The service by Shannon was excellent she supported me with my dietary requirements as I am coeliac. The tablet I was given explaining food allergies was inconclusive but Shannon came to the rescue with sound advice and even spoke to the chef. She went above and beyond and want to thank her.

We went on Sunday when only carvery ar £13-99 is available, absolutely awful, the meat was tough and tasteless, vegetables under cooked, the parsnips were inedible, cauliflower cheese tasteless and rock hard,even the gravy was tasteless. The drinks were well over priced too.loads of plates were visible with uneaten food. I would never eat here again.

Food was good, atmosphere was nice service was excellent, Pauline always looking to help and at hand if we needed anything!

Billie was an amazing server, credit to the team. Helpful and attentive.. would definitely come back. Beer was great value too

Not the experience I expected. Food poorly presented. In some cases cold, my wife had to ask for her plate to to be piut in Microwave. Be a long time before I use a Toby Carvery again.

The best Toby breakfast we've had. Hot food, well presented and tasty. Hot water was boiling hot for the tea and coffee. Staff welcoming and helpful. Well done to all the catering staff, thank you for a lovely breakfast.

Food was a low standard mash very close to water bland no taste waited for 10 minutes for parsnips only to be told they would be another 10 minutes overall very disappointing won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it

Good food let down by the 30 minute queue for the carvery, even though we had booked. One server for a busy lunchtime trade is ridiculous. Pork non existent. Turkey skeleton only. We were told on arrival that there was a special offer on if we had downloaded an app….. If there is a special offer on, then the staff should have been increased. Lots of elderly people there. They struggled to stand in the queue. Having said that, the food we got was good. But, please, employ extra, properly trained staff. I don’t think people mind paying for decent service. How to pay was another mystery. No one seemed to be checking.

Everytime we go to this Toby we get a good meal and a good experience. James is so welcoming friendly and chatty at the meat station! All the staff we encounter are always polite and friendly.

Bloddy ridiculous. Shutting the bar at 9.30. Anyone staying at the travel lodge please be aware. Was told this was how it is since covid. A complete lie as we stayed in the travel lodge in November and enjoyed a few nights including a fun trivia night. Not trusting anything they say now

Second week in a row and both weeks the queue was really long. I waited at least 15 minutes. I have never seen this before in other Toby's. Lets start with the positives. Delicious food, as per usual. Cannot fault the meat, the veg etc. My only issue this time was the long queue, the server wiped his runny nose on his arm/hand in front of us and the tables are so close together it's hard to have a conversation with the person/people you are with. Other than that a great plate of food.

Terrible manager!! We ordered garlic mushrooms after several times of asking where they were, they arrived 40 minutes after placing the order and they were barely warm, the manager was extremely rude and very stressed, I said we didn’t want the cold starter and asked her what she would do. She replied ‘oh my god oh my god, I’ll take the mushrooms off the bill! We didn’t want them anyway as they were inedible! The waitress Pauline was very helpful, polite and apologetic, would not recommend this restaurant

Booked a table just to make sure we got a seat on a Sunday. Got our drinks at the bar as we were a little early. It was so busy but the staff were amazing 🤩 . Line for the food appears long but only took 10 minutes. Food was amazing I had gammon and turkey hubby had beef and lamb. All nice and no fat on them. Veg potatoes gravy all lovely and hot even treated ourselves to pigs in blankets. Cold drinks are refillable. All in all an overall good meal and left full and happy 😊

Today myself and family visited as regular customers to be greeted by who we assume was a team leader or manager (wasn’t in uniform) She was extremely rude with a bad attitude and tone. My partner has sarcoidosis (lung disease) and is exempt from face masks but tried his best to use a scarf as a more loose covering to follow the rules and not attract unnecessary attention. We were stopped straight away on entry and were told unless he has a mask we weren’t allowed in as ‘it’s the law’ and a mask is the only face coverings that is allowed. Her tone was completely offensive and unnecessary. She said to go to the corner shop and get a mask if we wanted to eat there. We were completely taken back by her rude attitude and rather than explain about his condition we went to buy a mask which we knew he would struggle to wear Shri hair he did and needed to keep pulling down. We went up for food to be served by 2 chefs. 1 wearing a face mask and 1 wearing a bandanna which clearly isn’t a face mask and acts as a face covering as did the scarf my partner had on. As we were leaving 2 lady’s come in. One wearing a mask and one wearing nothing and not displaying a badge or lanyard to say she was exempt and were led straight to a table. I completely understand the COVID rules and respect them but to be spoken to by someone with such a rude attitude I front of my 9 year old son is completely unnecessary and offensive.

