Kelly the waitress was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She was extremely welcoming and polite. Such amazing service made all the difference. Wonderful and so polite !!

We moved here after leaving the Harvester after just ordering drinks and was offered a table immediately. Food was first class and really friendly and attentive staff. Definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area and fancy meat and veg food.

Meat was cold, mashed potatoes were cold, roast potatoes were cold, cabbage was cold, even the gravy was cold. The only thing hot was the over cooked carrots! The server was really helpful and drinks were fine. Clearly no one cares about the food quality here and NEVER check the food temperature as the gravy is kept separately to the food and even that was cold! Sometime you can warm your food suitable with hot gravy but when they can’t even get that right, there’s no hope. What a total and utter waste of money!!!

Today we went out for a meal for my fathers birthday. There was nine of us including a teenager and a 7 year old. The menu had lots to chose from. We had a couple of platters to share, while some of the adults had carvery and said it was the best they have ever had. What made this a 5 star review was how we were served. The waitress was called KELLY, she had the energy and enthusiasm of an individual you would chose to have in your own business. I wish we could have bottled her up and taken her with us!! She was fun and friendly and couldn’t do anymore to help us while we had the most memorable experience ever. Kelly is amazing 5 gold stars from us because of you!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We came here whilst staying at a local hotel and really great value and our young son ate well too! Parking space and easy to choose from the buffet with huge Yorkshire puddings!

We visited the restaurant on Sunday 18th July wth my husbandm two teenagers and my Mum for her birthday. Our waitress Kelly was amazing, so cheerful, nothing was too much trouble, we have visited a few Toby restaurats and this was by far the best down too the comfort, service, piping hot, delicious food, greaat location with plenty of outside seating and free car parking, all staff were so friendly and helpful, but above all our waitress Kelly was absolutely fatastic, a real asset to the restaurant,made our day we will definitely be returning!!

Absolutely gorgeous food so much nicer than it used to be all new staff and management which has made it so much better the food was hot and so fresh quick and easy service. we all cleared our plates and all staff were so happy and cheerful which made it that extra bit special the staff were also very helpful nothing was to much for them especially our waitress Kelly. Would rate this a 10/10

We came here for a quick bite to eat after a long journey and I felt like I was being welcomed home. The staff were nothing short of amazing! So attentive and kind. We really appreciated the warm and lovely service after what had been a really long day.

The lady that met me at the door needs to work on her welcoming! I had booked a table for 8pm, however arrived at the restaurant for 7.18pm. Informed the lady and her reply, "You're 43minutes early!"I explained, "Just drove down from Liverpool and I thought it best to book a later table, just incase we hit traffic issues on 200 mile drive!"Her reply, "I should have booked for 7pm!"When she realised I wasn't impressed with her attitude, she walked away to check if she had a table! Returned within 15 seconds to escort us to a table!Our server was Phoebe, who was absolutely excellent and I couldn't fault her at all! Pity the restaurant was let down with first impression!As we were staying in the Travelodge attached to the restaurant we thought we would go for the advertised breakfast!Pointless, seeing as the restaurant was not open, though there was nothing to indicate that it would be closed? Oh before I forget, our Roast on the Sunday evening (04 July) was very good

Would have turned into a bad experience with a rude lady seating us - we were about to leave until I think it was Kelly who asked us if we wanted some drinks and the wife and I said to each other we recognised her from the Watford Toby which is where we wanted to go in the first place as we always found the service there better. Thank you Kelly ( if that’s your name which was on the receipt) for looking after us there wasn’t an option to leave a tip so I’m leaving a review, food was great Waiting staff and kitchen staff was polite with exception to the one who seated us. well done guys - sundays are not an easy day it being so busy but you guys always had a smile Thanks x

All the problems with this Toby carvery is down to poor management. No one lasts here because the manager is too arrogant to do any work himself and employs low quality staff paid peanuts.

Booked a table for breakfast at 10.45am. When we arrived a young girl was serving. I informed her we had booked and she asked me to wait at the table near the entrance. After 5 minutes we were still not seated. A more experienced lady came to our rescue and seated us and gave us tea and apple juice. We went to the buffet and not much food was there. The lady got the chef to make more for us and two others as well. Due to the lack of breakfast available and the long wait for the food to be cooked we were very kindly offered free breakfast by Kelly who diffused the situation as my husband had enough and was ready to leave. Kelly gave us great customer service which is sadly lacking these days in a lot of establishments. Kelly you are a credit to this company. We often go to Toby Carvery when we go to Borehamwood so no doubt we will be back in the future !!!

