Wimpy in Bromley

We decided to come here last night as a party of 5 and so glad we did as we all really enjoyed our meals. The restaurant looked really clean and all the food was very fresh and tasty. The children particularly liked the milkshakes! The service is very friendly and efficent. We were thanked when we left also which was nice and showed that they value good customer sevice. We will definitely come back again.

Excellent lunch at Wimpy Beckenham. Our waitress was absolutely lovely and the food was served quickly and tasted delicious.

So would.just like.to.share my view....20 years ago I was in here with my daughter and it was snowing outside I'd just lost my job it was near Xmas and all my step daughter wanted was a hot meal...and some.how the manager or managers son saw me counting coins etc at the table and some how grasped the situation....anyhow long story short ....he came over quietly and asked what the matter was and I explained.....he politely scrapped the coins off the table and said burger chips and beans do ?? With a ice cream and a drink... How one act of kindness meant so much to much it's never been forgotten and I treat everyone with kindness when I can like this man.. I believe he now runs the restaurant.

Would never, ever go in a McDonalds, but would recommend old school Wimpy. The Beckenham one is a good one. Good quality beef and friendly service.

Wow what a blast from the past and what a great retro meal we had here. Popped in on a recent Sunday by chance, had the old-school beanburger and chips, and shared a Brown Derby to follow. The food was great, one of the nicest veggie burgers I've had in a while, and the hot sauce on the side was actually properly spicy! Big portion of chips also. The Brown Derby was as good as I remember it from being a kid, and our service was lovely too. Well done Beckenham Wimpy!

Spotless. All the staff were polite. Food arrived quickly and was great. This Wimpy is rarely different. Well done. I rarely get the chance to pop in but will always do so when I can.

Arrived stone cold again. Had to pop in the microwave which is very disappointing so won’t order again as not the first time it’s happened

Wimpy in beckenham, seriously little bow chips when you tip them out on the plate, it's like half a portion absolutely sick in . I would hate to see a child's size portion One little tiny squirt of burger sauce in my quarter pounder couldn't even taste it had to Beg for some more we had to tell him to bring the squeezy bottle. Yeah, a deal. Outside on the board that we didn't see 2 quarter pounder meals 17.95..we where charged over £20 No wonder they had no customers. Will not return here shame gives wimpy a bad name as there is only about 60 restaurants left in the UK I put this down to pure greed

Chips were stale and rock hard awful

When you order two portions of chips along with two burgers, you expect to get two, NOT ONE!!!!!!

The staff here are so incredibly enthusiastic about Wimpy - they are a real asset to the community and so welcoming, helpful and polite.

Very poor service and cold cold food

The food was freeing, it took over 30 minutes to deliver! The restaurants not even 30 mins away, the map showed he stopped en route and was stationary for over 10 minutes. And he spilt the milkshake. When I asked him what time he collected it, he didn’t answer and wasn’t helpful in anyway.

My go to place for years. On my own or with a group of friends. I always have an All Day Breakfast, just love the Bendy sausage, even as a kid and I'm retired now!

Food arrived stone cold and burger looked thrown together and squashed, the drink was leaking everywhere. For the price of the food not worth it at all. Won't be ordering Wimpys again frist and last time. I never write reviews, but this bothered me.

Wimpy is one of the best place to eat food - been going here 20 years. I'm so grateful that this one is still open after the lewisham & Sydenham shut. I will keep buying here to keep it open. Staff are incredible and friendly

2 cold burgers and a half empty box of fries for £18.75

Heard its Wimpy's 70th Birthday so just had to take a nostalgic visit . Then found sadly a Wimpy now not easy to find!... Guess over the years other brands have taken over. Went to the Wimpy in Beckenham and it was a great choice... nice atmosphere, lovely friendly, attentive staff and plain basic food nicely cooked .. So sorry to find it so empty on a Friday Lunchtime though staff assured they definitely had their busy times. Given such a significant Birthday, to see some Celebrity decor would be nice.. 👍

Restaurant is 5 mins down the road and it took 45 mins to deliver. Food cold had to wait another 15 mins to heat it up again. One consolation the milkshake was OK.

We are fans of Wimpy and visited recently being served by a fab waiter. Sadly on our return today we sat for 10 minutes being ignored by the three female servers. The restaurant was not busy so we left. We will return and hope the service is back to normal

Loved this place. Didn’t actually get anything to eat but the servers and atmosphere was wonderful, truly a rarity these days! Will be coming back to eat soon.