It’s a Toby cavery,,, same old , same old every where you go. ,,, BUT ,,, No.Took my daughter with me yesterday and NEVER AGAIN,,, it’s filthy,,, I cannot believe some people on here return for more,,,,. Yes it’s as cheap as chips maybe even cheaper but this not excuse filth. No carver behind the filthy greasy counter , we waited until the waitress spotted us and shouted upto the bar area fish monger style,,,CHLOE ,, CLO, CLO ,,, can she get a carver,,, soon after a young guy strolls out and apologies for the delay,,,, as I was thinking and wondering what job satisfaction this poor lad was getting as there seems to be no training or cleaning rota. All the surfaces were covered in scraps of food and where it had been wiped you could see all the half cleaned wipe marks. The rack part of the display hasn’t been cleaned or degreased for along time judging by the build up of grime.The meal wasn’t a disaster, the meat was ok , the peas were lovely and fresh but the rest was adverse.Before leaving I popped to the loo Which was an eye opener as obviously there hadn’t been a cleaning check done for several hours. Used loo roll on the floor with the toilet blocked as someone must have had a tad to much turkey. On leaving I wanted to make the staff aware of the state of the toilets ,,, BUT,,, the lady waiting by the bar who saw me coming out of the loo and walk towards her turned on her heel and walked away. This was enough for me and I did the same thing as I was thinking if they don’t care why should I.Never again, as mentioned it’s a cheap lunch but I would have been mortified if I brought people here for a meal.’Surely an area manager has some say on the business of making money and can see this is not the way forward for so many reasons.Guys get your act together‍♂️

Reserved table for 7 of us for a birthday treat the tables not put together. No one came to us to order drinks or food I had to go and ask. Went to get Carvery waited 20 minutes for gravy at the hot counter it was a joke. Beef was really fatty and had gristle through it. Brother in law had a Luke warm sandwich with Luke warm roast potatoes and a dry rock hard cold Yorkshire pudding. We complained to chloe she went to get a manager after about 15 mins a manager appeared moaning it was his day off. He said he was going to investigate it and come back to us , never did , never seen him again waited 20 minutes. You can’t run a business like that. It’s gone downhill since I went about 2 years ago. The pub isn’t very clean either. We thought we would have a change from The Walsgrave but from now on we will go the Walsgrave pub. They could learn a thing or seven off The Walsgrave. Thanks for ruining my daughter in law’s birthday.

Had a lovely breakfast plenty to choice from and also had tea and coffee. The staff where very friendly and helpful.

Having read some of the reviews on here I was a bit sceptical about coming to this Toby but I need not have worried.We had a reservation for thirteen people and upon arrival we were quickly shown to our table and our drinks order was taken straight away. The drinks arrived about five minutes later and we then waited for about ten minutes before going to get our food.New joints of beef and gammon had just been delivered from the kitchen which meant there was a full compliment of meats to choose from. We found all the meat and veggies to be hot and there were no complaints from any of us.After the main course the tables were quickly cleared and our dessert orders taken and these were with us within ten minutes. Many thanks to our server Simone for the service that she delivered and we will be returning in the future.

Well what can i say.If you like raw food this is the place to go. If you like bad service this is the place to go.Its about time pubs like this had checks for badly cooked food and service. And we wounder why pubs are closeing. Dont i repeat dont go to this pub. The one mark at top was to much.

J ust been into the binley park inn to have a few drinks with the family at 9pm on Friday night. Bar completely unattended, staff members outside, someone said they are normally outside smoking. There were five people waiting to served, we waited for long enough, then walked out.

First impressions seemed hectic and not too great. Not all of the meat was out and veggies looked empty. However by the time we got our drinks, the carvery was fully replenished with all meats and veg and we were first in the queue! When we mentioned the missing meats at first to the staff, they seemed very argumentative rather than helpful. The drinks were a disappointment, couldn't make me any of the advertised cocktails apart from 1 which was basically just pink gin, they didn't have the stock to make any others! Ended up with just a J20 The food is what has kept my rating so high!The whole party of 14 people all said how delicious it was! The meat was the star of the show and big portions. All cooked to perfection and tasted great! Usually very fussy with roast potatoes but these were amazing - i had to get more! The macaroni cheese tasted great and all of the other dishes lovely! Plenty of gravy and sauces out. The chefs serving were all friendly and helpfulLovely meal and food - a bit of an update and some customer service training for the female waiting staff would make a whole nicer atmosphere....smile girls :)

What a disappointing Sunday meal. Having looked on the menu online I found a vegetarian option for £7.99 (allotment pie) and booked a table for two. I was impressed on entering that the staff knew our booking was for one vegetarian option. However the vegetables on the carvery were only warm, the parsnips were dry and hard and the pie was a very small portion, overcooked and dry. To make matters worse I was charged £10.29 which was the same price as a near carvery. When I showed the price of booking online I was told that the menus say it is £10.29 and their iPads say £10.29, even the manager said that was the price. I was also told it was the website that was wrong and there is nothing they can do about it. So, I never looked at a menu in the Toby Carvery itself as everything was done online but I did not feel this was customer focussed. I will not return.

Very disappointed in the food and lack of customer service, booked a table arrived 5 minutes early made us wait for a table for 25 minutes. When being seated at the table nobody had told us what we needed to do prior waiting and extra 15 minutes to be served only to find out you just get up and grab your food... WE THOUGHT the service was bad then came the food THE MEAT was awful every piece I had was full of fat the Yorkshire puddings was covered in grease the whole of the meal just tasted stale... WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMING TO THIS JOKE OF A TOBY CARVERY... P.s this has really upset my fiancé was a shocking way to start a new year :)

We are regular customers throughout the year and also on Christmas Day, we have generally always experienced good service and good honest food. All the staff are kind, pleasant and helpful.

