Called in while on holiday in Blackpool with husband nice choice of meat & fresh veg back again in October will definitely be back friendly staff & very clean

First time calling at this place came in the evening and back the following day for breakfast. This place did not disappoint friendly most hard working staff who make us feel welcome from start to finish. The food was hot, fresh and most importantly not dry unlike the Bolton branch when we recently visited, they could learn so much from this place. The beer garden is great a little sun trap and on the beach front that is a bonus. If you are in St Anne’s then this place is well and truly worth a visit. Keep up the great work.

It was very busy got in quite quickly, the carvery food was lovely and hot eith plenty of choice. The staff was accommodating and extra friendly and actually smile unlike many venues

I visited Toby Carvery on 28 August for dinner. The food was tasty but somewhat tepid. I ordered a pot of tea and when returning to my table with my food my waitress informed me that there wasn’t a lid for my tea pot. I asked her there for to bring me back a pot of tea when she could find a lid for the tea pot so that it wouldn’t go cold. She returned some five minutes later to advise me that she couldn’t find a lid for any teapot and it would appear that they were all accidentally thrown away in the Dustbin. I had been there on the previous Sunday when all the tea pots had lids. Was also a little distressed that Toby has now adopted the American habit of instead of including the VAT in the price as a whole they added onto the bill not very good.

Had the most amazing experience today for a friends wedding, come in to beautiful place settings balloons and Mr & Mrs sign, we couldn't recommend the staff any more, our server was Craig he was very attentive he explained everything in detail including for allergies and was very patient with us all, Craig was there when we needed him and was very helpful he is a credit to you all thank you very much for a wonderful day and the food was so delicious and great value for money

Went with friends for lunch , had a lovely meal. Staff were friendly and the pub really clean. Got a table easily and the food was hot. Will come again.

I brought my partner here for a carvary. The pub was very busy but was amazed to be told a table would be ready in 15mins. We had a drink while we waited and was soon seated. The staff were polite and friendly and our food delicious. We would visit again as a lovely atmosphere and clean pub.

A nice surprise. Our usual haunt the Carriages Cafe across the road was closed today as footfall was light. So we popped into Salters Wharf for a late breakfast. First impression good. The price was low and it was eat as much as you can stick down your throat, and bottomless coffee too! So we tucked in. And even better, we like our eggs well cooked. And when the eggs were soft the chef kindly recooked them an extra few minutes to get them hard. And after this lovely start to the day, a young man came round the tables and gently announced that breakfast carvary was closing in five and would we like anymore grub. I was well impressed. Better in our bellies than the bin! We will be back, as the best compliment you can always pay is not nice words on TripAdvisor, but to return x Thank You x

We have been here many times and today we had a fabulous carvery lunch with superb service from Craig. The quality of the food was much better than our last visit and we couldn’t fault anything. Good value, speedy service and wholesome food piping hot. Ten out of ten today

Went to Toby's carvery at st Anne's in Lytham today 7th if June and what a fantastic meal we all had meat and vegetables all cooked to perfection .served to us by the chef who was so welcoming and friendly to us all. There was 3 of us we where looked after by a waitress called Alex who was also very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.both the chef and alex are most certainly a credit to toby carvery. We will be back in Blackpool in September and can not wait to return,we have been to a lot of Toby carvarys but can honestly say this one as certainly been the very best. Thankyou so much from us all

Nice carvery but sometimes you have to wait for serving dishes to be replaced but apart from that a nice meal with plenty of choice

Excellent experience - veg was fresh and meat plentiful and plenty of choice. We booked a week ahead and so glad we did the place was bouncing! The staff all smiles and nothing too much trouble. The team worked well together almost second guessing what was needed next! Well done - on a super busy day!

Great food and plenty to keep you going on the beach. Make sure you register your vehicle when you arrive at the restaurant. Great choice of fine foods cooked to perfection every time we have been.

