A variety of sandwiches and pasta. A few other items but for the most part quite mediocre for an Italian eatery

Always lovely fresh food (salads, breads and hot foods). Plenty of choice for hot and cold drinks. Popular (busy place). Good for babies and children. Polite service from staff. I only wish they would serve hot food on hot plates. We have been customers for a good few years now. Always return .

Food not bad but can't help think some of the staff here truly despise working here. Common curtesy and a smile goes a long way.

Friendly staff, discount for senior citizens, good fresh sandwiches etc made to order and some hot food. Reasonably priced. There are 2 Giardinos in The Glades, one on Upper Mall has tables, chairs and some sofas/armchairs, the one on the Lower Mall is smaller but has generous outside space for smokers. UPDATE!!! Sadly the Lower Mall cafe with outside seating has closed down. Use it or Lose it🤷🏼‍♀️ UPDATE - sadly we lost it!! The lower mall one with outdoor space closed down 🤦🏼‍♀️

My chillI-con-carne jacket potato was delicious and satisfyingly substantial.

Great choice of food good portion sizes and very good quality. Good value for money five portions.

After many years, it's not how I remember it. Quality has gone down from food to the service. All staff were nice and friendly but not exactly helpful. Asked 4 different people to clean our table, dirty from the last customers. Took close to 30 minutes and when it was finally cleaned, it was done poorly. We couldn't finish our food either, it wasn't great. They substituted bacon for an extra sausage at no cost which was good.

This place never falters when it comes to the quality of the food and the staff, who are cheerful and friendly even when extremely busy. A great place to meet family and friends with a buzzing atmosphere. But this can also be part of the problem. It is a bit of a victim of its own success as it is usually extremely busy. Trying to find a place to sit is a big challenge especially if you're on your own as you've collected and paid for your meal and then find there is nowhere to sit, and you stand there looking with your tray in hand hunting for a table. Another annoyance is you find one person sat and eating at a table for four people. This does need to be managed by staff as it's the only thing that lowers the rating. But otherwise a great place.

Visited today and very much enjoyed the food chicken escalope salad and garlic bread my wife’s egg sandwich was equally good the staff were warm and friendly the problem I had was when visiting the toilet on my exit found a cleaning check notice this was not filled in although it was 11.20 and should of been checked three times hourly as stated we had our food and I decided to visit the loo again I was amazed to find that now the three missing checks were now fully filled in ????? That’s not right !

Our pasta was stone cold. Wrap was charged as a panini on the receipt (which is more expensive), apparently because it had peppers in it 💁‍♀️ even though I said I wanted just a standard wrap as it comes. Coffee was nice. Overall, underwhelming.

The food took a while, but I enjoyed a nice family day out.

It was my first visit today with my two daughters, a Monday lunchtime. Started to get busy as we left, which was around 1 o'clock. Two of us had the full English breakfast ( £10+ for what you see in pic per plate!), and we were very disappointed, only one sausage and one slice of bacon. Baked beans weren't great, a bit watery. I thought that was a bit mean. Left feeling a little hungry still, which wasn't what I was expecting. My daughter had a tuna melt, which looked nice. I'd go elsewhere for breakfast unless they changed things. (Just noticed a review 9 months ago saying same thing re portion sizes re breakfast so comments dont seem to have been addressed! ) Apart from that, it seemed a nice place, clean, and well run. I think I'd eat somewhere else though in future, comments are read and not addressed.

Always happy to visit Cafe Giardino, staff is always smiling and trying to help, Mr Renato always try his best to accommodate customer needs! Child friendly place with plenty high chairs! It is usually busy so you might have to be a bit patient to place your order.

A lovely Italian cafe with a huge choice. The standard portion of carbonara was all I could eat and it was excellent. It's always busy but that's a good sign.

Always find this place nice, with the pensioner discount.

