and the restaurant did not disappoint. The meat was cooked to perfection and the sides we chose were great. We went for the domino potatoes and corn. The service was good as there were not a lot of people to attend. Would definitely be back!

Very disappointing. My partner and I went there for diner, ordered 4 plates, 2 of which came cold, the meat was OK but nothing special, the rest was very boring. The gnocchi were over cooked they tasted really bad. I put a note on the reservation asking for a birthday plate, and called a few hours before arriving to advise we were celebrating a birthday, however they brought the dessert without any birthday note. When we finished our bottled still water the waiter brought an opened bottle from somewhere else and refilled our glasses with someone else’s bottle. Overall the service was slow and not very attentive. Prices are cheap but you can feel that in the service and quality of the food. Will not visit again. We left hungry and disappointed. Feels tacky- they take a £100 deposit from your card and discount it from your bill, which they never do in good restaurants. It’s a shame this restaurant has no character, the playlist and the service don’t create any atmosphere; overall very boring

Way overpriced, the scallops were over cooked to almost rubbery levels the lamb and pork were way too salty. And the whole meal was too much with a higher service fee than even annabels for service that was not extraordinary. Definitely wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

Great decorum, great food but alas this is all spoiled by a dishonest charging system. Beware they debit GBP 50 per person when booking and never deduct it from the bill. First time I gave them benefit of the doubt. Second time this is no accident. Scammers

Flawless...The ambiance, design, service and offering. There was nothing to fault and we truly cannot wait to return. Casa Cruz is definitely one of London's best kept secrets. A special mention to Davide Martini for going above and beyond to look after us and really surprise us with his warmth and attention to detail. He is a true hospitality professional and the team at Isabel is really lucky to have him.

Brought my girlfriend to this restaurant to celebrate her birthday, we ended up spending twice the amount we originally intended, with thanks to our excellent service from our waiter Giuseppe! It was our first time coming and we will be definitely turning into regulars. We had a magnificent meal with gorgeous wine. Which were both recommended by our waiter. Thank you Giu for making our night so memorable!

The wine wasn’t great, and the server gave us a tequila shot for 60£ Without telling us the price. They weren’t very friendly as well, felt like they wanted to end their service very quickly. The food was good though. But I wouldn’t come back for a service as bad as this.

Mark up on wine was absurd. Recommended a 'superb' Argentinian malbec at £90.00. It was pleasant but nothing special. Out of interest googled it to find I could buy it at retail for £25.00. As the restaurant would buy wholesale even if one assumed a cost of£18.00 this is a 500% mark up. Astounding and also shocking. A shame as everything else was excellent, but I wouldn't return due to the excessive drinks pricing.

A Romantic spot this Gem is hidden in Holland Park. Great for special occasions & the team are all very wonderful and professional. Beautifully dark decor either floor you choose to dine on.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Well designed interior provides a nice atmosphere with generally interesting people around you. Unfortunately, the food is definitely not worth the hype and price (the salad and chicken were particularly uninspired, the pasta/gnocchi were really just average - only the sea bass and cake could be worth mentioning). Completely deteriorated since I had been there 2 years ago The person opening the door was completely inexperienced No fillet beef, I mean this is a steak house, how does this happen ?! Pisco soir was the worst pisco I had in a long time - I sent it back (I did not pay for it) Took 30 min for our wines to arrive - well the forgot but they had been reminded twice, just was not listening Jamon I Erico was laughable ! Dry and lacking taste The rest of the food was at best average (ribeye ok) but then it is 250 pounds without wine. Let’s hope it is a post Covid temporary dip, will try another time in a year