So my husband, myself and my 2 year old ATTEMPTED to go here for a carvey. Restaurant was dead but wouldn’t seat us and said they are restocking the meat. My husband is vegetarian so I said ok we will sit and my husband can eat and my daughter can have a bite while you restock! NO was the answer I got, one excuse after another to not seat us or a family before. Disgusting, rude and disrespectful staff. I wouldn’t go here again if it’s the last place open! Ended up at the walsgrave carvey and they were AMAZING

My family has been noshing at this TC for years (and the previous restaurants on this site) and mainly for the carvery which they always enjoy. Yesterday my wife and I tried that eat all you can breakfast and was very impressed. It's a £5 each - tea/coffee extra - and unless you're a moaning type you can't complain. On top of all the usual brekkie items there was also massive Yorkshire puds, gravy and a colcannon-style cabbage and potato fed-up. This is solid, good, no-nonsense food. The coffee is excellent by the way. If you like your breakfast, and don't want to cook it, come here. It probably beats 'Spoons on price too.

I ate here whilst away on business. I had a king size carvery and a refillable Diet Coke. The food was nice for a carvery.The staff were very helpful they told me to download the app and I would get 50% off the bill. So it only came to around £6

Booked a Sunday evening meal at 7 o'clock for after I finished work. Previous visits to the carvery have been good, but not this one.On arrival we were advised that there was only roast pork and gammon available, disappointing as I never usually choose either. So we ordered our drinks and selected our meal from what was available. Halfway through our meal our drinks still had not arrived so I had to find a waitress and reorder. NOT a good dining experience - surely with good management the main ingredients should not run out ! However on positive note on this occasion the roast potatoes and the roast parsnips were excellent. The gravy was nice and thick too.

We had a very lovely lady who greeted us and showed us to our table. That’s were the positive feedback ends. We queued up to select our plates for the buffet breakfast. Nearly everyone was dirty. The hot plate cough guard was disgusting, dirty and rusty. The hot plate itself looks as if it had never been clean. I appreciate we turned up at 10.30am and breakfast stops at 11.00am, however, no baked beans, no mushrooms all the food looked unappetising and I ended up having a few rashers of bacon and some under toasted toast, as I couldn’t wait any longer for my toast. And as an added anomaly Yorkshire puddings and dried up gravy ?? with a cooked breakfast ?The whole place needs stripping out and starting again !The place is filthy ! And if this is what we can see I dread to know the cleanliness of what we can’t see !!I’m amazed Toby Carvery head office haven’t been to inspect this ‘restaurant ‘ as I’m sure the standards here are way below even their basic acceptable standards .

Went for a pre booked family Christmas meal No Christmas atmosphere at all no music no crackers on the table nothing may as well just gone for a normal meal.Pre booked and sent our order though email.Got there to be told only pork being served on the carvery (No Turkey) and had a phonecall 20 minutes before we arrived to be told the two vegetarian meals were not available because of the oven. We sat down and seemed to wait forever for a waitress to come over and start taking our order with a confused expression I asked why are you taking our order if the order has been pre ordered she said it did not come through we couldn't open the attachment.Two questions if they couldn't load up our order 1 how did they know we had vegetarian options on it!? And 2 why didn't they call us and ask us to either tell them over the phone or resend the email?.Just felt we was being lied to and fobbed off with silly excuses that they couldn't back up.Also the situation got so confusing that food we pre ordered wasn't even available the kids got upset because the pigs in blankets we ordered they couldn't have their main meals came at the same time as the kids starters because they suddenly found the kids pre order form.The kids finished their meals before the adults got theirs. Decided I would have a veggie toad in the hole then that wasn't available.Then the original vegetarian option that wasn't available all of a sudden was.Why wasn't food that had been ordered weeks ago available?. Then to top it all off we got told it was free because of all the mess but got to the door to be told we are keeping your 60 pound deposit not free then is it.This is the first time our family have got together for a Christmas meal and it was completely ruined even one member of our group didn't eat at all because of all the mess.We went in August and had a awful meal then and was reluctant to return I now know why and will never return.

Expect little.... can't believe how rude the manager Beth was after both staff members returned from cigarette break and we complained about the un-manned bar.Been here 3 times now and both carvery dinner and breakfast buffets have been poorly stocked and of poor quality.Shame as this is my nearest pub/restaurant but will definitely be giving this place a wide berth from now on!