In January we booked a table for a family of four at 6pm on Mothering Sunday. We had planned our day well in advance because we know how busy this day can be. We arrived at 6pm to be told they were running behind schedule and we’d have about a half hour wait for a table. The small bar area was full of customers in exactly the same situation. We had two young, very hungry, children with us. The 30 minute wait for a table turned into 40, during which time the children became increasingly restless. A stressful experience. When we finally got a table we heard a table nearby complain it had been 40 minutes for them and they hadn’t even received a drinks order. Thankfully our young waitress was friendly and attentive. While in the queue for food a staff member commented to a woman with a sleeping child “aww that’s nice”. To which the woman replied “he wouldn’t be asleep if we hadn’t had to wait so long!” The food itself was good and we enjoyed the meal. While eating we could hear other staff saying they’d lost track of what was happening and the plan was to “wing it.” We saw other customers leaving with children, clearly also angered by the delays. The wait meant our kids missed their bedtime. Parents with over tired children will appreciate the issues this causes. Unable to award any more than two stars because having planned this so far in advance we feel really let down. They’d clearly accepted too many bookings and couldn’t handle it. If you can’t honour the booking time don’t accept the booking!

We came here for Mother's Day today and we were so impressed with absolutely every part of the visit. The whole team were outstanding but a special mention has to go to our lovely waitress and the the lad behind the carvery. I wish I had of gotten their names but I am sure you will know who they were. Our lovely waitress was pleasant, efficient and a genuinely lovely person. She was attentive and professional and made us feel that we were the only customers in there. It was packed out but there was enough space to allow all the tables to feel comfortable and relaxed. The carvery was absolutely delicious, hot, fresh and plenty of it and the team were superb. I am vegan and the lovely young Chef informed me of what I could and couldn't have - including the mash which is not normally vegan in most carveries. He also asked me whether I had ordered vegan gravy and arranged for it to be sent to my table. Absolutely outstanding food and you should be exceptionally proud of the whole team! We will be back

Although it was very busy we were served quickly. Had the carvery was delicious, always the same good quality. I love the fact that it’s all fresh vegetables and lots of different kinds! Meat very tender and great gravy ! Can’t be beaten in my opinion.

My friend and I decided to go out for lunch in Lytham on a Saturday afternoon. We had not booked and chose the Toby as I had some Mitchells & Butlers (Which includes Toby) vouchers. We parked on the car park and paid for a few hours at a machine, we were hoping to walk on the seafront after our lunch. However, when we entered the restaurant, we realised that we could have parked for free, at least while we were eating, as there was a number plate capture screen as you enter. We received a warm welcome from the chap at front of house and he showed us to our table. Our waiter came to order drinks and he was polite and friendly as we both chose the carvery, I chose vegetarian carvery and there was plenty of choice. Everything was delicious. No complaints whatsoever and following our meal we had a lovely coffee too. Well presented and clean restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend it!

NO DOGS ALLOWED ???? Many many dining pubs are dog friendly now come on TOBY move with the times and increase your trade . Create a dog friendly area inside your pubs please 👍

Not very good to be honest things seem to have gone down hill a little or staff may need a little training. Eggs were really hard and they couldn't seem to keep up even though it wasn't busy. although nice host that's not what I paid for.

Had a wonderful experience at the Toby carvery Salters wharf! Me and my family came in for a meal, I had a king size carvery and took my starters home for a snack later :) meat was lovely and portioned really well! Variety of vegetables all fresh and looked delicious! Fantastic service from Courtney, Jess , Josh and everyone else that welcomed us! Will definitely come again! Great for most but for GF it’s a bit of a nightmare. I usually avoid these places but it was a needs must after a long day of travelling. It was clear that the question of GF isn’t asked often. I requested for my veg to be prepped in the kitchen to ensure cross contamination was minimal. I asked about roast/mash potatoes but was told I’d have to wait an hour for them, so I declined. Meat came from the counter. Still charged full price for veg and 3 slices of meat - maybe an offer in reduction in price for someone who can’t access most of the options? On another note, our waiter Callum was helpful and did try and find out answers to all our questions to ensure I could eat safely. The rest of the group ate without any issues and enjoyed their meals.

Greeted in a warm and friendly manner having book table relatively late on a Sunday evening, this did appear to have been a problem.

Fairly regular at this venue. Always good service - Alex and Sammy outstanding. All else very good. Food is typically well prepared. Served well. Clean and tidy venue. Never had a bad experience. Breakfasts - Main menu - Festive menu are all good.