No clear way of ordering!!! Can't tell where to go for what! Member of staff ignored me. Had better service at McDonald's. The person who replied to my message said you simply go up and order. Nope!

*edit* I just got home and was violently ill. Do not recommend to anyone! *Original post* I ordered full English with no tomatoes, still got tomatoes. My bacon was so under cooked it was slimy, as well as the scrambled egg being cold & lumpy making it not edible. My partners omelette was undercooked (raw in the middle), also quite watery. They are clearly rushing the orders because it’s busy. They might be unstaffed but putting the customers at risk of food poisoning in the process.

Low quality food with tiny portions for £10 is not right, you could go many over places and get better food for less

My friend ordered a pot of tea. It was ghastly colour and poor quality. In fairness they did replace but 2nd pot.no better. My flat white coffee was not gr8 either. V disappointed tbh

Been here many times and the food to be fair is normally good, this time however I decided to have a chicken curry, the curry itself was quite bland and for some reason there was potato in it, in fact there was more potato than there was chicken which I though was a bit much considering the 11 quid I paid for it. If you going to bulk out a dish with cheaper ingredients at least put in in the food description.

I ordered scrambled eggs on toast and found the egg to be quite dry and grainy, almost like powdered, and it was a choice of white or brown toast. Would have preferred a sourdough option.

Great place! Doesn't matter whether you're having just a drink or a meal you're treated as a special customer.

Just had tea and toast here at £6.55. Such miserable staff. Mot a 'hello' or even a smile. Toast was cold. Not cut, just shoved on a plate. No butter. Waitress was shocked when i asked for it!! Won't be returning

Walked into the cafe and was greeted by this very rude man who works behind the counter, the one who makes the sandwiches etc. I was looking at the menu and he asked me what I wanted ,the shop was not busy and he was being so patronising saying it's ok I have all the time in the world just take your time. At first I thought he was joking but when I told him what I wanted he still carried on being rude so I just decided to walk out. The advice I would give to this man is to go and learn how to deal with customers and to learn and teach himself some manners and to show people some respect. I will definitely not come back here in a hurry. Much better places to eat elsewhere.

Despite vowing never to set foot in this establishment again after the last episode (below) we decided to give the place a second chance. We had been contacted by the company which showed they do have an interest in what the customer thinks (not all do). The service this time was not only swift but exemplary, with warmer plates, not hot, but, good enough. Even a lady who appeared to be more senior was checking to see if every thing was ok. So 5 stars from me, it's always worth giving someone a second chance. So first time I've ever set foot in here and probably the only time. Mid morning 11.20 for coffee and late breakfast. Had some lovely looking sausage rolls so we ordered 2 and two lattes with flavours. The sausage rolls were then microwaved making them soft and greasy. Only 1 latte had the correct flavour what should have been hazelnut was vanilla. Sausage rolls to one side we ordered a garden breakfast and eggs benedict. My wife's garden breakfast was completely cold almost as if it had come out of the fridge and missed the cooker. My eggs benedict was just warm enough. My wife's garden breakfast went back much to the staff's annoyance. Very poor attention to detail and not cheap for breakfast.

The food is always gorgeous in this café; What really upset me when I went there yesterday; around 1 pm was an employee serving drinks, a woman with short blonde hair who was rude to me (the look she gave me when I said just a normal white coffee please, I’m not sure about coffee, I don’t drink it, it’s for my friend and then she slammed down the milk jug on the tray which made it spill everywhere ) and so rude to the other staff, it just put me off of ever going back. If you are taking a job where you are working with the members of the public, you should not have that attitude. She spoke to a young colleague (with curly hair) in such a detrimental way, it was uncomfortable to see and I felt sorry for him. If that was me I would have walked right out straight to the job centre). To act that way to your colleagues, in front of customers is just not professional… 😡

Currently dining at this establishment with my friends.The food was lovely and filling, however, I feel deeply upset for the staff as despite Busayo the lady at the till being calm and lovely- the lady in the blue shirt who seems to be her supervisor was snappy to her staff and us and gave us a very unsettling feeling. The cutlery was also dirty. Would recommend as the food is lovely, but, the efficiency can be greatly improved- I would suggest a mobile order system !