I recently visited with friends just for drinks started out reasonably well although the staff did look a little unkempt. After a couple of drinks two of our group went to buy a last drink to end the evening but the bar was not attended, after 10 mins we decided to look for a member of staff we even opened the kitchen door to see if we could get some attentionWe were then told that the staff were outside having a cigarette. So we went out side to ask for some service and was told were just finishing our fags. When both ladies returned my friend went to the bar and complained about the service and intended to order further drinks but the staff refused to serve her. We left in disgust and will be telling all locals about the disgusting behaviour of the staff. On top of that they both didn't wash their hands before continuing to serve at the bar after both having a cigarette

This is an absolute lovely place for the traditional carvery on. Sunday. Great choice of meats and lots of choice of trimmings. Was all lovely and hot and up and back to seat in less than 5. Great waitress and cracking customer service. Highly recommend.

Went in as a family and walked out straight away. Food was dry and looked like it needed to go in the bin. Gutted as we just fancied a roast. Shocking Toby Carvery you should be ashamed of what you were serving up tonight.

Visited twice (this was a mistake), as we were staying for 2 nights at the Travelodge next door. The first night we wanted something light but no salads (of any sort) and the ovens had been switched off at 19:20 - hence no Yorkshire wrap. Settled for 2 small roasts, but no gammon. The staff really couldn't be bothered.The second night, no pork or gammon! The staff were over worked but still found time to have their dinner while we waited for service.Asked for the dessert menu but they failed to point out the £1.99 weekday offer we had spotted on our 1st visit. We asked and got!On receiving the bill they had charged us full price for the puds.Overall, the food (they had) was ok but the experience was dreadful.

Quite quiet for a Sunday morning, think the Travelodge uses it for their breakfasts. Had the buffet breakfast, 4.49. it was all a little overcooked, greasy and watery. Didn't enjoy it and wish we'd driven a few mile more to go to a Wetherspoons. Staff were polite though noone looked like they enjoyed their work. There were some loud mouth customers in, but the staff can't help that. Coffee was nice. But the coffee jug labelled "vegetarian gravy" did make us chuckle. Wouldn't go back.

This place was buzzing, the que for the carvery was nearly at the door, with only one chef slicing the meat up. However the 30 minute wait standing in a que was well worth it, the meat was so melt in the mouth tender and the veg was plentiful and hot. The gravey was to die for mmmmm,staff friendly ambiance was good well with a visit but make sure you book first

Me and my husband were out shopping and we thought as was driving past Toby Carvery we would stop for some dinner about 4.30pm we waited about 10 minutes to be seated and then we were asked if we wanted drinks and we said yes and told her what we wanted half the tables were empty I think some of them were reserved for later. We then went to get our dinner still no drinks by the time we had finished our meal we never saw our server again until we went to the till to pay for our meal and my husband said you can take our drinks off as we never received them and all she said was I am sorry I didn't know and yet she was the one who took our order for the drinks how can you not know if your customers didn't have there drinks when you took the order.

Awful customer service. Pre booked a table at 5pm for a table at 8pm only to arrive at 8 to be told they only had beef left. With a whole family who don’t eat beef it was a disaster. Why not at least call your customers to let us know. So cross now looking for somewhere else to eat.

Me and the partner decided to treat ourselves to something a little different to the usual Morissons Cafe or Home Cooked Sandwich for breakfast... and honestly I wish we hadn't bothered.We arrived around 09:00, so not quite peak. Around 50% of the tables were free but noone was there to show you to the table. We milled around for about 5 minutes before asking at the bar. The Bar staff said someone should be there, but if not just go sit down and server yourself.We headed over to the buffet, and began a 20 minute wait to get food. There were around 5 people in front of us, however the layout means you have to queue in turn, even if, say you dont want toast, for people who do want toast to finish getting toast. Copounded by the fact the toaster is powered by the hopes and dreams of the people queueing.And despite being stuck for 10 minutes behind the toast monster when we got to the food we were horrified to find there was no bacon... or Sausage... or Beans.So again, we sit in for another wait and out comes a young woman with a tray of bacon... perhaps 20 pieces... between to 5 people queueing, us 2 and the 6 people behind me... someone is going to be disappointed... As it was, the I was, i forwent my bacon for my partenr. We moved on to the sausages and.... yep none of them either.This was repeated until we go food, i ate my first round (1 bacon stolen off my partner, 2 sausage & beans) and wenty back. Low and behold, we had the exact same again. It was so dishartening that i gave it up and went home.Couple this with a member of staff taking my cup of tea away when i went to go get some more food, the countless screaming and running children and the cost, it was genuinely unpleasent.

Visited today for Sunday lunch at 3.15 & was pleasantly surprised. I’d read reviews & wasn’t expecting much as last visit the food was awful. But surprisingly the food was ok. Meat good & veg fresh & not dried up like the last visit. It was very busy & pretty chaotic, also extremely hot! But for the price the food wasn’t bad. Too crowded for it to a good experience, but at least the food was edible.

