Just had a medium Cod which was cooked to perfection and skin removed which I don't mind either way. They do what looks like a very nice pie & mash Wed thru Sat and must go back to give this a try. Great staff and a great experience as always.

Was shocking, chicken was full of fat and no meat and cold , chip were shocking . Fish was full of grease , will never use again .

I love Manze’s pie & mash so have never risked buying from anywhere else, but these guy’s have nailed it. Just as good as Manze’s, and they have chilli vinegar on the counter. Love it!

Ever since it has changed from Tom bells the food as gone very down hill. Food is always cold or soak in Oil. Really sad to be honest as was once really nice. Hopefully they pull it together

Vile vile vile - My partner and I ordered pie and mash from Tom bells. Not only did the delivery take an hour and 20 minutes but wow the food was the most disgusting thing we have ever tried - we wouldn’t of even fed it to the dogs! The mash was dry and lumpy, the pies were burnt and the mince was dripping with fat juices and had a weird salt taste. Everything about this place is yuck!!

Sold me a mince beef and onion pie when I got home it was 3 days out of date ie 13th November pie dated 10 November took it back and was told they are frozen and its 10th November 2021. Rubbish peters pies are not frozen here looked in his freezer to say they all the 10th. So how old is the fish etc on that place never will go in there again check the dates if you do writing to Bromley food standards

Disappointing food the last couple of times - uncooked batter and poor quality fish. In addition covid procedures not being followed and masks not worn by staff or customers making experience uneasy

This place has some of the most welcoming staff ever. The hospitality and customer care could not be challenged. We all got small chips and cod; and the chips where fresh and piping hot and tasty like they’ve been soaked in beef stock. Fish was fresh and crispy. I can’t wait to come back down and see you all. Thanks for making out first visit most memorable.

I ordered on line for the first time. Really good sized portions. Arrived within half an hour despite a busy time of the day (early evening). Food was tasty and plenty of it for the money.

poor customer service, 30p a sachet for tomato ketchup, which I find disgusting as you need at least 2 per person... no handwashing or toilet facilities, the chips were ok, but nothing special, will not be returning to this chippy

Have been told this is very good Fish & Chips it is the best value fish and chips around we purchased 1 Large Cod 1Small Cod 1 large sausage in batter and a large chips the large fish was huge and even the so called small fish was big so big other places would regard it as large not small, even the large sausage in batter was a monster I asked the staff would a large chips be enough for 3 adults and he replied yes ,he was definately correct I think should have called it extra large as there was an adequate amount for 3 adults no wonder this place is popular they even deliver which is rare for a Fish & Chip Shop I will most definately be back again the total cost was £17.80p well worth the money

Was a little worried having read some of the reviews but 3 clean plates speak for themselves. Lovely crispy batter on the cod which was cooked really well and perfect chips. Will definitely go back!

Worst chips I’ve ever had! Over cooked and dried out, cooked and reheated 2-3 times. Only gets 2 stars because the Fish was alright.

Excellent fish and chips, don't know whether it has changed hands since last visit probably a year a go. Fish was great probably the best I've had in a long time. Very busy Friday evening but they have a good system so didn't have to wait for it all to be freshly cooked. Would definitely recommend.

Three of us went for a meal on Saturday evening. I was concerned that we were the only customers and the reason became apparent when we got our 2 cod and 1 rock salmon for me. The cod was 3rd rate but the rock was off the bottom of the scale. The chips had a grey tinge and were not at all good. I was surprised that as part of a franchise the etandards were not a lot better. A bad experience so never again will we eat at Tom Bell

Pulled up outside fish and chip shop as I was famished the front of the shop looked good and inviting , So went in and ordered cod and chips waited about 15 minutes they were servers up in a thick paper bag with the cod on top then the top of the bag was screwed up ,they were fresh very hot .set about eatting said cod and chips . Chips were hard and no flavour cod was ok but very greasy .No a place I would go to again really need to up their standards .Very disappointing .

If you value a clean and traditional English fish & chip shop it is unlikely you Will find this " dirty den " satisfactory. This place is NOT for you! The quality of the food is poor and dripping with old oil ( fat ) The oil smells bad. The staff do not wash their hands. The staff are unable to display the good manners that you should expect from those who know and love the " garden of England " AVOID unless you want to be defiled by filth.

My husband got a take out from Biggin Hill Tom Bells not only did a member of staff over charge him but when we got home to eat the food was tasteless. Instead of the chips tasting of nice salt n vinegar they tasted of burnt oil. Will not be returning.

I was very impressed, good portions, very well cooked fish and not greasy. I think we will be a regular whenever I am near.

While having some renovations on the kitchen, we decided to get a quick takeaway. Tom Bell did not disappoint. Cod, scampi, chips and a gherkin. Great. Would recommend.

Take away fish and chips for four just didn't come up to expectation. The fish, cod and rock, was just ok but the chips were soggy and totally spoilt our meal. Not to be recommended and certainly room for improvement.

I always find that if you not happy with any part of your order they are only too happy to try and put it right. I don't like too much batter on fish and so as long as you tell them when you go in they will do this. It's like all fish and chip shops depending on time of year, chips can be delicious or so so.

One could think it is hard to go wrong with a fish and chips. One would be mistaken.Maybe they do not care because they are the only fish and chips in town, or maybe they just can’t cook.The fishes we had were cooked in their batter with their SKIN on! We had to throw the batter away as the skin tasted terrible and couldn’t be removed.Some bones were complimentary.The chips were soggy, barely fried, just of the plastic bag.I had to throw most of it away. That has never happened to me before.Keep you money, or go to the kebab next door.

Sad to say not impressed with our food. Cod and chips for us and fish cakes for our little one. Fish cakes quite nice, cod acceptable, chips rather soggy and not that enjoyable. Rather expensive also compared with other local fish and chip shops. We have had food from there before and was Ok but also found to be expensive by comparison. I know the phrase "you get what you pay for" but afraid it did not meet our expectations and we will be unlikely to purchase from them again. Plus point; the young lady serving was very pleasant.

I have been to this on two separate occasions where the order has been freshly cooked to order.Staff friendly and polite.As I gave a large order with each of the family having something different it was challenging.However on both occasions I placed a order something was always missing when I arrived home. First time can be excused, second time I went back and to be fair he was apologetic and gave some extra chips. Make up your own mind.

Has a good local reputation so I gave it a go despite a previous unimpressed visit. Staff very helpful and courteous but food was truly dreadful and did not taste freshly cooked. Batter just fell off in lumps resembling rusty steel plate. Very expensive for what you got compared to other nearby takeaways. I got the impression that none if the staff really knew how to cook fish and chips and were badly trained. Will not return.