This used to be our favourite carvery establishment ..... Arrived on time and asked for a table away from children as we wanted a nice quiet family meal. We spent the next 30 minutes watching a small child run around our area while his family...

Visited here recently had two carverys not that good!,cutting back on meat,veg was fair, hardly any gravy, surely staff should be keeping an eye on things like this. Wont be going there for breakfast.

I went to the Toby Carvery on Friday at 2:30PM for drinks and a carvery, the carvery was fabulous and the atmosphere was calm and peaceful. The staff were polite and helpful.I would like to make a special mention to Jan who did a fabulous job at taking my order, she was also polite, helpful, kind and she's such a happy member of staff. Not only Jan I also want to give my compliments and my gratitude to Sammi who is polite, kind and such a loyal member of staff. Well done Jan and Thank you Sammi.

Last minute choice to go for a carvery, chose Salter's Wharf as it was closest, very good meal and staff very pleasant and informative, and a special mention to Paul on his first day, very polite and helpful, keep up the good work.

Lovely visit on Saturday. Felt very safe with the Covid restrictions in place. Sandwiches were lovely and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Last week my mother, I and my son booked for lunch having been 2 weeks prior. once again you've all had to change the way you do things. Previously having to fill out a little tick sheet made things so simple and this time having to go up and choose, again really simple. It's a shame you all keep having to get used to new ways but your doing a good job compared to some places!Our waiter was amazing from start to finish. I did ask for his name but now I've completely forgotten, he did say he had only been there for two weeks and I was really impressed! He made us all laugh and nothing was too much trouble. Also my son loved the magic trick he did!During such a strange time it's really nice to see someone really enjoy there work and he made our day! Will no doubt come again in a couple of weeks, hopefully we'll get served by him again.

Visited, booked table 7pm 3rd October. All day I'd been drooling thinking of roast beef wrapped in a Yorkshire pudding wrap. The waitress told me "Sorry not available suppliers issues". Can I have the ciabatta wrap? "Sorry also not available, suppliers issues, but we can offer the bap." OK I'll have the bap - white. "Sorry". You guessed it suppliers. So ended up having roast beef on a brown bap. It came with chunks of beef not slices and roast potatoes that would have broken a window if I'd had thrown them. Came to the pudding as I was still peckish but we went through the same rigmarole twice before settling on my third choice.It was obvious to me that you were on a reduced menu but using menus that had been printed well before Easter. You should be more like Tim Martin's outfit. Have reduced menus printed on paper and that are disposed of after use.I had a freezing cold pint of Tetleys keg and ordered another at approximately 8.35 which was brought to me at 8.42, to be told that they were closing at 9pm! I told the waitress that I would be sat there until I'd finished it as I had about 2" left from my first pint and I was not going to rush my drink or leave it. Said the same to a senior (in age) waitress who came round who told me that their licensing was till 9pm. I said I weren't rushing it and not leaving it and told her what time it was when I was served this second pint and informed of your closing time. She said their closing time was posted on the door. At 7pm that would be the last thing I'd be looking for as I came in inundated with posters for QR scanning, masks and gel, wait here to be seated etc etc.Left very disappointed and with an uncomfortably full bladder as I didn't want to inconvenience the staff any further, by walking through the pub to the loo.

Simply brilliant....the best carvery I’ve had in years, visited on a Wednesday night with low expectations considering it was a mid week but how wrong could I be, it was fantastic, everything was fresh and tasted great. A big thumbs up from us 👍

Two meals from the car very. Good value and, of course, plenty to eat. Very quiet too at lunchtime. It’s not really clear that it is open when walking past. Good for us!

Very good service, staff excellent, and taking social distancing rules very seriously. Feel sorry for some of the staff as some customers do not appreciate the extra things the staff have to do.

I only called in for a drink but the pub has great safe covid procedures very clearly explained by the manager. Great evidence of active table cleaning too. The food looked great and when I visited the very clean toilets I could see guests were diligently eating tasty looking roast meals.