I’ve visit the Binley park inn a few times ,sometimes good sometimes poor.i visit last night 31st October with the family at6.30 When we went up for food the carver said come back in 5 minutes for Yorkshire puddings and mashed potatoes when we went back they had Yorkshire puddings but no mashed potato,they said they would bring some over when ready wich they did .The main problem for us was they only had 2 meats left gammon and turkey ,we asked would they be having any more pork they said that was it ,considering it was only 7 pm I thought that was very poor ,the roast potatoes were dried up but the rest of the vegetable were fine ,They need to get there act together as they were sending people away

Visiting friends and stopped in for quick bite, what a disappointment!! 1.30pm and was told no more carvery, but could eat in main bar. No reason given. So found some sticky tables and waited for our friends. Friends arrived and we ordered some drinks then food. This took well over 40 minutes and had to chase even though it was like a ghost town. My wife had a steak pie, which just a small pie on its own no sides dishes, which was burnt and hollow. I had a starter platter which was OK, but all out of the freezer. Our boys had nuggets again this did not come with chips, but you had to order sides all separately. We asked 3 times for Ketchup, but never got it! One of my friends had the chicken salad, which was swimming in vinegar, my other friend had the nacho yorkie. This was meant to be with avocado, chilli, pulled pork and cheese. It came with sliced turkey, gravy and cheese. On complaining the chef came out and said that's what you ordered. We then pointed out to the server the description on the menu to which she said that's not what we have on the kitchen spec, we will report to head office. There was no offer of a refund, knocking money off the bill or anything, just rude unhelpful staff. This was by far the worst place I have ever eaten, I wasn't expecting much anyway, but this was awful. We were planning on going for breakfast as had a Toby carvery one before and it was very good, but on what we just had, not a chance!!

We were a party of 4, and chose to use their carvery and had refillable glasses. The food was scrummy, the staff very helpful, courteous and friendly. We had a brand new waitress on her first night, and she was brilliant, good luck to her for the future. Please do go, you'll not regret it.

0 stars..... Worst experience we’ve ever had at a carvery/pub. As we sat down we were unsure on how the carvery works as some places you need a ticket to get your food. We politely asked the waitress in which we were grunted at and told she would come and take our drinks first. Following this, we went to get our food which was dry, some cold and a very minimal selection. Our table was at 7:30 and you could tell the food at been sat out for a few hours. After finishing we sat with our plates on the table for a while before anything was cleared as we had to call over a waitress to take our dessert orders. Waited OVER HALF AN HOUR for our desserts, before we decided to politely query this. The young boy checked on our dessert, however never came back to apologise or let us know if it was coming. After waiting even longer, I AGAIN politely asked the manager. Our dessert came about 5 mins after this. It was blatantly obvious the food had been forgotten about and chucked in the microwave. It WASN’T what we had ordered and was partly cold, and tasted like water. Brownie you could break your teeth on. We were never checked on after this and it took a very long time to get anyone’s attention to query. I politely asked the waitress if there was anything she could do about the bill due to our situation. She came back and took the dessert of the final bill. We were not happy enough with this as we had 1. Waited way too long for the food 2. It was not what we had ordered 3. It was cold and bland 4. Service was way too slow and some rude 5. We didn’t eat it. The manager was called over to us so I then explained our experience in a calm manner. She referred to taking off the dessert as a ‘kind gesture’ and ‘their way of apologising’. I DO NOT believe this is good enough as not only has our money been wasted but also our time and our evening could have been spent better elsewhere. Toby Carvery please teach your staff basic customer service. We will not be visiting again. 0 stars.

Meal was decidedly ordinary overcooked breakfast fare burned by the heat lamps and neglect of anyone to turn or stir the contents but par for course at such places !!! I decided i needed a coffee so had to wait whilst they noticed and replenished one of the two large jugs on the heaters as staff were scant to ask.I then attempted to find some sweetners which i take in my coffee, now for the rest of the world its 2019 but sub 1920 for the Craven arms !!!, so requested some from manager who replied that they don't do them and never had !!!!My thought would be that you should start or send a nember if staff sharpish round to the shop and get some, but no not in this Toby inn !!!!I contacted Toby inns who similary are as lazy and as ignorant as a teenager, have failed to reply, failed to acknowledge their companies failure in this area, failed to apologise and offer resolution or ask as to my proposal to rectify.This is not the only failing you will find, the outside areas are littered with cigarette butts, fence is falling to bits so watch your children, outside dining would be worse than dining in a pig sty, outside and inside needs a good clean, doors have no stays so disabled persons can keep doors open when entering, manager who is more concerned with her web browsing on laptop and the air of general apathy rather than good customer service or improvement.My advice ......MCDONALDS IS BETTER......AND I HATE MCDONALDS !!!

The food is God damm awful...Coldest carvery I have ever had in my life, nearly 50..poor quality meat, cold veg & rock hard burnt roast potatoes I came today, whist passing,wasnt planned ad hock,wish I had carried on driving past..We go to the stonhouse walsgrave in coventry now and again ,for whats works out slightly more @£8.49 but worth every penny,what a differnce no wonder they are always packed out . If this is there nearest competition, Honestly if you fancy a good quality roast avoid this place or you will regret your choice...It maybe cheap £7.29. But there a difference, barley eat a thing and walked out so how cheap is cheap still wasted my money as the food was undeniable bad. Bet a pound shop roast would be tastier if they fo such a thing. Trust me avoid.