Worst hamburger meal of my life. It took forever to get the food, even the restaurant was almoust empty. Food itself was cold, cheesefries where one mess, fries didint have any salt, burger was dry. And it took forever to get a check. Also it was freezing inside. Never again.

The original wimpy way! My son absolutely adores this wimpy and we come often. The staff are amazing, always friendly and attend to your every need. Great for wimpy Wednesdays for an affordable dinner for all!

You got my order wrong I asked for onion and ketchup in burger 🍔 it’s not in it just cheese meat and bun so not great and it’s cold the chips are also cold and not to the standard when I come in and eat - sorry 😞 just being honest

Awful management cold food but lovely crew members

I love this place, and order from here a lot - but on this occasion you were stingy with the chips. Yes, there are rising costs, but please don’t penalise those that have chosen to spend £11.45 on a burger and chips with you.

Usually very happy with the service and quality as often visit here, but today very poor when asked if everything was ok on paying I said well apart from the salad I'd order which I had complained about the lettuce was brown and limp certainly not fresh crisp I'd already eaten it in a wrap I couldn't eat a plate of it as a side salad as well,very disappointed with a side salad which was simply limp lettuce and 3 slices of tomato a lettuce and 6 tomatoes cost cheaper than the 3.15 I still was charged, the waitress had told them so knew I hadn't touched and wasn't happy with it so was surprised as to his reaction to my answer when he said ok that's ok then🤷and still charged full price for a side salad which was limp, lettuce and tomato is garnish rather than a side salad sorry wimpy very disappointed,

What a great Wimpy. Went with the kids on Saturday for lunch. The service was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Food came quickly and was tasty (reminded me of the 80's). Kids loved the milkshakes. Definitely going back.

Best buttermilk chicken burger I have had !! Leon the fella that served me and family was great the best customer service I have ever seen in a burger shop. We will definitely be coming again, next time we're going to try the breakfast meal. Compliments to the chef for the amazing tasty food.

Just popped in as had an appointment in the area, requested the Big brekkie and the lovely lady with the glasses advised me that she wasn’t too sure as they were really busy with the orders. I stated that was fine and she went over to the girl with the long blonde hair who was preparing the food and this girl mouthed something and rolled her eyes?? I settled for the All-day and sat and watched the girl who was cooking and decided it was a ‘No’ from me as she had nothing covering her long blonde hair and staff were also milling around with nothing covering their heads. . Paid for my spice tea and left. Very unhygienic and the girl with the long blonde hair hanging over the food that she’s cooking you’re very rude to your other staff members!! She needs food hygiene training and definitely an attitude check. Will NEVER go back and enjoyed my chicken and chips from Favourite Chicken and Ribs. Bring back the old Wimpy!!! Firstly, for me, it's been a long time since I even saw a Wimpy, so without doubt, it was enough just to visit a Wimpy. It was a Wednesday morning when my friend and I visited and there was no-one else there at the time, but a few people did come in after us.

Food arrived absolutely stone cold and had to microwave it. Shame as not the same after microwave.

This is the best Wimpy in the whole history of the universe! The manager is very friendly and you can even get counselling there. If the staff are in the mood they might even serenade you with a song on the guitar! This is not a wheelchair friendly place unless you can dismount to use the toilet. The place is immediately outside a bus stop if you find walking hard. They will let you stay here as long as you like if you want to relax and have your tea or read a book.

For the second delivery in a row, the chips were omitted from the delivery. Staff are presumably rushing and completing missing that the order is a meal deal that includes chips. So twice we have ended up paying too much for what we actually received. Disappointing from "The Ivy" of fast food!

This was the first time in many years I have been to Wimpy and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I felt very relaxed and the food and music was good!

Delivery driver dropped order on the floor causing drinks to spill everywhere not restaurants fault drivers fault

Went on bonfire night with 3 kids. We were taken to our seats. The place was quite busy and it took a while for the menu to be presented (I physically got up to ask for it and still had to wait). The place was clean, it felt modern and I liked the fact the kitchen was visible. As with all wimpy cafes the food was basic prep however for what it was they did an excellent job and they did the brand well. Their milk shake was throughly enjoyed by the kids. It passed my thickness test though I personally resisted it. Portion sizes were reasonable. The price was OK, its inflation so I guess I need to adjust what I determine as value. The menu layout I didn't like. I preferred other wimpy where you went through the booklet. The location is clear and visible. There is paid parking around. Not accessible. I was able to get a single push chair. A double push chair would struggle. I think the bathroom was passed the kitchen. Meaning you have to walk past staff (not keen about that). Overall, definitely come to the Wimpy you won't be disappointed.
