My go to place for years. On my own or with a group of friends. I always have an All Day Breakfast, just love the Bendy sausage, even as a kid and I'm retired now!

Wimpy is one of the best place to eat food - been going here 20 years. I'm so grateful that this one is still open after the lewisham & Sydenham shut. I will keep buying here to keep it open. Staff are incredible and friendly

Heard its Wimpy's 70th Birthday so just had to take a nostalgic visit . Then found sadly a Wimpy now not easy to find!... Guess over the years other brands have taken over. Went to the Wimpy in Beckenham and it was a great choice... nice atmosphere, lovely friendly, attentive staff and plain basic food nicely cooked .. So sorry to find it so empty on a Friday Lunchtime though staff assured they definitely had their busy times. Given such a significant Birthday, to see some Celebrity decor would be nice.. 👍

We are fans of Wimpy and visited recently being served by a fab waiter. Sadly on our return today we sat for 10 minutes being ignored by the three female servers. The restaurant was not busy so we left. We will return and hope the service is back to normal

Worst hamburger meal of my life. It took forever to get the food, even the restaurant was almoust empty. Food itself was cold, cheesefries where one mess, fries didint have any salt, burger was dry. And it took forever to get a check. Also it was freezing inside. Never again.

The original wimpy way! My son absolutely adores this wimpy and we come often. The staff are amazing, always friendly and attend to your every need. Great for wimpy Wednesdays for an affordable dinner for all!

Usually very happy with the service and quality as often visit here, but today very poor when asked if everything was ok on paying I said well apart from the salad I'd order which I had complained about the lettuce was brown and limp certainly not fresh crisp I'd already eaten it in a wrap I couldn't eat a plate of it as a side salad as well,very disappointed with a side salad which was simply limp lettuce and 3 slices of tomato a lettuce and 6 tomatoes cost cheaper than the 3.15 I still was charged, the waitress had told them so knew I hadn't touched and wasn't happy with it so was surprised as to his reaction to my answer when he said ok that's ok then🤷and still charged full price for a side salad which was limp, lettuce and tomato is garnish rather than a side salad sorry wimpy very disappointed,

What a great Wimpy. Went with the kids on Saturday for lunch. The service was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Food came quickly and was tasty (reminded me of the 80's). Kids loved the milkshakes. Definitely going back.

Best buttermilk chicken burger I have had !! Leon the fella that served me and family was great the best customer service I have ever seen in a burger shop. We will definitely be coming again, next time we're going to try the breakfast meal. Compliments to the chef for the amazing tasty food.

Is it old fashioned? Maybe. If lovely service from the friendly, helpful and utterly lovely staff is old fashioned. If decent day food cooked well and presented nicely is old fashioned. Recommended

Just popped in as had an appointment in the area, requested the Big brekkie and the lovely lady with the glasses advised me that she wasn’t too sure as they were really busy with the orders. I stated that was fine and she went over to the girl with the long blonde hair who was preparing the food and this girl mouthed something and rolled her eyes?? I settled for the All-day and sat and watched the girl who was cooking and decided it was a ‘No’ from me as she had nothing covering her long blonde hair and staff were also milling around with nothing covering their heads. . Paid for my spice tea and left. Very unhygienic and the girl with the long blonde hair hanging over the food that she’s cooking you’re very rude to your other staff members!! She needs food hygiene training and definitely an attitude check. Will NEVER go back and enjoyed my chicken and chips from Favourite Chicken and Ribs. Bring back the old Wimpy!!! Firstly, for me, it's been a long time since I even saw a Wimpy, so without doubt, it was enough just to visit a Wimpy. It was a Wednesday morning when my friend and I visited and there was no-one else there at the time, but a few people did come in after us.

This is the best Wimpy in the whole history of the universe! The manager is very friendly and you can even get counselling there. If the staff are in the mood they might even serenade you with a song on the guitar! This is not a wheelchair friendly place unless you can dismount to use the toilet. The place is immediately outside a bus stop if you find walking hard. They will let you stay here as long as you like if you want to relax and have your tea or read a book.

Not been in here for ages didn't wait long for service waitress was polite and pleasant food was cooked well and enjoyable and I found it reasonably priced it wasn't that busy but I'm guessing this could be a popular eating place ?

A trip down memory lane, still as good as ever.

This was the first time in many years I have been to Wimpy and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I felt very relaxed and the food and music was good!

Went on bonfire night with 3 kids. We were taken to our seats. The place was quite busy and it took a while for the menu to be presented (I physically got up to ask for it and still had to wait). The place was clean, it felt modern and I liked the fact the kitchen was visible. As with all wimpy cafes the food was basic prep however for what it was they did an excellent job and they did the brand well. Their milk shake was throughly enjoyed by the kids. It passed my thickness test though I personally resisted it. Portion sizes were reasonable. The price was OK, its inflation so I guess I need to adjust what I determine as value. The menu layout I didn't like. I preferred other wimpy where you went through the booklet. The location is clear and visible. There is paid parking around. Not accessible. I was able to get a single push chair. A double push chair would struggle. I think the bathroom was passed the kitchen. Meaning you have to walk past staff (not keen about that). Overall, definitely come to the Wimpy you won't be disappointed.