Had lunch here and we each chose turkey sandwich filling. We had a choice of bread and either roast potatoes or salad for just £4.99. There was plenty of turkey on the sandwiches and they were really tasty. Unfortunately my coffee wasn't hot enough for me but our server kindly rectified that. He was really pleasant and helpful. A really pleasant place to eat.

My partner and I recently went to the Salters Wharf and after looking at the unenticing menu decided to go for the carvery, wish we had not bothered. The food was luke warm , the meat was tough obviously been under the heat lamps for far too long, the vegetables were overcooked, and the gravy too thick and lumpy. The chef didn't seem keen on giving me an extra slice of turkey, even though that was the only meat I wanted. The waitress taking our order was very unhelpful and unfriendly, would not recommend this carvery to anyone.

Visited this Toby Carvery Establishment during 1 night stay in Lytham St Annes.Everything very well organised with very good Coved security arrangements in place.Meal was very tasty and I really enjoyed it.Special mention must be given to the Waitress Sammy who was excellent throughout.She was obviously very busy but dealt very efficiently with everything and had a very pleasant personality and always a smile on her face.All in all it was a very good meal and an enjoyable experience.

Because of covid food was dished out for us but it was a full plate of great tasting food and we could select what we wanted staff was nice and friendly will definitely be going here again

Had a very good carvery meal. We were pleased with the sanitation etc. Much prefer to serve ourselves, but we understand that is not possible at the moment. Courtney, our waitress, was most pleasant.

This was lunch for my wife and I and it was a return visit.We had the carvery.The only inconvenience was not being able to access the refills sift drink unit - but this is understandable.The food was hot, plentiful and well served.Worth a return visit.

There may be a reduced menu but there’s nothing available even from the reduced menu I’d advise to only come for basic carvery if you are desperate, there’s plenty of better food places out there.

We have eaten here many times and always had a good experience with the service, food and reasonable pricing. However, today we had no choice but to leave before we had even sat down. We had booked online, as usual, and when we arrived were shown to a table next to the toilets and sanitation station. We asked if there was another table available for us (there were a number of empty tables) as we didn't wish to sit outside the toilet area with a constant stream of people using them. The lady said "no, the system has put you here and we are very busy." Despite asking if we could have one of the other empty tables, the answer was still 'the system has put you here.' So, as we were getting nowhere, we walked out and are unlikely to return.

An excellent carvery, great value for money. Staff were really friendly and helpful getting us the app for the meal discount. Sammi was especially sweet with our six month old granddaughter when she was getting a bit fractious

Booked a table as we wanted to have a traditional family Sunday lunch. Food was fab. Delicious juicy meats and all you can eat veg. Yorkshire puddings massive. Staff here are always busy but are always on hand if you need them. Delicious ice cream sundaes if you have room left. Nice homely feel in a great location and a beer garden to sit in after dining. What more could you want. Top class. Covid procedures in place and fully explained

Just great , excellent carvery .. I just had to compliment the chef on leaving , the food is thee best ive ever eaten in a toby carvery , the waitress . Courtney was also superb , a credit to the pub well done 👏👏

Was ok. Had to wait ages for our drinks even after asking twice for them. Server gave my 4 year old more on his plate than an adults plate. Even when we said that's enough he put more on. Was a big waste. Overall food was good apart from the mash. Was so thick. Not to our taste.

Was out for a walk and decided to call in for breakfast. Greeted by the manageress who was very friendly. Breakfast was hot and delicious all you can eat buffet. Excellent Covid-19 procedures in place I was very impressed.

I prebooked for a family meal 7 days prior to our visit. When arriving we were 10 minutes late, I apologised we were a little late and the guy on entry asked if we had booked, I go on to give details he asks for in order to find our booking and he tells me there's nothing booked, I then get up the email of booking confirmation and show it to him after a while he tells us our table has now gone as we were too late for out table because they are only reserved for 15 minutes after the time booked. Having stood there for about 10 minutes waiting for him to even find our booking I explained that we would have been within that time frame had we not have waited to get in then had problems with our booking being found. He was extremely rude and even tried arguing with me in front of three children, then persisted we wait in the bar for a table to become free but the current wait time being an hour and 45 minutes after the time we had booked. Some customer service skills definitely needed for this guy or someone more welcoming and friendly needed on entry. Definitely won't be returning in the future.