Definitely a very busy restaurant but doesn't mean that it's a good restaurant. Food was cold by the time we sat down at the table after going through the line. Dressing selections area was very sloppy and not clean whatsoever. Several dressings were empty. Think we'll find somewhere else to eat next time.

I visited Toby Carvery today with my daughter and friend and we were promtply seated by a friendly waitress called Billie. She took us to our table and asked if we would like any drinks which were then made and delivered back to the table by the time we had got our carvery. We were offered the choice of having pigs in blankets and im very glad we dis. They were the best pigs in blankets ive had in a long time. Billie was very helpful and friendly and made our party feel really welcome, her service and the food was incredible and we will be returning soon.

Me and my hubby went for lunch today, Welcomed when arrived, showed to our table by very polite and professional staff member. We opted for the Carvery. Meat was well cooked and succulent, veggies were perfect, Lovely veggie bake and macaroni cheese on Carvery as well. Absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be going back. I've never frequented a Toby carvery and it has been on my bucket list for some time (loving a roast dinner!) Sadly my experience was a huge let down....was seated by a waitress who clearly didnt care and gestured toward some food (having not done this before was unsure of "protocol") waited...waited. and waited....eventually a guy in chefs whites appeared and asked what meat I wanted....2 slices later and having self served the rest (fair enough) i sat down to eat what materialised to be a cold roast dinner..the cauliflower cheese was stone cold...the only hot part was the potatoes. .never again...hugely disappointed....would not recommend.

Depite not being particularly busy staff seemed to be stretched and we waited a while to be seated. Orders for drinks and food were taken promptly but then another longish wait for non carvery meals to be served. The carvery is good value for money but vegan options were more limited than the menu suggested - neither the main nor the pudding first choices were available. Would it be possible to offer vegetables that have not been covered in butter as this makes them out of bounds for vegans? Also, probably not a good idea to offer yorkshire pudding to those who donot have milk or eggs in their diet! Perhaps a bit of staff training necessary here?The other thing we found a bit odd was the prevelance of shopper trollies - not something you expect to see in a restaurant.With a few tweaks and attention to detail, the Toby could be a very good lunchtime options but a bit mixed at the moment.

We visited toby and the food was delicious some of the best food we have ever eaten at a Toby! We would definitely come back to this Toby again.

Haven’t been here for a long time... and having poor reviews didn’t help. But what a lovely meal!!Chef had just put out a new turkey and new veg, and it was just delicious, really pleased and impressed. The chef was nice and chatty as he carved, and our waitress (long dark hair tied back) was really chatty and smiley too. It made it a really nice experience. All the food was hot and tasty, and there was a nice variety of veg. Roast potatoes were perfect. Thanks for a lovely meal, we will be back soon.

We were moving my daughter back to Uni and after a hard day fancied a ready cooked meal without the hassle of a takeaway! Toby Binley answered all the above. The service is self-service, so not much to say there. The food was plentiful and at 6.99 a head an absolute bargain. Tables were clean and cleared quickly. The main carvery was so good pudding went to the wayside as we were all full.

So after being to this place many times before, could someone tell me what the hell has happened to the place, waited to be seated for nearly 15 minutes, 2 staff walked past us at least 5 times not a word from either of them. When someone finally decided to take us to a table in a near empty eating area, she decided to tell us their will be a 25 minute wait as no gravy???? Use to enjoy the roast at the Toby but with staff like that we will find somewhere else from now on.

Ordered an online delivery. Gravy delivered in coffee cups and leaked all over cups and bag. Macaroni pasta in all meals, dont bother choosing what meat you want because your going to get what ever they have based on the 6 meals I’ve just had delivered. Very disappointing Toby.....

.Although service was a bit slow getting food served , the lady carving the meat did her best...despite the que on wed afternoon ...she disappeared for a while to get a fresh joint ..think they may b short staffed in kitchen?...the waiting staff here are excellent and very friendly,and so helpful,our waitress was Pauline who could not have been nicer...hence the 4stars ...food was lovely especially the roast potatoes my personal favourite...

We were taken here for a midweek lunch and there were no queues for carvery, the food was fresh, the chef was able to tell us which veg had been served with butter (a colleague is lactose intolerant) without hesitation. The prices are great, the place was clean. The pub is very warm and it can be stifling and the staff at the bar made us feel like they wished we hadn't walked in (sighing). It wasn't a massive drinks order and we didn't order drinks that took any real effort. A smile would have been better but the drinks were right.

Visited the Carvery today with my friend after a difficult and stressful day. We were greeted bt a very smiley and smart dressed member of staff who led us to a table and got us seated. She was very professional and attentive to my needs and did her best to answer my many questions. Pauline is a credit to the team at Toby Carvery Binley and i will definatly be returning.

We came to visit on a Friday afternoon in the holiday for the Kids eat for £1 offer. We were showed to are seats straight away and headed straight to the carvery, We had to wait a few minutes for the chef but once he arrived he was very friendly. As it was late in the lunch serving there wasn’t much meat left but we really enjoyed what we had.The Yorkshire puddings were lovely. We were going to have a pudding but no one came to clear are plates so we gave up and went to hunt for a member of staff for the bill.All in all, The food was nice and for £11 altogether was great value. The staff were very friendly albeit a little absent.We would go back again however.