Server Kelly is absolutely outstanding at her job, warm, friendly and welcoming. Knows her job inside out and should be recognised as an essential team member. We look forward to coming again and being served by Kelly again 😊

Yet again another amazing takeaway meal from the Oakland’s Toby Carvery Borehamwood the manager is absolutely brilliant really lovely and really made sure I was looked after. Incredible service, incredible manager and amazing meal 5 stars highly recommended Will definitely be coming back!!

Come here on a regular basis and always guaranteed a good meal and great service. In particular, our favourite waitress Kelly. Always friendly, always a smile on her face (which is contagious) always lovely!

Staff worked really well under pressure, my table mixed up the bookings and they sorted it out perfectly, our waitress Kelly was excellent! So friendly and kind. 10/10

Firstly its been months since my last visit So I was really looking forward my first visit this year. As always the food was delicious, I had the beef with all the trimmings. You have a choice Beef Turkey Gammon Yorkshire pudding ( very Large). All kinds of veg. and potatoes. That was me stuffed. But you can go back for pot and veg many times as you like. If you are still not full. You can have deserts. One thing Borehamwood Carvery have is Kelly. She's very bubbly and lovely person. She's very helpful. She wizzes around like a rocket. If you go. You will no its Kelly. Great Parking also. And the chef's very nice indeed. Enjoy

First meal back indoors and we went for lunch here as we've missed it! Had a great meal and although the social distancing restrictions mean it's not the same as usual, our waitress Kelly ran around getting everything for us and making sure we had a lovely time. We'll be back again soon.

Had a very enjoyable visit to Toby’s just after the second lockdown. This was the first visit to this restaurant after re-locating to Borehamwood. Nice food, great service and especially Kelly made it very enjoyable. Would recommend.

Had a really good breakfast at the Toby in Borehamwood. Was served by friendly gentleman on the carvery counter who was very welcoming. Food was yummy and overall service was good.

The festive menu is definitely worth a try. As well as the usual carvery which offers 4 meats so well presented by Tomas the kitchen manager; the Turkey stack is awesome!! Followed by the Gingerbread Sundae with rum it really makes it a treat worth trying at Xmas. The staff who work there are a credit to Toby. Ashleigh, Charley and Kelly are very attentive and friendly, work very hard and put the customer first. We will definitely be going back there again. Cheers Colin and Debbie.

This is very conveniently situated right next door to the Travel Lodge. We had dinner there just before the second lockdown and all covid precautions were in place. Very friendly staff and great food, all in a safe environment.

This is my first time attending this restaurant and this is by far my most favourite Toby!The customer service is outstanding and I’m gutted that I live too far to be here every week!Kelly was an absolute delight, her enthusiasm and caring nature was lovely and I had the best experience here today.

Great food and really brilliant service from our waitress Kelly and Carvery chef George. Great value food, really tasty. Kelly’s communication was first class making sure we knew she had seen us and telling us when she would be back to us and why. Always fun and smiling. George behind the counter was really nice and had great jokes with our children. Both of them made our evening meal! We had one problem with some overcook pigs in blankets and we didn’t even have to mention it kelly took one look at them left on the plate and knew that it was a problem and made sure we were not charged for them. She is the epitome of what customer service should be. (This place really has upped its game over the last 18 months, even the toilets which are a bit tired we’re clean and smelt so fresh. Top marks to all the staff. )

Awful customer service by FOH only good part about the visit was the food and jack and Steph behind the cook line. The drinks took about 20 minutes to come had finished my food before they come and they tasted awful the lemonade was flat and they didn’t change our drinks overall an awful visit also the manger was very unprofessional and rude

Lovely experience, the food was great and during such a difficult time the staff showed such kindness and care for their customers. Kelly was extremely helpful and very bubbly made the atmosphere a happy place to be in. And David made sure all of our needs were met. Would definitely recommend visiting.

Came for a nice sunday dinner and loved it! The food was brilliant and so were the desserts. They even made one from scratch as we didnt know a dessert wasn't on the menu. We go to the carvery every week, its brilliant the food is lovely the staff are amazing so friendly and helpful . We have been to other pubs and restaurants but none have the great atmosphere thet the carvery has , would highly recommended.