Rudest place to eat! Avoid if you do not want indigestion as the staff is rude, rush you to place the order at the counter. On top, they don’t speak english well, which would not be a problem if they weren’t rude. No customer service at all. First and last time for me.

This place is always busy, in fact you’d struggle to get a table any day at lunch time. The food is always good and fresh- prepared right in front of you. The jacket potatoes are huge! Our go-to are the paninis and baguettes and they have a wide variety of fresh and delicious fillings. They fill the sarnies to the brim and they can be toasted. Yum! We recommend the cray fish and avocado and the chicken, sweetcorn and bacon options. The sandwiches used to come with a small side salad but they scrapped that. A shame for the price. The coffee is expensive and mediocre in our humble opinions. In fact, the only downside to this place is the price. It’s EXPENSIVE! Two sandwiches, a coffee and a cold drink set up back £25. Which could get us table service at one of the many lovely cafes in Bromley. This is always a good option if you want a tasty lunch but remember to come with full pockets!

The quality of food used be good and staff friendly! Not now..... I waited 20 minutes for eggs royale. My food arrived with greasy finger marks around the plate and a hair on my plate. On returning my plate to the counter, staff were rude and redirecting me with my plate to another member of staff. Clearly was same plate when my food returned as plate had greasy finger marks on it so nothing was changed. The poached eggs were under cooked and cold too. Awful for £11.95!

Convenient and nice panini's located within the glades shopping center. It gets busy and the ordering system is a bit chaotic, so make sure you're not in a hurry.

Food was tasty - had poached eggs on toast. Ordering was a little slow and waitress was quite adamant that we had to stand at the counter to wait for our coffees - they don't take them to your table. Bit odd as it was a very quiet Wednesday morning and our table was only a metre or two away.

My first visit to Giardino and I'm impressed, food was great, looking forward to going back.

Centrally located with a nice Atmosphere. Visited with a friend for a coffee later in the afternoon. The cafe was clean, and service was prompt. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Prices for coffee were as expected ( I did not purchase any food) This cafe is centrally located in The Glades shopping centre. There was plenty of seating. This venue has a lovely view, with nice window and balcony seating looking over the park.

Hi, to be honest I worked on that specific shop as chef ,and obviously I was stolen from the mangmant, that not all for the food for example, vegetarian or vegan they think eating something for them¿ the same fryer used for the pork sausage, it's used for the vegetarian one, for the chips as portion , & for fish and chips ex so if you are vegetarian, vegan ,Jewish or Muslim, and you ask for garden breakfast or chips ( French fries ) technically you eat the pork ,as the same grill used for the bacon, it's used for mushrooms and tomatoes obviously I say that's truth ‽ on reviews, cause I didn't get pay for my hours Monday the 4th december ,half day basically from 7h30 13h30, and this is the first stage the vegetarian & vegan association ,going to be next ,just for precision I'm not Italian or Portuguese (with all the respect for all the humanity and animals nature ex..) Small portions for breakfast. My Partner and I aren’t big eaters, however, for £10 we were expecting more from a “full English”. A single sausage and a single rasher of bacon?

I loved this place and now I can’t say that I do. The food used to be decent in quality and quantity for the last 2 years I’ve come to this place - had their food at least once a month up until this summer. Now that the price has gone up, I didn’t expect much more but I did expect the same quality of food. That wasn’t the case with my visit yesterday. Bland, small in portion, tasteless and expensive! Paid more than £10 for this horrible eggs royale with tiny amount of sauce and saltiest salmon. Not worth the money. You can find better eggs royale with slightly more money but vastly better in Chili cafe. The only decent food one can get is the panini probably. Sorry but you have lost one of your loyal customers. Is it the chef that has changed? The management? What made you turn into a cafe that used to be decent and now just downright underwhelming? Quite sad about this.

