Good food let down by the 30 minute queue for the carvery, even though we had booked. One server for a busy lunchtime trade is ridiculous. Pork non existent. Turkey skeleton only. We were told on arrival that there was a special offer on if we had downloaded an app….. If there is a special offer on, then the staff should have been increased. Lots of elderly people there. They struggled to stand in the queue. Having said that, the food we got was good. But, please, employ extra, properly trained staff. I don’t think people mind paying for decent service. How to pay was another mystery. No one seemed to be checking.

Everytime we go to this Toby we get a good meal and a good experience. James is so welcoming friendly and chatty at the meat station! All the staff we encounter are always polite and friendly.

Bloddy ridiculous. Shutting the bar at 9.30. Anyone staying at the travel lodge please be aware. Was told this was how it is since covid. A complete lie as we stayed in the travel lodge in November and enjoyed a few nights including a fun trivia night. Not trusting anything they say now

Second week in a row and both weeks the queue was really long. I waited at least 15 minutes. I have never seen this before in other Toby's. Lets start with the positives. Delicious food, as per usual. Cannot fault the meat, the veg etc. My only issue this time was the long queue, the server wiped his runny nose on his arm/hand in front of us and the tables are so close together it's hard to have a conversation with the person/people you are with. Other than that a great plate of food.

Terrible manager!! We ordered garlic mushrooms after several times of asking where they were, they arrived 40 minutes after placing the order and they were barely warm, the manager was extremely rude and very stressed, I said we didn’t want the cold starter and asked her what she would do. She replied ‘oh my god oh my god, I’ll take the mushrooms off the bill! We didn’t want them anyway as they were inedible! The waitress Pauline was very helpful, polite and apologetic, would not recommend this restaurant

Booked a table just to make sure we got a seat on a Sunday. Got our drinks at the bar as we were a little early. It was so busy but the staff were amazing 🤩 . Line for the food appears long but only took 10 minutes. Food was amazing I had gammon and turkey hubby had beef and lamb. All nice and no fat on them. Veg potatoes gravy all lovely and hot even treated ourselves to pigs in blankets. Cold drinks are refillable. All in all an overall good meal and left full and happy 😊

LOVE the food on a Toby carvery breakfast but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE wash the damn mushrooms .. they are lovely closed cup Mushrooms .. sounds ridiculous but it really puts me off coming .. until you start to wash them I won’t be in and I’m sure others won’t either when they see this review !! I know they aren’t washed previous staff have shared this information with me openly .. it’s a simple hygiene task .. please do this going forward thanks !!

Arrived greeted by Jamie-Leigh she was very pleasant and the waitress Kim Bacon was very attentive. Food was to very high standard pork and turkey parsnips cabbage carrots Yorkshire pudding roast potatoes. Great meal and atmosphere

We've been coming to TC Binley Woods for years and have always had a great experience. A midweek carvery is much better for us to be honest - but over all the food is always fresh, delicious and the staff are always great and very professional. Just need perhaps one more person working the bar as it's rather a lengthy wait if you have to eat in the bar area. Poor chap on shift on Wednesday was absolutely swamped with customers.

Amazing food, but other customers have no respect for others trying to eat, today I went in and as we were eating a guy was with his family who had a baby and the comment he made put me and my girlfriend off our food, his comment was “don’t sh*t in the gravy now”, and the staff just laughed, I understand it was a joke but come on, have some respect

We went for a casual breakfast and thought we were in for a nightmare as it was 'breakfast with Santa' so loads of families and really busy. Then no concerns at all, the staff were brilliant, service was great, food was delicious and all at a great price. A definite recommendation. Well done to the Toby team.

Today we went to this establishment - 8 people -booked the meal for 12 noon - started eating at 1.30 pm - - no spoons for soup - main meal plates half way throught of group being served run out of plates when replenished they were cold - dessert by the time the first were served they had finished before the rest were served for a Christmas meal very bad no crackers, no decorations Will not go there again

We came here as a party of 20 for a christmas works meal. We were made to feel special and the food,price and service was amazing. Big thank you to shannon and pauline and the great guy serving on the carvery. Definately coming back next year.x

Breakfast with Santa - there was 9 of us . Great grandma great grandad grandad Nannie mum and dad granddaughter mum and granddaughter. Taken to our table by santas helper - food was excellent great variety of food and hot. Service was excellent by Joy she looked after us . Then gran kids met Santa and got there gifts. Overall excellent family experience

Came in today for food with the family, I had a really nice meal as it was fresh and hot and the service I received today was great especially from the carver named James he was professional and very chatty and made me feel very welcome

Chef (small lad in chef hat) serving the meat mardy and handed out very small portions. Clearly looked like he did not want to be there, not good in a customer service environment. While some of the meat was OK I would not have fed the Turkey to my dog. Vegetables and the rest lukewarm at best. Not worth £13.99 a meal. Will not be going back.

Booked a table for two for 12pm thought it wouldn't be busy and it wasn't. Was first person today to be served at 12.05, everything looked lovely, most veg had covers on to keep warm, but nothing on the meats, not even the heating lights. The meal was luke warm, the potatoes cold. We were seated in a cold area of the reataurant also which as pensioners was not pleasant We had 20% knocked off the price after complaining to the waitress but no offer of warming the meals or putting heating on in our area. Very dismal attitudes from the staff considering this time of year.

We recently visited Toby Carvery, Binley. The food was lovely, the atmosphere was great. The restaurant was busy and there was also a large meeting going on in the private conference room. With all this going on we were never made to feel rushed or hurried for our table. The staff were attentive and service was quick. I asked a member of staff (i believe she was part of the management team) for help and nothing was too much trouble. I felt the whole team work well together. I look forward to our next visit. Last 3 weeks I've been to this restaurant for a take away, each time I'm told that the wait for a takeaway is in excess of 1 hour, their was no queue so I asked why this was, and was told that with a takeaway I have to fill out a form stating what I would like to eat then the form is taken back into the kitchen for my meal to be prepared which defeats the whole idea of a carvery, I did question this and the reply I received was that I could watch my meat be carved but then under no circumstances could I pick what I wanted or not even point out to the chef what vegetables I wanted from the carvery, everything had to be done out back, it all seemed very bizarre so I won't be back, their is an excellent carvery down the road at the walsgrave

Had the misfortune to have dinner here as a first customer with my girlfriend.. The Customer service was absolutely shocking… The greeter didn’t show any eye contact when we first arrived, our so called waitress who didn’t look old enough to be even working in a restaurant didn’t even bother to come to our table, had to get our own drinks from the bar as we were sat at the table for at least 10 mins with zero contact from our so called waitress, food was decent at that’s about it… what really annoyed me was our so called waitress served other tables after us… went to complain to the “management” and got told “sorry about that”, pathetic to be honest!!! Avoid at all costs!!!! 😡😡🙄🙄

Attended for breakfast this morning, prior to my drive back to Devon, refurb is absolutely lovely and now highly welcoming. Breakfast was lovely, however was cold could certainly do with being warmer or having microwaves located to warm food up to personal preference. I did however turn the hot water up as again this was only set to 50 so tea & coffee was cold. Black pudding should be part of the weekday menu and not just weekends, maybe a suggestion would could be fed back. Overall can’t complain just some suggestions 😀

Pauline was lovely, made our experience exceptional. Always impressed with the amount of food you get and the portions you can choose from.

Meats were a bit fatty but Pauline is a terrific waitress. She looks after her customers perfectly. 5 stars.

Chefs were not wearing hats, one had long hair and was quite off putting. Mentioned it to a manager and nothing was done.