My self and work colleagues visited the restaurant while working away. it was amazing experience and the food was delicious, thanks to the chef Ashley, But mainly Charlie and darcy really made our experience with fantastic waitress service. Anything we needed it was there. They are a credit to the company and deserve promotions, pay rises or bonuses. We are working away down the area for 18 months and will definitely be making a weekly a visit. People WITHOUT SMARTPHONES cannot eat or drink at this restaurant. This place gets WORSE with its arrogant rude young wet behind the ears staff...who speak broken english with absolute disdain to customers. The worst management ever encountered. COVID IS NOT AN EXCUSE!

In Toby Calvary Stan-way. They were understaffed and very slow. There was dirty plates left on lots of tables.The breakfast was cold so we had to send it back and we did then get a fresh breakfast which was lovely and hot. Because of the lack off staff no staff asked us if we wanted any more drinks or a refill therefore we was left with empty cups.

Went to Toby's for the first time in my life. As a vegetarian going on vegan it would be a strange place for me to try.However I believe supporting places that offer vegan options encourages more vegan options. Also it gives meat eaters a chance to opt for non meaty food.I had the vegan sausage roll. It was lovely. As I didn't want to visit the carvery station and thus the wait staff kindly filled my plate with all of the veggie sides. Toby's didn't have vegan gravy and this the wait staff kindly brought cranberry sauce and ketchup for us.For dessert I had the apple, blackcurrant and cranberry crumble with vegan custard. All of the food was super yum!!

Me en the family decided to go out for a nice meal, Unfortunately it was ruined by the lack of staff, respect, and trying to overcharge us, when it got to the point of paying the bill I went up to the bar noticed a large stocky man, Funny he had a little white powder under his nose when I questioned him he went behind to get "ice" and when he came out surprised surprised his nose was as clean as anything, I questioned him again as this is a family pub, why would someone be under the influence while working, his response was "I don't know what your in about,hopefully he won't be working there much longer

I have been coming to the borehamwood carvery for a long time mainly on Sundays but more often then not it was dissapointing. Either the food was cold, certain dishes weren’t ready or available, the que was around the restaurant the food station was always messy and dirty and majorly understaffed. I have now been back twice since lockdown and I have to say there’s been a massive turn around and huge improvement in every department. The food was delicious, meat cooked to perfection, so many options available, Yorkshire puddings just amazing, the government guidelines are met with the social distancing which is reassuring, the restaurant is clean and the staff are helpful and pleasant. Christina my waitress was so welcoming and friendly, the chefs are cheerful and interact great and the new manager seems to be doing a great job at turning the restaurant around which it desperately needed. Will be going back for my regular Sunday roasts

I made the mistake of booking this Toby Carvery for my family Christmas dinner. To say it's probably one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to is an understatement. We were shown a seat one of our crackers was already pulled. After 15/20 mins we asked to order drinks as we were completely ignored. Starters took over 45 minutes to come. The soup was cold and came with a tea spoon. The carvery was cold and dry. The deserts came after another 44 minute wait after asking for them 3 times. Waitress trying to serve us was sweet but overstretched. The whole place was just a shambles no one knew what was happening. It completely ruined our Christmas and I am so disappointed in the whole experience. Management take no ownership whatsoever everything is someone else's fault. McDonald's would have been a better option! Stay well away from this place.

First time we have been back since lockdown very impressed by the cleanliness. staff were great at explaining the new way of service .This was the best meal we have ever had here .Amanda our waitress was very efficient

Had an excellent meal here today. Lots of covid precautions and super friendly carvery counter staff. However the true star was kelly. She was helpful knowledgable and got the kids meals sorted effortlessly. All thought portions were great too. Would recommend.

Really impressed with our recent visit. We booked a Monday lunch. It was the last day of the eat out to help out. I expected it to be chaos but it was very orderly and extremely well organised. We hardly waited at all and the staff were excellent. Really polite and attentive. The food was fabulous and plentiful and the value was unbeatable. Well done, Toby. Will return!!!

it's been a long time since I visited this restaurant due to poor service and food being could but I was told it has been improved so we gave it another go everything was alright till it came to our dessert the waiter gave us a menu and told us what was available he returned and I asked for this desert and in an abrupt way said I told you what was available and I will tell you again we both ordered the cheesecake when it arrived it was still frozen and he took it away and I had the apple pie, this waiter has definitely got attitude problems and is in the wrong job

First visit to a Toby Carvery since Covid-19, and the experience was mixed. Very good service by our waitress Kelly, but she was clearly overworked and had little support (she was non-stop serving).Food was overall OK. One of us had the carvery and the other a bap (they didn't have tomato, lettuce or mayo though, but managed to conjure up a good alternative, even if it did take a while to arrive).Without Kelly, the overall score would have been a lot lower. She's testament to the team and helps make a mediocre (and dated) visit feel personal still and was thoughtful throughout. Give her a day off and get some more staff to ensure other guests have better experiences!