Just had breakfast on Saturday morning and kids eat for £1. Perfect. Value for money and friendly staff. Recommended.

The worst and most awful Toby Carvery!!! Was told four times someone would be with us when we arrived. We were seated and they forgot our drinks, the waitresses were so unorganised it was untrue! It wasn’t even busy!! There were people drinking and leaving glasses in the car park and kids were running around like they were in a zoo! The meat was being cut and thrown on your plate, customers shouting out hello to the chef when he wasn’t there and not being acknowledge! I know it’s cheap but where’s the customer service and standards! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!

It was my first time at Toby’s and i was really looking forward to it . Heard so many good things about it through friends and family . So i went on a sunday with my family , to begin with the guy at the reservation pod didnt seem pleased looking at us , probably because we arent native to the 99.9% customers present there. Anyways , he was a bit grumpy and told us to wait at one side of the bar while he suddenly had a grand smile on for the next customer at back of us ! Infact he took them straight to their table . We stood for 15 minutes and when I finally asked him about my table , he got annoyed and rudely said that it will be available at the time you reserved !!!! After another 10 mins , he took us to the table . It was a busy day and the queues were big for the carvery . When we went to get some meat , it was cut as if there was a competition to cut the thinnest portion of the meat to win a holiday in LA !!! Anyways , got our veggies and finally sat down . They say you can go for more veggies if you like , but trust me they dont want you to . I went up to a staff and asked her that should i join the queue again to get veggies or can i just hop on to the veggies to get some as that makes sense , why would i stand in the queue again when people are waiting to get the meat . But seems like she was not in a good mood and said you will have to stand in the queue again !!!!!! I was like , makes no sense . When i went in the queue , the guys serving the meat said , why am i in the queue? And told me to hop straight to the veggies !!!!! Staff are absolutely clueless. I felt really awkward and embarrassed . I cant understand a simple thing , if you say you can take more veggies, why dont keep the veggies counter opposite the meat counter for people to go help themselves for more , after all you are charging a exorbitant price of nearly £10 pp with the tax . Anyways , my overall experience was poor , didnt feel welcome for starters , staff pick and choose who to treat well . The only person who was non biased and brilliant was the girl who took care of our table , she was smiling , welcoming and maintained the same positive attitude with all customers. A restaurants foundation is its staff and if the staff are so laidback and biased in their attitude , then i am sorry , people will never go back . Absolute below average value for your money . Sad !!!! A good sunday meal ruined .

I came here today for a Sunday roast but it was terrible, I couldn’t eat the food and when I complained I spoke to the manger who was very helpful.

Visited here several times now and it’s always a great place to come. The new veggie options are brilliant so thank you ! Partner had the normal roast carvery and I had the Brie and broccoli bake with the carvery vegetables. Even when it’s busy, all the staff work so hard and the guys at the pass are super polite and helpful. Even to an awkward veggie... the carving guy even offered to wash his hands before handling my plate. Something I had never been offered anywhere else. He was flat out busy, with a queue, but you still felt like a respected customer. Our food was lovely, serving dishes were full of fresh and hot vegetables and having the option of vegetarian gravy is always welcomed.Our waitress (didn’t get her name, but she was expecting) was absolutely brilliant. Whoever finds and trains the staff - keep up the good work. We’ll be back again and again.

We visited this Toby Carvery yesterday with a 40% voucher. The food was excellent and the service was brilliant our waitress “Rennee” (that’s what our receipt says) couldn’t do enough for us. She was so attentive and helpful. Myself and my partner had the roast turkey and it was so soft it melted in our mouths, the veggies were good too maybe could have broccoli as that’s my fav but for the choice it had a different range. The visit as a whole was nice and I would return again.

Best carvery, friendly staff, brilliant service and fantastic food, would highly recommend eat in or takeaway.

I have recently been to the Toby with my wife for a meal. I pre booked a table for 13:00. On arrival we stood several minutes waiting to be shown to our table. Eventually a lady who was serving on the bar said we would have to eat in the bar area - even though I pointed out we had reserved a table. Once I reminded the staff again the two of us were given a table for six. We ordered the unlimited refill soft drinks as we were driving. I noted the cutlery was dirty (see photo)We went to ask for our carvery meat and stood again for almost ten minutes waiting to be served. I asked a cook who was topping up trays of vegetables what was happening and he said the chef will be here soon. He vanished and left us stood like fools until we were eventually served. We both had Yorkshire puddings with our meat but these had been sat under a heat lamp for too long and were like eating crisps as they had dried out. There was a good selection of vegetables although the carrots were way under cooked and very crunchy.We ate the rest of the meal but it was very poor compared to other Toby Carverys.At the end of our meal I had to go to the bar to pay for the meal as the machine in the restaurant was not working.In my opinion the restaurant was really lacking enough staff to offer a decent service.When we left the restaurant I was surprised to see members of staff sat outside smoking !!