Ordered a fish and chips took up an hour to arrive and we had to ask twice and they kept on forgetting

We really do enjoy coming here. We have quite mixed feelings however. The portion sizes on the English breakfasts are far too small, and every time we order toast it always comes without butter. Unfortunately today, we also experienced quite a few staff on video calls at tables with their volume up loud which is a huge downside. Additionally, an older man with glasses who works there was shouting at a staff member in-front of everyone in the queue to order their food. It’s a shame the staff are treated that way, especially so publicly, equally, it’s a shame we have to listen to their video calls when we are trying to enjoy food. Positively, the food is delicious.

I visit here every time I come to Bromley, and the food has always been amazing, but on this occasion, I was disgusted. The tea cup I was given was dirty, so I went to the counter, and the young girl changed it for me. I sat down at my table about to pour my tea, and the second tea cup was dirty. This was replaced again, and 3rd time lucky, the tea cup was clean. I ordered Eggs benedict, which I was really looking forward to... The wait was long enough, but when it arrived, OMG! I was shocked, the muffins were completely burnt, the bacon was, and poached eggs looked like they had been thrown on the plate. The presentation was enough to put anyone off, never mind the burnt muffins. I took it back straight away. The man apologised, but I was still unimpressed by what it was replaced with. I was going to complain to the manager, but I just wanted to go as soon as possible. The only reason I ate the replacement was because I was so hungry by then. I will not be returning to eat here in the future!

Very disappointing meal and customer service. Ordered tuna mayo sandwich and cheese toasty with 2 coffees for £17. The toasty tasted of sausages and the tuna mayo had no mayo but was full of oil and onions. Asked a member of staff for help, but issue not resolved. Please use a different grill for veggie and meat dishes and when asked for tuna mayo, please serve what was paid for. On a positive the coffee was nice but soured by the atmosphere because I complained about the food. Do not recommend, stay away.

Disappointed with lunch today. Ordered a tuna panini with sundried tomatoes which was served with ordinary sliced tomatoes. No salad leaves or anything for presentation on the plate, no knife or serviette came with it either. We also ordered a ham and cheese panini which is exactly what was served . However you would think a little more effort on presentation would go a long way. It was mediocre to say the least. Coffees were cold by the time the food was served to us as well.

I didn't like the food at all. The food was very bland and it doesn't look very appetising to begin with sitting behind the counter for God only knows how long. And for £25 I could of choked. The eating area is actually nice and you can sit outside and the toilets were clean, the coffee was ok but if you was to ask me for a place to go to grap a quick snack this wouldn't be it. Sorry.

Lovely,clean,place,friendly staff,great food,wide choice. Reasonably priced. I even brought some food home for my husband ,he loved it too. Warning though, the pesto contains CASHEW NUTS, not pine nuts, so if anyone's like me with nut allergy, give that miss.

Food was OK, as expected from a place that does so much variety. The ordering process is confusing, awkward and slow however and the staff although friendly don't make it any easier. One of our plates also came out 10 mins after the rest of the food which wasn't ideal either.

I attended late afternoon. Lots of food choice. Clean venue and nice atmosphere. I had the spicy vegetable pasta ,mushroom and pepper pizza slices and cheese cake all of which tasted good. Choice of dining inside or outside on the balcony overlooking the park.

Lovely tea and coffee. Croissants could have been bit fresher but still really nice to sit in the sunshine and overlook the park. Customer service excellent, really very thoughtful.

Delightfully fresh food. Service counter a bit unorganised effected service delivery and paying no clear order of where to que for what or pay once you are served.

For what is supposed to be Italian their coffee lacks everything. Could try harder!

Nice cafe, had breakfast, was a bit pricey and portion on small side. Atmosphere however made up for it and sandwiches looked great so will go back to try them.