Kelly welcomed us with open arms (we had been there the week before) we we’re seated at a safe distance from other customers. The Chef was helpful and entertaining, he had another helper for the vegetables.....we think they should definitely keep this as a permanent thing as nobody becomes greedy and fills there plates high then leaves it so the food is wasted.....plus we can always go back for more vegetables....Food as usual was delicious meat cooked to perfection.....plus a good variety of vegetables. Well done everyone. Stay positive and safe everyone.

What a great improvement here since my previous visit in October which was a shambles. Hot Carvery food served by polite and friendly chefs a really lovely server Louisa who was happy friendly and attentive.And the icing on the cake was the amazing low price thanks to the half price scheme. Well done to the management for getting things done for the better. We look forward to returning soon

This is was our first time eating out since everywhere reopened, the staff made us feel relaxed and explained how everything was working straight away, really putting us at ease. We were served at our table by Kelly and our Dinners by George & Sam - all three staff members were helpful, polite, cheerful and creating a great, happy atmosphere, even while clearly being extremely busy! They make a great team and made our visit more enjoyable, we will definitely be back again :)Thank you for excellent service!!

First proper meal out since covid. The way they dealt with the problem of social distancing is amazing also the food was excellent and the staff very cheerful and friendly has calmed any fears about going out to eat again.

Kelly met us at the door and explained with enthusiasm all about the new changes to the way we got our food. The young man who was serving our Carvery was welcoming cheerful and tutoring a new member of staff who gave us our vegetables and was also cheerful and polite. The food was absolutely delicious the meat was cooked to perfection and so many vegetables which was fantastic. The overall service was excellent. The food in this establishment is only overshadowed by the kindness of the staff. Waitress Kelly and Chef Sam were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was lovely. The meats were all fresh and tasty. I eat out a lot....but there is no better feeling than coming into this Toby. The staff work so hard from front of house to the bar and yet are always welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. I am so pleased to have seen it busy tonight. Also the vegan options are really good (I took three vegans here last week and they were impressed with the main and dessert choices!) Staying at the adjacent Travelodge, Toby was a natural choice for a relaxed, effort-free dinner.A welcoming, safety-focussed welcome. I'd not booked ahead, and the restaurant was full of 50%-off government scheme diners - like me. So I was seated in the bar area, which was fine, placing my order at the bar.My chilled pint of bitter was spot-on, on this warm summer evening. I'd opted for a bap-full of turkey and gammon, with a cheese and bbq sauce. With baked potatos and a side of miniature pigs in blankets. Real comfort food, and I felt totally full after that. (Not sure if I could have subbed for some veg, but next time I'll try, because tasty as it was, it was a rather heavy meal - my fault of course.)Good seating inside and out, nice staff, and amazing 50% off, as it was a Monday.Decor is tired, a bit scruffy, and the food is average at best, but it lived up to expections. Large tarmac car park outside, level access, tv sport inside the bar area.

I came here with my partner and daughter for a nice early lunch and was pleasantly welcomed and served by Kelly, who took very good care of us all. Even down to the carver himself, Sam. He was very informative and took the time out to talk to us during our visit. Will definitely be coming back

This was our first time eating out since lockdown. They have removed half the tables to spread everyone out, and our server (Kelly) was wonderful at reassuring us and keeping us safe. The food was good, service slower than normal because the chef now does everything for you - but I'd rather it be slow and safe. A great first meal out!

The chef (George) was great serving the children and interacted great with them, under the current strict situation New rules. Our waitress Kelly was also very helpful. Me and my partner decided to go out for dinner on Sunday, the service we received was amazing, firstly we were introduced to our waitress Louisa, who couldn’t do more to help us, she was so polite, lovely and had so much time for us, nothing we asked seemed to be an issue. Louisa explained the new rules that have been put into place since lockdown, me and my partner highly Recommend this Toby Carvery food was delicious will defiantly be back :)