Good value food and the staff were really friendly, including the bar manager, the chefs and especially our waitress, Jordan. Meat was good quality. I love their yorkies and a good selection of veg too. The only downside is that the place is looking a little rundown but nothing a small makeover couldn’t fix.

A really lovely carvery lunch including a nice large yorkshire pudding and plenty of choice of vegetables. There were also plenty of sauces to chose from and great gravy. The sweet menu is also fairly large as was the portion size. My only criticism of the food is that there was possibly less meat than is usual at a carvery and the food wasn't hot, it was only just about warm.A few things that slightly spoiled the visit are as follows. I try to avoid using the toilets as others in my group don't think they are up to scratch. When tables are cleaned crumbs end up on the chairs. When serving coffee it really is best to put the cup on a saucer rather than on a plate.

Four of us went at 12 noon, very nice Carvery apart from the lamb which was under cooked. One point we were charged Sunday prices even though it was just a normal bank holiday, not over Christmas or new year?When asked the staff were not being paid extra for the bank holiday Monday?We thought for what it was that it was over priced.

We decided to give this place a try and in hind sight I wish we hadn't. First issue was when we phoned up to reserve a table they ended up sending a confirmation text for the wrong day. The carvery food was average, the meat was dry and bland. They had no salad cream for the salad when asked, the cutlery was dirty and discussing which deserts to have was a waste of our time as we were told that the ice cream machine for the sundaes etc was out of order due to the handle being broken for the last 5 days ! The Lemon tart was also out of stock. We gave up with desserts after that.I decided to write this review, as I'm now suffering with diarrhoea and wanted to warn others of our experience there. The only good thing I can say is that the young girls serving us were polite and did a swift service, it's just a shame that they work for such a dismal unmanaged place!

We visited here this weekend with friends.. fab service from the moment we arrived, food was lovely all looked fresh and really tasty.What made our visit was the chef carving behind the deck..charming and polite and quite handsome too ladies.. he was clearly enjoying his job.We will definitely be visiting again soon, thank you Toby Binley

We attended Binley Toby Inn and had one of the best carvery meals. Meat was carved nicely and was very well cooked. Veg etc were amazing along with the service. We found online booking was good as there was no waiting for our table. Thank you for an enjoyable time.

After returning from an Easter weekend away we decided to stop off on the journey home for a carvery. It was really busy so we decided to get a takeaway one. The roast potatoes were tasteless all three of the Yorkshire puddings were completely inedible they were like stones! One of the beef dinners was mainly chunks of fat. Very disappointed over £30 for 3 dinners wasted, money and the food was basically thrown away. Thumbs down from me

Classic Toby Carvery, disappointed with the lack of vegetables however the food was fresh and tasty. There was kids running round screaming and crawling on the floors which isn’t great when you’re trying to eat. The service from the waitress is average, would only recommend purely for the love of the food.

Went for lunch with a family gathering as it was where my Aunt wanted to go.It was DEFINITELY not my choice!!!! Still not up to scratch I am afraid. food was lukewarm except for the Roast Spuds, and although the staff do their best, they are fighting a loosing battle. Will not return by choice

Thought we would catch a bite to eat enroute to the theatre in Coventry. Seeing the Toby sign we expected it to be the reasonable and usual standard that we expect.How wrong we were!!The only positive we can say is that the staff were friendly and extremely helpful as they worked in dire, dirty and dismal surroundings.The vegetables at the carvery were either vastly over cooked or verging on raw. The floor around the carvery was certainly a risk having been made very slippery with dropped food and had been ignored by staff/servers. My plated meat was either made up of fat or gristle and certainly the smallest portion I have had at a Toby.The gravy station was continuously refilled whilst no-one wiped the surfaces resulting in a very messy, sticky uninviting area.As we ate out meal we became aware that the whole place could greatly benefit from maintenance, decorating and a deep clean.Behind the radiators were stuffed with dirty napkins, papers and general debris.On visiting the toilets before our escape my wife found the ladies toilets filthy, doors missing locks, badly maintained, no sign of a maintenance sheet.We remain shocked that Toby have put their name to this establishment. In hindsight we would have much preferred to have gone hungry and passed by. We don't recommend anything about this establishment.

Food was fantastic, hats off to the chefs for great banter and great food. Waitresses gave fantastic service, especially with how busy it was. Will definitely recommend and will use again. Keep up the good work.

Not very clean food selection not desirable like it used to be. Dirty cutlery and plates. Got served meat to my child that was bleeding. Won’t be back stock to Stonebridge they just seem to get it right. Chef staff not the best however waiter staff good.

Went for a quiet catch up with a friend we always have a drink and a dessert.This visit thete was a lack of customer service no pleasantries what so ever. Staff were loud and rowdy amongst one another very unprofessional. Also looked scruffy and untidy.Desserts were below average, cold and looked frozen not home baked!! Previously amazing will not be returning.Did not complain to staff seemed to be no point they were not bothered about customers also as a customer I do not want to spend my evening out with friends complaining to staff about their service.