We had a lovely meal today at Salters Wharf. Great value for money. The staff did a tremendous job and were really friendly and professional. We felt really safe everything was really clean and fully complied with social distancing.

Visited with friends hoping to have some food but not having pre-booked. On entering a very quiet restaurant we were promptly told that they were full and to return after 4pm. Of the many numbered outside tables only 5 were occupied. We left disgusted wondering how much longer this venue could possibly continue to remain in business. We will not return.

Do not visit this establishment if you value your safety during covid!!! NO compliance regarding 1m distancing or sanitizing of tables as I sat and watched people come and go from the same tables. No hand sanitiser suggested or shown on arrival apart from one on the bar that was being passed around from person to person queuing to be served at the bar!! .....No details taken from me as I hadn't booked for track and trace purposes. No hand soap in the toilets or sanitiser. Glasses being carried to tables by hand instead of trays to avoid contact......... The list carries on Aren't rules in place to be adhered to by the owners - shame on you Mitchell's and Butlers!

I’m not a fan of Carvery but we came here on our last visit and are not disappointed.Their Covid procedure was excellent and the size of the portions were very good.We both had turkey and it was lovely. Their Yorkshire pudding was massive.Excellent value.

I know it’s only a basic chain but the food was not good very bland and dry meat, came on Sunday evening so expected at least a decent meal and average service but didn’t even get that. Very disappointed

You get what you pay for that’s good value meals pleasantly served. Not 5 star dining but not 5 star prices. Good location and free parking.

Had booked a table on the app and specified we would like a table outside as had a dog. When we got there we were told that we couldn’t have a table outside if wanted food and we weren’t allowed inside with a dog. We pointed out that we had put this in the reservation and no one had let us know. Hostess bluntly told us that she didn’t have time to check reservations, that she had 400 people to sort that day. We found a much friendlier pub down the road. We won’t return to any Toby pub and would advise that if people want to work in hospitality they should learn how to be polite to customers.

Had a family dinner here on monday great food,well priced and mike the server could not do enough the bloke never stopped and made our time there brilliant he is a total credit to the company.well done.

Came here with my daughter, she didn’t fancy the Carvery so she has chicken nuggets, they were like bouncy balls. She didn’t eat them. Carvery was nice though

We visited here on a local trip to lytham, the carvery was lovely but the staff appeared over worked and very unfriendly. We hadn't booked a 2 year old on and was moaned out due to space even though we were a party of 6 on a table for 7!! Couldnt take our refills outside so hat to sit inside in very hot weather taking up a table. Wouldn't visit again.

Went in today intending to have Dinner with my Wife & Son. After waiting 30 mins and not being asked what we wanted to drink, never mind what food we wanted, I asked the waitress if we could order, she said yes and then turned to another couple who were seated after us and took their order. We then stood up and walked out.

The sun is shining and the beer garden is full so the bar closes because no glasses have been collected from outside. There’s a 30 minute closure to wash up before any more drinks can be served. I have never ever witnessed such a lack of organisation!

I very rarely write a review but the service I received at the Toby Carvery, Salters Wharf was excellent in every way.During these difficult times we were shown to our table and advised on the correct procedures that the company had put in place during Covid 19. At our table my young Son and I were greeted by Amy our waitress for our lunch.I have had my own business within the industry before and I have never seen such an exceptional member of staff such as Amy, she was looking after a number of tables within our area and did so with such calm and expertise.I had ordered myself a Carvery meal but was reluctant to leave my son on his own while waiting in the queue to be served, I asked Amy if I could change my order because of this but very kindly she arranged for the Chef to bring my meal to the table to allow me to stay with my son which was greatly appreciated.The Carvery in whole was nice, my Son enjoyed his Meatball Pasta and again I would like to thank the exceptional Amy and the rest of the team for our visit.Best of luck with your exam results Amy whoever your future employer will be they are very lucky to have you .

Having been given a voucher my sister and I visited here today. It was too hot for a carvery so we went for the salad option. Big mistake!We paid over £8 for a few lettuce leaves, two pieces of tomato and a couple of slivers of cucumber and carrot. £1.50 of the cost was for a tablespoon of grated cheese or a slice of meat from the carvery.Absolutely dreadful value. Never again.However the staff were helpful and all covid safety measures explained and in place.