Me and my family had a lovely time dinning in, Tobby was excellent and very welcoming. Our children were very happy. The food was really good and the milkshake was absolutely amazing We will be back for sure

Best breakfasts, lunch, dinners, desserts. I have been going to wimpy every Saturday since I was 5 yrs old..I introduced my sons Dad 17 years ago...he loves the halfpounder with bacon & egg ( they make it especially for him) its my sons 15th birthday on Sunday ....He always chooses wimpey for his birthday treat!!! The kind staff gave my son a large Red Beefeater Wimpy man when he was born 😁

A well established family friendly eatery. Lovely environment and friendly staff. Good food and some vegan options too. Would definitely recommend if you want a better class of fast food.

This was my first time in Wimpy for decades. The Beckenham store has been recently refurbished. It was clean and had a calm atmosphere, The staff were all friendly and attentive. The quarter pounder with cheese and bacon was really nice, freshly cooked to order - nice soft white floured bun, crispy fresh lettuce and a pleasant, gentle taste of beef and bacon. The chips came in a generous portion and were well cooked and crispy. I'll be back!

After myself & family built up a good amount of excitement of having the plan of dining out instead of our usual a Sunday home cook we were hugely disappointed to the fact when arriving 45mins before closing time our family were rudely turned away at the restaurant saying they were closing.. Considering we’d traveled over 30mins to visit to get to the restaurant! Really not impressed with our experience here today.

My wife's favourite as a teenager, so while on a short break in London we had to check this place out, food was freshly cooked and very tasty the milkshakes are wonderful and dessert was lush. 10/10

LIME MILKSHAKE!!! My parents divorced nearly 30 years ago when I was 10 and when I went to mums (I stayed with dad for school) in Beckenham for the weekend, we'd go here a lot. The food was relatively cheap and still is but mum knew how much I loved the lime milkshakes so I'd get one with the meal and one to go. I love this place because it brings back great memories of talking to her about anything and everything. I've only ever had the same thing here, battered fish, chips and peas and Lime Milkshake (I've recently started adding a bender on the side) and its stayed consistently delicious. Is it the best place for food? Probably not but its been a constant over the years, one of very few places that take me back to being 10. A few years back I went here to eat with my fiancé, I was told that they were stopping lime flavour and that I'd be the last person in the UK to ever have one. There was a genuine moment of sadness that my tradition would be lost. I didn't go back for ages until a friend told me they were doing them again. Fish and chips with any other drink would be a slap in the face to my memories. I should visit more often, it always seems so quiet when I do go, there's so many other places to eat nearby that this place gets overlooked. Obviously this isn't a review of the food so much as a trip down memory lane but I hope this place stays exactly like it is, they have a customer for life in me so long as they keep the fish and chips and lime milkshake. Next time I visit, I'm taking mum and were going to sit in our booth, second from the till on the left side.

Took my 2 year old son in today and could not fault it. Staff were extremely attentive to my son, making conversations and ensuring he had a good time. 2 drinks were slightly delayed (which wasn't an issue at all) and they were extremely considerate/ accommodating. Customer service was brilliant and both the young male, and young female with brown hair, made our visit worth returning too. Food was also delicious!

Just had breakfast in the Wimpey in Beckenham High St. What a pleasant experience. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. The coffee was hot and a full cup. The staff are friendly and polite. The premises are clean and comfortable. Will definitely be visiting again for a plate of flapjacks.

I haven't been to a Wimpy in years and had the opportunity to do so, the food was disappointing not how I remember it plus we ordered 2 x desserts (wouldn't usually) as they were buy one get free, we realised later we'd been charged full price!

Wimpy was my go to place as a kid. It's a shame that so many restaurants have closed.This is one of the few remaining, but well worth a trip down memory lane.

Popped into the Wimpy at beckenham for a late breakfast on Saturday 27th November. I've always liked a Wimpy every now and then but hadn't been for one in the past year. What a great experience! The young lady serving us was so polite, smart and friendly. The other chap that served us, chap with a beard and a tad older than the other staff, again so friendly and obliging. The breakfasts they offer were excellent and a real proper breakfast worthy of any of a favourite cafe I've been to. Whilst we were there there was a small birthday celebration taking place for a youngster. The family had bought a cake and the staff turned the lighting down for a few seconds when the candles were lit. Nice touch. The other thing that was obvious was how clean and tidy the restaurant was. It looks like it's had a refurb in the last year. All good and I'll definitely go back.

First time at Wimpy for years. Place was really busy because of the fireworks nearby. Staff were really attentive and friendly. Food was old-school, but great - all the kids were very happy with it. Top place - highly recommended, and we’ll be back.

The bean burger is insanely and surprisingly good. Holy bean! Make sure you get it with chilli mayo and cheese 🤤 the boss there was also very nice and welcoming!
