Tom Bell Fish & Chips in Bromley

Went into the fish & chip shop ask for some chips for my nephew. We love the chips. The young man was very nice and kind to tell me how to get to the hospital.

Only live round the corner but the courier took the food about 3 miles away so when I finally got it it was cold

since my partner had a baby in the pruh hospital I went here for dinner. now order at home, best chips, crispy batter, proper nice, best chip shop iv found in 10 yrs of orpington. 10/10

It was okay - buttered roll was a burger bun, and the chips went stale very quickly, really odd.

Nice food and with the Black Friday discount it was a bargain

Ordered a large chips for nearly £5.00 and got the most pathetic potion size. It was barely enough to feed a 4 year old. Very disappointed.

Ordered online, food did not come yet said it had been delivered. We then tried to call the shop but it was constantly engaged. The food never ended up coming and they wouldn’t offer a refund either. Terrible service, I do not recommend.

Chicken was dry and cold. Hardly any spices on it either. Cod was the just warm but dry at the edges so not freshly cooked. Curry sauce was stone cold. Don’t think I’ll be going back to this chip shop was awful

Order was delivered very late. No star for delivery time but I had to clicked on one to submit the review.

Wasn’t too worried about delivery being 15 minutes late, but the batter in the fish was really greasy.

Arrived just after 9pm to check if they were still open until 10pm as advertised on Google maps. Chap behind counter says he hopes to be in bed by then. He said get back by 9.30pm if we want anything, we return at 9.20pm and says he can only sell chicken wings or cold drinks, nothing else. Very poor

40 mins late! Ridiculous! Don’t order this unless you want it an hour late!

I have ordered from Tom Bell on numerous occasions and this is the first time I have been disappointed. The fish was lacking in flavour and the batter seemed to be different to how it was before. Shame, as I normally really rate them.

Ordered a burger and it was delivered uncooked and inedible. The meat was rock hard

Very expensive, £13 for chicken nuggets, chips, and a saveloy. The chicken nuggets were nothing to shout about, saveloy was tasteless, and chips were average, only reason I didn't walk out when told how much was because they were for a relative in the hospital next door and they fancied something different then hospital food.

I ordered with 30-45mins delivery time, which should have had it to me by 14:00 at latest. I then received a text message to say it was going to be a bit late & the delivery time was going to be between 14:15pm & 14:35. Finally arrived at 14:55. Food taisted good but coud have been hotter,, it was just warm.

It was more than half an hour late and they didn’t even know our order. It took 1hour and 30 minutes to deliver. Do not recommend

Food was fab, because the shop does their own deliveries, there was little information about delivery and I was notified it was delivered about 5 minutes before it was but the food was still hot and very tasty. Would definitely order from again.

Extremely poor takeaway tonight. Everything soggy. Chips really poor - soggy, wet and limp. Cod ok. I think they just rush out the delivery orders without any care. Very dissatisfied, not anywhere near worth the money paid. Won't be ordering from there again. Normally get from Court Road shop of same brand, much better from there.

Very personable and friendly young guy serving. Ordered online with the phone discount, and walked round to collect. My regular sized rock was replaced with a large cod as they'd run out of rock. The large fish and large chips were pretty substantial. My dad had the scampi and that looked nice too. I thought the chips looked a bit anaemic and undercooked at first, but they were actually very nice and well cooked. A very nice (and pretty small) FnC place, but you'll only find it from the Sainsbury's car park.

Great food, kept warm. App said food was on the way 25 mins before it arrived, but was on time! Only annoyed because the food is great and had to wait longer! Food was fantastic