Absolutely stunning, the beef was 5 star restaurant quality! We were served by courtney who was professional, friendly and helpful. Best Toby Carvery ever!

Service was what is expected under the current circumstances, however this does not stop the food from been correct , my yorkshire pudding was flat as a fried egg, half stuff on menu not available despite other toby carvery having same stuff available

I was very cautious about coming in due to the current situation but I believe all of the staff have handled it very well and I felt very safe throughout my visit. My partner and I had a lovely meal and our server (Courtney) was very polite and reassuring on the new measures in place to protect both the customers and staff. We hope to be back in again soon.

I’m writing this on behalf of my elderly in-laws who are not on tripadvisor however they have asked me to post this on their behalf. They are massive fans of Toby Carvery’s and the St Annes is their favourite, so much so, they travelled 70 miles each way today to go for a meal at Toby’s. Completely understandable that the food is being served to them now rather then self service with COVID however both in laws were served food where the meat was carved so poorly, they were just served scraps of meat, rather than slices, however the veg & potatoes were simply not cooked. Rock hard, undercooked cauliflower, carrots, broccoli etc, mashed potatoes that tasted vile and roast potatoes so overcooked, they were not edible! How on earth can a chef serve this food when it is clearly not fit for purpose? Surely they should taste the food that they serve first & if not cooked or over cooked, they refuse to serve to their customers? When the waitress enquired why they had left their food, she apologised once they advised it was inedible, however she still presented them with a bill for two meals. Sorry but to charge full price for two uneaten meals, to two 80 year old pensioners who had travelled a 140 miles round trip to their favourite Toby Carvery is just disgusting. Very disappointed to have to post this review - Can you please ask your chef who was serving at 2pm on Saturday 8th August, to taste the food first that he is serving. He has one job to do - make sure the food he cooks is edible to his paying customers. Surely this not too big an ask?

Staff excellent, social distancing great, toilets open but hard to social distance. Food was nice but for a carvery the slicing of the roast beef would have been easier if she had grated it, Meet was so scarce on my plate and grated rather than sliced.

Food was cold staff was slow dirty tables with food scattered on the floor very disappointed will not be returning

My husband and I visited today after pre booking a table, food was ok Courtney our server was very pleasant and helpful and Joe our carver was polite. However we didn't feel very comfortable with the somewhat lack of social distancing from some of the guests and their families even though there were markings to say socially distance. Also none of the staff were wearing masks or shields and the carvery was open plan with carver and guest very close to it.

Typical Toby Carvery, not the best food, but not at all bad. It's also the first Toby carvery where I've been where the customer service was bang on. Maybe its because of current restrictions I dont know but the girls that work here were all great. All smiles and very helpful and friendly. Now considering they were a lot lot busier they handled the pressure well which is why I give them 5 stars. The lads on the carvery were cheerful and friendly too.

This was our second visit to Salters Wharf since restaurants were allowed to open. Our first visit A couple of weeks ago was very positive. The restaraunt was well organised It felt very safe and the food was good. Although very quiet. We decided yesterday to take advantage of the government offer Of 50% off. We realised that the restaurant would be busy as it was a nice day. My husband went in and asked if there was a table two free, he was told that the restaurant was full but there was a table in the corner of the empty bar that we could have. There is no one there and it is quite safe. We agreed and ordered And paid for our food. The bar had I think seven tables and within 10 minutes of our sitting down all the tables were full. There were people all around the bar, buying drinks. last visit it was drinks service at the table and you were asked not to leave your table. To say it was chaos was an understatement the Manager and staff seemed to be overwhelmed and were having difficulty coping with the amount of people they had allowed in. We were lead to the carvery and told to stand in a certain place, with people walking past little social distancing. We got our food and pushed our way back to our table. I have to say we ate the food and got out of the building as quickly as possible. We were not asked for track and trace details, I don’t think anyone was. Food was okay but will not be returning anytime soon.