I moved to london from Wales swansea / Cardiff city's and alwayes used to hate Toby carvery as staff were sometimes not helpful waited so long to be seated to be told no tables on Sundays or in weekdays u would be waiting on doors to be served or even acknowledged u were waiting u got served eventually to get hard and biteie veg and tastles food I was disappointed with service in wales and found ide never eat there again. Since moving to London I got a 25% discount to come try toby carvery at Oaklands borehamwood North london i said to my family lets go and see if its any different to wales and ventured out to check it out. We was greeted by the loverly waitress whom spoted us at door came straight over to meet and greet us we were taken to our tables and told the new laws and regs and the prosses of of how everuthjngbworkd here due to changes due to covid 19. We were greated with a smile and had a waitress by the name of Kelly I noticed this on her how did we do card amdnomnthe receipt of service and she kindly also said im Kelly im your waitress for your table today and was so fun to have around. We were then greeted by the chef and carver whom also made our stay so welcome havingbthe chef come over asknif everything was OK with meals we were delighted to see the chef keeping food fresh and hot and removing old food and cleaning around food areas and workstations such a change as many leave it a mess and dont bother with hygiene. It was a pleasure seeing the chef after serving wash and hand sanatise his hands and after doing thjs sort allnstaffbout to make sure everything was prepared and ready for service. The staff at this resturant have madebmebfell so welcome i will be reunited with my new resturant place to eat I would like to say a huge congratulations to the kitchen staff and the other staff at the resturant for there kind hard work helping to keep everyone safe in lockdown and takin the time to make us fell so proud to be apart of the toby carvery brand again the chef Sam was totally amazing and his crew and wanted to shout out to trip adviser to say to everyone thjs isna must place to go and eat kitchen is spotless of what I.cojld see of it from the carver entrance. I will definitely advise on visiting this place of dining so u can experience the amazing customer experience and everyone made us all fell special and at home just want to sY to the management u have a good waitress in kelly whom served us make sure all your waitresses are alike as she seamed the only one doing anything in the resturant part would ove been nice to meet a few more faces to say hello etc. Imaculate place to eat and wellbdkne once again staff and to top it off toilets were smelling nice and fresh and looked clean well dlne cleaners also keep this up as hygiene is important. watch thjs space ill be back inmover 1 mounth to leave another reveiw and hope I can say the same as the first time around. And to those who are ummin and arring wherever to venture out to eat here i say go go do it and experience what we experienced when we first visited ide rate this 10 out ove 10 and will be returning. Thanks to kelly and Sam and all his team at Oaklands. If I could give out baffters or oscors I would pleasure to dine with once again thank you to everyone whom made our evening special.

Me and my friend came today for a carvery. Lovely food, staff were welcoming and happy and kept everyone safe maintaining social distancing :)

Amazing place brilliant workers espcially kelly loved it from the moment we arrived we were greeted kelly totally made me and my partner feel at home. And Sam who is in charge of the kitchen and cooking the carvery the meat is stunning and everything else really value for your money i would recommend this place to anyone who loves roast dinners on a weekday or seven days a week lovely service

Excellent COVID-19 measures in place. Clean, spaced out and all very calm and pleasant. Chefs serve all food, including veg. Drinks brought to table. Staff were helpful and clearly communicated the new protocols. Kelly was excellent - friendly & professional.

we came today to eat for the first time since we have been in lockdown. The environment is controlled, the numbers of visitors managed, the food completely handled by the chef only so no customers can touch the food. The food and pudding was really good and the service from Kelly was outstanding. Kelly really did serve us professionally, kindly and cateted for our table of children, adults and a baby. Very impressed. They have improved massively. Well done Toby Carvery.

Il Carvery offre la scelta a buffer di 3 differenti carni e una vasta varietà di contorni di verdura fra cui piselli, cavolfiori, carote, broccoli e le immancabili patate arrosto. Il concetto è valido e buon mercato, quindi prezzi relativamente bassi con un buon equilibrio qualità prezzo. Il menù offre altre alternative fra cui antipasti, altri main course e dolci. Essendo questa una catena di franchising, ognuno di questi Toby dovrebbe offrire lo stesso standard qualitativo, infatti la sede di Watford è di gran lunga superiore in termini di qualità e servizio rispetto a questo di Borehmwood. Per ben tre volte facciamo fatica ad assaporare il manzo o beef che sorprendentemente è già esaurito alle 19.00 e non c'è stato modo di convincere lo chef e il manager di cucinare altro. In altri termini devi necessariamente servirti di tacchino e maiale anche se non è gradito. Servizio pessimo, approssimativo, non professionale e a tratti amatoriale del tutto fuori luogo. Pulizia che lascia molto a desiderare: tavoli lasciti sporchi per ore, moquette non curata e sporca che necessita di essere pulita.Il concetto è unico nel suo genere ma gestito molto male.

