This fish and chip shop is always very good, always really nice

Received curry sauce rather than mushy peas but otherwise nice piece of fish and generous portion of chips

Ordered online, food did not come yet said it had been delivered. We then tried to call the shop but it was constantly engaged. The food never ended up coming and they wouldn’t offer a refund either. Terrible service, I do not recommend.

Phoned the restaurant and they said that the delivery driver hadn’t arrived and there was a pile up of orders, the order took over 2 hours to be delivered, when it said 30-45 minutes

Chicken was dry and cold. Hardly any spices on it either. Cod was the just warm but dry at the edges so not freshly cooked. Curry sauce was stone cold. Don’t think I’ll be going back to this chip shop was awful

Order was delivered very late. No star for delivery time but I had to clicked on one to submit the review.

Wasn’t too worried about delivery being 15 minutes late, but the batter in the fish was really greasy.

Arrived just after 9pm to check if they were still open until 10pm as advertised on Google maps. Chap behind counter says he hopes to be in bed by then. He said get back by 9.30pm if we want anything, we return at 9.20pm and says he can only sell chicken wings or cold drinks, nothing else. Very poor

I have ordered from Tom Bell on numerous occasions and this is the first time I have been disappointed. The fish was lacking in flavour and the batter seemed to be different to how it was before. Shame, as I normally really rate them.

40 mins late! Ridiculous! Don’t order this unless you want it an hour late!

Very expensive, £13 for chicken nuggets, chips, and a saveloy. The chicken nuggets were nothing to shout about, saveloy was tasteless, and chips were average, only reason I didn't walk out when told how much was because they were for a relative in the hospital next door and they fancied something different then hospital food.

It was more than half an hour late and they didn’t even know our order. It took 1hour and 30 minutes to deliver. Do not recommend

I ordered with 30-45mins delivery time, which should have had it to me by 14:00 at latest. I then received a text message to say it was going to be a bit late & the delivery time was going to be between 14:15pm & 14:35. Finally arrived at 14:55. Food taisted good but coud have been hotter,, it was just warm.

Food was fab, because the shop does their own deliveries, there was little information about delivery and I was notified it was delivered about 5 minutes before it was but the food was still hot and very tasty. Would definitely order from again.

Extremely poor takeaway tonight. Everything soggy. Chips really poor - soggy, wet and limp. Cod ok. I think they just rush out the delivery orders without any care. Very dissatisfied, not anywhere near worth the money paid. Won't be ordering from there again. Normally get from Court Road shop of same brand, much better from there.

Very personable and friendly young guy serving. Ordered online with the phone discount, and walked round to collect. My regular sized rock was replaced with a large cod as they'd run out of rock. The large fish and large chips were pretty substantial. My dad had the scampi and that looked nice too. I thought the chips looked a bit anaemic and undercooked at first, but they were actually very nice and well cooked. A very nice (and pretty small) FnC place, but you'll only find it from the Sainsbury's car park.

Great food, kept warm. App said food was on the way 25 mins before it arrived, but was on time! Only annoyed because the food is great and had to wait longer! Food was fantastic

The food is nice but the guy called huseyin made me feel very uncomfortable. At first I thought he was just being friendly as we was having a normal conversation but then he asked inappropriate questions and asked for my number even after i told him i am 19 years old and he is about mid 40 to 50s. Since then I have not gone back as I am worried I will go in there when he is working. Shame as a nice chip shop

Do NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!! Man on other end of the phone said he does not care that the food took three hours and was stone cold, and to top it off was not what we ordered. Food was not even edible. Please save your time and money. They are now forwarding my calls. Very unprofessional.

It’s taken the restaurant one hour to deliver two portions of chips with curry sauce to a location that’s 5 minutes away from the restaurant. Still waiting for the food so likely it will be cold when it arrives.

We ordered a large cod, large haddock, large chips and onion rings. Neither of the fish could be called large, and the chips did not even fill the small bag they were in. My fish was overcooked. My daughter liked the onion rings. We have fish and chips from other businesses, and those are far, far better. We are very disappointed with Tom Bell.

Even taking into account Friday evenings are busy and England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 were playing football the delivery time was unacceptable. I ordered at 7:05pm it didn’t arrive until 9:10pm !! My order………pie and chips, I am expecting a refund please.

Nowhere near your normal standard. Food was almost cold by the time it arrived, normally it’s still piping hot. To top it all the driver dropped the order.

The cod was crispy, the fish was moist and the chips were perfectly creamy. I would have given 6/6 across the board if not for the fact it wasn’t so tasty the second time around (if you catch my drift). Absolutely gutted!

I’m sorry to say these were the worst burgers I’ve ever had. Rubbery, cold. I threw them in the bin and had to suffice with the roll and chips.