This was our first visit to a Toby’s and we will definitely be returning in the future. We pre-booked a table at 6:30pm and had to wait in the bar until our table was cleaned and ready for us. Greeter then took us to our table and our sever (Courtney) went over the process. We ordered x4 carverys and pigs and blankets. Courtney called 2/3 tables at a time to line up for the Carvery, to allow for social distancing. Plenty of choice at Carvery and everything was hot and fresh. The chef was bringing out fresh food very frequently. Overall, this was a great first visit and will definitely be back!

The menu is currently quite limited due to Covid restrictions. Carvery was good and staff were very conscientious. Unfortunately due to the new restrictions the atmosphere is a little quiet but I'm sure in time this will improve once more

Fantastic all you can eat breakfast at a reasonable price. Easy to eat your fill and sensible COVID measures put in place. Staff welcoming friendly and attentive to ensure you're able to get all you require.

When we came in we weren't informed of a one way system or a waiting time but ourserver Lucy was wonderful and gave great customeor service. very happy

It was a pre birthday treat to save ckng after lockdown i treated a friend it was a let down left most lost meat under mash n thick inst gravy i hav never seen or had meat cut wafer thin prefer to put on my plate myself not go again mind i hav said that before wen same meat carver i bet dont hav skimped portions

After a year since our last visit, this was better than ever, good food great service, thanks Alex, it is better now being served by the chef and quicker, should have one on carving and one on veggies, this is the only moan, besides, could we have a better soup range in the future without basil, really was a pleasant Birthday night for me, after lockdown, thank you Toby for a great meal x as a wheelchair user nothing was too much trouble, hopefully see you later in the year, hopefully for weekday breakfast x

Visited before lockdown Food was ok but a bit dry and staff were very slow at replenishing the veg etc The carver was a lady who was extremely rude and made you feel greedy in front of other customers just because we asked for a small bit of all the meats. The pub has a great location but we won’t be revisiting after the way we were treated We emailed our complaint but didn’t get a response Toby carvery chain need to get a grip and employ better staff or send in more secret dinners

Booked ahead for the first night of our break in St Annes and expected it to be busy. It was a gorgeous evening so when we arrived we asked to sit outside. They appreciated the restaurant was hot but told us it was eating in only and showed us to a table next to the carvery! We asked to be sat near the open window instead. Within minutes another family was sat very close to us despite plenty of empty tables around the room. Food was ok, bit dry but it usually is in these places. As soon as we had eaten we headed outside with our drinks to cool off and safely distance from other customers. Would I visit again/recommend? No, place is way too hot, was uncomfortable with proximity of other diners, food not great.

Having booked online as we were staying at The Grand Hotel just opposite, we received a text to say our table was ready 15 mins ahead of our booked slot. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly staff member who proved to be 1 of 4 who we were served by during our visit, all of whom could be seen constantly on the move and meeting the needs of the customers in the restaurant. The food was being replenished throughout the time we were there, and we even saw unfinished meat joints being removed as they had exceeded their time for being on display. The staff appeared in complete control of the systems in place to ensure customers were all served seemlessly. We received table service for our drinks and were advised when we could approach the Carvery area to be served by a staff member with all of the options. There was little waiting time and the food was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant as not only was it fabulous value for money, the service experience for our first time out since lockdown proved to be outstanding and reassuring with the measures in place. Great food, excellent value for money and hard working customer focused friendly staff to serve you. What more could you ask for on a meal out!!!Show less

We went for dinner at the tiny carvery the staff were really nice and looked after us, however we did feel very uncomfortable as the staff did not wear masks including the lady who was serving the food. However the worst thing was the fact that although they now serve the food which is fine there were no screens on the front protecting the food from customers breathing and coughing which did happen all over the food. I did feel the covering of the food word be priority and was really shocked to see it wide open to all elements , with vivid around it seems so wrong. I will not be going again as j just did not feel safe it is a shame as I have been there every time I visit and the staff are amazing.

Was told we couldn't eat outside in the fresh air because they didn't have the staff to cover the tables. Meanwhile 3 waitresses were busy in and out bringing the glasses in from outside. With the current social distancing still in place, on what planet does this make sense?? Very dodgy Toby Carvery