We went for an family evening meal while on a weekend away. Two of us had carvery and two children's meals, one of us had the large carvery which came with extra sausages, they didn't have them on the counter at the time so was told they would be brought to the table after, they were finally brought about 15mins later when the meal was all eaten. One of the children ordered beans with there meal but when the food came out the beans weren't on the plate they said they would be brought to the table after, they also came after the meal was eaten.

This particular branch of Toby is a family favourite. The food is always great and there is a nice atmosphere. On this occasion we were served by George for hot food and Kelly was our server, and both staff members were absolutely amazing. Their exceptional service made such a difference to our day and we would like to thank both of them for their time and positivity today.

Our second visit to this in a few weeks as we have tickets for a recording of a show at Elstree studio. Ideal for a lunch and very close to the studios. Staff have been very good on both occasions, although it is very quiet, and have made sure we are happy with everything. My wife is gluten free and the carver, when told, not only went through her options and then washed his hands again before touching her plate (very impressed). The food is good, normal Toby standard and the server has looked after us. Would recommend this place.

Been to this Toby a good few times, food is great. Staff are fantastic especially Kelly and Victor. Will definitely be back when I’m next in the area.

Have been here before and always had a good meal but today was excellent. Food was hot and fresh. Was served my Amanda who was very polite and welcoming. Will be back again soon.

Visited Toby’s in Borehamwood one Sunday and we were served by Kelly, she was really friendly and jolly amid a really busy Sunday afternoon! Keep that smile girl!

The food is great and the staff are super friendly, especially Kelly who looked after us from the moment we stepped in the restaurant. There is a Travelodge next door though there are still sufficient parking for those who’d be driving through. The venue itself is spacious, clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend!!

My husband brought me here for a birthday lunch. Tried to book it via the app, it wasn't working. Tried phoning it cut off So we just turned up. We arrived at 12.10 a bit early but it didn't matter the place was open.

8.20pm it still looked good and all tidy. The guy who carved for us at the servery was also a friendly chatty guy who genuinely seemed interested in what you had to say when he asked you a question. (Maybe he wasn't interested after all it was 8.20pm heading to the end of the day, but he really didn't show he wasn't lol lol seriously he was very friendly to the point i have actually remembered how pleasant was. I work in hospitality and we strive for our staff to give memorable moments to guests so I notice this sort of thing) Our greeter who we found out was called Kelly and I had met her before at the other Toby we used to go to instead of this one as this has gone down hill. She seated us and introduced us to the young lady who was to be our server for the evening. My apologies I do not remember the lady's name to give a mention but we were told, she had dark hair and was the only other female server on shift at that time I think. (The Manager will know who I mean) Both ladies were very friendly, smiling and went the extra mile to ensure our meal went well. Both of them actually made our evening better as we have always just ate and left this carvery as its never been very welcoming. We stayed last night had desserts and chatted with our drinks before leaving. Both ladies are an absolute credit to your restaurant/pub. More noticeable for me was the lacking presence of the miserable grumpy manager who had been there for quite a while previously. He was one of the reasons plus the awful state of the food that used to be on offer. Last time he told us there was a 20 min wait for meat unless we wanted Turkey. We were a party of 10 half ate half had to sit and wait for meat to be brought out. So we ate in two halves and left. Come on its a Toby Carvery with NO MEAT. Bottom line we stopped going here and took our business to Toby Carvery near Bushey/Radlett which we used to go regular on a Sunday lunch. The old Manager just had a face like a wet weekend never apologetic and always had a "BS" answer for what had gone wrong. Just what you need in the hospitality industry the Manager greeting the customers like they are an inconvenience. I did inquire last night if maybe the pub as now under new management and was told yes it was now. You can tell.

Excellent carvery. Food so good. Been a regular for years and tonight was the best ever. Food first class. Kelly waitress and Nigel the chef just so friendly. Also big thanks to David the new GM. Food topped up and hot.

Massive improvement. Went early Saturday evening. We used to go regularly but stopped due to quality of food, staff and cleanliness. Heard it had improved so decided to give a go again. Wow! What a difference staff have made. Really friendly and helpful. Efficient. The team leader from Slovakia what a lovely cheery gentleman. Believe he had been moved from Watford to help turn things around. The place still could do with a lick of paint but food was great and even saw someone going in to clean the toilets and they were clean when used. Server was also very friendly and efficient. Will be back soon. Also noticed how busy it was but queues moved very quickly and service very good. Massive credit to the new team front and back.
